Contrast Media in Children: Ten Important Concepts on Administration, Applications, Complications, and Environmental Considerations, From the AJR Special Series on Contrast Media.

Contrast media are an indispensable adjunct to pediatric imaging. The most common include iodine-based contrast media for CT and fluoroscopy, gadolinium-based contrast media and iron-oxide nanoparticles for MRI, and microbubbles for ultrasound. Although many of the considerations in the routine use of contrast media in infants and children (relating for example to renal function, allergic-like reactions, GBCM deposition, and extravasations) are similar to considerations in adult patients, some important differences exist. These variances are often age-dependent and require an appreciation of pediatric physiology for safe and effective clinical practice. This article highlights ten concepts relating to contrast media administration for diagnostic imaging in children that are important for radiologists and pediatricians to recognize and understand. We present contrast media classes and their use in children, discuss safety concerns and complications, and explore environmental impacts.

Development of Animation Video Learning Media to Improve Class XI Science Students’ Understanding

This research and development (R&D) aim to produce valid, practical and effective animated video learning media. The research subjects are divided into two parts, namely the first part of the product design validation subject or expert test conducted by 2 material experts and 1 media expert and the second part of the product trial subject conducted by testing the learning media in class XI IPA 3 and 2 class XI teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Gowa as observers. This learning media has been validated, has been tested limitedly and revised. The results of this study are: (1) validation by media experts of 3.4 with very valid criteria and (2) validation by material experts of 3.79 with very valid criteria. Animated video media based on the implementation test, teacher and student responses with an average percentage score of 88%, 86.11% and 86% respectively. For animated video media, the effectiveness criteria are in the very high category, with student learning outcomes meeting the effective criteria (≥80%), where the class completion percentage is 88.8%. Animated video learning media developed using the ADDIE model is suitable (valid, practical and effective) for use in learning.

Learning is a process of implementing actions that involve interactions between teachers and students, along with reciprocal communication that occurs in the context of education to achieve learning goals. Manifested in government regulations, namely Government Regulation Number 57 of 2021 concerning National Education Standards which was amended by Government Regulation No. 4 of 2022, it is stated that process standards are minimum guidelines in implementing the education system in all regions subject to the laws of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. This is also reinforced by Permendikbud Ristek No. 16 of 2022 in Chapter I article 1 which discusses process standards. The article describes process standards referring to the minimum criteria of the learning process that apply to various paths, levels of education, and types with the aim of achieving graduate competency standards. The objectives of the study include (1) to determine how the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model improves student learning outcomes with the help of Canva on the material of being critical and responsible towards mass media in class X of SMA Negeri 2 Temanggung, (2) to determine the application of the use of Canva in exploring the learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 2 Temanggung on the material of being critical and responsible towards mass media. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and tests. The data analysis techniques used consisted of data reduction by selecting raw data into information, data presentation, namely presenting data in the form of descriptions, graphs, tables and drawing conclusions by making conclusions from research results that refer to the formulation of the problem. The use of the Problem Based Learning model according to the syntax which includes student orientation to the problem, organizing students to learn, guiding individual and group investigations, developing and presenting results, analyzing and evaluating the problem-solving process, is effective in helping to improve learning outcomes and critical reasoning of students on the material of being critical and responsible towards mass media.

PENGARUH PENERAPAN MEDIA DIORAMA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPAS KELAS IV SDN GIRILINTANG

This research was conducted to determine the effect of applying diorama media on students' critical thinking skills in grade IV science learning at SDN Girilintang. This type of research is an experimental research method with a one group pretest posttest design. Respondents In this study, the respondents were 20 class IV students at SDN Girilintang. Research instruments include t-test and rubric sheet. Sampling was carried out using saturated sampling, namely a sampling technique where members of the population are used as samples. The data analysis technique used is the paired sample test, which has previously been tested for normality and homogeneity. From the results of this research, a paired sample test of critical thinking ability was obtained by students before and after using diorama media with a sig value of 0.000. Where 0.001 < 0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, the result is that there is a difference in students' critical thinking abilities in science learning using diorama media in class IV students at SDN Girilintang. It can be concluded that this research using diorama media can influence thinking abilities. students' critical thinking in science learning.

MENANAMKAN NILAI-NILAI RELIGIUS TERHADAP ANAK USIA DINI MELALUI MEDIA CARDSORT KELAS B TK PKK 1 BANJARSARI

This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method with a phenomenological approach to examine “Instilling Religious Values in Early Childhood Through Card Sort Media in Class B TK PKK 1 Banjarsari” taken from TK PKK 1 Banjarsari North Metro, with 57 students in two classes: B1 with 30 students and B2 with 27 students. Data collection methods used by the researcher include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in qualitative research is the process of systematically collecting and organizing data obtained from interviews, field notes (observations), and other materials so that they can be easily understood, and the findings can generate accurate information. The data analysis method used is the qualitative model by Milles and Huberman. Based on the research on religious values (moral values and faith values), the results showed that the average moral value was 83.5, and the average faith value was 86.5. It can be concluded that Card Sort media contributes to an improvement in religious values. Through instilling religious values using Card Sort media in Class B TK PKK 1 Banjarsari North Metro, children began to change their behavior, such as praying before and after tasks, maintaining respectful speech towards peers and teachers, sitting while eating and drinking outside of break times. Additionally, the observation results in this study show that implementing Card Sort media in instilling religious values at TK PKK 1 Banjarsari North Metro plays a crucial role as it can be applied in the learning process with various methods.

Implementasi Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam melalui Media Sosial Youtube di Kelas IV SDI Alexandria Kota Tangerang

The use of YouTube Social Media is a new thing in learning Islamic Religious Education at SDI Alexandria Tangerang City. The implementation of YouTube Social Media on the material Aku anak Saleh is expected to be able to make students reflect the attitude of Saleh in their daily activities. This study aims to determine how the implementation of Islamic Religious Education Learning through YouTube Social Media in Class IV SDI Alexandria. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods using data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations and documentation studies. Data validity checks using triangulation. Data were analyzed through the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Interviews were conducted with an Islamic Religious Education teacher and 5 class IV students. The results of this research are that the implementation of Islamic Religious Education Learning via YouTube Social Media in class IV SDI Alexandria is said to be effective and improves students' ability to understand the material of I'm Saleh's Child in accordance with the research focus.

Combating deepfakes: a comprehensive multilayer deepfake video detection framework

Deepfakes represent a class of synthetic media crafted with the aid of advanced deep learning techniques that exhibit an unparalleled degree of authenticity. The rapid advancement in Artificial Intelligence (AI) has contributed to an increase in the prevalence of deepfakes on the internet, consequently amplifying the spread of misinformation among the public. Consequently, the detection of deepfakes has become a pressing concern. In this context, we put forth a comprehensive framework for deepfake video detection, which is built upon three distinct layers. The first layer, termed as the RGB features extraction layer, is designed to identify potential signs of forgery within the spatial domain of analogous video frames. The second layer, known as the GAN features extraction layer, focuses on the extraction of forgery fingerprints in the high-frequency region. This layer is specifically engineered to detect the fingerprints left by the Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) process in fake videos and the traces of the imaging process in genuine videos. The third and final layer, referred to as the facial region intra-frame inconsistency feature extraction layer, is dedicated to uncovering the anomalies associated with the manipulation process. This is achieved by extracting features from both the inner and outer regions of the manipulated portion of a frame. The extensive experimental evaluations have underscored the superior performance of proposed approach in comparison to existing state-of-the-art methods.

Ray-transfer matrix for GRIN lenses: application to the crystalline lens

We present a Hamiltonian optics approach to determine the paraxial propagation of rays in gradient-index (GRIN) media. A derivation of the evolution equation for the corresponding ray-transfer matrix is given. An analytical solution can be found for a certain class of GRIN media. The proposed matrix is shown to be a generalization of the well-known matrices for planar and cylindrical GRIN lenses. We provide the accuracy results when applying our analytical method to arbitrary refractive indices and verify its validity by comparing it to other matrices in the literature with satisfactory results.

Stochastic homogenization of nonconvex viscous Hamilton-Jacobi equations in one space dimension

We prove homogenization for viscous Hamilton-Jacobi equations with a Hamiltonian of the form G ( p ) + V ( x , ω ) for a wide class of stationary ergodic random media in one space dimension. The momentum part G(p) of the Hamiltonian is a general (nonconvex) continuous function with superlinear growth at infinity, and the potential V ( x , ω ) is bounded and Lipschitz continuous. The class of random media we consider is defined by an explicit hill and valley condition on the diffusivity-potential pair which is fulfilled as long as the environment is not “rigid”.

Wordwall Media in Learning Pancasila Education on Learning Outcomes and Learning Motivation for Fifth Grade Elementary School Students

The current problem is that learning activities must be aligned with the desired learning outcomes. Some activities do not use digital learning media, so students need learning assistance. Based on this, this research aims to test the effectiveness of word wall media in class V elementary school on student motivation and learning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative research. The design used in this research was quasi-experimental, with a sample of 59 class V students consisting of 27 control class students and 32 experimental class students taken using random sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out by researchers using test techniques, questionnaires, and documentation in the control class and experimental class. The data collection instrument is in the form of test questions. Hypothesis testing in this research starts by testing the prerequisites for analysis with normality and homogeneity tests. After fulfilling the requirements, proceed with the Independent and One Sample T Test. The research results show differences in student learning outcomes after implementing word wall media in learning Pancasila education material. It was concluded that wordwall media effectively improved learning outcomes and motivation for fifth-grade elementary school students. The research implies that the application of Wordwall media can help overcome student learning problems and improve student learning outcomes.

PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOFTWARE GEOGEBRA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN REPRESENTASI MATEMATIS SISWA SMA

Mathematical representation ability is an important ability in understanding mathematical concepts as an effort to obtain clarity of meaning and understanding in solving problems. Technology-based learning media can simplify the learning process thereby helping students in representing mathematical problems. This research aims to determine the increase in students' mathematical representation abilities using Geogebra software. This research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental type. The population is students of class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 1 Lhoong Aceh Besar for the 2023/2024 academic year consisting of 2 classes totaling 60 people. There are 30 people in Class XI MIPA 1 as an experimental class with the Geogebra software learning media, and 30 people in XI MIPA 2 as a control class without the Geogebra program learning media. The data collection technique in this research is using Pretest and Posttest. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques used in this research are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in students' mathematical representation abilities who were taught using Geogebra software media in class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Lhoong. Most students answered the questions according to indicators of mathematical representation ability in the form of visual, symbolic and verbal representations.

Preleminary Study: Need Analysis for Research and Development of Automatic Sprinkling System based on Arduino and Soil Moisture Sensor as The Instructional Aids in Soil Moisture Measurement

Instructional aids will made student easier to understanding and applying physics concepts. This study aims to obtain data and analyze the student’s needs toward to the instructional ais soil moisture measurement in physics lesson. Samples in study were student of 33 peoples, taken from class XH at SMAN 71 Jakarta with technique purposive sampling. This study resulted: physics learning motivation of student are in the medium category, with attention 87.88%, relevance 55.30%, confidence 60.61% and satisfaction 87.12%. Curriculum analysis show in class X, measurement lesson still can be developed to soil moisture measurement based on contextual learning approach. Based on style learning, 4,48% students who have visual learning style, auditory 24.24% and kinesthetic 27.27%. A total of 59.85% students experience difficulty in learning physics. As many as 79.55% of students agree that hands on method in learning can reduce difficulty in learning physics. As many as 87.12% of students agree that they need automated instrument in physics practice and only 39.39% of students has known about Arduino. The frequently used learning media in class were on audio-visual category, starting from power point slide presentation, Canva’s slides presentation, video, simulation and animation. All of those findings were supported research and development of oto-sprinkler system by using humidity sensor and Arduino Uno. Result of this study will become the base contextual in developing contextual teaching aids in form of soil moisture measurement, so that can increase the physics learning motivation in student.

PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENYIMAK CERITA MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PAIRED STORYTELLING BERBANTUAN MEDIA WAYANG PADA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

The aim of this research is to use story listening skills using a paired storytelling learning model assisted by wayang media in Class IV at SDN Bekasi Jaya I Bekasi City. Classroom Action research or PTK approach was established in constructing this study. The kemmis model is also Mc. Taggart which includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages with the subject of 31 students was applied as the research design. In collecting data, observation and documentation methods were applied using descriptive data analysis, including qualitative and quantitative. The study findings illustrate that story listening skills using the paired storytelling learning model assisted by wayang media are increasing, namely in cycle I by 73.8%, then in cycle II it has increased by 90.7%. Thus, the findings from the research are that the application of the paired storytelling model which utilizes wayang media has a positive effect on the development of narrative listening skills which also increases the learning participation of students in Class IV at SDN Bekasi Jaya I Bekasi City.

PENGEMBANGAN E-BOOK “NADA BUKHU” (Nabi Adam Dan Buah Khuldi) Berbasis Web Pada Pembelajaran PAI Kelas 1 SD di SDN Karapyak I Sumedang

In this era of technological progress, of course, its use cannot be avoided both in daily activities and learning activities. With the development of the web-based e-book learning media "NADA BUKHU" (Prophet Adam and the Fruit of Khuldi), it can be used as a preference in teaching and learning activities. Based on the results of research on grade 1 students at SD Negeri Karapyak 1, Sumedang. The results showed that student's ability to understand the material could increase, as well as make students focus their attention on the material due to the attractive designs and images. The aim of creating and developing the e-book learning media "NADA BUKHU" is to help teachers and students make learning activities more effective and make the classroom atmosphere conducive and interactive. The method used in developing this media is Design and Development (D&D) and the research results use descriptive qualitative. The results of this research are 1) students are helped in understanding the material, 2) practice questions in interactive e-books, 3) the appearance of e-books is attractive to students, 4) students are active when using learning media in class. The implications of this research activity include: 1) increasing the accessibility of learning materials, 2) utilizing technology in learning activities, 3) providing support for thematic teaching in elementary schools. 4) foster the development of digital literacy and technological competence. 5) carry out evaluation activities on improving learning content.

Penerapan Media Cerita Bergambar Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Pemahaman Pada Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia

This research aims to improve reading comprehension skills using picture story media in class III students. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is designed to help teachers find and solve problems during the classroom learning process. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles, with research subjects consisting of 33 class III students. Data collection techniques are observation and tests. The data analysis technique uses quantitative data analysis. The results of research using picture story media for two cycles, the average value of the test results has increased. In cycle I, the first meeting achieved a score of 57% and in the second meeting 63% with the category not yet reaching the KKM and in cycle II there was an increase. The score at the first meeting was 69% and at the second meeting it increased by 100%. This shows that improving reading comprehension skills using picture story media in Indonesian language subjects can be applied further to improve student learning achievement.

Aggregation in Deep Eutectic Solvents (DESs): Formation of Polar DES-in-Nonpolar DES Microemulsions.

The versatility of environmentally benign and inexpensive deep eutectic solvents (DESs) lies in their widely varying physicochemical properties. Depending on its constituents, a DES may be highly polar or nonpolar in nature. This offers an enticing possibility of formation of novel nonaqueous microemulsions (MEs). Evidence of the presence of polar DES-in-nonpolar DES MEs is presented with reline (formed by mixing choline chloride and urea in 1 : 2 mol ratio) as the polar DES forming the ME pools, Thy : DA [formed by mixing thymol (Thy) and n-decanoic acid (DA) in 1 : 1 mol ratio] nonpolar DES as the bulk oil phase and nonionic surfactant Brij-35 as the emulsifying agent. While only sparingly miscible in Thy : DA, as high as 2.5 M reline can be solubilized in this DES in the presence of 100 mM Brij-35; reline loading (w Rel = [reline]/[Brij-35]) as high as 25 can be achieved. The ternary phase diagram of the Thy : DA/Brij-35/reline system reveals a clear and transparent single-phase region where MEs may be forming. Dynamic light scattering confirms the presence of MEs of 2-10 nm size. Even as up to 2.5 M (ca. 0.35 mole fraction) reline, whose dynamic viscosity (η) and electrical conductivity (κ) are very high, is added to 100 mM Brij-35 solution of Thy : DA, the η and κ values of the solution increase insignificantly, thus conforming to the formation of MEs in the solution. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) absorbance spectra and fluorescence probe responses further indicate that reline is not dispersed in the medium but rather forms polar pools of the MEs. These novel nonaqueous polar DES-in-nonpolar DES MEs will not only expand the application potential of DESs but also offer a new class of organized media with widespread potential.

Application of Digital Literacy-Based Learning Media to Improve Students' Understanding of Concepts in Social Sciences Subjects

This research aims to increase students' understanding of concepts in Social Sciences (IPS) subjects through the application of digital literacy-based learning media in class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Belo. The research background shows that social studies learning is still centred on teachers with students who tend to be passive, resulting in a lack of understanding of the material, especially those that require memorization. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) with research subjects of 29 students. This research involved two cycles of action with results showing a significant increase in students' conceptual understanding after implementing digital literacy-based learning media. In cycle I, action I, only 41.93% of students completed it, but this increased to 100% in cycle II, action II. The average student score also increased from 52.19 before the research to 82.52 after the research. The results of this research show that digital literacy-based learning media is effective in increasing students' conceptual understanding and can be applied not only to social studies subjects but also to other subjects at various levels of education.

Meningkatkan Minat Belajar Tari Kreasi Manuk Dadali Melalui Penggunaan Media Audiovisual pada Siswa Kelas VI di SDN 1 Cibeber Kecamatan Cikalong Kabupaten Tasikmalaya

This research aims to describe the planning for increasing interest in learning, implementation of increasing interest in learning, and increasing student’s interest in learning in Arts, Culture and Crafts learning after using audiovisual media in class VI SDN I Cibeber, Cikalong District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The type of research used in Classroom Action Research using audiovisual media. Learning is carried out through two cycles. The object of research is the application of audiovisual dance media created by Manuk Dadali with the research subjects, namely 15 class VI students at SDN 1 Cibeber Cikalong District Tasikmalaya Regency. Data was collected using observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The result of the research after the use of audiovisual showed an increase in student’s interest in learning the dance art Manuk Dadali.
