Exploring the Interaction and Impact of Green Building Design on People and Space

Abstract: With the progress and development of society, people's living standards improve at the same time, environmental pollution and resource shortages environmental problems also come. Construction engineering is one of the largest energy-consuming industries in China, and the implementation of a sustainable development strategy has become a top priority. Therefore, the state put forward the concept of greening and sustainable development, and green building has become a mainstream design concept. The purpose of this paper is to elaborate on the principles and design points of green building design and to study and discuss the application cases of green building design. Analyze the interaction and impact of green building design on people and space by analyzing the effects and impacts of the implementation of different designs in green building design cases, including focusing on siting design, ventilation design, energy efficiency design, recyclable design, plant design, and lighting design. Summarise the importance of applying green building design concepts and effective designs that have a positive impact on people. The results of the study can provide practical suggestions on improving the sustainability and eco-friendliness of green buildings for green building design stakeholders, such as architects, policymakers, and related stakeholders, and this study has certain reference values and significance.

Exploring the Development of Photoresists in Lacquer under the Background of Global Carbon Neutrality: A Mini Review

With the establishment of a global carbon-neutral target, green and sustainable design concepts, materials, and processes have become the key to scientific and technological innovation, which highlights the development and utilization of environmentally-friendly materials and renewable energy sources. At present, almost all the raw materials in commercial photoresist are from oil resources. In order to implement the policy of “green chemistry”, there is an urgent need to take the place of petroleum with renewable, biodegradable, and green biomass resources in photoresist production. As a kind of green and natural high polymer material from China, lacquer has excellent physical and chemical properties and has great application potential in the field of electronics. In this paper, the potential connections between photoresist and lacquer, especially in the green development of photoresist, are sorted out. The introduction of lacquer and its derivatives may help to improve the environmentally-friendly production of photoresist and its performance. Therefore, in the context of global carbon neutrality, the study of photoresists in the “lacquer” is of great significance in promoting the application of eco-friendly materials in the field of microelectronics.

This paper delves into the manifold benefits of vertical green landscapes, as demonstrated by recent research, focusing on their positive reception among the public and their capacity to offer novel avenues for developing green infrastructure. Through an in-depth analysis of relevant literature and case studies, this paper evaluates the role of vertical green landscapes as an effective reducer of pollution in high-density cities. It discusses their capacity to mitigate air and noise pollution, improve microclimates, and contribute to urban aesthetics. Additionally, it addresses the social and psychological advantages of integrating these green systems into urban design, emphasizing their potential to enhance the well-being and livability of city dwellers. By combining quantitative and qualitative methods, the study aims to provide a holistic understanding of the benefits and challenges associated with these innovative urban green solutions. In conclusion, this paper underscores the pivotal role of vertical green landscape facades as a sustainable and aesthetically pleasing means of combatting the environmental and social challenges of high-density urbanization. By presenting empirical evidence of their efficacy and positive reception, it advocates for their increased integration into urban planning and design strategies as a pragmatic response to the complex issues faced by contemporary cities.

Title: The Design of Buildings and Restaurant Facilities that are Family Friendly and Relevant to the Urban Culture of Denpasar The urban community's demand to bring families to visit restaurants is significantly high. The on-site phenomenon indicates that the building designs of several restaurants in Denpasar have not maximally met the needs of the urban community, especially for families. Therefore, research is required to analyze restaurants' facilities and building designs to align with the needs of families and urban culture in Denpasar. The method employed is a qualitative descriptive method. The research results showcase the case study objects of several favorite restaurants in Denpasar, indicating that some already meet the needs of the urban community but need to be adjusted to align with current needs. The findings show that some restaurants are not in line with urban culture due to insufficient attention to the needs of the urban community. Issues related to spatial completeness and arrangement, availability of specific facilities, furniture design, and cleanliness of facilities contribute to this mismatch. The solution is to consider standard design, space, and security to meet needs, provide specific facilities, and implement the concept of green design. The contribution provided is in the form of input to ensure that restaurants are designed to adapt to the evolving needs of the urban community.

AHP and GCA Combined Approach to Green Design Evaluation of Kindergarten Furniture

Kindergarten furniture is an important part of children’s furniture. However, in sharp contrast with the high level of concern about the color, shape, structure, and modularity of kindergarten furniture, the research on green design and green evaluation of kindergarten furniture has not been given due attention. Through understanding the concept and principles of green design, this paper presents an objective approach to evaluate the green design of kindergarten furniture. An evaluation method based on the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) integrating gray correlation analysis (GCA) for kindergarten furniture green design was proposed. By using the AHP to determine the green design elements of kindergarten furniture, five standard layer indicators were obtained in aspects of environmental friendliness of the materials, color, technological structure, size, and interestingness, as well as 11 criterion layer indicators: environmental friendliness of structural materials, environmental friendliness of adhesives, environmental friendliness of paint, stimulate creativity or enhance concentration, avoid the feelings of unsteadiness, structural stability, rounding the edges, comfortable to use, size adjustable, interesting decorative patterns, and modular. Afterward, GCA was used to evaluate the green design of five kindergarten furniture schemes and a comprehensive evaluation score was obtained. Taking the design scheme represented by five desk and chair sets in kindergarten as an example, the effectiveness of this method was verified, and the advantages and disadvantages of the five desk and chair sets were analyzed and compared. The results showed that the third desk and chair sets at kindergarten made of New Zealand pine ranks first in the comprehensive green evaluation indicators, followed by the fourth sets made of rubber and wood. After the green design evaluation, we studied the carbon footprint of five furniture products and analyzed their carbon emissions at the production stage, the packaging stage, the transportation stage, and the storage stage. The results show that the amount of carbon emission is generally consistent with the evaluation results of the green scheme, which verifies the effectiveness of the green design evaluation method. This study provides an effective and feasible reference for kindergarten furniture designers. Hence, a greener kindergarten furniture design is expected to improve the learning and living environment for kindergarten-age children.

Unique Packaging Elements Promote Sustainable Green Packaging Design Framework

In order to adapt to the development and constant changes of society, it is necessary to produce environmentally conscious product packaging that is meaningful to the environment and society. This study is about unique packaging elements promoting sustainable green packaging design framework. This paper attempts to document unique product packaging elements to promote product packaging reuse. This paper systematically presents the literature review process of synthesizing selected literature on packaging materials, packaging shapes and packaging formats, and the paper describes the results of the literature survey on sustainable materials, unique shapes and creative connotations. The research results show that the packaging design form should be decorated with unique sustainable material elements and harmonious patterns, forming a green packaging design and promoting the reuse of product packaging. Therefore, innovative green packaging design can attract consumers and promote sustainable development. This study helps to present a framework for sustainable green packaging design. This study is of great significance for sustainable packaging using green design concepts. Future research is recommended to develop potential green product packaging, attract consumers' attention and promote the development of sustainable product packaging.

Environmental protection clothing design and materials based on green design concept

This paper explores the integration of eco-friendly materials in clothing design to maintain high-quality and aesthetically pleasing interior clothing design. Texture, as a fundamental element in images, reveals surface characteristics and aids in visual interpretation. The paper introduces an enhanced DCNN-based algorithm for extracting texture features from clothing materials. The algorithm addresses the limitation of moment invariants by combining them with boundary direction characteristics, enhancing its ability to capture shape and spatial distribution information across the entire image. Experimental results validate the algorithm’s effectiveness in image analysis and the extraction of apparel material texture features. Applying environmental design principles to the apparel design domain, this study offers a novel perspective on sustainable clothing design. Overall, the paper emphasizes the importance of using eco-friendly materials in clothing design for a better future.

Application of ecological architecture in architectural design based on information technology integration

Abstract With the development of China’s economy and society, along with the current situation of resource shortage and environmental deterioration, the traditional building production model has long failed to meet the actual requirements of architectural design, which has seriously restricted the development space of the construction industry. Green ecological building is one of the important initiatives to achieve energy saving and emission reduction in the construction industry and is also an important aspect of achieving sustainable social development. This paper proposes the application method of BIM technology in green buildings to solve the problems of green building in traditional design by studying the characteristics of building information model (BIM) technology and related standards, the principles and objectives of green ecological building design and green building design strategies and other related basic theories, combined with the advantages and characteristics of BIM such as visual design, collaborative design, information interoperability and performance simulation, The workflow of BIM technology in green building design is introduced. Based on ecological architecture and supported by the building information model, the application of ecological architecture in high-rise building design based on the integration of information technology is constructed, and the energy-saving efficiency of this method is increased by 16.7% compared with the traditional method. Building ecology design is a new concept based on integrating building information modeling (BIM) technology and green ecological architecture. With the development of building information modeling (BIM) technology, the green ecological building design concept will certainly play a positive role in promoting the diversification of architectural design and the efficient and rapid development of the architectural design. At the same time, to realize the effective saving of land resources, to promote the harmonious development of ecology, environmental protection, and residents, and to apply eco-architecture in the design of high-rise buildings is also an inevitable choice to realize the long-term as well as stable development of cities, and is the future trend of the development of the construction industry.

Green Operation Practice and Organizational Performance in Selected Manufacturing Firms in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria

The goal of this study was to determine how green operation affected organizational performance in a selected Nigerian manufacturing companies in Akwa Ibom State. The study used a descriptive survey approach, and 179 sample were drawn from a total of 295 populations. With the research goal in mind, two hypotheses were developed. A structured questionnaire that was given to the respondent utilizing random sampling procedures served as the primary tool for data collection. Regression analysis was used for the data analysis. The findings indicate that green manufacturing and design have a significant impact on organizational performance in specific Akwa Ibom State manufacturing enterprises. Based on the analysis's findings, it is concluded that green manufacturing and green design are relational variables that can affect organizational performance at Nigerian manufacturing companies. As a result, it is suggested that industrial companies in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, incorporate these green design concepts. Designers may develop strategies that reduce negative environmental effects, conserve resources, advance human health and wellbeing, and help build a more resilient and sustainable future. Additionally, green manufacturing lowered resource use, reduced waste, and increased operational efficiency, all of which resulted in cost savings.

Thermodynamic model of HVAC under building exterior wall

In order to solve the problem under the exterior wall of a building, the author proposes a thermodynamic model for HVAC. Scientific and technological progress has promoted social development, under the new development situation, people have higher requirements for living environment. In architectural design, residential environment design is the key content, especially the design of indoor temperature control system. With the continuous promotion of the national sustainable development strategy, the current architectural design pays more at?tention the green design concept, and the HVAC design is the key design content in realizing the green architectural design. In order to make HVAC design more scientific and reasonable, the author studied the concept that HVAC design needs to follow from the perspective of green buildings, and analyzed the specific ap?plication methods of HVAC design technology. The experimental results indicate that the building envelope parameters have a great impact on the building thermodynamic performance, and the annual cooling and heating loads of buildings should be comprehensively considered, reasonably determine the building envelope parameters. The building load has a low support value, so only low quality energy can meet the building load demand, when selecting the HVAC system, consider the matching of energy quality, try to introduce low grade energy, and improve energy utilization efficiency.
