Analytical Hierarchy Process On Supplier Selection Analysis: A Case Study in PT "X"

Business developments and the emergence of many competitors mean that companies must be able to develop and improve their performance. Supplier selection is one of the most important things in maintaining company performance, because selecting the right supplier will not result in losses for the company. This research aims to find out the best strategy that can be implemented by companies, so that companies can choose suppliers who have the best quality among existing suppliers. This research took a sample of companies located in Bandung City, specifically PT "X". Three main criteria have been obtained, namely quality (0.633), price (0.260), and the last one is delivery time (lead time) (0.107), and these three criteria are applied to 4 suppliers. Based on the results of the analysis, Supplier 2 received the highest final score and was ranked number one with a value of 0.537, then Supplier 1 was ranked 2nd with a final value of 0.191, Supplier 3 was ranked 3rd with a final value of 0.131 and Supplier 4 was ranked last with a final value of 0. 13. Therefore, the priority for ordering goods made by PT "X" is ordering Small Angle Assembly +4 Way SAE425-70 products from Supplier 2.

Center of excellence assistance model: Is it effective to improve vocational school management in Central Java?

The Centre of Excellence Vocational High School (CEVHS) is a program to develop vocational education and prepare students with skills more relevant to society's needs, which are constantly changing according to industry, business, and workplace developments. This research aimed to analyze the Centre of Excellence's assistance effectiveness in improving the quality of vocational school management in Central Java. Through a quantitative approach, this study involved CEVHS teachers in Central Java from a sample of 21 CEVHSs assisted by lecturers from Universitas Negeri Semarang. The data were collected through a questionnaire and analysed using the t-test. The test results indicate sig 0.000 0.05, meaning that the resulting value has experienced Very Good development. Therefore, there is a positive relationship before and after mentoring at CEVHSs, and CEVHS needs assistance in managing the school and improving school quality. More attention and supervision while implementing assistance is vital to enhance vocational school management.

Against Disinformation: Bridging Science and Public Discourse

The Science and Society Research Group at the Ludovika University of Public Service organised a conference in Budapest on 13 October 2023 titled: ‘Science and disinformation: how science can support society against disinformation’. The conference explored the complex relationship between science, society, and disinformation. A panel discussion was held with the aim of examining the challenges and strategies for science communication in the context of the ever-increasing issues of dis-/misinformation. The discussion highlighted the multifaceted factors that influence public trust in science; the role of digital culture on science communication and scientific knowledge production; the impact of artificial intelligence; and the relationship between science and business developments on science disinformation, especially on science-related conspiracy theories. The participants helped shed light on how science communication strategies can be improved to stabilise trust in a multi-stakeholder information environment. This article summarises the main insights and conclusions from the discussion.

Penyuluhan Legalitas dan Perlindungan Hukum dalam Bisnis Digital

The digital economy encompasses online business transactions, electronic commerce, digital services, and the digital creative industry, offering opportunities for growth, innovation, and efficiency while also challenging privacy, data security, and the digital divide. Alumni have significant potential in the digital business world, with access to education, experience, and extensive networks. Some findings suggest that electronic money positively impacts economic growth, but legal protection challenges remain, such as consumer data breaches and the need for regulation. The PKM team provides outreach to alumni and active students on legal developments in digital business. Lectures and training methods are used to impart understanding of legality and legal protection in digital business. This outreach successfully enhances participants' understanding of legal aspects, such as business identification numbers (NIB), business permits, tax obligations, trademark registration, copyright, product regulations, and intellectual property protection to avoid legal risks and enhance their business reputation.

Analysis of the Application of Android-Based Financial Application Development to MSME Financial Statements in Pari Serdang Bedagai City Village

In today's Digital Era, a financial report can be prepared using an android-based financial application by utilizing an android smartphone which will make it easier for MSME actors in Pari Serdang Bedagai City Village to see and enter transactions in the form of purchases-sales, debts-receivables, payment of operational expenses and others. This system makes it easier for MSME actors in Kota Pari Serdang Bedagai Village to find out business developments effectively and efficiently so that in the future it can be used as access to capital to formal financial institutions so that they can strengthen the economy in moving the wheels of the economy. The purpose of this study is to find out the process of implementing and developing a simple android-based financial application as a medium in compiling financial reports for MSMEs in Pari Serdang Bedagai City Village. This type of research is descriptive using a qualitative approach. The data analysis techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study were obtained that in the financial recording of MSMEs in the area in the village of Pari Serdang Bedagai City, they have not used android-based financial applications, they still use simple and manual recording. Their obstacle is the lack of knowledge about android-based financial applications in compiling financial reports due to the level of education and lack of socialization. From the results of research and discussion, it is known that the level of education in the IT field affects the application and development of android-based financial applications in compiling financial reports.

Online Medium of International Linkage; Entrepreneurs and Youngsters

Since 2016, the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0) has contributed a positive effect on current business and educational developments in Malaysia. Therefore, various organisations are actively engaged in sharing knowledge and information with the public as part of the impact of the establishment. Hence, higher education institutions (IPT) and non-governmental organisations are collaborating to provide early exposure to youth, particularly in the fields of education and business. Due to society's current interest in modernisation, particularly in this digitally driven period, business patterns have accelerated, powering the economies of nations. In response, the online International Linkage Entrepreneur and Youngster (ILEY) program was initiated to share thoughts with the youth and the public. ILEY provided an opportunity for students and fresh graduates to explore the concept of entrepreneurship. The platform focuses on the fundamental online business, as well as the latest technology and applications for online marketing. ILEY was held online, with the involvement of entrepreneurs from Malaysia and Indonesia. This research was conducted using the survey method. The survey form received responses from 110 participants based in Malaysia and Indonesia. The online participants were satisfied with ILEY. During the event, these speakers shared their viewpoints on small business management and strategies for dealing with business issues.

Modern business developments show that the success of a company depends not only on quality products, but also on the overall consumer experience. Product quality and facilities are key factors that can shape the level of consumer satisfaction. This research aims to explore effective strategies in increasing consumer satisfaction through improving product quality and facilities. With a deep understanding of the impact of both, companies can design more appropriate strategies to meet consumer expectations. The research method involves quantitative analysis to assess consumer perceptions of product and facility quality. Consumer surveys, interviews, and statistical data analysis are used to construct a comprehensive picture of the relationships between these variables. This research reveals that strategies to increase consumer satisfaction that focus on improving product quality and facilities provide a significant positive impact. Business decisions informed by the results of this research can help companies optimize their resources to achieve competitive advantage.

Judicial Review of the Application of Corporate Legal Veil in Malaysia and Indonesia: A Legal Comparison

This study aims to find a comparison of the Legal Corporate Veil between Malaysia and Indonesia. This research is a normative legal research as a literature review. It is found that in corporate law both in Malaysia and Indonesia there is a principle of limited liability between shareholders and company directors known as Separate Legal Entity. This principle essentially asserts that a person's responsibility in a company is limited to their responsibility within the company and does not extend to personal liability. In Malaysia, this regulation is governed by Section 20 of the Companies Act 2016. Meanwhile, in Indonesia, this principle is scattered in the provisions of the Limited Liability Company Act (UU PT) applicable to shareholders, directors, and commissioners. However, this principle may become inapplicable in certain cases, known as Piercing The Corporate Veil. In Malaysia, this is regulated under the Companies Act 2016 as well as several judicial decisions. In Indonesia, this principle becomes inapplicable if shareholders act in bad faith by using the company for personal gain and are involved in legal actions undertaken by the Company. One form of protection from personal liability for Directors and Commissioners is implemented based on the Business Judgement Rule principle. Personal liability does not apply if Directors and Commissioners can prove that the company's loss is not due to their negligence, they have acted in good faith, have no conflict of interest, and have taken action to prevent losses. In this study, there is also corporate responsibility outside the existing Limited Liability Company Law based on business and economic developments decided by The Constitutional Court.

Mendorong Motivasi Wirausaha UMKM untuk Memajukan Ekonomi Masyarakat di Kelurahan Joglo Kota Jakarta Barat

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are business entities managed by individuals, families, or small-scale business units, classified based on annual turnover, asset volume, and workforce. Effective human resource management is essential for MSMEs in systematically organizing finances, enabling business owners to understand their financial conditions and business developments. Easy access to information on assets, liabilities, equity, cash flow, and profit fluctuations provides crucial support for MSME entrepreneurs in making strategic business decisions. This activity not only motivates entrepreneurs to maintain business continuity but also guides them towards achieving desired business and economic goals. The drive to engage in entrepreneurship stems from a strong individual desire to realize self-potential through creative and innovative thinking, creating new products that have a social and economic impact on the local community. The courage to explore and implement new ideas is reinforced by strong entrepreneurial motivation, creating a positive cycle between motivation and action that strengthens the character of resilient and high-quality entrepreneurs.

The Influence of Brand Image and Product Quality on Purchasing Decisions

Nowadays, people are interested in cafes, so it’s providing opportunities for business people to open and manage cafe businesses. Developments in the cafe business have made people choose modern cafes that suit their interests. This research was carried out to know the influence of brand image and product quality on purchasing decisions. Tanduk Cafe and Eatery is a cafe that has been around for quite a long time in Malang City. Online questionnaires were distributed to consumers of Tanduk Cafe and Eatery in Malang City using a non-probability sampling method with an accidental sampling technique. The sample in this study amounted to 78 respondents. This research shows the results of data processing using PLS. From the research results it can be concluded that brand image and product quality have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions.

Implementation of Competitive Adaptation and Resilience Strategies Post Covid-19 Pandemic in Halal Food SMEs

SME industry saves the nation's economy, 10.79 million people (7.71 percent) of the Indonesian population work in providing accommodation and food. Knowing the survival ability of industry players on a mike scale is very important. This study used a mixed method, with descriptive analysis to determine the survival ability of the "Pempek Bicik Nina", Palembang, company post-pandemic. Using the SWOT analysis, and internal-external weighting, the Four Step Strategy determines the most appropriate strategy, to be able to overcome challenges by taking advantage of all possible opportunities. Results showed that several weaknesses must be immediately corrected to optimize revenue potential, in the form of more extensive digital marketing, and innovation in product variants, including embracing more public figures as catalysts to leverage. Innovation in product variants is also needed to maintain the attractiveness so that it can continue to attract old customers, as well as attract the interest of new consumers. The cost leadership strategy was maintained. The ability to control costs, and operational efficiency, is very important to maintain profitability and competitiveness. By adapting to all digital world business developments and its product innovation, "PBN", can maintain business continuity. In particular, by combining digital marketing strategies, product innovation, embracing more public figures, and cost leadership strategies, halal SMEs "PBN" can continue to develop and succeed in the halal SME culinary market.

The Effect of Service Quality and Social Media Marketing on The Purchase Decision in Roemah Coffee

Business developments that are happening at this time make a lot of competition in doing business increasingly tight between companies, one of which is the café business. Intense competition among business people requires business people to provide the best for their customers in order to increase purchasing decisions for a company. This study aims to determine the effect of product quality and social media marketing on purchasing decisions at Roemah Kesambi Coffee. The sample in this study was 96 people using incidental sampling. The data analysis method used is multiple regression analysis. The results of the partial research (t test) show that the product quality variable has a significant effect on purchasing decisions.

Multinational corporations and grand challenges: part of the problem, part of the solution?

PurposeThe purpose of this study is to address the relationship between multinational corporations (MNCs) and grand challenges. Stressing the moderating impact of stakeholders and governments, it frames and introduces the six contributions of the special issue, equally divided into those illustrating how MNCs contribute to the existence of grand challenges and those exploring how MNCs contribute to addressing grand challenges.Design/methodology/approachBased on a review of the existing literature on the relationship between MNCs and grand challenges and recent developments in mainstream international business, the viewpoint emphasizes the need to move beyond a one-sided focus on the positive contributions of MNCs to grand challenges.FindingsThe special issue contributions reveal that even established MNCs are actively engaged in strategic efforts to perpetuate unsustainable practices and minimize the impact of societal rules and stakeholders. The contributions also highlight the complications when MNCs aim to tackle grand challenges.Practical implicationsDisplaying positive practices of how MNCs contribute to the solution of grand challenges should not be considered a functional substitute for regulatory action, contrary to the frequent assertion of MNCs and their political representatives.Originality/valueThis special issue is the first one in IB to address the relationship between MNCs and grand challenges from an empirical vantage point.

Enhancing portfolio management using artificial intelligence: literature review.

Building an investment portfolio is a problem that numerous researchers have addressed for many years. The key goal has always been to balance risk and reward by optimally allocating assets such as stocks, bonds, and cash. In general, the portfolio management process is based on three steps: planning, execution, and feedback, each of which has its objectives and methods to be employed. Starting from Markowitz's mean-variance portfolio theory, different frameworks have been widely accepted, which considerably renewed how asset allocation is being solved. Recent advances in artificial intelligence provide methodological and technological capabilities to solve highly complex problems, and investment portfolio is no exception. For this reason, the paper reviews the current state-of-the-art approaches by answering the core question of how artificial intelligence is transforming portfolio management steps. Moreover, as the use of artificial intelligence in finance is challenged by transparency, fairness and explainability requirements, the case study of post-hoc explanations for asset allocation is demonstrated. Finally, we discuss recent regulatory developments in the European investment business and highlight specific aspects of this business where explainable artificial intelligence could advance transparency of the investment process.

SISTEM INFORMASI ANALISIS AKUNTANSI PENJUALAN BERBASIS WEB PADA DJAROT CELL MENGGUNAKAN METODE TIME SERIES

Djarot Cell is a company that provides credit for all operators, electric credit and vouchers. Djarot Cell is located at JL. Lebo Islamic Boarding School RT/RW; 03/05 Gringsing. The Sales Information System at Djarot Cell is not yet equipped with a sales plan. The absence of sales planning for the future makes it difficult to determine future sales targets and the number of sales targets that have been achieved and the form of reports that are still manual makes it difficult for owners to see business developments. Because the condition of the Djarot Cell company is that sales data can fluctuate every month.
 Based on this research, the author created a Web-Based Sales Accounting Analysis Information System application on Djarot Cell using the Time Series Method.
 The author hopes that this sales accounting analysis information system can make it easier for owners to make decisions, especially for managing data more regularly which will influence the company's finances for the better and be able to determine and know the size of sales plans and sales that have been achieved in a certain period.

Eskalasi Sentimen Positif Terhadap Loyalitas Konsumen Melalui Optimalisasi Strategi Pemasaran

Business development is an indicator of economic progress so that in the process it experiences various kinds of changes which pressure companies to continue to adapt to business developments. The aim of this research is to examine in general the field factors that can influence the increase in positive sentiment towards consumer loyalty through various business strategies. The research methodology is direct observation and is included in the field research category, which is direct observation of the object being studied. This study contains the general population which is interpreted into three objects, namely Toko Emas A, Toko Emas B, and Toko Emas C. The research results show that indirectly Toko Emas A can be said to be superior because of its strategic location, excellent service, and good supporting facilities. can make it easier for consumers, as well as good product displays and layout so as to provide comfort to consumers. Toko Emas A implements marketing strategies well and thoroughly, which will get a positive response and can increase consumer interest in buying the products offered. The compatibility between theoretical knowledge and field implementation so that it can be used as a basis for developing marketing strategies by companies.

Analisis Studi Kelayakan Bisnis Ekspansi Pasar Pada UMKM CV Siraj Fawwaz Di Wilayah Ciwidey Kabupaten Bandung

Business Feasibility Study measurement needs to be done as testing material in carrying out business developments carried out. In this case, CV Siraj Fawwaz conducts business development by expanding the market as a form of business development by adjusting to market trends that develop today. This study aims to analyze the business feasibility that will be developed by CV Siraj Fawwaz. The method used in this study is to use the ratio analysis method from the data obtained through interviews with business owners CV Siraj Fawwaz. The results of this study were determined through several business feasibility study analyses with the results: 1) Ppayback Period (PP) showing results of 3 years 9 months means PP less than investment time, then CV Siraj Fawwaz's business development is declared feasible; 2) Profitability Index (PI) shows a result of 3.31 means that the PI is more than one, then the business development carried out by CV Siraj Fawwaz is declared feasible; 3) Net Present Value (NPV) shows a result of 3,680,592.58, NPV value shows a positive value meaning that the business development of CV Siraj Fawwaj is declared feasible; 4) Internal Rate Of Return (IRR) showed a result of 18.42%, meaning that IRR's position was between NPV1 and NPV2, so CV Siraj Fawwaj's business development was declared feasible; and 5) Break Event Point (BEP) in CV Siraj Fawwaj's business development will be declared breakeven if BEP per unit is 6,353 and BEP per rupiah is IDR 95,290,702 for 2023.

ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR KEPUTUSAN PEMBELIAN PRODUK AIR MINUM DALAM KEMASAN STUDI KASUS KONSUMEN AMDK SUKABELA DI KABUPATEN SEMARANG

Increasingly advanced business developments have resulted in increasingly fierce competition in the business world, therefore companies are always trying to increase market share and reach new customers. Basically, the more competitors, the more choices for consumers to choose products that match their expectations. So that from these changes, consumers become more careful in choosing new products that are launched. The purpose of this research is to determine the factors of purchasing decisions for packaged drinking water products in case studies of voluntary drinking water consumers in Semarang district. The type of research used is explanatory research. The population in this study is the entire population in this study are people who have bought AMDK Sukabela products in Semarang Regency. Using the sampling technique used, namely the alternative formula Lemeshow (1997), a sample of 96 respondents was obtained. The results of multiple regression analysis for the price variable on purchasing decisions obtained tcount 3.754, promotions on purchasing decisions obtained tcount 3.036 and distribution channels on purchasing decisions obtained tcount 3.527. Based on the Fcount test, the Fcount value is 41,926. The results of the study can be concluded that the variable price, promotion and distribution channels have a partial effect. Analysing firm-level impacts of high-speed railways on reducing business costs: evidence from China

ABSTRACT Numerous studies have revealed that high-speed railways (HSRs) can efficiently reduce transportation costs for firms and therefore bring more business capacities to firms in regions with HSR services. This paper aims to adopt the difference-in-difference (DID) and PSM (propensity score matching) DID methods to examine the HSR’s causal effects on business costs. The author finds that business costs are significantly reduced due to the operation of HSR lines. Besides, private firms and firms in the secondary and tertiary sectors would experience more reductions of business costs encouraged by the HSR than state-owned and agricultural firms. The placebo test and parallel trend test have proved the feasibility of this study. Finally, this paper provides policy suggestions that the construction of HSR lines needs to be encouraged in order to promote the higher efficiency of business operations for firms and more-balanced spatial business developments in China.
