TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND INNOVATION IN THE MANUFACTURING SECTOR: A MODERATION MEDIATION MECHANISM OF ORGANISATIONAL CULTURE AND KNOWLEDGE SHARING

Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the mediation effect of knowledge sharing on the relationship between transformational leadership and innovation. The moderating role of organisational culture was also tested on the relationship between transformational leadership and knowledge sharing. Theoretical Framework: This investigation is based on the transformational leadership theory. Transformational leaders inspire people to share knowledge and create a work environment that is supported by a conducive organisational culture. Method: Based on extensive literature review, a structured questionnaire was designed, and data were collected via Google forms from a total of 510 manufacturing sector employees based in three SADC region countries. Statistical analyses were done using SMART PLS 4. Results and Discussion: The study established that while transformational leadership had a significant positive impact on innovation, knowledge sharing partially mediated the relationship between the two variables. Organisational culture had a weak but positive impact on the relationship between transformational leadership and knowledge sharing.These results support prior research findings. Research Implications: Transformational Leadership and knowledge sharing were found to be positively associated with innovation, hence, theoretically, this study validates the antecedents of innovation in a manufacturing sector context. Practically, managers in the SADC manufacturing sector must exhibit attributes of transformational leadership whilst creating a conducive organisational culture that supports knowledge sharing. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by proposing and validating a mediation-moderation model that supports the impact of transformational leadership on innovation. The relevance and value of this research is evidenced by an improvement in the quality of exportable products from the SADC manufacturing sector through the transformative efforts of organisational leaders.

Empirical insights into business intelligence adoption and decision-making performance during the digital transformation era: Extending the TOE model in the Jordanian banking sector

Organisations have been increasingly adopting decision support and business intelligence (BI). However, there is still considerable academic interest in comprehending the factors that influence the decisions to embrace such technologies. Moreover, the use of BI in developing countries, like Jordan, is remain at an early stage. This study examines the factors that impact the adoption of BI in the banking sector. This research also examines at the impact of BI adoption on decision-making performance in Jordan commerce banks. A conceptual framework was formulated as an extension of the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework to determine how technological, organizational and environmental factors influence the adoption of business intelligence (BI) in the banking sector. An empirical analysis was conducted with a sample of employees working for Jordanian commercial banks. Hypotheses were analysed through partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) using 251 responses that were obtained from respondents using an administered a questionnaire. The outcomes display a significant positive relationship between the TOE factors and the adoption of BI, which emphasizes their criticality as far as shaping BI adoption in commercial banks is concerned. However, it could be noted that organisational readiness related to one of the organisation’s factors has not been found to affect BI adoption. This suggests that further scrutiny is required on specific organisational aspects that can impact on BI adoption in banking environments. Moreover, the study revealed that the adoption of BI greatly improves decision-making performance. These findings highlight the importance of the Jordanian banking sector embracing a complete approach that incorporates cutting-edge technology solutions, a conducive organisational culture, and adaptability in order to maximise the adoption and use of BI. This report provides significant insights for banks aiming to improve their adoption of BI and perform informed and data based decisions in the continually evolving banking sector. The study provides numerous theoretical and practical contributions, acknowledges its limitations, and offers possibilities for future research.

Barriers and facilitators of evidence-based practice in the Portuguese context: perceptions of formal nursing leaders.

Formal nursing leaders play an important role in promoting and sustaining evidence-based practice (EBP) in the clinical context, particularly by creating a conducive environment for change and increasing clinicians' awareness of the positive results of EBP. However, nursing leaders encounter both barriers and facilitators in their work; therefore, it is important to understand their perceptions on this topic. The objective of this study was to understand the perceptions of formal nursing leaders about barriers and facilitators for EBP. A descriptive exploratory study with a qualitative approach was conducted. A convenience sample was obtained, consisting of formal nursing leaders from three Portuguese health care institutions. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews. Content analysis was conducted using MAXQDA Analytic Pro 2022 software. Seventeen formal nursing leaders were interviewed. Five categories of EBP barriers were identified: (1) scarce resources and inefficient resource management; (2) non-conducive organizational culture; (3) distance between academia and the clinical context; (4) demotivation; and (5) resistance to change. Seven categories of EBP facilitators were identified: (1) availability of resources and efficient resource management; (2) conducive organizational culture; (3) partnerships between academia and the clinical context; (4) motivation and commitment; (5) leadership; (6) organization that regulates professional practice; and (7) multidisciplinary meetings. This study identified barriers and facilitators for EBP through the perceptions of formal nursing leaders. Collaborative multidisciplinary efforts by leaders, direct care professionals, academics, and researchers should be conducted to overcome barriers and strengthen facilitators for EBP. http://links.lww.com/IJEBH/A242.

Digital Transformation, Emotional Intelligence, and Organizational Culture Toward Internal Audit Quality: Conceptual Framework

This paper investigates the interplay between digital transformation, emotional intelligence (EI), and internal auditing quality within Saudi public institutions, with a focus on the mediating role of EI and the moderating role of organizational culture. The advent of digital transformation has significantly influenced internal auditing practices, necessitating an adaptation to new technologies and methodologies. Emotional intelligence is identified as a crucial factor in enabling audit teams to effectively manage the challenges and opportunities presented by digital transformation, enhancing communication, decision-making, and adaptability. Organizational culture further influences this relationship by providing a supportive environment that facilitates the adoption of digital innovations and the development of EI among audit personnel. The findings suggest that a synergistic approach, incorporating digital transformation initiatives with the development of EI and fostering a conducive organizational culture, can significantly enhance the quality and effectiveness of internal auditing in Saudi public institutions. This study contributes to the understanding of how digital transformation, EI, and organizational culture interact to improve internal auditing practices, offering valuable insights for policymakers and practitioners aiming to optimize internal audit functions in the face of ongoing digital advancements.

Budaya Organisasi dan Faktor-Faktor yang Membentuknya di Sekolah

This research aims to explore organizational culture and identify its shaping factors in the context of an educational environment. By adopting a case study approach, this research offers an in-depth analysis of the dynamics of organizational culture in a private educational institution in Medan. The research methodology relies on data triangulation through in-depth interviews, direct observation and document review. Thematic analysis was used to process the collected data, enabling a holistic understanding of the phenomenon under study. The research findings revealed that the concept of organizational culture in a school environment is a manifestation of a system of values, beliefs, and patterns of behavior that are collectively embraced by all elements of the school. This study successfully identified several main factors that play a role in the formation of the organizational culture, including: the leadership style of the principal, the individual characteristics of the teachers, the prevailing education policy, and the expectations of the parents. In conclusion, organizational culture in a school environment is formed through a complex interaction of various factors. A deep understanding of these factors can serve as a foundation for educational institutions in their efforts to manage and develop a conducive organizational culture. This in turn is expected to encourage the improvement of learning quality as well as the professional development of educators.

Barriers and facilitators to health professionals' engagement in quality improvement initiatives: a mixed-methods systematic review.

Quality improvement (QI) initiatives in healthcare are crucial for enhancing service quality and healthcare outcomes. The success of these initiatives depends on the active engagement of healthcare professionals, which can be influenced by several factors within the healthcare system. This systematic review synthesized the factors influencing healthcare professionals' engagement in QI projects, focusing on identifying both barriers and facilitators. A mixed methods systematic review (MMSR) was conducted using the JBI methodology for MMSR. Databases such as MEDLINE, CINAHL, Scopus, and Embase were searched for studies that explored barriers and facilitators to QI engagement of health professionals in the clinical setting. Methodological quality was assessed using the Mixed-Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT). The extracted data were synthesized using the JBI convergent integrated approach to MMSR. Eighteen studies (seven qualitative, nine quantitative, and two mixed-methods) published between 2007 and 2023 were included in the review. The analysis revealed barriers and facilitators to engagement in QI initiatives at different levels of the health system. At the QI program level, the engagement of health professionals to QI was influenced by the approach to QI, evidence underpinning the QI initiative, QI knowledge and training, and access to QI specialists. At the health professional level, barriers and facilitators were related to their organizational role, motivation, perceptions about QI, and collaborations with individuals and groups. At the organizational level, factors related to culture and climate, leadership, available resources (including human resource and workload, infrastructure, and incentives), and institutional priorities influenced health professionals' participation in QI. This review highlights the complex interplay of organizational, individual, and QI program level factors that influence the engagement of healthcare professionals in QI. Overcoming these complex barriers and leveraging facilitators is crucial for enhancing participation in QI efforts. The findings underscore the need for a multi-level strategy that focuses on creating a conducive organizational culture, providing robust leadership, and ensuring adequate resources and training for healthcare professionals. Such strategies hold the potential to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of QI initiatives in healthcare settings.

The Influence of Islamic Leadership and Organizational Culture on Lecturer Satisfaction and Performance Alkhairaat Palu University

Objectives: The aim of this research is twofold. Firstly, it seeks to analyze the influence of Islamic leadership and organizational culture on the job satisfaction and performance of lecturers at Alkhairaat University, Palu. Secondly, it aims to examine the impact of Islamic leadership and organizational culture on satisfaction and performance through job satisfaction. Methods: This verification research employs a quantitative approach to analyze the influence of Islamic leadership variables and organizational culture variables on job satisfaction and performance of lecturers at Alkhairaat University, Palu. Results: The results of this research reveal that Islamic leadership significantly affects the job satisfaction of lecturers at Alkhairaat University, Palu. Additionally, Islamic leadership has a significant effect on lecturer performance through job satisfaction, although it does not directly impact performance. This finding suggests that the influence of Islamic leadership on performance is mediated by job satisfaction. Organizational culture variables, on the other hand, significantly affect both job satisfaction and performance of lecturers at Alkhairaat University, Palu. Furthermore, organizational culture influences performance through satisfaction. Job satisfaction itself is found to significantly affect the performance of lecturers at Alkhairaat University, Palu. Conclusion: In conclusion, this research highlights the significant influence of Islamic leadership and organizational culture on the job satisfaction and performance of lecturers at Alkhairaat University, Palu. While Islamic leadership directly impacts job satisfaction and indirectly affects performance through satisfaction, organizational culture directly influences both job satisfaction and performance. These findings underscore the importance of fostering positive Islamic leadership and a conducive organizational culture in enhancing the satisfaction and performance of lecturers in an Islamic-based institution like Alkhairaat University.

Organizational Culture & Employee Well Being (With Special Reference to Automotive Sector)

In contemporary workplaces, organizational culture (OC) plays a pivotal role in shaping the experiences and well-being of employees (Belias & Koustelios, 2014). Impact of OC on employee well-being cannot be overstated, as it serves as a cornerstone for fostering a supportive and thriving work environment. OC shapes the attitudes, behaviours, and experiences of employees, influencing their satisfaction, engagement, and overall quality of life. A positive organizational culture can enhance employee morale, motivation, and resilience, leading to higher levels of job satisfaction, lower stress levels, and improved mental health outcomes (Simeli, Theocharis, Vasileiou, & Tsekouropoulos, 2024). On the other hand, a negative or toxic culture can breed disengagement, burnout, and even physical and psychological health issues among employees. Recognizing and nurturing a conducive organizational culture is essential for promoting employee well-being, driving productivity, and sustaining organizational success in the long run (Assoratgoon & Kantabutr, 2023). Service Quality and Organizational Culture on Taxpayer Compliance

This research analyzes the influence of service quality and organizational culture on taxpayer compliance. The research approach used is quantitative research using survey methods. The data collection technique used in this research was a Likert scale questionnaire. The research sample comprised 100 taxpayer respondents at the Sumedang Regency Primary Tax Service Office. The research results show that service quality and organizational culture partially and simultaneously influence taxpayer compliance. This research contributes to understanding the factors influencing taxpayer compliance, especially regarding service quality and organizational culture. The results of this research can be used as a basis for increasing taxpayer compliance through improving service quality and developing a conducive organizational culture.

Visionary Leadership Kepala Madrasah dalam Mengembangkan Budaya Organisasi yang Inklusif dan Berdaya Saing di Lembaga Pendidikan Islam

This study aims to determine the visionary leadership of madrasah heads in developing an inclusive and competitive organizational culture in Islamic educational institutions. This study uses a literature study method to identify and analyze the results of previous research that are relevant to the topic. The source of data for this research comes from various articles published through google scholar, Journal, and PubMed. The data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings of this research are that the visionary leadership of the head of the madrasah is the ability of the head of the madrasah to create, formulate, communicate, and implement ideal ideas that come from him or the result of social interaction among madrasah members as the ideals of the madrasah in the future that must be achieved or realized through the commitment of all personnel. The development of organizational culture in schools cannot be separated from the leadership role of the principal as the main actor who determines and colors the lives of school residents. The visionary leadership of the head of the madrasah must be able to create a conducive organizational culture. The same steps and vision in carrying out duties and responsibilities must be possessed by each member so that everyone can improve his or her professionalism.

In the rapidly evolving landscape of higher education, the role of organizational culture and administrative effectiveness has garnered significant attention. This study aims to investigate the moderating effect of big data analytics capabilities on the relationship between organizational culture and administrative effectiveness in higher education institutions in Sichuan, China. The study will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis through surveys and qualitative insights through interviews. The sample will consist of faculty members, administrative staff, and management personnel from various higher education institutions across Sichuan province. The theoretical framework will draw upon literature on organizational culture, administrative effectiveness, and big data analytics capabilities. Organizational culture dimensions such as innovation, adaptability, collaboration, and leadership will be evaluated using established scales. Administrative effectiveness will be assessed based on factors such as efficiency, responsiveness, transparency, and stakeholder satisfaction. The research will explore how the organizational culture of higher education institutions in Sichuan influences administrative effectiveness. Additionally, it will investigate the role of big data analytics capabilities in moderating this relationship. Specifically, it will examine how institutions with varying levels of big data analytics capabilities leverage data-driven insights to enhance administrative practices and overall effectiveness. Clinical nurses’ work-life balance prediction due to patient safety incidents using classification and regression tree analysis: a secondary data analysis

BackgroundPatient safety incidents lead to performance difficulties for nurses when providing nursing practice. This affects work-life balance and causes second and third-victimization. This study predicts factors affecting clinical nurses’ work-life balance due to patient safety incidents using classification and regression tree analysis techniques.MethodsThis study was a secondary analysis of data from a cohort research project, which used a descriptive survey for data collection. Participants comprised 372 nurses. Data were collected using SurveyMonkey, a mobile-based survey software solution, from January to September 2021. Data included the general characteristics of clinical nurses, second damage, second damage support, third damage, and work-life balance. The specific variables included in the analysis chosen through rigorous Lasso analysis form the foundation for predicting work-life balance. Variables with low explanatory power were excluded, thereafter, the variables selected by Lasso were analyzed with a classification and regression tree model to predict work-life balance.ResultsA regression tree was applied to predict work-life balance using seven variables—education level, marital status, position, physical distress, second-victim support, turnover intentions, and absenteeism (selected through Lasso analysis). After pruning, at tree size four, when turnover intentions were < 4.250, physical distress < 2.875, and second-victim support < 2.345, the predicted work-life balance was 3.972. However, when turnover intentions were < 4.250, physical distress < 2.875, and second-victim support ≥ 2.345, then the predicted work-life balance was 2.760.ConclusionsThis study's insights offer crucial groundwork for crafting targeted workforce risk management strategies and fostering a conducive organizational culture to mitigate nursing occupational stress, potentially curbing the recurrence of patient safety incidents and improving nursing practice while enhancing patient outcomes. Future research should explore second and third victim experiences across various healthcare settings globally to understand their impact on WLB and patient safety outcomes.

Unveiling the nexus of leadership, culture, learning independence, passion trend-based learning, and teacher creativity in shaping digital student skills

Education in the digital era requires a holistic and innovative approach to ensure that learning is not only effective but also relevant to the demands of the times. This study aims to identify the interaction effect between instructional leadership, organizational culture, and student learning independence on passion-based learning, teacher creativity, and student skills in the digital era. This research was approached with a quantitative approach, using the Structural Equation Modeling method. The respondents were principals and teachers of senior high schools totaling 270 respondents. The stages of analysis included exploratory factor analysis, normality and outlier tests, confirmatory factor analysis and hypothesis testing with the help of SPSS and AMOS software. The results showed that the three main elements mentioned significantly influenced passion-based learning, teacher creativity and student skills. This means that in order to improve students' skills in the digital era, it is important to encourage the integration of effective instructional leadership practices, the creation of a conducive organizational culture, and students' learning independence, in order to stimulate passion-based learning and teacher creativity, which can further improve students' skills.

ABSTRACT&#x0D; The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the Effectiveness of Dalam Control, Perseorangan Morality, and Organizational Culture on fraud tendencies( Fraud)( Case Study at LPD in Nusa Penida District). This study was conducted in LPD in the zona of Nusa Penida with a population of 45 LPD with a keseluruhan sample measured of 158 people. The research sample is determined by the purposive sampling method, which is a certain criterion. The informasi collection technique using a questionnaire was then carried out multiple linear regression analysis, determination coefficient test and t test. The results of this study found that( 1) the effectiveness of dalam control has a significant effect on the tendency to fraud,( 2) perseorangan morality has a significant effect on the tendency to fraud,( 3) organizational culture has a significant effect on the tendency to fraud. Suggestions that can be given are to increase the effectiveness of dalam control to prevent fraud, foster high perseorangan morality and maintain a conducive organizational culture so that fraudulent acts can be prevente..&#x0D; Keywords: Effectiveness of Internal Control. Exploring The Interplay of Personality Dimensions and Organizational Culture on Organizational Citizenship Behavior

This research aims to elucidate the intricate relationship between personality dimensions, organizational culture, and their cumulative effect on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) at Al-Madani Majalengka Islamic Boarding School. Our study designates personality dimensions as the independent variable and organizational citizenship behavior as the dependent variable, with organizational culture serving as a control variable. We adopted a stratified random sampling method, culminating in a sample size of 178 respondents. Data were collected via questionnaires and subsequently analyzed through bivariate correlation techniques and partial correlation methods using SPSS version 26 software. Our bivariate correlation analysis revealed a significant, positive correlation between personality dimensions and organizational citizenship behavior. Simultaneously, partial analysis indicated that organizational culture could mediate the impact of personality dimensions on OCB. Therefore, we concluded that personality dimensions indeed significantly and positively impact OCB. However, to realize the potential of an individual's personality, it is paramount that a conducive organizational culture, encapsulating guidelines, values, and rules, is present to foster OCB at Al-Madani Islamic Boarding School Cikalong Majalengka.

Cost Management and Strategic Decision Making: The Role of Managerial Accounting

This study investigates the integration of cost management and strategic decision-making, focusing on the role of managerial accounting. It aims to explore how advanced cost management techniques, particularly Activity-Based Costing (ABC), contribute to achieving competitive advantage and aligning with strategic objectives. The research employs a qualitative design, using case studies and interviews with senior managers and financial controllers in medium to large manufacturing firms. This approach provides detailed insights into the implementation and effectiveness of ABC and other cost management practices in strategic decision-making. The findings reveal that ABC enhances cost information accuracy, facilitating more informed strategic decisions regarding pricing, product mix, and process improvements. Top management support and a conducive organizational culture are crucial for successful ABC implementation. Firms that regularly update their cost management practices maintain accuracy and relevance in cost information. The balanced scorecard effectively aligns cost management with strategic objectives, improving strategic alignment and decision-making. Organizations should prioritize adopting ABC, ensure strong top management support, and foster a culture of innovation. Regular updates to cost management practices and investment in training programs enhance managerial competencies and decision-making. These findings provide valuable insights for practitioners and scholars, highlighting the strategic role of managerial accounting in driving competitive advantage.

Experiences of Organizational Practices That Advance Women in Health Care Leadership

Women are underrepresented in health care leadership positions. Organizational practices and culture play a key role in mitigating this disparity. To explore the experiences of women in leadership roles and inform how health care organizations can support the advancement of women into leadership. This qualitative study used a constructivist grounded theory approach applied over a 1-year period (May 1, 2021, to May 31, 2022) in a large private health care network in Australia. Women were eligible if they had been in leadership positions for more than 5 years. Purposive and theoretical sampling guided recruitment of 28 women, representing medical, nursing, and allied health specialties. Interviews lasted 1 hour, producing 500 pages of transcripts for analysis. The primary outcome was a model of organizational practices and conditions that advance women in health care leadership, extrapolated from the collective experiences of women in leadership. Key elements pertained to organizational patterns of interaction and group norms and behaviors that contributed toward women's experiences of career advancement. Overall, 28 women (23 [82%] White; 3 [11%] Southeast Asian) participated in the study, 10 (36%) of whom were in nursing, 9 (32%) of whom were in allied health, and 9 (32%) of whom were in medical disciplines. Organizational practices that advance women in health care leadership were highly dependent on conducive organizational culture enhancing women's credibility and capability as leaders. Four interrelated elements were identified that create the necessary conditions for an organizational culture to advance women in health care leadership, including (1) identifying and actively addressing systemic barriers, (2) challenging gendered assumptions and expectations of leadership behaviors, (3) providing mentorship to shape career opportunities, and (4) determining how these conditions all contribute toward raising women's credibility to enable internalizing a leadership identity. For women, advancing to leadership involved organizations moving away from ad hoc, inconsistent applications of gender equity practices and generating supportive practices that reinforced a workforce culture of credibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement to support women. In light of persisting inequity in health care leadership, women's experiences were captured in this qualitative study to identify organizational practices that support their advancement. Insights into factors that influence efficacy of these practices, including building a supportive culture and mentoring, are discussed. This research informs a National Health and Medical Research Council initiative with international collaborators to support organizations in advancing women in health care leadership.

Efforts to Increase Lecturer Involvement through Organizational Culture, Transformational Leadership and Economic Prosperity

This study analyses efforts to increase lecturer involvement through organizational culture, transformational leadership and economic prosperity. The background of this research is located at STIT Al-Ittihadiyah Labuhanbatu Utara, North Sumatra Province. The research subjects included six lecturers, consisting of 4 permanent lecturers of the PGMI Study Program and two permanent lecturers of the PIAUD Study Program, as well as information from higher education leaders and the foundation. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study. The results of this study conclude that the moral and direct involvement of private lecturers who teach at STIT Al-Ittihadiyah Labuhanbatu Utara increases from 2017 to 2022 based on 3 (three) aspects; the first is a conducive organizational culture based on integrity, professionalism and the principle of kinship. Second, the transformational leadership practised by high school leaders prioritizes the target of change rather than just a structural position. Third is economic welfare, where lecturers are given a monthly salary according to the number of teaching credits and salary allowances for permanent lecturers from the North Sumatra Al-Ittihadiyah educational foundation. The implications of this study show the importance of the role of leaders in stimulating the level of activeness of private university lecturers, so it is recommended for future researchers to analyze this variable in public universities, which have a higher level of lecturer welfare.Organizational Culture, Transformational Leadership, Lecturer Participation

ICTs in Knowledge Sharing and Organization Culture

This study analyzes the knowledge value chain of a center for continuing education that offers skill development programs for adult learners. It analyzes how the center can improve efficiency and capacity by effective knowledge sharing (KS) that requires both information and communication technologies (ICT) and the conducive organizational cultures. The case study methodology was used to study the factors that influence KS in an academic environment. KS depends on the type of knowledge, motivation, and opportunity to share. The results show that both knowledge management systems and a conducive organizational culture are needed to implement an effective KS strategy. Thus, the study focuses on the emergent approach, i.e., focusing on interpersonal dynamics and the nature of their daily tasks, and engineering or management approach, i.e., focusing on the infrastructure of KS. This study shows how systematic and organized KS can help an organization offer continuing education services effectively and improve performance in the competitive marketplace.
