To our knowledge, there has been no review of these experiences which would serve as a touchstone to others who encounter such gestation.Porphyria is more commonly thought of and detected today in clinical medicine. Complicating circumstances such as pregnancy will be seen more frequently. Problems arise in its management which cannot be solved solely on a physiologic basis, since the nature of the interplay between the fetal and maternal factors is unknown.
