Lipomodelling of the Breast Following Excision of a Giant Juvenile Fibroadenoma

Giant juvenile fibroadenomas form 1-8% of breast lesions in the adolescent population. We report a case of giant fibroadenoma in a 17-year-old girl who underwent simple lump excision through a lateral breast fold incision followed by lipomodelling to correct the dimpling of the breast. With this dual approach, excellent cosmetic outcome can be achieved for average-sized giant fibroadenoma without the need for more complex technique.

A rare unilateral giant fibroadenoma of the breast during pregnancy and lactation

Fibroadenomas are the most common breast masses in adolescent women. Giant fibroadenomas are an uncommon disease during pregnancy and lactation. Significant enlargement might result in breast asymmetry and deformity. We present a rare case of giant fibroadenoma during pregnancy and lactation with significant breast asymmetry. Excision with round block technique leaves a discrete scar and a cosmetic contour.

Giant Juvenile Fibroadenoma: Report of two cases

Juvenile giant fibroadenoma(JGF) is a rare benign b reast tumor usually presenting in adolescent female and constitute 0.5 % of all fibroadenomas. JGF characterized by rapid and massive growth of encapsulated mass measuring more than 5 cm.We are reporting two cases of giant fibroadenoma in prepub ertal girls aged 13 and 11 years. The provisional d iagnosis was made on FNAC which was subsequently confirmed on histopathology. These tumors are mostly benign and should be treated with breastconserving surgery to improve physical, psychologic al disturbances and cosmotic disfigurement.

妊娠期に急速増大した乳腺線維腺腫（15cm）の1例

症例は30歳，女性．2010年6月，左乳房に2.5cm大の腫瘤を自覚し近医を受診．吸引式乳房組織生検（VAB）で管周囲型線維腺腫と診断し経過観察した．1カ月後に妊娠し，腫瘍の増大を認めたが妊娠によるものと判断し経過観察した．妊娠8カ月に15cm大に増大したため，再度VABを施行．良性の増殖性病変と診断したが，急速増大していることから葉状腫瘍も否定できず，手術目的に当院紹介となった．左乳房外側上方を中心に15cmの腫瘍を認め，乳腺エコーで境界明瞭平滑，内部不均一な腫瘤，MRIでは境界明瞭で乳腺組織を内尾側に圧排する分葉状腫瘤を認め，T2強調像で腫瘤の内部が不均一で変性が強いことより葉状腫瘍を疑った．妊娠週齢を考慮し，32週に全身麻酔下に腫瘍摘出術を施行した．病理組織学的検査では管周囲型線維腺腫であった．今回われわれは，妊娠期に急速増大した繊維腺腫の1例を経験したので若干の文献的考察を含め報告する．

Primary Well Differentiated Breast Liposarcoma with Divergent Cartilagenous Differentiation: A Case Report

Primary liposarcomas of the female and male breasts are very rare. Heterologous differentiation in adipocytic tumors is also an exceedingly rare phenomenon, which is occasionally reported in the literature. We describe the case of a 22 year-old female who presented with a relatively large left breast mass which was clinically diagnosed as a case of giant fibroadenoma, but histologically showed a well differentiated liposarcoma with evidence of extensive chondroid differentiation. The mammographic and radiological features are presented and correlated with the histopathological appearances together with literature review and comparison with similar reported cases.
