Improving Students' Vocabulary Mastery Through Digital Storytelling Technique at XI MIA2 Class of SMA Negeri 7 Tual

This research aims to improve the mastery of English vocabulary of grade XI MIA2 students at SMA Negeri 7 Tual through digital storytelling techniques. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) research which is carried out in two cycles to determine the significant improvement in students' vocabulary mastery after the application of this method. Data collection techniques use tests, questionnaires, observations, documentation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively on all research data. The results of the data analysis showed that the proportion of students who met the minimum completeness criteria increased significantly from the first cycle to the second cycle. The positive response of students to the use of Digital Storytelling in English learning also confirms this finding. Thus, it can be concluded that the Digital Storytelling technique is an effective approach in improving vocabulary mastery and providing a more engaging and interactive learning experience for students

The effect of social media usage and the quality of information from the instagram account @DITJENPAJAKRI on the fulfillment of tax information needs of PKN STAN students

This study aims to analyze the influence of Instagram social media usage and the information quality of the @ditjenpajakri account on fulfilling the tax information needs of PKN STAN students. Using a quantitative method with a survey approach, data were collected from 97 active PKN STAN students through a questionnaire. The analysis results indicate that social media usage and the information quality of @ditjenpajakri significantly influence the fulfillment of PKN STAN students' tax information needs, with an F-test value of 0.0000. The four social media indicators—context, communication, collaboration, and connection—were well-rated by respondents, who agreed that these factors effectively meet their information needs. Most respondents agree that the content uploaded by @ditjenpajakri meets the criteria for high-quality information, including accuracy, timeliness, relevance, and completeness. It is expected that the Directorate General of Taxes will maintain and improve the quality of content on Instagram, particularly in terms of accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of information.

Complete synchronization of discrete‐time fractional‐order Cohen–Grossberg neural networks with time delays via adaptive nonlinear controller

In this paper, we dedicate to investigate complete synchronization of discrete‐time fractional‐order Cohen–Grossberg neural networks (DFCGNNs) with time delays. In order to resolve the problem, we have made the following efforts. First, we establish a fractional‐order convergence principle by employing nabla Laplace transform and analysis techniques. Next, an adaptive nonlinear controller is designed, and then several complete synchronization criteria of DFCGNNs are obtained with the help of inequality techniques and convergence principle we newly establish. Finally, a numerical example is presented to show the validity of theorical results we derive.

Improvements in the randomness and security of digital currency using the photon sponge hash function through Maiorana–McFarland S-box replacement

Abstract There is a demand for a digital currency that facilitates remote trading over the Internet and strives to reduce external control, ensuring that transactions are conducted only between authorized persons or parties involved in the transfer. The financial sector has been significantly impacted by cryptocurrency, or digital currency, which brings new potential and challenges. The concept of digital currency is thoroughly examined, as are its complicated implications on various aspects of the economy. Trading digital currencies via the Internet may be vulnerable to theft and forgery due to the development of hacker programs. Therefore, we proposed to design a new digital currency and then built a 16 × 16 structure and filled the matrix with random numbers within GF(251). We used the random algorithm (Chun–Hui He’s iteration), then generated four directions, and used polynomial equations for the purpose of distributing powers between the parties in our future complete system. The original matrix was encoded with the photon sponge hash function after updating the S box by integrating the algorithms (Chun–Hui He’s iteration, Mariorana–McFarland method), and the results were good security measures (correlation coefficient, bijective property, balanced criteria, completeness criteria, and strict avalanche criteria) as well as the encryption and decryption time became faster (0.0005202). The major objective is to design a new digital currency system toward achieving security, scalability, and comprehensive adoption, looking into how it might improve security, promote financial inclusion, and change the present payment systems.

Some properties of precompletely and positively numbered sets

In this paper, we prove a joint generalization of Arslanov's completeness criterion and Visser's ADN theorem for precomplete numberings which, for the Gödel numbering x↦Wx, has been proved by Terwijn (2018). The question of whether this joint generalization takes place in each precomplete numbering has been raised in his joint paper with Barendregt in 2019. Then we consider the properties of completeness and precompleteness of numberings in the context of the positivity property. We show that no completion of a positive numbering is a minimal cover of that numbering, and that the Turing completeness of any set A is equivalent to the existence of a positive precomplete A-computable numbering of any infinite family with positive A-computable numbering. In addition, we prove that each Σn0-computable numbering (n⩾2) of a Σn0-computable non-principal family has a Σn0-computable minimal cover ν such that for every computable function f there exists an integer n with ν(f(n))=ν(n).

Local minima in Newton's aerodynamic problem and inequalities between norms of partial derivatives

The problem considered first by Newton (1687) [1] consists in finding a surface of the minimal frontal resistance in a parallel flow of non-interacting point particles. The standard formulation assumes that the surface is convex with a given convex base Ω and a bounded altitude. Newton found the solution for surfaces of revolution. Without this assumption the problem is still unsolved, although many important results have been obtained in the last decades. We consider the problem to characterize the domains Ω for which the flat surface gives a local minimum. We show that this problem can be reduced to an inequality between L2-norms of partial derivatives for bivariate concave functions on a convex domain that vanish on the boundary. Can the ratio between those norms be arbitrarily large? The answer depends on the geometry of the domain. A complete criterion is derived, which also solves the local minimality problem.

A Quiziz Game-Based Learning Implementation in Improving Learner’s Critical Thinking Skills

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of game-based learning through Quizizz in improving the learning outcomes of seventh-grade social studies students at SMP Negeri 7 Semarang. The research employed a pre-experimental design, specifically the one-group pre-test-post-test method. Data sources included teachers, students, the learning process, relevant documents, and validators. Data were collected through observations, document analysis, and questionnaires. The data analysis utilized the N-Gain test and the T-Test, with the predetermined minimum completeness criteria. The findings demonstrate that game-based learning through Quizizz is highly feasible and effective. The validation data indicate that Quizizz as a tool for improving critical thinking skills has a high level of validity, with average scores of 95.7% from media experts, 100% from material experts, and 100% from experts in critical thinking. The N-Gain analysis indicated a 29% improvement in the first cycle, categorized as Less Effective, and an 82% improvement in the second cycle, categorized as Quite Effective. In addition, the significance value of 0.00 indicates a statistically significant difference between the two groups. Keywords: Game-Based Learning, Quizizz, Critical thinking

Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas VII pada Materi Kemampuan dan Keterbatasanku Melalui PBL di SMP Negeri 02 Ketungau Hilir Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025

The provision of high-quality education is significantly influenced by key factors, specifically educators and students. Competent educators are likely to cultivate quality individuals, adhering to the philosophy that "people can only share and give to others what they possess." In the teaching and learning process, one of the key elements that facilitates successful learning is the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, which significantly enhances student independence, interest, and motivation in their educational pursuits. According to observations conducted by researchers at SMP Negeri 02 Ketungau Hilir, particularly in class VII, it has been determined that in Catholic Religious Education, teachers predominantly employ teacher-centered learning methods and have yet to implement the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. This approach has adversely impacted student learning outcomes, resulting in the failure to meet minimum completion criteria. Based on the findings from data analysis and discussions in this study, it can be concluded that the results regarding the enhancement of learning outcomes indicate a sustained improvement in Cycle II, where student performance rose by 82% from Cycle I to 100%. The average student score increased from 79.06 in Cycle I to 84.37 in Cycle II.

Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Melalui Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada Materi Gereja sebagai Tanda dan Sarana Keselamatan

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in Catholic Religious Education, especially in the material "The Church as a Sign and Means of Salvation". Using a classroom action research approach, this study was conducted in two cycles with 18 grade VIII students at SMP NEGERI 1 PABULUAN during the 2024/2025 school year. Data is collected through observation, tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of PBL increased student engagement, with 70% of students actively participating in discussions and 65% showing improved critical thinking skills. The average test score increased from 65 in the initial condition to 72.5 in the first cycle, with 65% of students achieving the minimum completeness criteria. Character development in terms of Caring, Confident, and Professional (P3) also shows a positive trend. Although not all success indicators were achieved in the first cycle, significant improvements were observed in several aspects. The study concluded that PBL has the potential to improve student engagement and critical thinking skills in Catholic Religious Education, with recommendations for further optimization in the second cycle.

A Novel Accurate Peak Extraction Algorithm of Mass Spectrometry Based on Iterative Adaptive Curve Fitting.

In the analysis of mass spectrometry, the peak identification from the overlapped region is necessary yet difficult. Although various methods have been developed to identify these peaks, especially the continuous wavelet transformation, their applications are still limited and it is hard to deal with the complex overlapped peaks. In this study, a novel peak extraction algorithm of mass spectrometry based on iterative adaptive curve fitting is proposed to address these challenges. It fully utilizes the global optimization characteristics of adaptive curve fitting. Initial peak parameters are obtained using a window searching method, and the residuals between the adaptive fitting peak and the original data indicate the fit's effectiveness and provide information about the peaks in overlap. Using this information, we performed iterative adaptive fitting, continuously updating the overlapped peaks until the residuals met the completion criteria. All of the peaks within the overlapped region can be successfully extracted by the final fitting. The proposed method is evaluated by the simulated data, the real signal from a public data set, and the spectra of two different mass spectrometry instruments. The results demonstrate that this method can more effectively extract peaks with severe overlap and multiple overlapped peaks, resist noise interference, and offer the potential to process peaks with a high dynamic range. More importantly, the proposed method accurately identifies overlapped peaks in the actual spectra from various mass spectrometry instruments, which helps the qualitative and quantitative analyses to a great extent.

Developing Nearpod-Based Interactive Multimedia on the Topic of Indonesian Cultural Diversity for 4th Grade Elementary School Students

This research aims to create a valid, practical, and effective Nearpod-based interactive learning media to improve learning outcomes of social sciences content on the material "Indonesian Cultural Diversity." This is development research with the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). Based on the results of the expert assessment, the validity of the product obtained a score of 92.18% with the criteria of "very valid" in the aspects of suitability of material and learning objectives, language, media display, excellence, and media use. Material validation scores on aspects of accuracy with learning objectives, students' level of thinking, language, and supporting aspects (videos, images, quizzes) also fall into the "very valid" category with a score of 95%. Based on student responses to the content of the material, ease of use, material display, linguistic aspects, and readability of the material are also in the very valid category, with a percentage of 91%. Based on the N-Gain calculation of students' pretests and post-tests, Nearpod media received a score of 0.74 from 22 large group students, while six small group students obtained a score of 0.8 in the "High" category, as well as the material achievement score from the N-Gain results of 92.3% with the "Very Good" category, which means that 26 out of 28 students get scores above learning objective completeness criteria (KKTP).

EFEKTIVITAS METODE SHOW AND TELL TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERBICARA SERTA SOSIAL EMOSIONALSISWA KELAS IV

Speaking skills are an essential component of school learning that needs to be learned. In the same way, to support learning activities, students need to develop their social emotional skills. But in reality, some students still have a tough time in speaking also not able to manage their social emotional skills. This study aims to see the effectiveness of show and tell method in speaking also social emotiona skillsl. The method used was experiments with a pre-experimental research design, also used one-shot case study, one sample t-test to test the achievability of learning with minimum completion criteria and independent sample t-test to evaluate a different in speaking skills of male and female students. Fourth grade students in Bandung Regency were the subjects of this study. Based on the results of the study, the average score of students' practical speaking skills was 84.1 seen from the assessment indicators. Show and tell method was effectively used with variations in students' performance.

Standards‐based evaluation inform ecological restoration outcomes for a major mining activity in a global biodiversity hotspot

The International Principles and Standars for the Ecological Restoration and Recovery of Mine Sites were used to assess the restoration quality of one of the world's largest mines, located in the world's most biodiverse temperate forest. Quantitative analysis of longitudinal data spanning 35 years scored restoration quality at 2‐stars against a 5‐star forest ecosystem restoration target, with little indication of improvements from adaptive management. Two‐thirds of indicator plants were significantly under‐represented in early‐stage restoration and declined with age. Most plant species were effectively absent, including key structural species. Invasive plants and native legumes were persistently overabundant. Time required for the maturation of tree species will prevent the production of fundamental ecosystem features for well over a century (e.g. hollows and fallen logs), inhibiting functional fauna return (reptiles, bats, and conservation priority cockatoos in particular). The significantly different outcome compared with previous assessments is due to the age of restoration assessed and previous assumptions that early‐stage success indicate that restoration is on the correct, prolonged trajectory toward full ecological restoration. However, previous assessment methods did not consider many key metrics of the standards, nor accurately predict future restoration trajectory. In particluar, initial plant species richness (the only measure of biodiversity in the company's restoration completion criteria) did not reflect future restoration quality. These substandard restoration outcomes may result from removing the deep, multi‐layered bauxitic substrate on which the ecosystem evolved and establishing restoration on shallow topsoil over a more homogenized, impervious substrate. This study demonstrates the value of a robust, adaptable multi‐factor framework and methodology to evaluate restoration outcomes.

The Effect of the Orientation, Analysis, Synthesis, Investigation, Synergy (OASIS) Model on Students' Cognitive Learning Outcomes in Kinetic Gas Theory

Based on the results of a preliminary study at SMA Negeri 1 Cihaurbeuti, it is known that students' cognitive learning outcomes are still classified as poor, one of which is the kinetic gas theory material which still has not reached the minimum completeness criteria, namely 70, because the learning method still uses the lecture method. Apart from that, the lack of innovation in the use of models in physics learning causes physics learning to become less interesting for students so that cognitive learning outcomes need to be improved. One of the solutions taken by researchers to overcome this problem is to apply the Orientation, Analysis, Synthesis, Investigation, Synergy (OASIS) learning model. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of the OASIS learning model on students' cognitive learning outcomes in class XI gas kinetic theory material at SMA Negeri 1 Cihaurbeuti. The research method used is quasi experimental design because this research is educational research with the object used being humans. The research design applied is nonequivalent control group design, where the two classes of research samples will undergo tests before and after being given treatment. The population in this research is all 7 classes of class To measure cognitive learning outcomes (C1, C2, C3), students were tested before treatment (pretest) and after being given treatment (posttest) in the form of a description of 6 questions on the main material of the kinetic theory of gases. The data analysis technique that will be used is the prerequisite test including the normality test and homogeneity test, as well as hypothesis testing using the t test with a significance level showing that (4.06>1.67) which means is accepted and is rejected, so it can be concluded that the OASIS learning model has an effect on students' cognitive learning outcomes in gas kinetic theory material.

Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Teks Laporan Hasil Observasi dan Keterampilan Sosial Emosional dengan Diferensiasi Proses Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 21 Surabaya

This Classroom Action Research (PTK) aims to describe the improvement of learning outcomes and social emotional skills through differentiated learning process applied to the material of observation report text at SMA Negeri 21 Surabaya. This research uses a cycle design consisting of planning, observation, implementation and reflection. Data was collected through student worksheets, observation sheets, and questionnaires. The results showed an increase in learning outcomes by 17% in the first cycle, and 27% percent in the second cycle stage. Student learning outcomes are shown through the percentage of students who reach the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) which was initially 60% in the pre-cycle then increased to 77% in the second cycle, and increased to 100% in the second cycle. The results of students' socio-emotional skills are shown through observation sheets and questionnaires. This observation stage is carried out in two stages and the results are in the form of a comparison of social emotional skills before the differentiated learning approach and afterwards.

Think-Pair-Share (Tps) Learning Model In Improving Student Pediatric Learning Outcomes Mts. Tarbiyatul Islam Sumberkerang Gending Probolinggo

The aim of this research is to improve the PJOK learning outcomes of MTs.Tarbiyatul Islam Sumberkerang Gending Probolinggo students with the Think Pair Share learning model. Data analysis techniques were used to examine all the data that had been collected while the researcher carried out the practice of implementing the TPS model in class X A through PJOK lessons at MTs.Tarbiyatul Islam Sumberkerang Gending Probolinggo. Data comes from observations, interviews, tests and other data. Data analysis was carried out in three stages, namely: data reduction, data display (data presentation), conclusion drawing/verification (drawing conclusions). Using the Think-Pair-Share learning model can improve PJOK learning outcomes for class X A students at MTs.Tarbiyatul Islam Sumberkerang Gending Probolinggo. This can be seen from the increase in learning completeness criteria when before action was taken, it was 0%, after action in cycle I it increased to 45,1% while after action in cycle II it increased again to 87,1%.

PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROJECT BASED LEARNING TERHADAP PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA

This research aims to examine the implementation of the Project Based Learning model in improving students' learning outcomes in Economics for Class X at SMA Negeri 1 Lahusa during the 2023/2024 academic year. The design used is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design. The research instruments employed are student observation sheets and teacher observation sheets. Based on the research findings and discussions, it is shown that: (1) The results from cycles I and II indicate a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, which have reached an optimal level. (2) The Project Based Learning model can enhance students' learning outcomes in Economics, particularly in understanding economic issues related to human needs, scarcity, and economic systems. (3) In cycle I, the students' average score was 72.03, exceeding the minimum completeness criteria set by the education unit, which is 65. The percentage of student learning mastery in cycle I was 65.3%, which is categorized as not meeting the target optimally according to the learning objectives. Therefore, cycle II was conducted, resulting in an average score of 86.15 with a mastery percentage of 92.3%, categorized as very good. These results demonstrate significant improvement. The recommendation from this research is that teachers should consistently encourage and motivate students to be more active and think critically in understanding the concepts being studied, allowing teachers to act as facilitators who guide, summarize the taught material, and evaluate students' learning outcomes.

The Influence of Physical Fitness, Motor Skills, and Learning Motivation on Cartwheel Skills in Physical Education

Background Problems: During the observation, many students were unable to perform cartwheel skills. This research is important so that students can pass the minimum completion criteria so that their physical education learning outcomes are not low. Research Objectives: This study aims to determine the factors that influence the skills of cartwheel. Methods: This type of research is quantitative. The population amounted to 392 students in class XI. The technique used to obtain the sample is simple random sampling using the slovin formula with an error rate of 10%. Based on this, the sample amounted to 80 students. The physical fitness test instrument used the Indonesian Student Fitness Test, the motor ability test instrument used the Barrow Motor Ability Test, the learning motivation data was collected using a questionnaire, and the cartwheel skill data used an observation sheet which contained the criteria for implementing the cartwheel movement. Path analysis was used as a data analysis technique. Finding/Results: The results of the study consist of: 1. Physical fitness and motor skills have a significant influence on cartwheel skills. 2. Learning motivation has no significant effect directly on cartwheel skills. 3. Physical fitness indirectly through learning motivation has no significant effect on cartwheel skills. 4. Motor ability indirectly through learning motivation has no significant effect on cartwheel skills. Conclusion: Physical fitness and motor skills have a significant influence on cartwheel skills. Students need to do it outside of PJOK class hours. For Further Researchers Conduct research on other gymnastic movements.

Doctoral students’ perceptions of the English language proficiency completion criteria in Iran: making a case for English for General Academic Purposes (EGAP)

PurposeThis study set out to investigate PhD students’ perceptions of the criteria for showcasing English proficiency as part of the requirements for completing PhD programs in Iranian universities. The criteria included The Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology (MSRT) test, an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program, achieving the minimum score on the English section of the doctoral entrance exam, and gaining approval from supervisors regarding students’ proficiency.Design/methodology/approachQualitative data were collected by conducting interviews with 19 PhD students as well as a corpus of 325 students’ commentaries posted on an online forum. The data were then analyzed using the constant comparison method (Creswell, 2013).FindingsStudents held mixed feelings in relation to the new completion requirements and in particular, the MSRT test. However, they advocated egalitarian, objective, and need-responsive measures, which were better mirrored in the EAP program.Research limitations/implicationsThe findings were discussed with reference to the predictive validity, authenticity, and construct relevance of the MSRT test and the EAP program. Despite the absence of quantitative data on the comparability of high-stakes tests and the EAP program, the study offers implications for testing agencies, academic institutions, and tertiary students.Originality/valueA multitude of PhD students and candidates are affected by the results of the new policy. Accordingly, gaining a better understanding of students’ perceptions may assist policymakers in reconsidering their policies, if necessary.

Factors Affecting the Learning Outcomes of Economics Students in Grade XI Students at SMA N 2 Sipora

This study is based on the problem of low learning outcomes in economics subjects for students in class XI IPS SMA N 2 Sipora, where the learning outcomes are below the Minimum Completeness Criterion of 75 with a range of 0-100. The purpose of the study was to reveal the influence of learning motivation in school and school environment on the learning outcomes of Economics students in grade XI IPS SMA N 2 Sipora. The method of this research is quantitative because this research is presented with numbers. The research population of all grade XI students, consisting of three classes totaling 57 people. The sampling technique is that all populations are sampled. The sampling technique uses total sampling. The data collection technique is the type of questionnaire and the source of the questionnaire. Student learning outcome data was obtained from SMA N 2 Sipora subject teachers. Meanwhile, the data on motivation and school environment through questionnaires used a likert scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data was analyzed using statistical methods with the help of SPSS Version 17 software. The results of the study showed: (1) Learning motivation had an influence of 78.7% on learning outcomes; (2) The school environment has an influence of 83.4% on learning outcomes; (3) Learning motivation and school environment together have an influence of 36.80% on learning outcomes. This shows that the better the learning motivation and school environment, the better the student's learning outcomes will be.
