In the context of the accelerated development of the world economy, carbon emission control and sustainable development have become the common goals of all countries in the world. There is plenty of room for growth and promising futures for the rapidly expanding new energy automotive sector. Being a pioneer in the world of new energy cars, Tesla's strategic policy and successful experience can help other new energy companies in China develop better. This paper uses Porter's Five Forces Model and Swot analysis to specifically analyze Tesla's strategic positioning and marketing strategy. Reasonable suggestions are put forward for the future strategic choices of Chinese new energy vehicle enterprises, which is also enlightening in certain ways regarding the growth of China's new energy car sector. Also, with the strategic decisions of enterprises, as well as the experience that Chinese automobile enterprises can learn from, corporations can gain competitive advantages in the future Chinese new energy vehicle market.

Assessment of Enterprise Life Cycle Based on Two-Stage Logistic Model: Exemplified by China’s Automobile Manufacturing Enterprises

Enterprises in socio-economic ecosystems, like organisms in natural ecosystems, have life cycles. Since the enterprise life cycle theory was proposed, how to measure the enterprise life cycle has been a hot research topic. In order to assess the life cycle of an enterprise, a two-stage logistic model was proposed in this research, based on ecological theory and a population dynamics model. The first-stage logistic model measures the internal inhibition coefficient, intrinsic growth rate, and theoretical upper limit of enterprise development scale. The second-stage logistic model deals with the theoretical upper limit of enterprise development scale in the declining period, and measures the intrinsic growth rate, internal inhibition coefficient, and the theoretical upper limit of enterprise development scale in the declining period. In this study, an empirical analysis is conducted with Chinese automobile enterprises, which shows that an enterprise should withdraw from the market by insolvency liquidation or restructuring when both the intrinsic growth rate and internal inhibition coefficient are less than zero. Finally, this paper proposes the evaluation matrix of intrinsic growth and market potential. This matrix can intuitively give the evaluation method of the enterprise life cycle.

Innovation Trends of the Chinese Automotive Companies in 2022

Although China ranks first in global production and sales, there is still a gap between the innovation level of the Chinese automobile industry and its potential automobile power. China has to make more efforts to become global-scale leader in the automotive industry. Automotive industry means an industry with high capital, technology intensive and strong industrial relevance. It can not only promote direct and indirect employment and at the same provide tangible contribution to regional GDP production leading remarkable social and economic impacts. With the rapid development of China's automobile industry, it is bound to take the road of autonomy and internationalization, but the global open market and the competition of automobile giants will inevitably bring great challenges to this sector. International leading Chinese automobile enterprises can dominate the global automobile market but to what extend mainly depends on their continuous innovation ability to obtain technical advantages, and then form a strong core competitiveness combined with their resource advantages, brand influence and first mover advantage. In order to survive in the strong market competition and develop sustainably, Chinese automobile enterprises have also improve their innovation ability. Innovation is a complex system engineering. It is a process to form the final product and meet the market demand through systematic market analysis, preliminary research, product planning, development and design, test and trial production. The different ways of combination and configuration of these elements and their structures constitute different modes of innovation. After half a century of development, China's automobile industry has formed a development path with distinctive Chinese characteristics from introduction to independent innovation. Modern enterprise product innovation is a market-oriented system engineering based on the overall concept of products. From the perspective of a single project, product innovation manifested in the breakthrough and improvement of the quality of a technical and economic parameter of the product, including the development of new products and the improvement of old products complemented by minimizing the costs of production exploiting the existing capacities much better. From the overall investigation, product innovation runs through the whole process of product conception, design, trial production and marketing. It is a three-dimensional combined innovation of functional innovation, form innovation and service innovation. In such an external environment, it is particularly important to carefully analyse the problems, advantages and disadvantages of China's automobile industry innovation and choose the correct strategic model, which is the main focal point of this review paper.

Environmental improvement or industry enhancement? A case study on the impact of environmental regulations on Chinese automobile industry

Developing countries are encouraged to pursue environmental protection and industrial development simultaneously, although it is a big challenge to reach win-win situation. This study explored the relationship between environmental regulations and the industry enhancement in developing countries through conducting an empirical analysis of the impact of environmental regulations on Chinese automobile industry. In the empirical analysis, a total of 64 Chinese automobile enterprises were investigated, the Malmquist index of total factor productivity was adopted to determine the productivity of Chinese automobiles, and the two-step system Generalised Method of Moments (GMM) estimation was used for the regression analysis. The results showed that environmental regulations negatively affected the productivity and technology of Chinese automobile industry during 2004–2018. The production cost of automobile industry in China was rising sharply, and the productivity and technological progress of Chinese automobile industry were impeded significantly. The case of Chinese automobile industry illustrated that strict environmental requirements can negatively impact industry productivity by increasing production costs and squeezing industry profits.

BYD Value Evaluation

BYD, a Chinese car brand founded in 1995, initially started with only 20 people. But until 2003, it had grown into the second largest rechargeable battery manufacturer in the world and established the BYD Motor Company in the same year. Its main production businesses include business cars and family cars. Because BYD is a new type of car company that starts late and has a lower starting point, it mainly takes the production of low end household small car as its main business. So most of the domestic consumers have been positioning BYD as the low end market. However, BYD has been developing in the high-end market of the mid end market and electric vehicle in the past two years, with low starting point but rapid development. BYD has transformed from an ordinary domestic automobile enterprise into a global electric electric giant. Electric vehicles and buses are exported to more than 170 countries and regions around the world. And more than 20 production bases have been established in the world, with a total area of more than 16 million square meters and about 200 thousand employees. The development of BYD has made us see the rapid development of Chinese economy and Chinese automobile enterprises. The share of domestic automobile in the global automobile market has gradually become bigger. At present, most of the consumers in China lack the scientific and effective evaluation of "BYD". This article is aimed at calculating the value of BYD by the way of value evaluation, and using scientific methods to tell consumers the value and status of BYD.

The Role of Cynicism and Personal Traits in the Organizational Political Climate and Sustainable Creativity

Innovation, as the key concern of sustainable human resource management, is one of the motivators of the sustainable development of organizations. However, past literature believes that innovation may be hindered by the organizational political climate. Based on the self-determination theory, this study proposes a new perspective to transfer the effect of this climate on innovation through the mediating role of cynicism and the moderating role of personal trait regulatory focus. Findings from 341 seven-point Likert survey questionnaires of employees in a Chinese automobile enterprise revealed that: first, the organizational political climate (expect interpersonal relationships) negatively predicted radical creativity and incremental creativity; second, organizational cynicism mediates the negative relationship between the organizational political climate and radical creativity and incremental creativity; third, the mediating effect of the organizational cynicism relationship between the organizational political climate and dualistic creativity could be affected by the personal trait regulatory focus. This study fills the gap in the relationship between organizational political climate and innovation. Additionally, this study proposes several suggestions for the practitioners and further research.

In recently years, affected by the international and domestic economic environment, Chinese automobile enterprises get really perfect time to implement cross-border mergers and acquisitions, so we can see that some Chinese automobile enterprises have already done it. At the same time we should also know there are lots of risks and problems in the process of transnational M&A, Such as political barriers, legal barriers and cultural conflicts and so on, which often do not make ideal results when they implement the M&A. At beginning of this paper will talk about the environment of Chinese automobile enterprises transnational M&A. And then on the basis of analyzing the current situation and problems of Chinese automobile enterprises transnational M&A, this paper will put forward some suggests which are appropriate for Chinese automobile enterprises.

Fuzzy VRIO and SWOT Analysis of Chery Automobile

The Chinese market is indispensable for international automobile enterprises and they are expanding their investment in this market accordingly. To escalate their market share in China, automobile manufacturers and independent automotive enterprises have implemented a series of management strategies. Consequently, competition in China is becoming increasingly intense. Conversely, Chinese automobile enterprises have no international brand recognition. In this paper, an independent automobile enterprise, Chery Automobile Co. Ltd., is selected as a case study and examined using the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) method. Moreover, we analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of the company’s internal environment using a fuzzy VRIO (Value, Rarity, Immutability and Organization) method. Applying the fuzzy theory to an analysis of the management environment can facilitate more effective strategy formulations. It is expected that the application of fuzzy theory to management methods will contribute to the future development of the Chinese automobile industry. The competitive advantages to Chery are illustrated by the fuzzy VRIO analysis.

Critical chain and evidence reasoning applied to multi-project resource schedule in automobile R&D process

To solve the multi-project resource schedule problem in automobile Research and Development (R&D) process, this paper proposes a multi-project schedule method on the basis of task priority, evidence reasoning (ER) and critical chain (CC) approach. The method is composed of a decision model, an organization model and two axioms. The author applied this method to a simple case of the R&D process of a Chinese automobile enterprise and compared the results of the proposed method with the critical chain project management (CCPM) based on project priority. As a result, the new method based on task priority, CCPM and ER is proven to be good at solving resource conflict problem in a real multi-project environment and performs better than the CCPM based on project priority.

Based on the status analysis of automobile manufacturing development, this paper adopts the fundamental principles of symbiosis theory to dissect the symbiotic relationship between Chinese automobile manufacturing enterprises and small and medium-sized supporting enterprises and demonstrate its symbiotic form in detail, referred to enterprise network, and thus put forward the symbiotic mode suited for Chinese automobile manufacturing enterprises and small and medium-sized supporting enterprises.

Empirical analysis on Chinese self-brand automobile enterprises' competitive advantage

Nowadays, China has become the third largest automaker country in the world. But the quantitative research on Chinese automobile enterprises' competitive advantage is not enough. In this paper, we evaluate the competitive advantage of Chinese self-brand automobile enterprises by using AHP model and OLS, and analyse the relationship between the performance and R&D, scale, operational efficiency, and export feature. The results indicate that there is non-equilibrium among the scale, operational efficiency, R&D, innovation performance, growth potential and export feature of Chinese self-brand automobile enterprise; the advantages of passenger car and special colonies are scale, operational efficiency, innovation performance and export feature, but their disadvantage is insufficient growth potential. There is polarisation in commercial vehicles; automobile enterprises that product truck and bus have superior competitive advantage, but the disadvantage is low R&D investment and operational efficiency. Automobile enterprises that only product truck or bus have small scale and low innovation performance. As for leading automobile enterprises, the new automobile enterprises show superior competitive advantage through comparing them to the traditional ones.

Based on extensive investigation of automobile manufacture enterprises for these problems that exist in the process of implementing lean production and the basic principle of lean production,a lean production system model that consists of behavior criterion,leadership,worker training,work group,total production maintenance,manufacturing engineering,in-station process control,industrial logistics,synchronization logistics,safety,environment and quality operation system is designed for Chinese automobile enterprises. Meanwhile the system file structure,implementation model and evaluation model of lean production system are designed to guarantee this lean production system model effectively implementing,tracking and evaluating the effect. Finally,it is proved that this model is feasible through practical application in automobile enterprises.
