Small Initiative, Big Impact: The Case of the Green and Blue Quetta Project

Climate change has created several challenges worldwide, especially in developing countries. Recent research on community participation in efforts dealing with climate change indicates a promising direction for communities in developing countries to take. This research is based on the Green and Blue Quetta project, which was led by a resident and involved a team of dedicated volunteers concerned about the city’s deteriorating environment due to climate change. Actively seeking participation by residents by the Green and Blue Quetta team and meticulous planning resulted in 10,000 trees planted in and around the city and significantly increased the awareness of climate issues among residents. People of various backgrounds, especially children, received education on climate change and the ways individuals can make their contributions to deal with environmental challenges. It is suggested that the case provides lessons that have implications for future environmental efforts for communities in developing countries.

Community Activity in Environmental Management Mangrove Forest in Pariaman City

The potential and unique natural resources in the Pariaman Mangrove Forest have a very significant role in the economic, social, cultural, and environmental development of coastal communities. Environmental management of the Pariaman Mangrove Forest is one of the efforts to support the development of coastal areas optimally, wisely, and responsibly, of course by involving community participation and various related parties and while still paying attention to the environmental carrying capacity of the Pariaman Mangrove Forest. This research aims to provide an overview of community activity in managing the Mangrove Forest environment in Pariaman City. Enthusiasm, desires, and hopes as well as the social concern of the local community are forms of community participation in efforts to manage the Mangrove Forest environment. Community participation is a supporting factor in efforts to develop the coastal area of Pariaman City. The description of community participation in the environmental management of Mangrove Forests is shown by the high level of community desire to protect and preserve them as well as their hope for efforts to protect or improve Mangrove Forests. The form of community participation is voluntary or self-directed participation.

SOSIALISASI PENTINGNYA MENJAGA SISTEM SALURAN DRAINASE DI LINGKUNGAN DESA LENGGAHSARI

The aim of community service activities is related to socializing the importance of maintaining the drainage system in Lenggahsari Village to increase community awareness, change community behavior to be more concerned about drainage channels, as well as active community participation in efforts to maintain and protect the drainage system and the village environment. The service method applies a socialization method targeting residents of Lenggahsari Village. The impact of the success of the program shows that residents are very enthusiastic about the socialization carried out because they gain new knowledge, residents become more concerned about the potential dangers to health and the environment if the channel is left in bad condition, and the creation of an approach program for residents who are less concerned about the environment to be more raising awareness.

PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH DI DESA WISATA SERANGAN

Serangan tourist village as a tourism area is faced with the problem of increasing the amount of waste piles due to an increase in population and increased human activity. Waste production is increasing every day in line with the increase in population and consumption patterns. The thing that must be done to overcome the increasing volume of waste is by reducing the volume of waste at the source through empowering community participation. The problem in community participation regarding waste management is what forms of regulation are related to waste management in the Serangan Tourism Village Environment. The introduction of waste management to the community aims to introduce waste management methods in preserving and keeping the environment clean in Serangan Tourism Village. Based on the research results, one form of community participation in efforts to improve the environment is by donating labor in the form of community service and participating in waste management. Apart from that, they also held community meetings which were attended by some residents for the kelurahan level. The community carried out these activities without feeling forced at all. The level of community participation that occurred in the Serangan Village Environment according to the medium category, the community participates in waste management but the implementation is still not optimal. The important role of the community and all parties is expected for the realization of success in providing learning about community participation in waste management to maintain cleanliness in the tourist village environment.

The Role of Community Participation in Supporting Tomohon City Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2021

This research aims to evaluate community participation in efforts to support the Regional Regulation of Tomohon City No. 1 of 2021 concerning Increasing Discipline and Law Enforcement of Health Protocols in Preventing and Controlling Covid-19. This study uses a qualitative method. The research results show that Regional Regulation of Tomohon City no. 1 of 2021 has been implemented well by the government in terms of socialization, implementation and supervision. However, community participation is still relatively low. In fact, the city of Tomohon is often included in the red zone for the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak. This proves that the level of community participation is relatively low. The influencing factors are 1) lack of understanding and awareness, 2) spread of incorrect information (hoaxes), 3) distrust of the government, 4) pandemic fatigue, 5) social and economic factors.

Transformational Leadership in Times of Crisis: Study of Handling COVID-19 in Bumi Raja-Raja

This study aims to analyze the transformational leadership of Village Heads in efforts to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19 in the Maluku Province area known as Bumi Raja-Raja. Village heads are called "Bapa Raja" because of their position as community leaders, religious leaders, and even traditional leaders because a Bapa Raja must have a noble lineage. This study used a qualitative method with an exploratory and descriptive research approach. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, observation and literature review. The results showed that Bapa Raja plays a key role in strengthening local capacity, addressing potential risks, and meeting the basic needs of people in the village. They not only strengthen local empowerment but also overcome and reduce potential and fulfil basic needs in villages by taking concrete action and utilizing local resources pro-actively and having a positive impact in breaking the chain of the spread of COVID-19 and supporting local governments in implementing policies and pandemic response programs. The study recommendation is to strengthen the role of Bapa Raja as a collaborative agent for local governments to increase active community participation in efforts to break the chain of spread of the COVID-19 virus. Thus, in the future, Bapa Raja, as a local leader as well as a traditional & community figure, can be the main force in facing crises while maintaining the stability and prosperity of their community.

Permasalahan Pelaksanaan Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah pada Sekolah Dasar di Dabin Gugus Raden Sa’id Kabupaten Kudus

School-based management is a way of managing educational institutions in terms of planning, implementing and evaluating education. MBS stands for , a policy approach that aims to shape school leadership by empowering school leaders and increasing community participation in efforts to improve school performance, including teachers, students, parents and the community. In this case, education management according to MBS is different from previous education management which is centralized in nature, while MBS provides broad autonomy to the school unit itself and involves the community to participate in advancing education in schools. In other words, all school policies and programs are determined by the school committee based on deliberations from members consisting of regional education officials, school principals, teachers, parents' representatives, community leaders, and regional officials where the school is located. The democratization of education is carried out by involving elements of the local government, community and parents in a partnership relationship and fostering positive support for madrasah education. At this level, the decentralization of education as a result of autode includes three important points, namely school-based management, delegation of authority, and educational innovation. The new paradigm in the field of education has pushed towards more humane educational goals. Educational autonomy has provided an opportunity for regions to be able to spur education in their respective regions. While in decentralized management, a lot of central, regional, and regional offices authority is handed over to schools. With this approach, schools will be more empowered and the decisions they make will be more effective and efficient. In the context of implementing SBM, school functions that were originally carried out by the government were partially decentralized to schools to run professionally. For this reason, schools need to build good relations with the community. Schools have programs that need to be introduced to the community, schools also accept criticism and suggestions from the community.

STRATEGI POLITIK DALAM PENGENTASAN DESA TERTINGGAL

The village development program run by the government in reducing poverty in rural areas, in its implementation, especially for all parties, is still in doubt. The village categories based on the Highly Underdeveloped Village Index (IDM) and Disadvantaged Villages show a correlation with the condition of the poor population in these village categories. For this reason, demands for a joint political strategy between the government and the community are urgently needed, related to strengthening decentralization, changing the role of the local bureaucracy and building community participation in efforts to alleviate underdeveloped villages or poor villages in order to contribute to reducing poverty in rural areas. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach with a purposeito make a charmisystematically,ifactual andiaccurate factsiand population traitsior certain areas. The results of the research show that on the Village Government service side it is still not on target, programs that should be for the poor are also enjoyed by the rich. So that the poor do not develop and do not increase their standard of living, this causes the village to still be in the category of underdeveloped villages, even very underdeveloped.

Peran Serta Masyarakat Dalam Upaya Pencegahan HIV AIDS Di Kelurahan Kalumpang

In Indonesia the development of the spread of HIV AIDS every year shows an increase. Many efforts have been made involving all stakeholders and even the community to reduce the rate of spread of this disease, but there is no sign that this epidemic will end. HIV AIDS prevention has been regulated through a Minister of Health Regulation, where the involvement of community participation in efforts to prevent and control HIV AIDS through AIDS Care Citizens. Objective: to empower the community through the establishment of WPA in support of the HIV AIDS prevention program at the sub-district level. Method: activities through training involving representatives of community leaders and youth. Result: establishment of WPA Kalumpang Village consisting of 20 representatives of community leaders (health cadres, RT) and youth. Conclusion: community empowerment through WPA to prevent HIV AIDS transmission and HIV AIDS prevention at the Kalumpang Village level.

Millennial Community Participation in Tourism Village Development

Sumberbulu Hamlet is a Tourism Village located in Karanganyar Regency, Central Java Province. The people of this village are trying to develop their village into an advanced tourist village that is attractive for many tourists to visit. However, in its development, community participation in village development is felt to be not optimal, especially the participation of people who are classified as millennials. Therefore, this study aims to reveal the forms and levels of millennial community participation in efforts to develop their villages. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with informants from several residents belonging to the millennial age group and village officials. The results of the study show that the form of participation is included in Pseudo-Participation, while the level of participation, in general, is at the Partnership level. It is recommended that the village government and other stakeholders can improve education and training for millennial communities in the development of tourism villages, so that they can strengthen their abilities and knowledge in developing tourism in Sumberbulu village.

Community Empowerment Together, Know the Spread and Prevention Of Covid 19

The new world is faced with a health problem, namely the new coronavirus disease pandemic (Corona Virus Disease-2019), caused by the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). This disease was first discovered in December 2019 in the City of Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. This disease can manifest from mild respiratory disorders to severe pneumonia which causes death, this is a global challenge. In March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared Covid-19 a pandemic, meaning that the disease has spread over a large area, for example several continents, or worldwide. Although intensive research efforts around the world have been carried out, among others related to the prevention, spread and also treatment of Covid-19. Government policies and community participation in efforts to deal with the pandemic are very influential in preventing the spread of the Covid-19 virus. In the context of handling the Covid-19 pandemic, in addition to the government's vaccination program, it also recommends maintaining distance, wearing masks, and washing hands as a preventive measure. The aim of this research is to empower the community to recognize the spread and prevent COVID-19 at the UPT Puskesmas Jenawi, Karanganyar Regency. Place of Implementation at the Karanganyar Jenawi Health Center. Implementation time March 14, 2022 Method: Implementation of activities using a group-based method which is carried out in a comprehensive manner, starting from coordination with policy makers at the Jenawi Health Center, approaches and coordination with the community, educating the community, mentoring, and discussions. The activities of the community service team are carried out in a measurable and monitoring and evaluation process to measure achievement of targets and outcomes, through the role of the community, cadres and puskesmas so that they can improve the health status of the community. The sample is 40 respondents with purposive sampling technique. The results of the implementation of education in the community gain knowledge and insight about Covid 19 so that the community can be empowered to participate in the prevention of Covid 19. The community needs to be vigilant and protective of this global pandemic by knowing its prevention and spread so it is necessary to empower the community and cadres to participate in preventing covid-19 19 through community service by involving competent experts, namely experts in the field of medicine, public health experts, psychologists providing knowledge to the community related to the spread and prevention of the Covid 19 virus.

Hamlet Youth Efforts to Build a Village in Kulon Progo

The background of this research is community participation in efforts to build village potential starting from the hamlet. The problem formulation in this research is 1) What is the planning strategy for building the potential of Bendungan village starting from the hamlet? 2) What are the obstacles faced in the village development planning strategy from the Dusun Kuncen Wates District, Kulon Progo Regency? 3) What are the efforts to overcome obstacles in the planning strategy for developing Villages from Dusun? The research design that the authors use is a descriptive analysis research design. The primary data source is that there are 15 people who were interviewed. Data collection techniques in this study were library research, and field studies (observations and interviews). Data analysis techniques in this study were collecting observation and interview data, interpreting observation and interview data, describing observation and interview data to answer the research problem formulation and drawing conclusions from observation and interview data to answer the research problem formulation. Based on the results of the study that 1) The village development planning strategy starting from Kuncen Hamlet, Wates District, Kulon Progo Regency, in general, can be implemented, but there are still several indicators of implementation that are still not optimal, 2) lack of awareness that village potential can be explored can be more beneficial for welfare 3) The efforts made, namely inviting the community to be more active, providing understanding to the community, are still not being implemented by the Village Government.

Knowledge, Perception, and Participation of Proboscis Monkey Habitat Buffer Village Communities, Curiak Island Area

Background: Indonesia has the third largest biodiversity of primate fauna in the world with 61 species, and there are 38 endemic primate species from these 61 species. One of the endangered endemic primates is Proboscis Monkey which is the mascot of the fauna of South Kalimantan. Proboscis proboscis conservation efforts are the responsibility of all parties, including the community. Community concern and participation are indicators of the success of proboscis monkey conservation. Aim: This study aims to analyze the condition of the socio-cultural aspects of the local community around the proboscis monkey habitat in the Curiak Island area through knowledge, perception and community participation. Method: Descriptive method with purposive sampling was used. Meanwhile, the research instruments were in the form of questionnaires distributed to the public and direct interviews. Findings: The results of this study show that public knowledge of the existence of proboscis monkeys and their habitat on average exceeds 50%; people's perception of the existence of proboscis monkeys and their habitat on average exceeds 50%; and community participation in efforts to protect proboscis monkeys and their habitats by more than 80%.

Memandirikan Masyarakat Melalui Gerakan 1 Rumah 1 Jumantik (G1R1J) Serta Edukasi Gejala DBD di Kelurahan Bandengan

The increase in dengue cases continues to occur, especially during the rainy season. The Ministry of Health noted that in 2022, the cumulative number of Dengue cases in Indonesia up to the 22nd week was reported as 45,387 cases and the number of deaths due to DHF reached 432 cases. Bandengan Village is one of the DHF endemic areas, data obtained from the Dukuh Health Center shows the number of cases of DHF cases as many as 2 cases in July 2022, this figure is the highest number in the working area of the Dukuh Health Center. This is exacerbated by the existing problems in the Bandengan sub-district, including the lack of community participation in efforts to prevent DHF and monitoring of larvae has not been carried out routinely. Methods This community service activity uses an extension and FGD approach. The activity was carried out for 3 hours with 30 participants consisting of cadres, youth leaders, community leaders, RW heads. There was an increase in the knowledge of 27 socialization participants from the post-test results, as well as the formation of the TOT team and the jumantik monitoring and evaluation team at the RW level which will disseminate knowledge and skills in dengue prevention through the 1 house 1 jumantik movement (G1R1J).

PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM UPAYA PENERAPAN 5 PILAR SANITASI TOTAL BERBASIS MASYARAKAT (STBM) DI DESA CILELLANG KECAMATAN MALLUSETASI KABUPATEN BARRU

Community participation in implementing the 5 pillars of community-based total sanitation is very important so that it can be fully implemented so that people can live clean and healthy so as to avoid environmental-based diseases. The aim of the study was to determine Community Participation in Efforts to Implement the 5 Pillars of Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) in Cilellang Village, Mallusetasi District, Barru District. The type of research used is quantitative research with a quantitative descriptive approach with a total sample of 60 people taken by simple random sampling technique. The variables studied were participation and implementation of the 5 pillars of community-based total sanitation. The results of this study were based on statistical tests obtained by the Cilelleng Village Community who participated by 60.0% and 40.0% who did not participate. This research suggests the local government to socialize more about the importance of the 5 pillars in everyday life to avoid various kinds of environmental-based diseases.

Community Perception and Participation in Mangrove Ecosystem Restoration Effort in Lembar Village, West Lombok Regency

The mangrove ecosystem in the Lembar area has a high ecological role and is used as a pilot area for mangrove conservation and rehabilitation activities in the southern part of West Lombok Regency. Community perception and participation will determine the success of conservation and rehabilitation activities. Therefore, this study aims to determine and describe the perceptions and participation of the community in efforts to restore the mangrove ecosystem in Lembar Village, West Lombok. The research method was carried out through a qualitative research approach with the technique of determining the informant based on the purposive sampling technique. The results showed that community participation in mangrove ecosystem restoration efforts in the Lembar area of West Lombok as a whole showed a low category, this was caused by the characteristics of the community who did not have good knowledge and understanding of the mangrove ecosystem and the benefits of its development. The community's perception of the existence of the ecosystem and its development is categorized as low so that it has an impact on the low level of community participation in efforts to restore mangrove ecosystems.

Community Participation in Efforts to Develop Islamic Religious Education

Community participation means that the community participates in and accompanies the government because in reality the government is currently the designer and organizer. Development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), which means a process or system of hard work to change conditions that are related to the work or products of humans in building Islamic Education to be better in all its aspects and to have a wider impact and benefits than before. The purpose of this study is to describe community participation in efforts to develop Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and supporting and inhibiting factors for community participation in efforts to develop Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Karangketug Village, Gadingrejo District, Pasuruan City. This research is a qualitative research approach. The informants of this research were the head of RW 3, the head of the RT and the surrounding community. Data collection methods in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. Sources of data used in this study are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The results obtained from this study are 1) Community participation in efforts to develop Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Karangketug Village, Gadingrejo District, Pasuruan City can be seen in terms of: first, community participation in developing various religious activities. Second, participation in providing support with religious activities. Third, participation in funding and infrastructure for Islamic Religious Education, namely by making contributions that have been mutually agreed upon and contributing to Islamic religious education infrastructure, namely in the form of equipment for samroh activities such as tambourines and so on. 2) The supporting factors for community participation in efforts to develop Islamic Religious Education (PAI) are the support from various parties including the village government, the head of RW 3, the head of RT 1, and the surrounding community. The inhibiting factors for community participation in efforts to develop Islamic Religious Education (PAI) are erratic community time together, weather, health conditions, and a small proportion of people who are lazy to participate in activities.

Background:
 COVID-19 is an pandemic, including Indonesia. PHBS (Clean and Healthy Living Behaviour) is an effort to strengthen the behaviour of a person, group, and community to care for and prioritize health to create a higher quality life. Community participation in efforts to prevent COVID-19 is an important factor in breaking the chain of infection. As 9 July 2020 3 residents have been confirmed positive for COVID-19 in Randuboto Village. 
 Objectives:
 Therefore this research was carried out to analyze the factors related to PHBS practices durung the COVID-19 pandemic in Randuboto Village, Gresik Regency. 
 Research Metodes: 
 This type of research used in this study is an observational study using a cross sectional approach. The population in this study was the total population of Randuboto Village, Gresik Regency which was recorded as many as 4,006 people. The sampling technique used in this study was snowball sampling. The nimber of samples taken was 108 samples that met the inclusion criteria. The independent variables in this study are the level of knowledge, attitudes, and the availability of supporting facilities for the respondents. The dependent variable in this study is PHBS practices during the COVID-19 pandemic. 
 Results: 
 PHBS practices in Randuboto Village, Gresik Regency during the COVID-19 pandemic showed good practice at 55,6%. This is related to the activity of washing hands with soap and running water, diligently eat healthy foods, regularly do physical activity/ exercise, smoking outside the house, regularly cleaning the neighborhood where I live, regularly leaving the house during the COVID-19 emergency using a mask, frequently visiting public places and being crowded during colds. The majority of respondents were ≤ 25 years old, which was 63,9%, while the majority of respondents education level was Senior High School at 53,7%. The majority of respondents types of work are other at 52,8%. The variable related to the practice of PHBS during the COVID-19 pandemic are the level of knowledge(0,001), attitudes (0,001), and the availability of supporting facilities (0,001). 
 Conclusion: 
 Most of the respondents have a poor level of knowledge, good attitude, availability of adequate supporting infrastructure and good PHBS practices during the COVID-19 pandemic.The practice of PHBS during the COVID-19 pandemic In the environment around Randuboto Village, Gresik regency needs to be improved again, especially in knowledge, as weel as the availability of supporting facilities. It is hoped that the community an also improve personal hygiene such as washing hands regularly and wearing masks when doing activities outside. This is very important to break the chain of spread of the COVID-19.
