Women Farmers Group (KWT) is a forum that provides opportunities for women to participate in advancing the agricultural sector. One example is KWT Permata, which is expected to provide opportunities for women in villages to channel their abilities in cultivating agricultural land. Activities held by KWT Permata, such as technical training, business management, and product marketing, aim to improve women's self-actualization in their social environment. This study will explore the role of KWT in empowering village women in Bali, especially through kombucha production, the challenges faced, and its impact on their economic and social welfare. KWT Permata has been well managed and has been touched by assistance from the Government to support the work of the KWT, but there is no or does not yet know the procedures for bookkeeping/daily records related to production, income, costs, profit and loss , so they really don't know clearly the financial conditions and positions, there is no marketing model to promote their products, the packaging is still simple and does not have a brand, and the conditions and environment of the business premises in terms of marketing are very far from the city so that the scope of product marketing is limited.

Small Business Empowerment Strategy in the Agricultural Sector Through Digital Entrepreneurship

This study looks at how digital entrepreneurship is being used by small enterprises in the agriculture industry to empower them. It focusses on how this is affecting market access, production efficiency, and bolstering competitiveness. The advent of digital transformation has presented small enterprises with novel prospects to surmount customary constraints, including restricted availability of markets, finance, and technology. This research employs a qualitative methodology and a case study approach to investigate how small agricultural firms might use digital technologies, like e-commerce platforms and the Internet of Things (IoT), to increase market access and productivity. In-depth interviews with small business owners, technology suppliers, and other stakeholders were used to gather data. Direct observation and document analysis were also used. The results of this study show that small enterprises' operational efficiency and revenue are greatly increased when digital entrepreneurship is implemented. Collaboration with a range of stakeholders, including the government and academic institutions, and sufficient digital literacy have shown to be crucial for the effective execution of this plan. This study also emphasises how crucial it is to create both domestic and global business networks in an effort to increase market penetration and boost the competitiveness of small enterprises in the agriculture industry. In order to increase the sustainability and competitiveness of small enterprises in the agriculture sector, this study makes recommendations based on its results for policy makers and industry participants to assist the widespread adoption of digital entrepreneurship.

In the flexible working era: the micro-location choices of co-working spaces

ABSTRACT Would physical location become less essential when work and communication are not limited to a fixed space? We explore the question with the micro-location choices of co-working spaces (CWSs) in London. The empirical results show that the CWS tends to choose districts with more ‘teleworkable’ jobs and a high reliance on tacit knowledge in local industries. CWS also tends to be located where start-up firms co-locate, echoing the different influences of knowledge spillover in firms’ life cycles. The study highlights how CWS facilitates businesses in a digitised and more collaborative economy, carrying implications for business empowerment and local urban patterns.

Realizing this, strengthening (empowering) SMEs and Micro Enterprises is a necessity and necessity to be able to find a national identity that has comparative advantage and competitive advantage. This activity begins with identifying existing problems and then finding a method for solving them. The method used is by providing training and mentoring. The results that have been achieved are the ability of the Traditional Cake business to optimize its sales by using local raw materials. In this way, the Traditional Cake Micro Business "Puji Letari" can improve its capabilities in the field of production and business management. These outcomes are an indication of increased business empowerment.

Empowerment of People's Salt Businesses in Self-Sufficiency Efforts Salt in Pangarengan Sampang Regency Madura

The national program called People's Salt Business Empowerment (PUGaR) is a form of the government's commitment. PUGaR itself is interpreted as a national program which aims to improve the welfare of people's salt farmers and encourage the realization of National Salt Self-Sufficiency. This research uses qualitative research, primary data is collected using interviews, and is supported by document data that is considered relevant. Qualitative data analysis uses an interactive model consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The implementation of the PUGaR policy has 3 stages, namely 1) policy planning has gone well, 2) Implementation has gone well, but there are still problems. The facilitator generalizes the technical problems of making salt. 3) The evaluation went well. The PUGaR policy makes salt farmers more empowered in accordance with the program. Self- Sufficiency Ability characterized by; Increased Income for Salt Farmers, Improved Salt Quality, Focus on Salt Making and Increased Salt Productivity. Constraints on self-sufficiency, namely the human resource capacity of salt farmers is inadequate, infrastructure and transportation facilities to the salt factory are inadequate and the weather does not support decreased salt production.

Research on Enterprise Regulation under the Background of Financial Technology

With the development and maturity of technology, the financial industry has become increasingly connected to technology. In recent years, fintech companies have flourished in the financial industry and are gradually becoming an important mainstay of global business empowerment. Fintech has opened up new areas of financial business and driven the development of finance and society. It has revolutionized the financial industry with the high efficiency brought by technology, but at the same time, it has also produced adverse events such as Alipay's annual bill exposing personal privacy and P2P mines, which have brought new risks for financial institutions and investors in general, and therefore it is urgent to take strict measures to regulate it. This paper starts from the connotation of fintech, briefly describes the development history of fintech in China, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions on how to better regulate fintech enterprises based on the high-frequency risks faced by fintech enterprises and the internal operational deficiencies of the regulatory authorities.

This service aims to increase the production of herbal plants in Sugeng Village through the implementation of sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices. By using research methodology to allocate training for farmers and local entrepreneurs related to organic farming practices, herbal product processing, and business management, involving specialists in the manufacture of creative and attractive herbal powder products and packaging designs that increase product attractiveness. The results of this service are herbal powder products that have high added value in terms of quality, safety, and packaging, as well as an increase in the income of the Sugeng Village community as a result of increasing the added value of herbal products and strengthening local businesses. This service, which encourages local businesses through herbal innovation, has the potential to improve the economy of Sugeng Village and increase community income, which has a positive impact on their welfare and living standards.

Assessing Business Empowerment Program Effectiveness: Dolago Padang's Women Farmer Group Study

This research evaluates the implementation of an economic empowerment program through the Women Farmer Group (WFG) using sustainable home food yard activities (P2L) supported by the Food Security Agency - Ministry of Agriculture. The program aims to enhance economic empowerment in priority areas, addressing stunting and vulnerable food-insecure regions while promoting food resilience. The study measures the effectiveness of the program implemented through the WFG and evaluates it from the perspective of Islamic economics. Adopting a field research approach with a qualitative descriptive method, primary data is collected through interviews and observations, and secondary data is obtained from the documentation. Program effectiveness is assessed using a simple statistical method, dividing realized program activities by the set targets. Analysis of effectiveness indicators is based on interview findings. The research measures program effectiveness through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion-drawing techniques. The results show that the WFG program in Dolago Padang Village fulfills two effectiveness indicators: target accuracy and program objectives. From the perspective of Islamic economics, the program aligns with principles of justice, responsibility, social security (Takaful), and economic empowerment by the principle of Palawan. However, the program needs to meet the remaining four effectiveness indicators. The study recommends strengthening program awareness and monitoring for future implementation. It emphasizes that achieving program success is a shared responsibility between the government and the community, requiring the fulfillment of effective measurement criteria.

Institutional Capacity Development of Village Owned Enterprises In Sarjo Village, Sarjo District

Through employment and community and village business empowerment, village-owned enterprises have a role and contribution to the economy. The main problems faced are not only capital, marketing, labor, technology, and market problems; what is more important is institutional capacity in human resource development. This study examines the institutional capacity development of village-owned enterprises in Sarjo Village, Sarjo District, Pasangkayu District. This research is descriptive-explorative in nature and uses an inductive qualitative method. The research strategy is a case study. This research focuses on institutional capacity, stages of institutional capacity building, and levels of institutional capacity development. The research location was a village-owned enterprise in Sarjo Village, Sarjo District, Pasang Kayu District, and informants were selected based on their role in developing the institutional capacity of the two elements. Observations, interviews, and collection of relevant documents were used to collect data. Data analysis uses interactive models and performs step-by-step analysis using linear and hierarchical techniques. The institutional capacity of Village Owned Enterprises is not yet optimal. This is evident from the capacity to use its resources is still limited. Stages Implementation of institutional capacity building has been carried out, but is still limited in the scope of each stage, in addition to limited knowledge in running its business. Meanwhile, the institutional capacity building carried out by the government in Sarjo Village, Sarjo Subdistrict, Install Timber District, has not had any follow-up stages in the form of technical guidance and business assistance stages. Institutional capacity development carried out by Village-Owned Enterprises is still limited, both at the personnel level, organizational level development and system (rule) level development. Based on the description above, it shows weak entrepreneurial skills, such as enthusiasm, attitude, action, and knowledge. Studies show that networking is a business characteristic of Sarjo Village, Sarjo District, Pasang Kayu District, which is very important for the existence, survival and sustainability of the business.

Strengthening of Micro Small and Medium Business Empowerment Through Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Act

Access to financing, which has always been the main problem faced by MSMEs, is expected to be resolved with the PPSK Act. For this reason, this paper aims to analyze the strengthening of MSME empowerment through the PPSK Act. The preparation of this research uses a qualitative approach. The research method used is descriptive using data sourced from various journals, books, laws, and regulations, as well as various other literature related to the title of this research. This study found that the MSME credit ratio has not been able to compete with other business sectors and is also lagging behind other Asian countries. In addition, changes to the MSME criteria as in the Government Regulation on MSMEs have not been followed by adjustments to the credit ceiling for MSMEs. Furthermore, of the 64 MSME empowerment programs implemented in 22 ministries/institutions, according to the author, none has touched on the securities crowdfunding scheme in the MSME empowerment program. On the other hand, the presence of provisions for write-offs and/or write-offs of receivables made the bank's balance sheet healthy again and encouraged banks to extend credit to MSMEs to increase the MSME credit ratio in Indonesia.

Pendayagunaan Dana Sosial Bank Syariah Melalui Platform Financial Technology untuk Pemberdayaan UMKM pada Era Digital

This study aims to describe the empowerment of MSMEs in the digital era based on the utilization of social funds by Islamic banks through financial technology platforms. This research is qualitative research with a type of literature research. This study uses secondary data sourced from books, scientific journals, mass media news, as well as sources from the internet which are considered credible and of both national and international standards and are relevant to the matter being studied. Apart from that, to support this research, primary data sources were also used which came from the results of interviews which were studied further through focus group discussion (FGD) activities. The results of the study show that Indonesia is a country with a large potential for MSMEs. The main problem faced in empowering MSMEs is limited access to financing because many MSMEs are not yet bankable. On the other hand, Indonesia also has alternative potential for MSME financing through the utilization of Islamic bank social funds consisting of zakat companies and corporate social responsibility (CSR). In the digital era, this financing can be channeled through financial technology platforms. To be more competitive, the benefits of MSME beneficiaries are not only access to financing but also business empowerment outside of financing aspects such as training and so on provided by the MSME Center which is owned/formed by the financial technology platform.

The impact of smart technologies on SMEs’ sustainability: the mediation effect of sustainability strategy

PurposeThis study aims to investigate the influence of smart technologies on SMEs sustainability and to measure the mediation effect of SMEs’ sustainability strategy in the relationship between smart technologies and SMEs’ sustainable performance in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The sustainability concept for the purpose of this study includes environmental sustainability, social sustainability and profitability factors.Design/methodology/approachThe study applied the quantitative analysis method. The sample size was 403 small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Bahrain.FindingsThe study concludes that smart technology has a major effect on profitability performance, among other sustainable performance factors. In addition, there is no mediation effect of “SMEs’ sustainability strategy”. The study has recommended improving SMEs’ participation in sustainable development principles by considering supportive global initiatives to “Net Zero Roadmap 2050”, increasing the demand for using technologies and including academic “sustainability” concepts in academic programs.Originality/valueThis study contributes significantly to Bahrain’s economic growth by studying the proactive and innovative methods for increasing SMEs’ efficiency. Furthermore, it adds value to Bahrain’s national economy by investigating the role of SMEs and its strategic practices by implementing smart businesses towards developing business empowerment in Bahrain’s economic vision for 2030 and meeting SDGs regionally and globally.

Does Micro Waqf Bank Avoid Loan Sharks Practice? Keeping on Indigent Productive Business

The Holy Qur'an reminds Muslims to conduct lawful economic activities to get the common good. The indigent with small and micro businesses are constantly faced with financing constraints, so the presence of Islamic microfinance institutions can provide this convenience. This study analyzes the role of micro waqf banks in preventing their customers from the loan shark practice. The study uses a qualitative method with an exploratory approach to micro waqf bank customers in the province of Banten. Data collection is sourced from interviews, observations, and literature studies, while data analysis uses triangulation techniques. The results are that most of the customers of micro waqf banks had transacted with loan sharks before becoming members of micro waqf banks. Micro waqf bank aims to provide financing, guidance, and business empowerment for poor productive communities around Islamic boarding schools. They are increasing the role of micro waqf banks, namely increasing weekly halaqah, inviting and reminding not to transact with moneylenders, increasing Islamic financial literacy, helping each other among group members, and disseminating product information. The avoiding effort of loan shark practice by increasing access to sharia finance, obtaining loans through individuals or mosques without usury, selling owned goods and cohesiveness between group members or joint responsibility, Efforts to increase productive businesses, namely product innovation and marketing, increasing the number of business products and business training. The implication is that increasing micro waqf banks' roles can prevent customers from using loan sharks in business and not entering deeper indigent. Data Sharing Privacy Metrics Model Based on Information Entropy and Group Privacy Preference

With the development of the mobile internet, service providers obtain data and resources through a large number of terminal user devices. They use private data for business empowerment, which improves the user experience while causing users’ privacy disclosure. Current research ignores the impact of disclosing user non-sensitive attributes under a single scenario of data sharing and lacks consideration of users’ privacy preferences. This paper constructs a data-sharing privacy metrics model based on information entropy and group privacy preferences. Use information theory to model the correlation of the privacy metrics problem, the improved entropy weight algorithm to measure the overall privacy of the data, and the analytic hierarchy process to correct user privacy preferences. Experiments show that this privacy metrics model can better quantify data privacy than conventional methods, provide a reliable evaluation mechanism for privacy security in data sharing and publishing scenarios, and help to enhance data privacy protection.

Socialization of SAJAG (Magic Powder for Peat Water Purification) for the Establishment of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE) for Riau University Students

Empowerment for Riau University students and graduates who already own small enterprises (UMK) or who do not yet own them can help a country's economy by boosting its overall prosperity. The location of service activities with this entrepreneurship development scheme in 2022 is on Jl. Merak Sakti Gang Hijrah Panam Pekanbaru City. The method of implementing community service activities with the Entrepreneurship Development Program Scheme is carried out in the form of socialization. The target of community service activities with the entrepreneurship development scheme was the general public, 25 students of the Faculty of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, University of Riau (UNRI). In this activity, pre-test and post-test were carried out to see the achievement of activities. After the implementation of this activity, it was found that the service activities with this entrepreneurship scheme had been carried out with the target group of 25 alumni and students of the University of Riau with a level of knowledge and understanding reaching 97%. The activity concludes that SAJAG production is feasible to be carried out as Micro Small Business Empowerment (UMK).

A Context-Aware Empowering Business with AI: Case of Chatbots in Business Intelligence Systems

Artificial Intelligence (AI) empowers Business Intelligence (BI) by enhancing data analysis, automating data integration, enabling predictive analytics, providing natural language interfaces, detecting anomalies, delivering personalized recommendations, and enhancing data visualization. AI-driven systems process large datasets, identify patterns, and extract valuable insights. They automate data integration, cleansing, and transformation. Predictive analytics forecasts future trends, while natural language interfaces make data access easier. This paper gives an overview of the perspectives of intelligent empowerment of BI by AI. It focuses on presenting the ways AI can complement or even enhance the different processes of BI systems used for driving decision-making. Therefore, contextualizing the use of AI in business empowerment, we analyzed the perspectives of making intelligent empowerment of BI based on AI. We further exhibit a flowchart showing how AI Chatbots can assist BI processes to achieve the highest level of contextual autonomy and creative capability with continual improvement.
