THE INFLUENCE OF BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ON IMPROVING MARKETING PERFORMANCE IN THE DIGITAL ERA

Businesses should adapt to digital competition, anticipate consumer needs, and innovate to stay ahead. This study aims to examine the influence of business intelligence on enhancing marketing performance in the digital era, building upon previous research on the impact of social media on innovation. Further investigation is necessary to understand the effects of technology on marketing effectiveness. This paper used qualitative research to explore concepts in depth, collecting descriptive data through observation and analyzing events using intensive techniques. Data analysis involves organizing and categorizing data, recognizing patterns, and drawing conclusions. Business intelligence is an e-business app that converts company data into knowledge, enhancing competitiveness. Data analysis is crucial for boosting a company's business performance, converting raw data in the data warehouse into valuable information.

Effects of knowledge transformation and social capital on business performance

PurposeThis article delves into the antecedents of business performance. The main aim of this study is to analyze the effect of knowledge transformation on business performance in firms in the tourism industry and how cognitive and structural social capital heterogeneously moderate this relationship.Design/methodology/approachThe empirical study was conducted on a sample of 300 firms from the tourism industry in Arequipa-Perú. The analysis was performed by means of partial least squares structural equation modeling, using the Smart PLS software.FindingsOur findings show that knowledge transformation is key factor for increasing business performance. The results also highlight the significance of interorganizational relationships in this effect and the importance of analyzing each dimension of social capital separately. Thus, it is observed that cognitive social capital enhances the relationship between knowledge transformation and business performance, while (Sari and Indriani, 2023) structural social capital hinders it.Practical implicationsThe findings assist practitioners in developing a shared culture, values and goals with their contacts to improve business performance. Furthermore, firms should establish bridging ties with external agents to avoid be stuck in excessively dense networks. Relationships with institutions can act as a bridging agent.Originality/valueThis paper analyses the unresolved question of how knowledge transformation affects the business performance of companies in the tourism sector as well as how different dimensions of social capital influence in this relationship. Addressing these two critical, but as yet unresolved questions, this study draws on absorptive capacity and social capital theories as an overarching framework to present a conceptual model that integrates both theories in order to analyze the effect of knowledge transformation on business performance in tourism firms and the role of structural and cognitive capital on this relationship.

Study of employee performance measurement, evaluation and management practices in tourism and catering companies in Szeklerland(with special reference to Harghita county)

As a resource, people are one of the most important factors in the modern economy. From a subjective measurement approach, it can form the basis of business performance measurement. In this research, I am looking for answers to the question: what does business practice show, and how consistent is it with theoretical findings? The results of the research show that companies operating in the hospitality sector in Harghita County are consistently aware of the fact that employee performance contributes greatly to company performance. For this very reason, employee guidance, performance monitoring and feedback are considered significantly important. Employee performance is measured and evaluated informally, often on a monthly basis. The standardised, formal form of measurement, on the other hand, is only done annually, from time to time when necessary. However, its frequency increases significantly with the size of the company. Companies are moderately satisfied with the current employee performance measurement and evaluation. They are therefore aware that there is room for improvement. In their opinion, the introduction of a performance management system in the future would make a significant contribution to solving the problems discussed in the research. In doing so, it would also contribute to the improving of the company's business performance at the same time. Our development objective could be to provide guidance in this area for the future.

Implementation of Omnichannel Improves Business Performance Based on Integrated Marketing Communication

This research will examine a company engaged in the food and beverage industry. This research aims to create a business design based on the Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach and SWOT (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunity, Threat) analysis as an innovation to improve the company's business performance. The object of this research is PT Tongku Raja Nauli located in Padangsidimpuan city. This research was conducted in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) industry engaged in food processing made from egg rolls. The data collection procedure in this research is to use a qualitative approach by obtaining through direct observation, company records, in-depth interviews, and documentation in the form of photos and videos. The results of the SWOT analysis on the nine elements of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) show that there are internal and external factors that are strengths and weaknesses for the company in carrying out its business model and also what are the opportunities and threats from external that affect the business processes of PT Tongku Raja Nauli. This research resulted in the Tongku Snack Innovation program, a program that optimizes the Company's marketing. This program is assisted by Integrated Marketing Communication theory with the concept of Omnichannel Marketing which is proven to help companies increase sales, competitiveness and business continuity.

IMPACT OF DIGITAL MARKETING ON THE PERFORMANCE OF COMPANIES IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR OF SERBIA

This paper explores the impact of digital marketing on the business operations of companies in the agricultural sector of Serbia. Accordingly, the research objective is to determine critical success factors of digital marketing channels in companies within this sector. Given the stated research objective, the following general hypothesis has been formulated: digital marketing channels such as effective presence on social media, website quality, online sales and search engine optimization have a significant positive impact on the business performance of companies in the agricultural sector in Serbia. Successful implementation of these types of digital marketing channels by companies is expected to lead to increased visibility, engagement of the target audience, and improved sales. Consequently, the results of empirical research provide more insightful perspectives on the state of this field, identifying specific aspects of digital marketing that significantly contribute to the business performance of companies in the agricultural sector of Serbia.

기업의 부정적인 사건 발생시 CSR 활동과 소비자의 지각된 기업위선과의 관계에 관한 연구

This study examines the perception of corporate hypocrisy arising from corporate social responsibility activities and corporate crises. According to previous CSR studies, corporate social responsibility activities can mitigate negative evaluations from consumers that can occur in corporate crises. However, the positive image built through CSR activities can have a more negative impact depending on the type of company-related accident. In this case, consumers may feel a sense of betrayal and corporate hypocrisy towards the company, and it will have a negative impact on the company's CSR activities or business performance in the future. In this study, 4 scenarios were designed and studied to verify that there is a difference in perceived corporate hypocrisy depends on CSR activities and corporate crisis types. Result of this study are summarized as follows. First, corporate hypocrisy perceived by consumers was greater in criminal accidents than in corporate ability-type accidents in corporate crises. Second, corporate hypocrisy was greater when the type of CSR activity and the type of corporate crisis was congruent. Finally, this study shows that corporate hypocrisy has a negative effect on CSR authenticity and purchase intention. The findings suggest companies need to recognize the relationship between CSR activities and corporate crises and respond appropriately to negative reactions such as corporate hypocrisy. In this regard, theoretical and practical implications can be provided.

The Effect of Competitive Strategy and Product Quality on Business Performance Study On: Unilever Indonesia Tbk

Currently, in the global market era, many daily necessities are circulating in the world goods market domestic and foreign products. Many companies are developing in Indonesia, both domestic companies and foreign investment companies. One of them is Unilever Indonesia which operates in the primary consumer sector. This research aims to describe efforts to create the influence of competitive strategy and product quality on business performance at Unilever Indonesia Tbk. The urgency of research is to fulfill assignments for the Strategic Management course and as a requirement to take the Final Semester Examination. This research is intended for readers as supporting material for further research in the future and is also useful for writers to develop the process of creating scientific work. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach method with Explanatory Research research, using annual financial data for the last 3-year period. This method aims to find variable relationships that exist in a community. Using company financial reports to determine the results and influence of competitive strategy and product quality on company sales over several decades and determine the effectiveness of company strategy in the company's business performance. This research was created based on references from several journals by previous researchers with variables that are closely related to the title of the research created by the author.

The Effect of Brand Equity on Brand Loyalty to Skincare Products Mediated By Customer Satisfaction

Maintaining and increasing brand loyalty is paramount due to a decrease in product differentiation and an increase in product market uncertainty. Therefore, brand loyalty is a measure of a company's business performance that affects the market share of a product. The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of brand equity and brand loyalty on mediated by customer satisfaction and to confirm the significant dimensions of brand equity. The population of this study are Scarlett skincare users who live in Jakarta and Bekasi whose numbers are unknown. Respondents of this study were 115 respondents with the criteria of Scarlett skincare users aged 17-30 who have bought and used Scralett Skincare in the last 6 months. The analysis method used is Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling. The results stated that perceived quality and perceived cost value can increase customer satisfaction, perceived quality and customer satisfaction have a positive effect on brand loyalty, however, brand identification, brand trust and lifestyle alignment have no effect on customer satisfaction. Perceived quality and perceived cost value on brand loyalty are mediated by customer satisfaction, while brand identification, brand trust and lifestyle alignment are not proven. Future research is expected to expand the range of regions and add other variables related to brand loyalty such as brand image.

Unravelling the Nexus Between Export Performance and Business Performance

Exporting enterprises representing countries in global competition constitute a valuable research area and create the opportunity to conduct research on them. Exporting enterprises have a crucial place in the welfare of developing countries, especially with the foreign exchange revenues they will bring. Therefore, many different aspects of exporting enterprises need to be examined both from a business and scientific point of view. This study aimed to comprehend the mutual relationship between business performance and export performance among 192 exporters in Turkiye. In the study, data were collected through scales for export performance and business performance of enterprises, and performance outputs were revealed as a result of factor analysis. Afterwards, it was examined whether there is a significant difference in the export performance of companies with high and low business performance and whether there is a significant difference in the business performance of companies with high and low export performance. Achieved t-test findings, show that significant differences existed in both the export performance of companies with high business performance and the business performance of companies with high export performance. These findings of the study indicate that exporting companies' financial business opportunities may have an impact on export performance, and similarly, companies with good export performance can also achieve a strong financial output. In this context, it has been suggested that businesses should focus on performance outputs with a two-way perspective and that exporting businesses should not only focus on exports.

Performance analysis of promotion programs of the smart factory using propensity score matching

This study aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of government-funded programs supporting the construction of smart factories. In the analysis of performance, a challenge arises as simple statistical techniques often fail to address the issue of ‘selection bias’ when assessing the business performance of companies that engaged in a specific promotional program versus those that did not. In this study, we utilized the propensity score matching (PSM) technique to measure the business performance of participating companies based on the counterfactual of not participating. It compares them to companies that did not participate in the program but have similar attributes. We conducted a comparative analysis of business performance between two provinces in the Republic of Korea. The findings indicated that participation in the promotion program had a positive impact on the compound annual growth rate of sales during the study period. This suggests that companies involved in the program exhibited enhanced business performance compared to their non-participating counterparts. The insights gained from this study will be instrumental in shaping policies for forthcoming follow-up initiatives.

Analyzing the Financial Performance of PT. Steel Pipe Industry of Indonesia Tbk

The financial report is a vital tool for acquiring insights into a company's financial position and business performance. Through financial statement analysis, crucial indicators pertaining to the company's financial health are unveiled, rendering it a valuable resource for guiding financial decision-making processes and offering a comprehensive portrayal of the company's performance. This study evaluates the financial performance of PT Steel Pipe Industry of Indonesia Tbk. and forecasts the company's sales turnover over the next five years. This research adopts a quantitative descriptive approach, utilizing secondary data spanning from 2018 to 2022 from the PT Steel Pipe Industry of Indonesia Tbk. The data analysis process encompasses several stages, including (i) Ratio Analysis of Financial Reports from 2018 to 2022, (ii) Compilation of sales data, (iii) Projections of sales figures using the least squares method, and (iv) Forecasting profits for the period from 2023 to 2027. The findings of this study indicate that the PT Steel Pipe Industry of Indonesia Tbk. is facing challenges in its financial performance, as the ratio values consistently fall below industry-standard financial metrics. However, the company has demonstrated resilience in maintaining its profitability levels, evidenced by a 6% increase in profit percentage in 2021 compared to 2020. This can be attributed to the company's consistent profit generation efforts, resulting in year-on-year profit growth.

ESG Integration in Chinas Sustainable Supply Chain: Feasibility, Impact, and Optimization Strategies

Although more and more companies and investors are beginning to recognize the importance of ESG, its promotion and practice still need to be improved. China's ESG development is still in its infancy compared to ESG applications worldwide. Some leading businesses have already been actively using ESG to enhance the sustainability of their supply chains. This article examines the proactiveness and feasibility of companies adopting ESG development and how to improve their supply chains. The research employs methods such as data regression analysis and correlation analysis, and it also investigates the case of JD.com. The study reveals that while the ESG concept may seem contradictory to a company's short-term business goals or performance, it exhibits a certain degree of positive correlation and can even bring about favorable impacts in both the short and long term. JD.com's ESG application strategy in the supply chain context holds practical significance and scalability, potentially serving as a template for ESG supply chain development in future Chinese companies.

The Effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic on Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Performance in Companies Listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange

Abstract The COVID-19 virus pandemic had an impact on all segments of life, including dally operations of companies. Companies had to adapt to market developments and change their business philosophy in order to survive in the market. This paper showed how the crisis caused by the COVID-19 virus pandemic affects the business of companies. This study aims to examine the business performance indicators (BPI) of companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) before and during the COVID-19 pandemic with a focus on corporate social responsibility (CSR). In order to examine this, a multivariate regression analysis was conducted. The findings show that there were no changes in the BPIs before and during the COVID-19 pandemic in companies in relation to CSR strategy. The only exception was found in the group of CSR companies that reported a lower profit margin during the COVID-19 pandemic. Companies with better BPIs may be willing to introduce CSR principles into their strategy and during the pandemic, intangibles influenced CSR strategy in a negative way. The limitations of the article are related to the study of only one market. Identified relationships allowed for a better understanding of the application of social responsibility principles among enterprises in Central Europe.

The Influence of Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) and Green Innovation on Company Business Performance

The research aims to provide empirical evidence on the relationship of ESG and green innovation to company's business performance. The independent sample of this research is ESG was measuring ESG score. Dependent variables green innovation were measures using innovation of green product and innovation of green process. Sampling used in this research is purposive sampling technique. The sample of this research consisted of 66 manufacturing companies from 2016 to 2021. The data collected was analyzed using panel data regression analysis. This result shows that ESG positively influence business performance proxied by Tobin's Q and ROA unsupported. Green Innovation, which is proxied by green product innovation on the company's business performance, shows mixed results. Where green product innovation positively influence the company's business performance proxied by ROA. Conversely, green product innovation does not influence company's business performance proxied by Tobin's Q. Meanwhile, Green Innovation proxied by Green Process innovation effect on the company's business performance is not supported. Thus, it can be seen that ESG has not become a concern for investors in Indonesia, as evidenced by the limited number of public companies that disclose ESG scores. Green Innovation which is proxied by green product innovation and green process innovation shows mixed results which shows that customers are also considering purchasing products from companies whose innovations produce environmentally friendly products

The Effect of Digital Capability and Digital Literacy on Business Performance With Employee Innovation as a Mediating Variable at PT Pegadaian

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of digital capability and digital literacy on PT Pegadaian's micro employees on business performance both directly and through employee innovation. PT Pegadaian has a mission to be able to provide service excellence with a customer focus through simpler and digital business processes to be able to continue to compete with competitors so as to improve the company's business performance. One of the efforts that can be made to achieve this mission is that PT Pegadaian employees are required to have innovation and be supported by digital capability and digital literacy. The research is a quantitative research with convenience sampling method and data analysis using Smart PLS. The results of the analysis in show that digital capability & digital literacy do not have a direct role in improving business performance. Digital capability & digital literacy must take advantage of employee innovation to improve business performance.

Three Factors Earnings Management Simultaneously Impact the Financial Performance of Food and Beverage Companies Period 2017-2021 Recorded Bei

The objective of the study was to describe the impact of tax planning, management premiums, and information asymmetry on business performance in companies in the food and beverage subsector for the period 2017-2021 in IDX datasets. This research lasted 7 months. The study population included 30 companies and the samples used included only 14 companies during the 5 periods of this study, i.e. 70 observation samples. The main data collection techniques are observation and discussion. direct on-site observation by looking at each company's financial reports. The data analysis method used is Multiple Regression Analysis (SPSS). As a result, we found that tax planning, managerial premiums, and information asymmetry simultaneously impact the financial performance of food and beverage companies.

Analysis of Stock Valuation and Business Performance of a Digital Media Company in Indonesia Before and After the Covid-19 Pandemic (Case Study: Global Mediacom)

The rise of digital streaming and investing in Indonesia has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. One company involved in this unprecedented scenario is PT Global Mediacom TBK (BMTR). The everchanging digital streaming landscape and its massive growth create both an opportunity and threat for the company’s growth. The study aims to analyse stock valuation and performance of digital media in Indonesia pre-pots pandemic. To analyse this, the study utilized secondary data from the company’s annual report and various secondary sources. The data is processed using absolute valuation method of Discounted Cash Flow valuation and relative valuation method of Price-to-Earnings Ratio, Price-to-Book Value and EV/EBITDA. Using the absolute valuation method, it is found that the company’s stock is currently overvalued with an intrinsic value of Rp 169 in comparison to the actual price of Rp 278. One of the reasons for this is the company’s high beta stock of 1.8 which could signal a higher risk but higher return. Using the relative valuation method, all the metrics found that BMTR stock is undervalued. Being constantly below the industry average. However, the financial analysis as well as the relative valuations has found that the company is the most stable out of all the Indonesian listed digital streaming companies. This demonstrates the excellent business performance of the company.

Tinjauan Strategis: Pengaruh Keunggulan Kompetitif dan Orientasi Pasar terhadap Kinerja Bisnis UMKM dalam Konteks Pasar yang Kompetitif

This research aims to explore the influence of competitive advantage and market orientation on a company's business performance. The research method used in this research includes quantitative models. A sample consisting of 75 small business owners in Suranaya City representing their companies filled out the survey using predetermined measurements. Purposive sampling will be used for sampling requirements. The collected data was analyzed using various statistical techniques, including classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing. The research results show that there is a significant positive relationship between competitive advantage and business performance. Companies that are able to develop competitive advantages in products, services, or costs tend to achieve better financial results than their competitors. Apart from that, market orientation also has a significant positive influence on business performance. Companies that focus more on understanding customers in depth and trying to meet their needs tend to have better business performance.

Research on the Influence Mechanism of Corporate Social Responsibility on Financial Performance

In the process of social development, corporate social responsibility and corporate financial performance have widely concerned. In academia, there is numerous researches on the connection between the two. Reviewing pertinent academic writing on the CSR and financial effect is the goal of this study, sorting out how the two elements are related and guiding corporate participation in community responsibility functions. The study of this paper draws several conclusions. First of all, most businesses that participate in social responsibility initiatives can improve their financial performance. What’s more, the participation of a few companies in social responsibility activities has nothing to do with company performance or even hinders the company's business performance. The different impact results are related to the company's operating conditions, the purpose of participating in social responsibility activities, and social recognition. If companies wish to increase their financial returns through social responsibility, they must excel at strategic management.

Collaboration, eco-innovation and economic performance in the automotive industry

PurposeEco-innovation is emerging as one of the most important constructs that improve environmental sustainability of firms. However, it has been shown that companies alone cannot adequately develop eco-innovation activities, which is why they require the implementation of external collaboration activities with intermediaries, suppliers and stakeholders to achieve a higher level of eco-innovation activities and improve business performance of manufacturing firms. Therefore, this research fills this gap by exploring the importance of the relationship between collaboration and eco-innovation.Design/methodology/approachThe research is conducted through an extensive literature review with a research model consisting of 5 measurement scales, 24 items and 4 hypotheses. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to a sample of 460 firms in Mexico, analyzing the data set through confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation models.FindingsThe results obtained from this study suggest that collaboration has significant positive effects both on the eco-innovation of products, processes and management, as well as on the business performance of companies in the automotive industry.Practical implicationsThe findings of this study have important implications both for the public administration (e.g. development of policies to support companies and financing programs) and for the managers of companies in the automotive industry (e.g. training program for employees and collaboration with other firms).Originality/valueThis paper fills a research gap by expanding the limited body of knowledge that relates collaboration eco-innovation and business performance, which is why this research aims to fill this existing gap in the literature and explore the relationship between collaboration, eco-innovation and business performance.
