Applying the Psychological of Space in Islamic Boarding School (Case Study: Pesantren Al Mahshyar Nurul Iman)

Adolescents have different psychological conditions and spend a lot of time in boarding schools because they must live in Islamic boarding schools where many rules and activities must be followed. The research method used in this case study is a qualitative method which consists of a survey, literature review, and data analysis. A spatial approach is taken to "read" the user of space in understanding the spaces that trigger negative psychological conditions. Negative psychological conditions were understood through interviews and literature studies. The Pesantren Al Mahsyar Nurul Iman case study has students aged 12-15 years. At the Pesantren Al Mahsyar Nurul Iman, it is necessary to pay attention to things that are based on the character and psychology of the students to create a calming, comfortable and safe environment for students who are experiencing cognitive development and changes in psychological conditions, so that students can feel at home and become more comfortable which can be taken into consideration in the design of the next pesantren. These conditions can be done by paying attention to the privacy area, creating stimulant and calming visual concepts and adding facilities to study rooms and communal areas to support the character of students who like to explore and do group activities.

ANALISIS KEADAAN PSIKIS WANITA LANJUT USIA DI PANTI JUMPO " JOYAH UKEN" KECAMATAN BEBESEN KABUPATEN ACEH TENGAH

Elderly is a period in the final stage in a person's life. Life in old age or the elderly is vulnerable to changes in psychological conditions. However, in this current study, the researchers focused more on the psychological state of elderly women in terms of the types of "senility and depression" experienced by elderly women at the Joyah Uken Jumpo Home, Bebesen District, Central Aceh District. the purpose of this research is to find out how the psychological condition of elderly women in nursing homes. This study used an equal method, relying on interviews and direct observation by researchers at the Joyah Uken Jumpo Orphanage. and the subject of this research is the researcher himself, and the research object is the elderly women who are in the "joyah uken" jumpo home. The results showed that the psychological condition of elderly women in the joyah uken jumpo home was quite good, but there were several elderly women who experienced psychological disorders in elderly women in joyah, while the solutions and services provided by the puskesmas were therapy, posbindu, gymnastics for the elderly a month twice at the Joyah Uken Jumpo Home, Bebesen District, Central Aceh District

Infant temperament with anxiety postpartum mothers in primary health care Sleman, Indonesia

Introduction: Changes in psychological conditions after childbirth often occur, one of which is anxiety. During the postpartum period, anxiety is a common disorder that occurs in as many as 30% of women, with at least one episode of anxiety in their lifetime. Anxiety in postpartum mothers is caused by the infant, who has an easy or difficult temperament. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between infant temperament and anxiety in postpartum mothers in ​​the Sleman Yogyakarta Public Health Center. Methods: This type of research is a non-experimental quantitative with a cross-sectional approach involving 80 samples of postpartum mothers aged up to the first six weeks in the Sleman Yogyakarta Public Health Center. Sampling with a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were the Infant Characteristics Questionnaire (ICQ) and the Hamilton Anxiety Rate Scale (HARS). The statistical test used in this research is Chi-Square. Results: Most infant temperaments were easy (68.8%) and mild postpartum anxiety (50%). Statistical test results show a p-value of 0.001. Conclusion: An infant's temperament influences anxiety in postpartum mothers. Nurses must improve the quality of maternity nursing care services through education and early detection to prevent postpartum anxiety.

Hubungan Dukungan Suami Dengan Kejadian Post Partum Blues Di Wilayah Perkotaan

Post partum is the period after giving birth to the recovery of the uterus and female organs which is generally accompanied by the discharge of postpartum blood.The length of the post partum period is around 6-8 weeks. In addition to body changes, the post partum period will also result in changes in psychological conditions. Research Objectives To determine the relationship between husband's support and the incidence of post partum blues in urban areas. The research method used was analytic survey research design and cross sectional approach. The number of samples is 40 people. Sampling using a support questionnaire. The results of the analysis of the relationship between the two variables above by using the chi-square statistical test obtained the significance of the relationship between the two variables is p = 0.000, p = 0.000 <α 0.05, this means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, so there is a relationship. husband's support with the incidence of post partum blues in urban areas. Suggestion Can provide health education and education to postpartum mothers by presenting a husband as a companion to the mother so that the risk of post partum blues can be better prevented.

The Impact of COVID-19 Epidemic Declaration on Psychological Consequences: A Study on Active Weibo Users.

COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease 2019) has significantly resulted in a large number of psychological consequences. The aim of this study is to explore the impacts of COVID-19 on people’s mental health, to assist policy makers to develop actionable policies, and help clinical practitioners (e.g., social workers, psychiatrists, and psychologists) provide timely services to affected populations. We sample and analyze the Weibo posts from 17,865 active Weibo users using the approach of Online Ecological Recognition (OER) based on several machine-learning predictive models. We calculated word frequency, scores of emotional indicators (e.g., anxiety, depression, indignation, and Oxford happiness) and cognitive indicators (e.g., social risk judgment and life satisfaction) from the collected data. The sentiment analysis and the paired sample t-test were performed to examine the differences in the same group before and after the declaration of COVID-19 on 20 January, 2020. The results showed that negative emotions (e.g., anxiety, depression and indignation) and sensitivity to social risks increased, while the scores of positive emotions (e.g., Oxford happiness) and life satisfaction decreased. People were concerned more about their health and family, while less about leisure and friends. The results contribute to the knowledge gaps of short-term individual changes in psychological conditions after the outbreak. It may provide references for policy makers to plan and fight against COVID-19 effectively by improving stability of popular feelings and urgently prepare clinical practitioners to deliver corresponding therapy foundations for the risk groups and affected people.

Studi Fenomenologi: Pengalaman Keluarga Merawat Penderita Pasca Stroke di Kota Jambi Tahun 2019

Stroke has a negative impact on families who provide care for post-stroke patients, the effect of which is due to functional deficits experienced by post-stroke sufferers which result in dependence on families for daily activities. The research objective was to explore in depth the experiences of families caring for post-stroke sufferers in Jambi city in 2019. This study used a qualitative method with a descriptive phenomenology approach. Participants in this study amounted to nine people who were selected using purposive sampling. Data is collected by semi-structured interview in duration of 60-90 minutes. Data analysis using the colaizzi method. The results found four themes, namely: dependence on daily activities on the family, family efforts to fulfill self-care activities, constraints faced by caregivers and family expectations. Conclusion: Families experience limited knowledge and skills, difficulties in meeting patients' ADLs, changes in physical conditions, changes in rest and sleep, changes in psychological conditions, changes in social activities, and economic changes. Therefore families need to get education from doctors, nurses and stroke team members starting from the time the patient is admitted to the hospital and re-evaluated when the patient is going home, about the knowledge and skills to treat post-stroke patients at home.

Effect of Bariatric Surgery on Psychosomatic Condition and Quality of Life of Patients with Morbid Obesity: A Study at Dr. RMLIMS, Lucknow

Bariatric surgery results in significant weight loss, improvement or cure of accompanying illnesses, and may lead to important changes in psychological conditions. The aim of this paper is to study the changes in the psychological and emotional lives of patients as well as quality of life during the first year after bariatric surgery. The study population comprised 30 patients, 17 women (56.67%) and 13 men, between 28 and 60 years old. laparoscopic gastric sleeve procedure was adopted for bariatric surgery. Patients were asked to complete SF-36 questionnaire before surgery. One year after surgery, patients were again asked to complete an SF-36. Comparisons were made between loss of weight, alteration in the psychological condition and quality of life postoperatively, within the parameters of sex, age, marital status, clinical condition, duration of obesity and family history of obesity. Outcomes obtained from Wilcoxon signed rank test of SF-36 parameters revealed that there is significant difference between pre surgery and post surgery SF-36 parameters except emotional role limitation. The bariatric surgery most satisfactorily improved the patients’ psychosomatic condition, as well as their quality of life, during the first year after surgery.

Menopause occurs exactly at the end of the last menstrual cycle, but the new certainty is obtained if a woman has not experienced the cycle for at least 12 months. When the levels of estrogen and progesterone decline, the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland trying to correct it and this leads to disruption of the normal operation of other body systems, including metabolism, brain chemistry, and bone conditions. The resulting changes include changes in the physical and psychological conditions are very individual (there are experienced and some not). Common physical changes experienced by menopausal women include: skin wrinkles or loosened, urinary incontinence (urinary control disorders), heart palpitations during activity, body temperature increases abruptly, headache, and easy to forget. While the changes in psychological conditions often lead to feelings of depression, and quick to anger. In addition it is the threat of osteoporosis (bone loss), which makes easy fractures impaired calcium absorption and poses a risk of cardiovascular disorders that contribute to raise the risk of heart disease and stroke.

Assessment of possible effects for testosterone replacement therapy in men with symptomatic late-onset hypogonadism

We herein report clinical assessments of efficacy and side effects of T replacement therapy (TRT) in men with late-onset hypogonadism (LOH). The study included 56 patients who were diagnosed with LOH and treated with TRT for at least 6 months at our institution. Age, ageing male symptom (AMS) scale, and androgen decline in the ageing male (ADAM) questionnaires were examined. Fasting blood samples were analysed for sex hormones, total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, triglycerides (TG), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (γ-GTP), red blood cell count (RBC), haemoglobin (Hb), haematocrit (Ht), and prostate-specific antigen (PSA). Total and psychological symptoms scores were measured by the AMS scale and the ADAM questionnaire score, demonstrating that the sum of positive responses to the questions were significantly improved after TRT (P < 0.05). TC, HDL, and LDL cholesterol, TG, AST, ALT, γ-GTP, RBC, Hb, Ht, and PSA were not significantly different between before and after TRT. Although TRT for men with LOH may cause favorable changes in psychological conditions, it may not have effects on lipid metabolism, liver function, RBC, and PSA level.

Validation of the Chinese version of the Schizophrenia Quality of Life Scale Revision 4 (SQLS-R4) in Taiwanese patients with schizophrenia

We tested the reliability, sensitivity, and validity of a Chinese translation of the Schizophrenia Quality of Life Scale Revision 4 (SQLS-R4). One hundred Taiwanese individuals with schizophrenia were recruited. The internal consistency reliability was satisfactory for both the psychosocial and vitality domains (Cronbach's alpha = 0.92, 0.84). The test-retest reliability was also high (psychosocial: ICC = 0.84, vitality: ICC = 0.84) for those individuals whose psychological conditions remained stable between the two-week interval. However, the responsiveness coefficient for those with considerable changes in psychological conditions ranged from very small to moderate, suggesting either low responsiveness for the vitality domain or a complex relationship between the change of psychological conditions and quality of life, and the need to estimate responsiveness more conclusively in a future intervention study. The convergent validity was supported by moderate-to-large correlations between domains measuring related constructs of the SQLS-R4 and SF-36 (r = -0.65 to -0.67). Overall, the results of this study provide preliminary evidence for the reliability and validity of the SQLS-R4 used in Taiwanese individuals with schizophrenia. This study provides a common ground for international researchers to understand quality of life in Taiwanese patients with schizophrenia.

Psychological Condition and Quality of Life in Patients with Morbid Obesity Before and After Surgical Weight Loss

Bariatric surgery results in significant weight loss, improvement or cure of accompanying illnesses, and may lead to important changes in psychological conditions. The aim of this paper is to study the changes in the psychological and emotional lives of patients as well as quality of life during the first 2 years after vertical banded gastroplasty (VBG). The study population comprised 59 patients, 45 women (76.3%) and 14 men, between 18 and 64 years old. Patients were asked to complete an SCL-90R questionnaire before VBG. 2 years after VBG, patients were again asked to complete an SCL-90R as well as a BAROS questionnaire. Comparisons were made between loss of weight, alteration in the psychological condition and quality of life postoperatively, within the parameters of sex, age, marital status, level of education, duration of obesity and family history of obesity. Women had a greater degree of depression from obesity than their male counterparts before the procedure (P=0.001), while their postoperative emotional improvement was more marked (P=0.008). The General Mental Health Index was higher in female than male patients (P=0.008). At 2 years after VBG, BMI was significantly reduced (P<0.001). Oversensitivity in personal relationships and anxiety affected patients more both pre- and postoperatively. The averages of all the indexes of the subgroups of the SCL-90R, which relates to psychological condition of patients, showed a statistically significant reduction at 2 years following VBG, indicative of the improvement of the patients' psychosomatic condition. The more weight patients lost, the more their quality of life improved, as evaluated by the BAROS (P<0.001). The bariatric surgery most satisfactorily improved the patients' psychosomatic condition, as well as their quality of life, during the first 2 years after VBG.
