Artistic Space Description in Novelistic Fairy Tales

The article deals with the artistic space issues in Azerbaijani folk tales, especially in novellistic tales. It is noted that space is an element that forms the poetic system of fairy tales. The article searches the form and content of the novelistic tales based on the features of artistic space due to the types of fairy tales. As a rule, the space where the hero was born, grew up is presented as his native space in fairy tales, the space that opposes this space and threatens him with war is introduced as a foreign space. The analysis of artistic space shows that unlike magic and religious tales, novelistic tales are more accurate reflection of reality, as they are composed of elements of real space. It is led to an exaggeration of the concept of social justice, vital issues, loyalty and betrayal, topics related to personal relationships such as trust and friendship, social justice in the fairy tales. The analysis of space shows that the thinking that shapes magic and religious tales with novelistic tales differs from one another. As society develops, people’s thinking and outlook on life have also changed and these changes impacts various groups of fairy tales differently. In novellistic tales, the depiction of artistic space is based on the promotion of intellect, the concept of social justice and personal relationships.

Loyalty and good faith in the implementation of public policies: the brazilian case

This paper explores the concepts of loyalty and good faith in the context of public policy implementation, focusing on the Brazilian scenario. Loyalty and good faith are crucial elements in fostering effective governance and ensuring the success of public policies. However, in the Brazilian context, various challenges such as corruption, political instability, and institutional weaknesses often hinder the faithful implementation of policies. Drawing on theoretical frameworks and empirical evidence, this paper discusses the importance of loyalty and good faith in policy implementation, analyzes the factors influencing their realization in Brazil, and suggests strategies to enhance their practice.

Institutional affiliation and Job loyalty and their relationship to performance

The study aimed to identify the concepts of Institutional Affiliation and Job Loyalty, and their role in achieving performance. The study used the analytical method, which depends on deconstructing the basic elements of the research topics, and then studying them in an in-depth manner, and then deriving provisions or rules. Through it, generalizations will made that help solve problems. The study concluded that institutional affiliation is an internal behavior among individuals that pushes them towards greater performance, in order to achieve the organization’s goals and maintain its permanence, continuity and distinction. The degree of institutional affiliation is not fixed, and its intensity increases or decreases according to the reciprocal relationship between individual and organization that belongs to him. The results also indicated that the degree of Job Loyalty is not fixed. The intensity increases or decreases according to what the organization provides to individual in terms of fulfilling his ambitions and hopes, and according to the benefit obtained from belonging to the organization, as the percentage of benefit obtained increases, and the individual’s loyalty to the organization linked to the strength of the relationship between individual and those responsible for it. The results also showed that achieving the required performance requires employees to exert their utmost efforts to reach an outstanding level of performance, and that achieving outstanding performance requires achieving job satisfaction, and the availability of institutional affiliation and loyalty. The study came out with several recommendations.

Do No Harm in Global Health Engagement.

This manuscript examines the principle of "Do No Harm" in DoD Global Health Engagement (GHE) efforts. It highlights the potential positive and negative consequences of health investments and explores how unintentional harm is addressed in a global health context. The manuscript also discusses the involvement of the U.S. military in global health and the concept of dual loyalty faced by military GHE practitioners. The goal is to understand the challenges of doing no harm and identify methods to mitigate or avoid unintended negative consequences in DoD GHE activities.

A Systematic Review of the Research Models of Brands Subject Doctoral Theses Published in 2020-2023 at the YÖK National Thesis Center

The aim of this study is to examine the research models of doctoral theses published on brands subject in 2020-2023. For this aim, the content analysis of the doctoral theses retrieved from the database of the YÖK National Thesis Centre was carried out using PRISMA 2009 Flow Diagram. Secondary data sources obtained from 85 doctoral theses evaluated were analyzed using VOSviewer and UCINET programs. As a result of the analyses, a total of 40 brand concepts were evaluated in the research models of doctoral theses published on brand concepts. It can be seen that some similar brand concepts have been evaluated in the research models of relevant theses in all years. Brand loyalty, brand equity, brand image, brand quality, brand trust, brand satisfaction, brand experience, brand awareness, brand attitude and brand love are the common motor structures with high link strength that are evaluated in most of the dissertations. However, the concepts of brand loyalty, brand trust, brand quality, brand equity and brand image, which have a higher number of direct ties and eigenvector values, are the leading actors. The results of the study are discussed and implications are provided.

Impact of touristic sustainability on satisfaction with touristic services in a world heritage city. The case of the equestrian show in Córdoba (Spain)

PurposeThe main objective of this research is to analyze satisfaction with tourist services linked to the concept of sustainability in the context of a visit to the so-called equestrian show. The equestrian show adds values from the cultures that passed through the city. Specifically, the study focuses on tourist loyalty based on satisfaction with tourist services, satisfaction with the equestrian show and its overall quality. The fieldwork has been conducted in Córdoba, Spain. There are few studies on the relationship between tourist services linked to the concepts of sustainability and loyalty from the perspective of equestrian show management, making this a novel contribution to research.Design/methodology/approachThe methodology used is based on a partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) approach.FindingsTo achieve the proposed objective, a structured questionnaire was used, and the results obtained confirm that satisfaction with tourist services linked to the concept of sustainability and the assessment of quality positively influence tourist loyalty. Consequently, they recommend returning to the destination and repeating the visit.Originality/valueHeritage in Córdoba, Spain, is internationally recognized. Its uniqueness, with four world inscriptions along with the cultures that inhabited it, left a material heritage legacy in the city. Over time, this legacy has made it a magnet for visitors, making it essential to delve into its management and how concepts such as satisfaction with tourist services, combined with sustainability, impact the improvement of the visit.

Engagement and loyalty in mobile applications for restaurant home deliveries

This study examines user engagement and loyalty in mobile applications for restaurant home deliveries during the COVID-19 pandemic. It explores the concepts of loyalty, engagement, and interactivity, with convenience and safety as drivers for continued use.Using Partial Least Squares Structural Equations Modelling (PLS-SEM), data from 349 users of restaurant ordering apps in Colombia was analysed. Results indicate that engagement, convenience, and safety positively influence loyalty. Interactivity indirectly affects loyalty through engagement.This research sheds light on the factors impacting engagement and loyalty, specifically during the pandemic. It addresses underexplored marketing relationships and guides companies operating such apps to understand key drivers of user loyalty.

The Influence of Motivation, Perceived Discrimination, Acculturation Strategies, and Adaptation on Destination Loyalty

Destination loyalty in education tourism can be characterized by tourists’ intention to revisit and their recommendations of the place to others, serving as primary indicators. However, even though there is growing interest among academia and industry players in the concept of destination loyalty, our comprehension of the psychological factors influencing destination loyalty intention remains inadequate. Existing literature has not yet addressed the topic of education tourism in Norway. Therefore, this research explores the attributes of destination loyalty and the influence of perceived discrimination, acculturation strategies, psychological and sociocultural adaptation in elucidating international students' intention to exhibit loyalty in Norway. The theoretical framework draws on motivation theory (Crompton, 1979), acculturation theory (Berry, 1990; Berry, 1997), adaptation (Searle & Ward, 1990), and loyalty theory (Backman & Crompton, 1991), which have been adapted to include perceived discrimination as an additional exploratory variable. This study extends previous research on destination loyalty by investigating the impact of acculturation strategies on enhancing the relationship between travel-related attributes and loyalty. The study utilizes partial least squares (PLS) to examine the links between the variables. Based on a questionnaire survey of international students in Norway, the findings indicate that psychological adaptation and acculturation strategies have a positive impact on loyalty. The coefficient of determination (R2) reveals that the final structural model can account for 34% of the variance in international students’ loyalty behavior. These results highlight the importance for stakeholders in the education tourism industry to recognize the influence of acculturation strategies and psychological adaptation on travel loyalty. Understanding these factors can contribute to enhancing destination competitiveness in education tourism and ensuring its long-term sustainability. The study concludes by acknowledging its limitations and encouraging further research in this area.

Çin Halk Cumhuriyeti’nin Kuruluşundan Tiananmen Olaylarına Kadar Uygur Özerk Bölgesi (Doğu Türkistan) (1949-1989)

The people of Uyghur Autonomous Region (East Turkestan), an ancient Turkish homeland, is presently grappling with survival challenges imposed by the Chinese Communist Party. The region was predominantly inhabited by Turks during the reigns of the Huns, Göktürks, Uyghur Khaganate, Karakhanid State, Mongol Empire, Chagatai Khanate, and Saidiya Khanate. Nevertheless, its current demographic composition reveals a significant Chinese population. Following the occupation of the area by Chinese General Zhou Zho-tang in 1879, the area underwent the formation of two sovereign Turkish states in 1933 and 1944, respectively. Following their conquest of the entirety of China in 1949, the Communist forces extended their occupation to East Turkestan as well. East Turkestan’s administration was seized by the Communist Party in the same year that Chinese General Tao and the head of the regional government, Burhan Shahidi, both surrendered. A movement of liquidation emerged in the early years, targeting individuals who possessed the capacity to challenge the established system. Subsequently, measures were implemented to eradicate the Communist ideology entirely. Priority was given, among the various initiatives of the Communist Party, to instill in the local populace the concept of communist loyalty. Furthermore, due to its perception of the regional religious and national distinctions as a threat, it initiated a military conflict with the aim of eradicating them. The Communist regime methodically executed its settlement policy in an effort to alter the demographic composition of the region by redistributing Chinese immigrants there. Consequently, the present percentage of the populace comprising individuals of Chinese ancestry surpasses fifty percent. The policies of the Chinese Communist Party in Uyghur Autonomous Region, including exploitation, discrimination, and demographic shifts, are the focus of this study. Despite the research’s scope being limited to the period preceding the Tiananmen events of 1989, which signified the start of a new era in China, it is significant that the policies implemented by the present Chinese Communist Party have advanced to the point of genocide.

The aim of this paper is to examine the loyalty of the administrative elite in the context of the Czechoslovak post-war policy of linking basic civil rights to ethnicity. This policy had a significant impact on the ethnic and social structure of the population living in southern Slovakia, including Košice. It also affected the composition of the city‘s political elite. The previous political elite was excluded from further participation in political power. The research therefore focuses on the career trajectories of the administrative elite during the period under study. I consider chosen officials to be the key figures of this transitional period. In the first months after the liberation of the city, they ran the city, ensured the basic functioning of the office, and dealt with the personnel, economic, financial and supply issues. I examine the career trajectories of selected officials within the concept of loyalty, which I find to be a useful analytical tool for research on the stability and transformation of political systems.

The influence of the Big Five, WOM communication and satisfaction on consumer loyalty in the Republic of Serbia

The concept of consumer loyalty plays an important role in business existence in the current competitive business environment. Consumer loyalty is researched in different ways by considering the characteristics of the consumer’s personality, mutual communication between consumers, and their satisfaction with the company, products/services and numerous other determinants. Consumer personality is a potential marketing strategy for increasing loyalty towards a company, product and/or service, because many customers choose products that match their personality. The manner of communicating and conveying the experience of the product also depends on the consumer’s personality traits, and this further affects a consumer’s loyalty. Also, consumer satisfaction is another concept of qualitative and quantitative assessment of consumers after purchase, and it is a predictor of consumer loyalty and a free source of promotion for the company. The authors’ goal is to examine the relationship between the concept of consumer personality, word of mouth (WOM) communication, consumer satisfaction, and loyalty on the mobile phone market in the Republic of Serbia, and then to make relevant conclusions about the mutual influence of the given factors in relation to the conducted empirical analysis. The data was obtained with the help of an online survey questionnaire, while the results were processed in statistical software packages for social sciences SPSS and AMOS. The research results show that all the researched variables included in the paper (Big Five, WOM communication, satisfaction) significantly influence consumer loyalty on the aforementioned market in the Republic of Serbia. The research explicitly builds on and contributes to previous literature on brand management, as it analyzes important predictors of consumer loyalty within a specific research area. Future studies could strengthen the existing literature by analyzing consumer loyalty towards a specific brand.

Retailers view on customer loyalty – a social resource theory perspective

ABSTRACT This study elaborates on the concept of loyalty. Strategic work to increase loyalty such as loyalty programs is increasingly being questioned. Using a relational perspective, viewing loyalty as an ongoing process of social exchanges, the paradoxical relationship between loyalty strategies and customer loyalty is underlined. The empirical data comprised qualitative interviews with eight key managers in Swedish retail companies. The result shows that loyalty programs foster rational shopping behaviours, misinterpreted by the retailers as loyalty. Thus, the concrete nature of loyalty programs make the customers less loyal only returning the concrete resources given. Particular resources will not be given by customers if none are offered by retailers. From the perspective of social exchanges, a shift from tangible rewards to forming meaningful emotional bonds is needed in order to achieve customer loyalty.

THE ETHICAL DILEMMA OF BIG TECH COMPANIES: A CASE STUDY OF MULTIPLE JOB HOLDINGS AND MOONLIGHTING IN INDIAN I.T. COMPANIES

Post Covid-19 situation profoundly impacted how people were engaged with their organization and its quality of work. It impacted the working mode, viz., work from home, flexible hours, and hybrid working for skilled workers and executives. More tech workers in India have started moonlighting despite the disapproval of their employers and managers. The concept of employee loyalty, value system and ethics has undergone changes and they have reassured themselves with the western model of employment where such moonlighting became an acceptable industry norm. An ethical dilemma arises in the mind of the employers when their full-time professionals and employees started moonlighting in the same industry and at the cost of the companies resources and time. It is considered unethical and a case of loss of confidence which may attract penal action. The present study provides a valuable understanding about the concept of moonlighting and multiple job-holding and its changing dimensions in the Indian IT industry.

Customer Satisfaction and Brand Loyalty: Pizza Hut Case Study

Customers Satisfaction and brand loyalty are crucial components of corporate success that are sometimes misunderstood but crucial in the marketing industry. Businesses face a real risk of losing market share to more nimble and efficient rivals in today's fiercely competitive business environment, where client loyalty can fluctuate due to various circumstances. To counter this trend, it is imperative for organizations to prioritize not only customer satisfaction but also the cultivation of a substantial level of brand loyalty. Using Pizza Hut Southeast London as a case study, this research examines the critical connection between consumer happiness and brand loyalty within the fast-food industry in the United Kingdom. This strategic focus is essential to long-term sustainability and profitability, as highlighted by Chen and Popovich in 2003. The concepts of customer satisfaction and brand loyalty gained prominence in the 1990s, catalyzed by intense rivalry among global brands. Subsequently, numerous researchers and market studies have sought the elusive formula and strategies that businesses should adopt to ensure both customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. This study aspires to contribute to the collective knowledge in this field by critically analyzing and uncovering the intricate relationship between customer satisfaction and brand loyalty within selected Pizza Hut outlets in Southeast London, UK.

The Concept of Loyalty in Legal Regulation in the Republic of Latvia: Current Situation and Challenges

This publication analyses the concept of loyalty in legal regulation of the Republic of Latvia. The requirement for loyalty is included in several regulatory acts that determine professional standards and requirements for admission to public service or employment. The aim of the paper is to analyse the concept of loyalty in legal regulation and the practice of its application, to identify possible problems, and to propose solutions. The authors have conducted a study using the methods of interpreting the rules of law adopted in legal science. Grammatical, historical, comparative, teleological method and general research methods were used, such as comparison and summarization, causal relationship detection, analysis, and synthesis. Within the framework of the paper, several conclusions are made and proposals are offered for strengthening the requirement of loyalty to the Latvian state in the regulatory framework.

Consumer loyalty is a key factor determining the ability of a brand to bring stable and long-term income to its owner. For this reason, firms pay great attention to the formation of customer loyalty. However, despite the widespread use of the term "loyalty" in the scientific and applied literature on marketing, there is no single definition of this term. At the same time, it is obvious that effective loyalty management is possible only if the firm clearly understands the essence of this phenomenon. Thus, it is of great importance to study existing approaches to understanding the nature of customer loyalty. The purpose of this work is to generalize the analysis of literary sources of foreign and domestic authors, revealing the essence of the concept of "consumer loyalty", its formation and significance in the implementation of the loyalty program. To achieve this goal, we conducted a review of the literature on the topic of consumer loyalty. The database of sources was formed from articles presented in the scientometric database Scopus (Scopus.com), as well as from articles in journals included in the core of the RSCI (the search was conducted on the database Elibrary.ru). In addition, additional articles from other Russian-language journals were included, corresponding to the subject. We used the method of unsystematic (descriptive) literature review. As part of the research, we used a general scientific method of analysis and synthesis. Tabular and graphical methods were used to represent and structure information. Our research of sources allowed us to distinguish the concepts of satisfaction, loyalty and engagement, as well as formulate the author's definition of loyalty, which can further serve as a theoretical basis for the development of loyalty management tools.

Chung 忠 always has an object it is directed towards. At the same time, we also often discuss the loyal character of an individual (the subject) regardless of the object to which their loyalty is directed. This duality is an essential feature of chung. When explaining, criticising, and defending the concept of chung, most researchers focus on one of these two aspects: the subject or object side of the duality. This paper compares the concept of chung in Confucianism to the concept of loyalty in modern ethics, and to the concept of Chungseong 忠誠 in the modern Korean language using this subjective-objective framework. It shows that a similar dilemma to the “loyal Nazis dilemma” caused by the objectivity of loyalty also exists in the Confucian notion of chung (the dilemma of Bo Yi and Shu Qi) and reveals the unique nature of the concept by examining various solutions to the dilemma suggested by several traditional Confucian scholars.

Increasing Customer Loyalty at McDonald's Kemang Through Customer Satisfaction

Customer satisfaction is the core concept of loyalty, meaning that without satisfaction, there will be no loyalty, so it can be said that customer satisfaction is a factor in shaping loyalty. The purpose of this study is to analyze how McDonald's Kemang can win more loyal customers by increasing customer satisfaction focusing on product quality and brand image. 184 customers of McDonald's Kemang are the population of this study. The sampling method uses a nonprobability sampling technique with a purposive sampling approach, because the sample of this study only includes McDonald's Kemang customers. The data collection technique in this study involved distributing questionnaires to respondents. The research findings show that the value of each variable has a positive and significant impact, both directly and indirectly.

The Contextual Origin of Ibn Taymiyyah's Thought on Jihad

Since the 1980s until today, Aḥmad ibn Taimiyyah (d. 1328) has been one of the most quoted medieval scholars by jihadists. From ‘Abd al-Salām Faraj (d. 1981) to Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaeda. Ibn Taimiyyah is frequently cited to justify their doctrine. Ibn Taimiyyah’s fatwa is used to declare a legitimate leader of a country an apostate for not fully implementing the shari’ah and obligating every Muslim to jihād against him, classifying war zones (dār al-ḥarb) and requiring emigration (hijrah) from them, and permitting suicide bombings in the name of jihād. This article examines jihadists’ understanding of jihād as well as Ibn Taimiyyah’s jihād fatwas, specifically the three anti-Mongol fatwas and the Mardin fatwa, which are frequently cited by jihadists. This article addresses two major issues: first, it discusses Ibn Taimiyyah’s three anti-Mongol fatwas, as well as their citation and interpretation in jihadist fatwas; second, it examines the Mardin fatwa, which is always used as justification for jihad against the legitimate government. The article finds that some of the radicalists’ jihād doctrines quote directly from Ibn Taimiyyah’s jihād fatwas, particularly the three anti-Mongol fatwas and the Mardin fatwa, but most of the fatwas cannot be associated with Ibn Taimiyyah when approached holistically. The article also notes that Ibn Taimiyyah’s jihād doctrine is only partially quoted and ignores the majority of fatwas that are closely related to the theme of jihād, such as the concepts of hijrah and critical loyalty to the government. This article also identifies Ibn Taimiyyah’s jihād fatwas as being more frequently cited to legalize the interests of jihadist groups in justifying their acts of terror while ignoring the historical and political contexts that surround them.

Value, satisfaction and loyalty in the retail industry

Although customer loyalty has been widely investigated, few studies address the role of customer value and customer satisfaction. Besides, there is still a need for a sound theoretical framework to explain and promote business-customer relationships. This paper aims to contribute to understanding the origin and effect of the concept of loyalty in commercial relationships in the retail industry. To do so, we review and discuss the triggers of loyalty behavior in society. There is a section to explain the elements that produce loyalty behavior in the buyer and its logical sequence. Besides, we address the concepts of value and consumer satisfaction and their association with the customer's post-purchase behavior. This analysis enables a more complete overview of the customer’s behavior and allows to take well-informed actions within the retail market. Besides, it opens the door to future research related to buyer behavior in different environments, such as the digital environment.
