Implementasi Program Keputrian dalam Meningkatkan Pemahaman Fiqih Wanita di SMP Uluwwul Himmah

Women's activities are a forum for female students to gain insight into women's problems. This research aims to describe the implementation of the women's program at Uluwwul Himmah Middle School to increase women's understanding of jurisprudence. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research obtained are (1) Planning to support successful learning, which includes: a. Determining goals, b. Determining teaching materials/materials, c. Determine the method, d. Determine time allocation. (2) Implementation of the princess program is the implementation of planning for the girls program, which includes the opening and formation of student competencies. (3) Evaluation of the girls program by observing changes in students' attitudes before and after taking part in the girls program. (4) The results of the women's program include improving students' character education, increasing students' skills and knowledge, and increasing students' insight into women's jurisprudence material. (5) Supporting and inhibiting factors, supporting factors: The school provides adequate facilities and complete support. Inhibiting factors: female students are less enthusiastic about participating in women's activities. The girlhood program carried out at Uluwwul Himmah Middle School must continue to be implemented and developed so that it can produce equitable education and more benefits.

ACCELERATING STUDENT COMPETENCY IN ENGLISH THROUGH EFFECTIVE LEARNING MANAGEMENT: INSIGHTS FROM MAN 2 MATARAM

This study examines the implementation of an English learning management system aimed at accelerating student competency at MAN 2 Mataram. This study analyzes aspects of planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling in the English learning process in an accelerated program tailored for language track students. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis at MAN 2 Mataram, a leading Islamic high school in Mataram. The findings indicate that effective planning and organizing are essential to adapting the curriculum to the needs of diverse students, especially those with high cognitive abilities. The English curriculum is tailored to emphasize essential materials, allowing students to learn in an accelerated manner without being distracted by less relevant content. The implementation is supported by motivated and well-trained teachers, who use a variety of teaching methods to encourage active learning. However, this study identified several challenges, including limited resources and varying levels of student readiness, which were addressed through targeted interventions and continuous teacher supervision. This study concludes that a well-managed learning system, supported by a strong curriculum and effective teaching strategies, can significantly improve students' competency in English, especially in an accelerated learning environment. These findings provide valuable insights for educators and policy makers aiming to improve educational outcomes in similar contexts.

Effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning to Develop Mathematical Competencies at the Postgraduate Level

The objective of the article is to determine the effectiveness of PBL to develop the mathematical competencies of postgraduate students. The methodology used was quantitative with a correlational scope. The study participants were a total of 29 postgraduate students in administration. The instrument used was the questionnaire to obtain information on the effectiveness of PBL. The data were organized with the SPSS 25 statistical program that allowed us to calculate: descriptive statistics such as the mean (M) and standard deviation (SD), the Shapiro-Wilks test and Pearson correlations (r) with a level of significance (p) of 0.05. The main results are: The significant direct associations were greater satisfaction regarding the use of technology (r = 0.789, p = 0.00); with their academic performance (r = 0.854, p = 0.00); promote collaborative work (r = 0.811, p = 0.00); encourage mathematical learning (r= 0.791, p = 0.00); analyze and discuss the contents through problems (r = 0.825, p =0.00).

Преимущества и риски использования ChatGPT в системе высшего образования: теоретический обзор

The author of this review publication has set himself the task of generalizing the ideas of Russian and foreign educational researchers regarding the advantages and disadvantages of using neural networks, namely, the large language model ChatGPT, in the higher education system. 130 of the latest printed and electronic sources in Russian and English on pedagogy and humanitarian disciplines, which date back to 2023 and the first half of 2024, served as the material for the analysis. The scientific novelty of the study lies in identifying the most effective methods for assessing the didactic potential and determining the problems of introducing artificial intelligence technologies in education as exemplified by the use of ChatGPT, including the SWOT analysis method, considered as an effective analytical tool for assessing the strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats of using ChatGPT for educational purposes. As a result, the universal trends and features of the implementation of ChatGPT as an innovative pedagogical technology are revealed. The problems of ChatGPT application in the higher education system are analyzed from the point of view of compliance with ethical standards, prevention of academic dishonesty, formation of cognitive abilities and research competencies of students, deepening of individualization of the educational process, development of critical and creative thinking, increase in the level of information literacy and improvement of universal competencies and professional skills of students. The prospects and risks of ChatGPT application in higher education are described.

The Proposal of the “Classroom-Workplace” Model in University-Enterprise Joint Training in Vietnam

The purpose of this article is to propose a solution for training oriented towards developing professional competence for the students, using the “Classroom - Workplace” model. The theoretical research is based on the theory of teaching for the development of professional competence. It utilizes modern teaching methods to provide a scientific basis for the innovation of teaching methods at the university. Practical research is conducted using a mixed method, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches to assess the current state of training quality through training products and propose a teaching model that combines the university with the business environment. Based on the research results, the article suggests the “Classroom - Workplace” model to implement teaching aimed at developing professional competence for students to meet the current labor market requirements.

Minimum Competency Assessment in Madrasah Ibtidayah

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Minimum Competency Assessment (MCA) at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level. To examine the assessment's preparation, implementation, and understanding among educators and strategies to develop literacy and numeracy within the assessment framework. This study used a qualitative approach, involving 24 subjects selected through stratified sampling based on school status and role, including principals, teachers, supervisors, and students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis followed the stages of Milles and Huberman, including data condensation, data display, and conclusion. The results showed that the preparation of the MCA included preparing facilities, improving internet connectivity, and training for teachers. The MCA was carried out by dividing students into several waves and sessions, including simulations before the assessment began. However, there needs to be more teachers' understanding of the objectives of the MCA, especially in terms of literacy and numeracy, which affects the overall effectiveness of the assessment. Strategies to develop literacy and numeracy, such as integrating technology into teaching practices, are essential to better prepare students for the digital aspects of the evaluation. In addition, the findings show that despite significant efforts made by schools to prepare for MCA, challenges such as inadequate technological resources, limited teacher preparedness, and technical issues during assessments pose substantial barriers. The study suggests that addressing these challenges is critical to improving the effectiveness of MCA and achieving its goals of improving student competency and overall educational quality.

The Implementation of Cambridge Curriculum in English Learning at SMP Lazuardi Tursina

In Indonesian schools, the curriculum is crucial for teaching-learning process. As a means of improving student competencies and educational quality, certain Indonesian schools are starting to implement overseas curricula, such as Cambridge. However Indonesian schools have different approaches to implementing the Cambridge curriculum. The purpose of this research is to investigate how the Cambridge Curriculum is being used at SMP Lazuardi Tursina for English language instruction. A qualitative strategy using a case study design is the methodology used. Data were gathered using curriculum-related document analysis, interviews, and observations. The results show three important phases to the Cambridge curriculum's application in English learning: planning, implementing, and assessing. With a focus on critical thinking and problem-solving techniques, SMP Lazuardi Tursina combines the Independent and Cambridge curricula. Adapting to Project-Based Learning and Learning Experience Design, as well as instructor turnover, are implementation challenges. The learners' progress and performance were assessed using the Check Point and Cambridge Progression Tests. The findings highlight how important the phases of the Cambridge curriculum implementation are to SMP Lazuardi Tursina's successful adoption of the curriculum. To support student learning outcomes and improve educational quality, the Cambridge curriculum demands careful planning, creative teaching strategies, and thorough evaluation.

Assessing and Enhancing Core Competencies in Vocational Education: A Case Study of Senior Students at Guangxi Police College, China

This study evaluates the core competencies of senior students at Guangxi Police College within the framework of higher vocational education and provides guidelines for enhancing these skills. A Likert 5-Point Scale questionnaire based on Lin Chongde’s 2017 framework assessed these competencies among 155 students. A statistical study of the data, concentrating on mean values and standard deviations, indicated variable levels of competence across six dimensions: moral awareness, social responsibility, cultural comprehension, critical thinking, language competency, and aesthetic appreciation. They demonstrated high levels of ethical awareness, social responsibility, cultural understanding, critical thinking, and aesthetic appreciation, while language abilities were graded as medium, indicating a need for targeted improvement. Recommendations include incorporating interactive language activities and industry-specific training, targeting critical thinking through case studies and debate clubs, broadening cultural understanding through international exposure, cultivating aesthetic appreciation through art classes, and increasing social responsibility through community service and internships. Integrating ethics education across all disciplines and practical ethical dilemma workshops were suggested to promote moral awareness. This study presents a complete examination of basic abilities in a vocational environment and offers actionable suggestions for educational improvement. This paper addresses the critical gap in creating vocational training programs for police officers. It focuses on police students' vocational education and provides a detailed assessment of fundamental abilities adapted for law enforcement training. The study findings give an insightful overview of the viable future revisions in vocational programs that match the educational requirements and practical demands of the police profession.

Analyzing competencies in creating and using educational videos in students of different educational programs

In modern science, it is generally accepted that the video format is more effective than other forms of presentation. Video content for educational purposes corresponds to human physiology, is on­trend and pedagogically proven. The authors analyze the scientific literature and personal professional experience of teachers and educational resources developers, and conclude that it is necessary to form competencies in the sphere of video content creation and application in university students of different educational programs, and present a model of these competencies. To obtain a comprehensive and up­to­date point of view regarding the formation of university students’ competencies in the sphere of application and creation of educational video content and their experience in developing educational videos, a project was initiated in which students created an educational video and then filled out a questionnaire where they evaluated not only the features of video content in education but also their personal experience of video creation and their competencies. The students’ questionnaires provide a rich material for quantitative and qualitative analysis of the formation of competencies that are necessary for creation of educational videos. The presented results may be of practical interest to teachers of educational organizations planning to create video content and apply it to improve the efficiency and quality of education, as well as to implement the formation of relevant competencies in students.

Digital technologies in additional professional education curricula as a mean for developing professional competencies in polytechnic university students

Digitalization of education plays an important role in the implementation of programs to train highly qualified personnel for the digital economy. The project “Digital departments”, implemented since 2022 at the intersection of additional education and information technologies within the framework of the national program “Digital economy of the Russian Federation”, creates a unique educational format, not only changing the organizational forms of training but also allowing the use of digital technologies as means of developing the vocational competencies of students. The article presents data on the first implementation results of the additional professional education program “Information technologies in design” at the “digital department” of Perm National Research Polytechnic University and aimed at training specialists in the field of industrial design. The digital technologies considered in the article act not only as tools in the operational activity of an industrial designer but also as means for the vocational development of special design thinking skills. The author’s teaching methods are of practical value for achieving the effect of “creativization” of design solutions developed by the program participants. It is proved that in such context, digital technologies contribute to the formation of students’ skills of creative actions carrying artistic, aesthetic, and economic value. The presented results may be of practical interest to heads of university design education, to teachers — researchers of the problems of digital transformation of engineering and graphic education, as well as methodologists and teachers­practitioners who provide training in the programs of higher and additional vocational education in the IT sphere.

The Development of Raya-In: Learning Media Based on Smart Apps Creator to Improve Primary School Social Science Learning

Technology-based learning media in social science are not readily available in primary schools. Meanwhile, learning media, especially technology-based, supports social science competencies for primary school students. This study aimed to develop learning media, named Raya-In (Ragam Budaya Indonesia), based on Smart Apps Creator to improve the social science learning of fourth-grade students in SDN Kangkung 01 within the Indonesian cultural diversity theme. This study used the Borg and Gall model design, which consisted of 8 stages: potential and problem analysis, data collection, product design, product validation, revision, small-scale trial, large-scale trial, and final product. The study involved media experts and content experts to validate the media. The subjects were fourth-grade students of SDN Kangkung 1 (n=39). Data was collected by observation, interview, pretest, questionnaire, documentation, and posttest. The final result showed that Raya-In passed the media and content experts' evaluation and revision processes. The media and content experts gave high scores in the qualified category. The Pretest, posttest, T-test, and N-gain tests showed that Raya-In supported social science learning. The study aligned with learning in the current era, using technology-based media. Raya-In development based on Smart Apps Creator was validated to support social science learning in primary school.

Use of Digital Technology in Education at The State Institut of Christiany Palangka Raya

This research explores the use of digital technology in education at the Palangka Raya State Christian Institute. The main focus of the research is to determine the impact of digital technology on learning quality, material accessibility, student engagement, and the technical challenges faced. The research method used is a qualitative approach through observation and interviews with lecturers and students as well as secondary data analysis. The results of this research show that digital technology has significantly increased the interaction between lecturers and students, enabled more flexible access to learning materials, and increased student engagement through interactive features. The conclusion of this research is that the use of digital technology in education is its ability to provide access to various educational resources. This not only broadens students' knowledge but also encourages independent learning. This research also provides recommendations for a deeper integration of technology in the curriculum and the development of digital competencies for lecturers and students. So that digital technology can continue to improve the quality of education at the Palangka Raya State Christian Religion Institute.

The development of information and analytical competencies in the professional training of master's students in the "State and municipal management" direction

Information and analytical competencies are an integral part of the professional skills of state and municipal authorities, as they allow to effectively process and analyze large amounts of information, make informed decisions, and forecast the consequences of the actions taken. Such skills are especially relevant in the conditions of the modern information society, where access to the information has become wider and data volumes are growing every day. The development of information and analytical competencies is a necessary condition for the successful professional activity of graduates of the direction 38.04.04 “State and Municipal Management”. To form and improve these competencies in students it is necessary to use modern methods and tools for working with big data, such as data analysis, information visualization, with databases, and others. It is important to develop the critical thinking and self­control ability when working with information. Using the example of teaching the discipline “Information and analytical technologies in the state and municipal management” at the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, the author proves the necessity of using B. Bloom’s taxonomy as the basis of the course methodology: thanks to the hierarchy of learning and research objectives, it is possible to effectively form information and analytical competencies and their consistent consolidation in the professional activities of master’s students.

Assessment of student ICT competence according to mathematics, science, and reading literacy: evidence from PISA 2018

To assess the integration of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in teaching and learning, a new construct for ICT competence was developed by the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) in 2022. The framework for ICT assessment involves four major dimensions; access to ICT, use of ICT, students’ ICT competencies, and subject-related ICT use. In this paper, we analysed this ICT assessment in terms of validity construction of test scores with data from PISA 2018 and investigated ICT competence in relation to the variables of mathematics, science, and reading literacy. The analyses were based on public data from PISA 2018 for Turkey (N = 6890). After removal of univariate and multivariate outliers from the Turkish sample, factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation modelling were performed on 5438 data items. In the study, we confirmed the four-dimensional structure of ICT competence for the Turkish sample. In this study, the construct validity of the PISA 2018 application ICT test was verified using the Turkish sample. The ESCS variable was included as a control variable in the analyses due to its significant impact on the relevant variables. The analysis showed that the mathematical literacy scores of the PISA 2018 Turkish students were positively low affected by the availability of ICT, negatively low affected by the entertainment of ICT, and positively low affected by the interest and perceived competence in ICT, use of ICT for educational purposes at school and outside school, and the use of ICT related to the subject. Considering the ICT variables that affected the PISA 2018 students’ science literacy scores; the entertainment of ICT and the interest and perceived competence in ICT significantly low affected the students’ use of ICT on the subject. On the other hand, the availability of ICT negative significantly low affect their science literacy scores. While the entertainment of ICT negatively low affected the science literacy scores, interest and perceived competence in ICT and use of ICT for educational purposes at school and outside school positively low affected the students’ use of ICT on the subject. Finally, when we look at the ICT variables that low affected the students’ reading literacy scores; and use of ICT for educational purposes at school and outside school and the interest and perceived competence in ICT significantly positive low affected the use of ICT on the subject. On the other hand, the availability of ICT negative significantly low affect reading literacy scores. While the entertainment of ICT negatively low affected reading literacy scores; interest and perceived competence in ICT positively low affected the use of ICT on the subject.

Management of the Nuris Student Exchange Program in Improving Student Competency at the Leading Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Islam Jember

This research explains the management of the Nuris Student Exchange Program in improving student competency at the Leading Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Islam-Jember. This research uses a qualitative approach, with a case study type Data collection techniques use interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions/verification. The data validity test was carried out using the triangulation method. The research results show that (1) The Nuris Student Exchange Program planning was carried out by the caretaker board to disseminate Islamic teachings, especially the Aswaja creed. (2) The implementation of the Nuris Student Exchange Program is attended (3) Monitoring and evaluation of the Nuris Student Exchange Program is always carried out with K.H. Muhyiddin, Gus Robith, and other board members. It is for every improvement that we hope that the Nuris Student Exchange Program will be better from year to year.

Effectiveness of Interventions to Improve Preceptor Performance in Nursing Student Competencies

Perceptors need to be proficient in clinical teaching and assessment in reaching learning objectives while handling client caseload and delivering safe and efficient care. However, evidence to inform best practices for mentor development is limited, as is evidence regarding the efficacy of programs for the mentor role. This study aims to analyse interventions to improve preceptor performance on nursing student competencies. Methods: This study employs a systematic review, with study literature gathered from multiple electronic databases, including Pubmed, Science Direct, ProQuest, and SAGE using a PRISMA flow guidline. Data was collected by searching for research for 2019-2024 and searches were conducted until March 4, 2024. The keywords used are "Intervention" "Improve" "Preceptor" "Student Nursing Performance". Eligible studies require the use of quasi-experiments to identify interventions to improve preceptor performance in the competence of nursing students in different data base sources. Results: A total of 12 articles were analyzed because they provide information about interventions to improve preceptor performance in the competence of nursing students. Five articles on Randomized Controlled Trials, 7 articles using Quasi-experimental design. This article recommends an intervention clinical teaching on One Minute Preceptor because it is effective and can be used in a limited time. Conclusions: Overall, research shows that nursing education should improve recent graduates' readiness to achieve competence. Nurse educators should facilitate comprehensive assistance in order to enable students to acclimatise to the nursing profession’s culture before beginning their clinical education.

The development of digital educational materials on tribology and their application in the formation of the professional competence of future physics teachers

Tribology, as a science that studies friction in mechanisms and their wear, occupies an important place in the combination of education, science and industry. Therefore, the training of future physics teachers in the field of tribology is one of the urgent issues. The purpose of this study is to increase the effectiveness of teaching in the field of tribology and to evaluate the effectiveness of digital education in forming the professional competencies of students in this field. This research also used the methods of modeling in a digital environment, software and constructive design along with the methods of theoretical analysis. In addition, a pedagogical experiment was conducted in which 86 students participated. The learning outcomes were assessed using questionnaires. As a result of the research, an elective course “Physical Foundations of Tribology” was developed and digital resources for the discipline are included in the educational program. The results showed that the students in these programs have a high level of professional creativity and a positive attitude towards creative educational activities. They are also sufficiently prepared to use digital learning materials for this course (M = 3.89). The educational and methodological test showed how well e-learning resources have been developed to help students master the discipline of tribology at a professional level. This is evidenced by the fact that about 75% of students demonstrated a high level of professional knowledge and abilities. The results of the study are recommended to be used at all stages of training future teachers.

Cultivating Student Competencies and Practical Exploration in the Pharmaceutical Service Teaching Model

With the increasing demand for healthcare and the rapid development of the pharmaceutical service field, pharmaceutical education faces new challenges and opportunities. Traditional pharmaceutical service te aching models can no longer fully meet the requirements of modern pharmaceutical talent cultivation, necessitating the integration of modern educational technologies and innovative teaching methods. This paper first provides an overview of the existing pharmaceutical service teaching models and then explores the cultivation of student competencies within this model, including systematic knowledge and skills development, formation of clinical decision-making abilities, enhancement of communication and collaboration skills, and education on professional ethics and regulatory compliance. Finally, this paper proposes innovative practices in the pharmaceutical service teaching model, such as innovations in practice bases and internship projects, the application of virtual reality and simulation technologies, and the development of interdisciplinary teaching projects, aiming to provide new ideas and methods for pharmaceutical education.

Integration of ChatGPT Into a Course for Medical Students: Explorative Study on Teaching Scenarios, Students' Perception, and Applications.

Text-generating artificial intelligence (AI) such as ChatGPT offers many opportunities and challenges in medical education. Acquiring practical skills necessary for using AI in a clinical context is crucial, especially for medical education. This explorative study aimed to investigate the feasibility of integrating ChatGPT into teaching units and to evaluate the course and the importance of AI-related competencies for medical students. Since a possible application of ChatGPT in the medical field could be the generation of information for patients, we further investigated how such information is perceived by students in terms of persuasiveness and quality. ChatGPT was integrated into 3 different teaching units of a blended learning course for medical students. Using a mixed methods approach, quantitative and qualitative data were collected. As baseline data, we assessed students' characteristics, including their openness to digital innovation. The students evaluated the integration of ChatGPT into the course and shared their thoughts regarding the future of text-generating AI in medical education. The course was evaluated based on the Kirkpatrick Model, with satisfaction, learning progress, and applicable knowledge considered as key assessment levels. In ChatGPT-integrating teaching units, students evaluated videos featuring information for patients regarding their persuasiveness on treatment expectations in a self-experience experiment and critically reviewed information for patients written using ChatGPT 3.5 based on different prompts. A total of 52 medical students participated in the study. The comprehensive evaluation of the course revealed elevated levels of satisfaction, learning progress, and applicability specifically in relation to the ChatGPT-integrating teaching units. Furthermore, all evaluation levels demonstrated an association with each other. Higher openness to digital innovation was associated with higher satisfaction and, to a lesser extent, with higher applicability. AI-related competencies in other courses of the medical curriculum were perceived as highly important by medical students. Qualitative analysis highlighted potential use cases of ChatGPT in teaching and learning. In ChatGPT-integrating teaching units, students rated information for patients generated using a basic ChatGPT prompt as "moderate" in terms of comprehensibility, patient safety, and the correct application of communication rules taught during the course. The students' ratings were considerably improved using an extended prompt. The same text, however, showed the smallest increase in treatment expectations when compared with information provided by humans (patient, clinician, and expert) via videos. This study offers valuable insights into integrating the development of AI competencies into a blended learning course. Integration of ChatGPT enhanced learning experiences for medical students.

The determinants of digital competencies in accounting: an empirical study in Vietnam

PurposeThis study investigates the determinants of digital competencies (DC) of students and professionals in accounting.Design/methodology/approachA total of 278 valid questionnaires were collected from 145 accounting students and 133 professionals to test the relationship between some characteristics of learners through the t-test and two-way ANOVA test.FindingsThe results showed a difference in DC between students and professionals. Whereas the characteristics of students do not influence their DC, gender and the number of short courses significantly affect their DC. Information and communication technologies (ICTs) should be provided in accounting programs as core competencies.Research limitations/implicationsA sample size that is not too large and does not include learners and professionals in the central and northern areas is problematic.Practical implicationsThe key findings support the development of policies for digital transformation in accounting.Originality/valueAccounting is one of the professions that must keep up with the changes in the world, which is in the process of rapid digitalization. Hence, this study is valuable for accounting practitioners, higher education institutions and managers to enhance DC continuously.
