Abstract: Cloud computing is an approach to manage limitations or include restrains progressively without setting resources into new structure, preparing new work force or favouring new programming. As information exchange is a noteworthy activity in the current life, information security ends up being a significant issue. Prior to dissecting the security concerns, the importance of distributed or cloud-based processing is examined, and a number of cloud-based security-related challenges have been analyzed. The security issues identified with cloud computing has been investigated here and a local adaptable security solution for the cloud has been proposed. This paper also looks at the cloud security issues in terms of features like ease of adaptability, access, etc. This work is expected to empower scientists and experts to think about various security threats and work on finding out their effective solutions.

Security Issues and Research Challenges in Cloud Computing

Cloud Computing is a type of internet based computing which provides services via the internet and accesses the resources within the user enterprise either in a private-own-cloud or on a third-party server On Demand. The model is characterized by three attributes: scalability, pay-per-use, self-services. Many industries such as banking, healthcare, Retail, Education, Manufacturing and business are adopting this cloud technique due to efficiency of services provided by pay-per-use pattern which helps in accessing the networks, storage, servers, services and applications, without physically acquiring them [3]. The circumscribed control over the data may cause various security issues in cloud computing like Data crash, Misuse and reprehensible use of cloud computing, Insecure API, Wicked Insiders, Shared technology issues/multi-tendency nature, Account services and Traffic Hijacking. There are many new technologies, improvements and research proceedings happening every day in order to develop the security and to provide assurance for users [2]. This research paper brings a framework on what cloud computing is, main security risks and issues that are currently present in the field of cloud computing, research challenges, importance in key industries and also the personal hypothesis on future advances in the field of cloud security.

The advancement of information technology today depends on cloud computing. Every cloud consumer continues to search for the best services available, particularly in terms of security. The absence of uniform standards in the security architecture of the cloud, especially within the cloud computing community, has become an ongoing problem. Most cloud service providers automatically follow the best security practises and actively protect the operation of their systems. Enterprises are required to independently judge the security of their data, apps, and the cloud’s workload. The complexity of security concerns is increasing as the digital environment develops. Virtualization, multi-tenancy, security controls, rules, and risk profiling are all concepts in cloud security. DoS, service injection, user-to-root attacks, man-in-the-middle attacks, data loss leakage andloss, identity theft, and backdoor channel attacks are a few of the dangers associated with cloud computing. Cloud platforms, data outsourcing, data storage standardisation and security, data backup, and data recovery are all examples of cloud security services. Data storage, computation, untrusted computing, and virtualization security challenges are all a part of the cloud.

A Machine Learning based CIDS Model for Intrusion Detection to Ensure Security within Cloud Network

Cloud computing has evolved rapidly in recent years, and security concerns have gained prominence. Cloud computing offers the incredible capacity to provide inexpensive, easy-to-manage, flexible, adaptive, and powerful assets on the move via the Internet. Through effective and shared utilization, cloud computing maximizes the potential of hardware resources. Many issues in cloud computing raise are concerned regarding data and service availability. Numerous security services are needed to enhance cloud security for both users and service providers. One of the most essential research to establish security within cloud to avoid load imbalance situation through robust Cloud Intrusion Detection Systems (CIDS). Denial of service, scanning, malware code injection, virus, worm, and password cracking is prevalent cloud security issues. These attacks might jeopardize the company's reputation and inflict financial damage if not identified in time. Protecting the cloud from these kinds of threats, early detection and true prediction of such threats is the key goal of our proposal through this paper. It has been observed from earlier research proposals that dimensionality reduction is applied in conjunction with Data Mining (DM) and ML approaches found more perfomant in order to create such a robust model to ensure cloud network, authors suggested an CIDS by selecting appropriate features utilizing pertinent feature reduction approaches, then feeding this subset of data through the ML tool. 
 The simulation of the suggested model through ‘Python’ using ‘Scikit-Learn’ tool. Outcome of simulation experimental has been measured using various performance evaluation metric such as Precision, Recall, F-Score, Detection Ratio, RoC-curve etc. using KDDcup99 dataset as a benchmark. Simulation results from our suggested methodology were found more effective and comparable to several other existing methodologies.
 It has observed that ML based proposed model found capable enough to protect the cloud-based information by uncovering suspicious user behaviour interns as an outcome, secure cloud network against the threat and also found more performant in true prediction and early intrusion detection resultant reduction of computational cost.

Secure authentication schemes in cloud computing with glimpse of artificial neural networks: A review

The fast growth of the cloud computing technology has led to immense development in the public and private sectors. Cloud computing provides a high level of virtualization, massive scalability, multitenancy and elasticity. This has enabled organizations, academia, government departments and the public to move forward with this technology. However, they are unable to assuredly place their information over the clouds due to many security threats. Cloud security plays a vital role to establish a confidence between the cloud service providers, consumers and the multi-users to maintain the security levels of their data. This paper focuses the survey for cloud security issues, existing authentication schemes, data storage technologies and offers a glimpse of Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) applied to the cloud security.

The Proposed Framework for Cloud Computing System Security and Privacy Services

Public cloud computing has emerged as a popular and efficient solution for organizations to store, process, and access their data and applications. However, with the increasing adoption of public cloud services, concerns regarding security have become a critical factor in decision-making processes. This study aims to investigate the security aspects of public cloud computing and identify potential vulnerabilities and threats that organizations may face. The aim of this study is to examine the challenges associated with cloud computing and its security concerns. Cloud computing is a technology that utilizes the internet to share data and resources. It is characterized by five key features: On-Demand self-service, Resource Pooling, Broad network access, Rapid elasticity, and Measured Service. However, despite these benefits, cloud computing has several open issues, including Security, Availability, Scalability, and Interoperability. Traditional security techniques are insufficient in fully securing cloud computing. Security and privacy issues often arise during cloud deployment and delivery models. As a result, researchers are interested in learning more about cloud computing security and its methods. Industries are creating architectural models with a high level of protection for their data center to solve current security challenges. This article examines the security of cloud deployment strategies and analyzes cloud security and privacy challenges. The cloud computing service models are also discussed, along with any security issues. The study emphasizes the significance of Audit as a key factor in offering a security solution that covers all relevant security characteristics as determined by the literature. The study's conclusions present a fresh challenge to cloud service providers and suggest a new security paradigm that explains customer security needs. Overall, this study offers a parameter-by-parameter assessment of available security solutions and makes recommendations for enhancements to address cloud security issues.

An Analysis of Cloud Security Frameworks, Problems and Proposed Solutions

The rapidly growing use of cloud computing raises security concerns. This study paper seeks to examine cloud security frameworks, addressing cloud-associated issues and suggesting solutions. This research provides greater knowledge of the various frameworks, assisting in making educated decisions about selecting and implementing suitable security measures for cloud-based systems. The study begins with introducing cloud technology, its issues and frameworks to secure infrastructure, and an examination of the various cloud security frameworks available in the industry. A full comparison is performed to assess the framework’s focus, scope, approach, strength, limitations, implementation steps and tools required in the implementation process. The frameworks focused on in the paper are COBIT5, NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology), ISO (International Organization for Standardization), CSA (Cloud Security Alliance) STAR and AWS (Amazon Web Services) well-architected framework. Later, the study digs into identifying and analyzing prevalent cloud security issues. This contains attack vectors that are inherent in cloud settings. Plus, this part includes the risk factor of top cloud security threats and their effect on cloud platforms. Also, it presents ideas and countermeasures to reduce the observed difficulties.

A review on cloud security issues and solutions

Cyber resilience and cyber security issues of intelligent cloud computing systems

It is necessary to provide the cyber security of cloud computing according to the components that constitute its structure. The first step in advancing the cyber security of this technology is to accurately identify its threats. In this paper, a new cyber security reference model of the cloud system, which consists of components making up separate layers of cloud computing is proposed. Available reference models of cloud computing security do not describe the virtualization and service layers and the important components for providing the cyber security of cloud computing in detail, do not consider the social media IoT sensor layer, which collects the text data typed by attackers to carry out cyber attacks on the cloud infrastructure, and the cyber resilience issues of the cloud computing at all In addition, this paper studies the cyber security issues of cloud computing service models, and constructs an attack model to provide security of cloud systems. It gives an interpretation of standards and legislative acts on the cyber security of cloud computing. According to security aspects, clarification of the cyber security and cyber resilience concepts of cloud systems is provided. The cyber resilience architecture of intelligent cloud systems is developed. The advantage of developed cyber resilience model over available one is that, it determines the information security and cyber security aspects of cloud computing and combines them to form the cyber resilience aspects of cloud systems.

SECURITY ISSUES AND SOLUTION MECHANISMS IN CLOUD COMPUTING SYSTEMS: A REVIEW

The recent rapid development of cloud technologies has encouraged its widespread use by individual mobile users, private organizations and public institutions. Mobile users and organizations deploy their data on cloud servers and use it. Connections to cloud servers are realized over the Internet, which makes data transmitted over the network vulnerable to various types of attacks. Although numerous security solutions have been proposed for data security in cloud computing systems, the security of provided services remains an actual problem for both cloud users and cloud service providers. The article provides a general survey of security and privacy issues in cloud computing systems, and reviews various types of attacks and possible threats, as well as protection methods and available solutions against such attacks, and proposes mechanisms.

Using support vector machine regression to reduce cloud security risks in developing countries

The use of the cloud by governments throughout the world is being aggressively investigated to increase efficiency and reduce costs. The majority of cloud computing risk management programs prioritize addressing cloud security issues that government organizations may face when they choose to adopt cloud computing systems, but these programs lack evidence of security risks, and problems with using cloud computing in developing nations are uncommon, so they called for more research in this area. The objective of this paper is to use quantitative models namely Spearman's Rank correlation coefficient, simple regression, and support vector machine regression (SVMR) for estimating cloud security issues based on cloud control factors for improving the mitigation of cloud computing security issues based on control factors using intelligent models in a government organization. Identify the proper cloud control factors for every cloud security issue from estimation errors using a standard for performance measurement like mean square error (MSE) and root mean square error (RMSE), performance measurement to evaluate and validate proposed models. SVMR is an approach to enhance practices for cloud security platforms to mitigate risks and infrastructure for cloud adoption in developing countries in this paper.

SummaryCloud computing (CC) refers to the on‐demand availability of network resources, particularly data storage and processing power, without requiring special or direct administration by users. CC, which just made its debut as a collection of public and private data centers, provides clients with a unified platform throughout the Internet. Cloud computing has revolutionized the world, opening up new horizons with bright potential due to its performance, accessibility, low cost, and many other benefits. Due to the exponential rise of cloud computing, systems based on cloud computing now require an effective data security mechanism. Comprehensive security policies, corporate security culture, and cloud security solutions are used to ensure the level of cloud data security. Many techniques exist to protect data communication in the cloud environment, including encryption. Encryption algorithms play an important role in information security systems and various cloud computing‐based systems. Current researchers have focused on lightweight cryptography, genetics‐based cryptography, and machine learning (ML) algorithms for security in CC. This review study analyses CC security threats, problems, and solutions that use one or more algorithms. The work discusses several lightweight cryptographies, genetics‐based cryptography and different ML algorithms that are used to overcome cloud security issues, including supervised, unsupervised, semi‐supervised, and reinforcement learning. Moreover, we enlist future research directions to secure CC models.

Concerns from Cloud Security Issues: Challenges and Open Problems

The Cloud has become a significant topic in computing; however, the trend has established a new range of security issues that need to be addressed. For example, the owners of data might be worried because the data and associated software are not under their control but rather possessed by the Cloud. In addition, the data owner may not be aware of where the data is geographically located at any particular time. So a question arises as to how secure is the data contained in the Cloud. To help address this question, clients of the Cloud should be given the ability to assess the effectiveness of the Cloud’s security measures. Other concerns include unwarranted and unauthorized stoppage of clients’ services in the Cloud, breach of security measures, and disruption to service availability. In this article, perspectives from Cloud computing practitioners are shown to help address clients concerns and bring about awareness of the measures put in place to ensure the security of the client services running in the Cloud. In addition, we have reviewed a number of the existing Cloud security approaches and techniques to put a systematic survey of the current security issues in the Cloud environment. Furthermore, we discuss challenges and open problems that these mechanisms face to be effective and efficient.

It provides online services via third party which own the infrastructure. Due to the openness of cloud computing systems, customers have concerns about security point of view in the adoption of the services which they provide. The purpose of this paper is to give a detail regarding to the data security and privacy safety issues in cloud computing systems. A security architecture discussed in this paper to provide security measures. In this architecture it can be seen that every level provides security measures in different ways. Then this paper will also discuss some of the current available solutions. According to the findings of this research, in the designing phase of the applications which are based on cloud, there should be taken security measures to increase the trust level of customers’ and organizations.

Preliminary Examination of Emergent Threat and Risk Landscapes in Intelligent Harvesting Robots

Recently, many farmers have started using robots to help with labour-intensive harvesting operations and deal with labour shortage that was also a negative consequence of the recent COVID-19 pandemic. Intelligent harvesting robots make farming more efficient and productive. However, and like any other technology, intelligent harvesting robots come with a security risk, as threats can damage the robotic system and wreak havoc before the farmer/operator realizes it. This paper focuses on analysing the threats against the security of harvesting robots alongside with the safety implications that may rise if the robotic system is compromised. We analysed an actual asparagus harvesting robot and looked at others in the literature. We identified several security threats which we classified into five categories: network, hardware, software, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud security issues. We selected three interesting attack scenarios for a deeper analysis. Our results suggest that these robots have a large attack surface that can lead to exploits with immense financial and operational impacts.

Elliptic Curve Cryptography Based Homomorphic End-to-End Encryption Security in Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is turning into the principal computing model in the future because of its benefits, for example, high asset use rate and save significant expense of execution. The existing algorithms for security issues in cloud computing are basically advanced version of cryptography. Mainly cloud computing algorithm are concerning about data security and privacy preserving of user. To protect the privacy of data owner and data user the cryptographic data are shared and stored in cloud storage by applying HE-homomorphic encryption. According to environment of HE, this paper proposed a new hybrid algorithm by combining the two algorithms of cryptography i.e., AES and ECC with the concept of splitting algorithm. By the implementation of this hybrid algorithm, we will split any file into binary version and then after processing the cryptography technique. This hybrid algorithm provided higher protection against attacks over cloud storage and data sharing.
