Development of a security model for protecting the privacy of patients in a cloud-based information system

This work presents a security model in which medical professionals and other users can have access to patient’s health data stored in the cloud without knowledge of the identity of the particular patient which the database belongs to. The access control techniques used in this project grants classifier access to patient data, that is to say, it grants access to data based on the role of the data user. Thus, the aim and objective of the project is achieved.

An Overview of Cloud Computing Solutions in Library Services

This article intends to provide a comprehensive overview of the current applications of cloud computing services in libraries. This study investigates the ways in which cloud-based information systems and services can administer library records in a cloud computing environment and support the evolving needs of library patrons. The authors endeavor to rectify the identified deficiency, advantages, and prospects associated with the integration of cloud storage at the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) level with the remaining two tiers of cloud computing Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS).

The Role of Cloud Computing on Accounting Information System Quality:A Study in Hotel Industry

The hotel industry is a significant sector for Indonesian economic growth. Nowadays, cloud computing is bringing much potential for hotels to increase their competitive advantage, specifically in facilitating Information Systems (IS). However, we found still limited study that investigates cloud-based IS in accounting functions. Therefore, this study aims to analyze 1) the impact of the human aspect in determining cloud performance, 2) the impact of cloud performance on the relative advantage and compatibility of cloud-based Accounting Information Systems (AIS) in the hotel industry, and 3) the impact of its relative advantage and compatibility on cloud-based AIS quality. Using purposive sampling, the data was collected from accounting and/or information manager hotels in North Sumatra, Indonesia. The collected data were analyzed using variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). We found that human, cloud performance, and technology adaptability are the critical antecedents of cloud-based AIS quality in the hotel industry. Hotel leaders should consider user computer-self efficacy and cloud-AIS alignment design while developing and integrating cloud-based AIS into their general system.

DEONTOLOGICAL ASPECTS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF P-Care AT THE FIRST LEVEL OF HEALTH FACILITIES IN YOGYAKARTA CITY

Abstract: Deontological Aspects in The Implementation of P-Care at TheFirst Level of Health Facilities in Yogyakarta City. The 2015 SustainableDevelopment Goals (SDGs) opened a new focus on Universal Health Coverage (UHC).In Indonesia, the UHC concept has been proclaimed since 2000 which is thenorganized by Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) following the Law of theRepublic of Indonesia number 24 of 2011 Article 9 concerning the National SecurityAdministering Body. In implementing Indonesia’s national health insurance (JKN),BPJS kesehatan uses a cloud-based information system for Fasilitas KesehatanTingkat Pertama (FKTP) / The first level health facility, namely Primary Care (P-Care)which contains medical information for more than 222 million people. According tothe Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA), data in P-Care includesProtected Health Information (PHI) which can lead to potential ethical violations. Thisstudy aims to determine ethical issues from the Deontology aspect related to theapplication of P-Care in FKTPs in Yogyakarta City. The Method of research is thesequential exploratory mix method. The deontology point of view was chosen becausethe principle of Deontology, namely personal intrinsic value cannot be separated fromethical issues. The results showed that there are ethical issues in the application ofP-Care in FKTPs in Yogyakarta City, namely privacy and confidentiality, security, andinformed consent with the important issue being the involvement of third parties inP-Care data input, P-Care which can be accessed anywhere, lack of personalvalidation, as well as a printed diagnosis that anyone can read. The most powerfulinfluencing factor is the intrinsic value of each agent in understanding these ethicalissues.

Cloud-based information system for automated precast concrete transportation planning

Transportation planning of precast concrete (PC) products require a large amount of information to be integrated and communicated among the managers. However, without a system specialized for PC products transportation planning, they currently have difficulties in generating and communicating the plans quickly and efficiently. This study proposes a cloud-based information system for automated PC transportation planning. Specifically, the authors first identified 26 functional requirements based on a PC transportation planning process analysis, literature review, and expert interviews. The authors then designed five system modules and a system architecture that can meet the requirements. The authors validated the system design by developing a prototype and testing its utility and applicability through a case study and demonstration to experts. This study provides knowledge on the requirements of PC transportation planning systems and a system design that can resolve PC logistics problems, which can contribute to improving the productivity of offsite construction projects.

Information Needs of Gravel Road Stakeholders

Within any ecosystem, information sharing is essential. In this paper, the Swedish gravel road ecosystem is studied, where information plays a crucial role for the effective management of operations and maintenance. However, efficient information sharing is not enabled due to the lack of appropriate information systems. For addressing this issue, this paper intends to elicit information needs of gravel road stakeholders to support the design of a cloud-based information system. The main purpose is to explore the information needs of stakeholders within the Swedish gravel road ecosystem. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews with 11 participants representing key stakeholders in the ecosystem. Template analysis was used for analyzing the interview results. The major findings were a set of information needs covering road identification and condition, weather conditions, accessibility and traffic, maintenance policy, and sensor data. The results form a comprehensive information model for the further development of a cloud-based gravel road management system that would contribute to increased traffic safety and comfort, lower maintenance and management costs, and better decision-making abilities.

Blockchain-of-blockchains: An interoperable blockchain platform for ensuring IoT data integrity in smart city

We propose a hierarchical blockchain-based platform for ensuring the integrity of smart city Internet-of-Things (IoT) data and blockchain interoperability in this paper. The well-defined structural hierarchy of managing organizations in a smart city face several data management issues. The integration of emerging technologies, such as (IoT), has introduced more complexity to data maintenance in the smart city. At present, cloud-based information systems have become the norm for managing IoT data. Due to the centralized administrative control, the cloud-based information management is untrusted. Hence, it fails to guarantee the integrity of IoT data and traceability of operations to achieve transparency within the smart city organizations. Adoption of blockchain-based information systems can be viable solution to address these challenges. However, it introduces a new challenge of interoperability of transactions among different smart city organizations. In this paper, we introduce a decentralized hierarchy of blockchains, named Blockchain-of-Blockchains (BoBs), for ensuring data integrity and blockchain interoperability at the same time. We implement the proposed concept using Hyperledger Fabric and Ethermint as a proof-of-concept for evaluating the performance of the proposed concept.

Design and Implementation of a Smart Seawater Aquarium System Based on Artificial Intelligence of Things Technology

In recent years, single societies and aging societies around the worldwide increasingly seen the emerging problem of loneliness and the growing need for companionship. To satisfy the need, the population of pet keepers is growing, and the proportion of households with pets is increasing. It is normal to have pets at home. Pet fish are kept not only for companionship but also to relieve the stress accumulated throughout the day, and they can also improve the quality of life and health of older individuals. Having a pet can help reduce anxiety and increase food intake in people with medical conditions. This article proposes a smart seawater aquarium system based on the artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) technology to lower the knowledge threshold for keeping seahorses or other marine fish as pets. The proposed system provides seawater fish owners with safe and convenient feeding methods and more pet-friendly and user-friendly choices of interactive pet care and improves the comfort and survival rate of marine life in seawater aquariums. This smart seawater aquarium system can automatically or manually adjust water quality, water temperature, and oxygen content in water, change the water, feed fish, and monitor underwater fish in real time. It solves the problem of neglecting pet fish and the difficulty of maintaining seawater aquariums. Moreover, the proposed system incorporates a cloud-based information system and a web-based platform for data transmission and interface control, and it has achieved the purposes of remote and local monitoring of the aquarium.

Effect of cloud-based information systems on the agile development of industrial business process management

AbstractBusiness process management (BPM) has been the main driver behind company optimization and operational efficiency. However, the digitization era we live in necessitates that organizations be agile and adaptable. Delivering unprecedented rates of automation-fueled agility is necessary to be a part of this digital revolution. On the other hand, BPM automation cannot be done only by concentrating on procedure space and traditional planning methodologies. With the introduction of BPM, where the deployment of BPM with cloud computing has undergone enormous development lately, cloud computing has been considered a particularly active topic of study. Cloud computing points to the provision of dependable computing environments based on improved infrastructure availability and service quality without imposing a significant cost load. This research aims to discover the relationship between technical factors, financial factors, environmental factors, security of the cloud-based information systems, and the agile development of industrial BPM (IBPM). The present study aims to fill this gap and show how partial least squares structural equation modeling (SEM) can be employed in this field. Importance–performance map analysis (IPMA) evaluated the importance and performance of factors in the SEM. IPMA enables the identification of factors with relatively low performance but relatively high importance in shaping dependent variables. The empirical findings showed that four key factors (technical, financial, environmental, and security) positively influence the agile development of IBPM.

Exploring blockchain adoption intentions in the supply chain: perspectives from innovation diffusion and institutional theory

PurposeDespite blockchain's potential supply chain benefits, few organizations have moved beyond pilot projects. The paper aims to explore blockchain adoption intentions for supply chain applications using two theoretical perspectives: innovation diffusion theory (IDT) and institutional theory (IT).Design/methodology/approachBased on theory, five propositions were developed addressing the intention to adopt blockchain. The propositions were tested using scenario-based experiments with supply chain professionals. To provide additional insights, interviews with 21 supply chain professionals in 15 organizations representing 8 industries were content analyzed.FindingsExperiments suggest that the intention to adopt blockchain is higher when there are government regulations regarding product origin, organizations are using updated cloud-based information systems and organizations are working with third-party consultants. The content analysis suggests that organizations that face normative pressures to adopt blockchain supply chain applications and recognize blockchain's relative advantage, compatibility and complexity are more likely to be actively seeking information about and adopting blockchain supply chain applications. The authors synthesize findings and provide new propositions to guide future research.Originality/valueUsing a multi-method approach, the study provides an important window into supply chain managers' perceptions of the necessary conditions to support organization-level blockchain adoption. The findings also indicate key characteristics present in supply chain networks poised for blockchain adoption.

A formal pattern of information system design

A new design pattern intended for distributed cloud-based information systems is proposed. Pattern is based on the traditional client-server architecture. The server side is divided into three principal components: data storage, application server and cache server. Each component can be used to deploy parts of several independent information systems, thus realizing shared-resource approach. A strategy of separation of competencies between the client and the server is proposed. The strategy assumes that the client side is responsible for application logic and the server side is responsible for data storage consistency and data access control. Data protection is ensured by means of two particular approaches: at the entity level and at the transaction level. The application programming interface to access data is presented at the level of identified transaction descriptors.

Cloud Computing in Supply Chain Management and Economic, Environmental and Social Impact Analysis

Information and communication technology (ICT) has gained influence in supply chain management (SCM) in recent years. Supply chain management acts on operational processes, divergent and consolidated information flows and interaction processes with a variety of business partners. Considering all the well-known problems of these central information systems, the question arises whether cloud-based information systems are a better alternative to establish technological support for supply chain management and whether the effects from an economic, social and economic point of view. and environmental results have a positive impact. The aim of this research is to provide a better understanding of the overlap of supply chain management and cloud technology from an economic, environmental and social perspective.

Problems and Development Prospects of Public-Private Entrepreneurship

The presented study addresses the problems of interaction between the public (government) and private sectors in the process of social reproduction. Evolution of the mechanism, models, and forms of public-private entrepreneurship has led to the widespread use of public-private partnerships (PPP) based on the utilization of innovation and investment resources of the business to solve economic and social problems. Economic restructuring spurred by digitalization, the pandemic, the shifting balance of power in the world, departure from unilateralism, financialization of economies, and globalization of economic crises decrease the productivity of traditional economic regulation measures taken by the government. Thus, it becomes obvious that further development of public-private partnerships requires enhanced public monitoring using cloud-based information systems, together with updated legislation in this area and new management personnel. The government should encourage innovations in the development of public-private entrepreneurship forms and facilitate interaction with business structures in the context of national and local budget deficit. These measures will help to improve the rate and quality of economic growth in Russia and transition to the sixth wave of innovation. Aim. The study aims to show the genesis and mechanism of interaction between public authorities and business structures and its role in economic development; analyze major forms of public-private entrepreneurship; identify problems and propose recommendations for improving government-business interaction within the framework of public-private partnerships in the context of slower economic growth and the government’s limited ability to implement large-scale investment projects, including in the social sphere. Tasks. The authors analyze the development of public-private entrepreneurship in Russia and across the world, highlighting the features and models of such interaction; examine the legislative features and mechanisms of public-private entrepreneurship; identify problems and opportunities for the successful implementation of government-business interaction in the investment sphere of the Russian Federation. Methods. This study is based on the historical and logical approach, systems analysis, critical examination of scientific literature in relation to the adopted legislation, elements of complex analysis, modeling of interaction processes between public institutions and business structures. Results. The authors prove that by enhancing the interaction between business structures and the government through the development of public-private partnerships in the creation and operation of infrastructure, information technologies, and the social sphere, it will be possible to increase the rate of economic growth, to reduce the burden on the national budget in the context of economic stagnation and recession, and to secure the government’s obligations in the social sphere. The proposed recommendations for improving public-private entrepreneurship include improving the quality of the legal framework regulating the type of partnership, improving its information infrastructure, having a targeted strategy and tactics for the development of public-private entrepreneurship at the national, regional, and municipal level, as well as developing managerial competencies in the field of public-private entrepreneurship process management. Conclusions. The study substantiates the need to form and train efficient project teams, whose tasks should include competent support of a PPP project at all stages, from concept definition to implementation, and using the infrastructure mortgage principle and public control in public-private partnership.

Application of the modern information technologies for design and monitoring of business processes of transport and logistics system

The principles and functional diagram of the business processes of the transport and logistics system are presented in the article. Based on these, the use of modern information technologies for the design of business processes and their continuous monitoring is justified. The possibilities and areas of application of the computer assisted platform “AnyLogic” are illustrated. An example of designing of a distribution business process for transport using the cloud-based information system “AnyLogic” is shown.

Blockchain-based privacy-preserving remote data integrity checking scheme for IoT information systems

Remote data integrity checking is of great importance to the security of cloud-based information systems. Previous works generally assume a trusted third party to oversee the integrity of the outsourced data, which may be invalid in practice. In this paper, we utilize the blockchain to construct a novel privacy-preserving remote data integrity checking scheme for Internet of Things (IoT) information management systems without involving trusted third parties. Our scheme leverages the Lifted EC-ElGamal cryptosystem, bilinear pairing, and blockchain to support efficient public batch signature verifications and protect the security and data privacy of the IoT systems. The results of the experiment demonstrate the efficiency of our scheme.

Home-based HPV self-sampling assisted by a cloud-based electronic data system: Lessons learnt from a pilot community cervical cancer screening campaign in rural Ethiopia

Primary HPV testing and triage of HPV-positive women is an effective cervical cancer screening strategy. Such a multi-visit screening algorithm is also promising for community-based screening in resource-poor communities, provided a robust tracking system is in place.A cervical cancer screening campaign was conducted in a rural community in Ethiopia. All women aged 25–65 years were offered genital self-sampling using the Evalyn Brush®. Samples were HPV-DNA-tested at a central laboratory. Key indicators were captured on tablet computers and linked by a cloud-based information system. HPV-positive women were examined at the local clinic using portable colposcopy, p16/Ki-67 dual stain cytology and biopsy examination. CIN2+ women were referred for LEEP to the referral hospital.Of 749 enumerated age-eligible women 634 (85%, (95% CI 82–88)) consented to screening, 429 samples were adequate for HPV testing, giving a total testing coverage of 57% (95% CI 53–62). The hrHPV prevalence was 14% (95% CI 5–22), 72% (95% CI 60–84) attended the clinic for a triage examination. Home-based HPV-DNA self-sampling and clinic-based triage assisted by cloud-based information technology is feasible in rural Ethiopia. Key components of such strategy are broad community awareness, high competency of community workers, and establishment of an adequate self-sampling and HPV-DNA testing platform.

Real-time vehicles velocity monitoring and crossroads evaluation using rule-based RESTful maps API service

The vehicle velocity monitoring system is an important part of the transportation system. This system is used to conduct monitoring and evaluations so that the quality of the land transportation system can be improved. At present, there are many vehicle velocity monitoring systems. Unfortunately, most of these devices still have to be operated manually, some other devices may have been automated, but it still involves many devices that must be installed, so it is causing problems in installation, maintenance, and repair in the event of damage. In this research, we propose a rule-based cloud system, which monitors the average speed of vehicles passing on the roads that can be used to evaluate the traffic controller at crossroads using the Maps API-Service that accessed via RESTful web services. Longitude and latitude coordinates of the road are inputted into the Maps API-Service than results in distance and travel time data. This data is then developed into other information using the formula and rule-based method to measure the vehicle’s velocity and traffic controller performance. The result of this research produces a cloud-based information system that can measure vehicle velocity and performance of crossroads traffic controllers in real-time and automatically.

Design of a Cloud Based Information System for Education Institution using TOGAF ADM

Cloud computing technology allows a service to be accessed from anywhere and anytime through the internet network, this technology can be utilized for organisations to encourage standardisation of business processes for all business units. Muhammadyah as one of the largest education institution in Indonesia currently operates more than 5000 schools from elementary to high school. In general, all schools have similar business processes that are run manually and have almost identical information system requirements. This condition causes no data structure standardisation, no data consolidation between one school and another and the inconsistency of information system development. These problems become the rationale for designing an information technology architecture model using the concept of cloud computing. Based on the results of the analysis on current conditions and using the chosen TOGAF framework, a cloud computing-based information technology architecture model is produced. The information technology architecture consists of vision architecture, business architecture, application architecture, data architecture and technology architecture. Research is expected to contribute to educational institution in Indonesia, especially as a reference in designing information technology architecture.

Blockchain Network Model to Improve Supply Chain Visibility based on Smart Contract

Due to the increasing complexity of supply chains over the past years, many factors significantly contribute to lowering the supply chains performance. Poor visibility is one of the major challenging factors that lowers supply chains performance. This paper proposes a Blockchain-based supply chain network model to improve the supply chain visibility. The model focuses in improving the visibility measurements properties: information sharing, traceability, and inventory visibility. The proposed model consists of information sharing, traceability, and inventory visibility platforms based on Blockchain technology smart contract. The model built with Hyperledger platform and extend the Hyperledger Composer Supply Chain Network (HCSC) model. The research is designed to three main phases. First phase: the preliminary phase which is the literature review phase to identify the existing challenges in the domain. The second phase: the design and implementation phase which is the development steps of the proposed research model. The third phase: the evaluation phase which represent the performance evaluation of the proposed model and the comparisons between the proposed model and the existing models. In the evaluation performance, the common performance metrics Lead time and average inventory levels will be compared in the proposed model, Cloud-based information system, and the traditional supply chain. These proposed platforms offer an end-to-end visibility of products, orders, and stock levels for supply chain practitioners and customers within supply chain networks. Which helps managers’ access key information that support critical business decisions and offers essential criteria for competitiveness and therefore, enhance supply chain performance.

Determinant of using clouds based systems with dual factor theory approach

This research is the use of cloud-based regional information management system (IT) by applying existing theories. The purpose of this study is to investigate enablers and inhibitors including the dual factor theory of the use of cloud-based regional management information systems. This research directly empirical tests in Jember Regency, include: IT infrastructure problem variables on the perceived of usefulness, IT infrastructure problem variables on the perceived ease of use, IT infrastructure problem variables on the use of cloud-based regional management information systems, perceived usefulness of cloud-based regional management information systems and perceived ease of use of using regional management information systems cloud based. The sample selection technique in this study uses purposive sampling and data analysis uses multiple regression. The data that has been analyzed using smartPLS version 2. The results show, first the IT infrastructure problems negatively affect the perceived usefulness. Second, IT infrastructure problems negatively affect perceived ease of use. Third, IT infrastructure problems negatively affect the use of cloud-based regional information systems. Fourth, perceived usefulness has a positive effect on the use of cloud-based regional information systems. Fifth, the perceived ease of use for the use of cloud-based regional information systems.
