In allusion to the lack of the method to assess feeder utilization after distributed generation (DG) accesses to the distribution network, a method is proposed to evaluate the feeder utilization. First, the confidence capacity (CC) of DG is calculated based on equal reliability principle; second, combining with load rate and capacity factor two indicators, the influence of DG on feeder utilization is analyzed from the perspective of CC; finally, taking improved IEEE-RBTS-BUS6 subsystem as an example to evaluate the corresponding impact, the results show that DG can improve the utilization level of the feeder.
