The Role of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Increasing Community Income in Buleleng Bali

The presence of BUMDes is an implementation of Law no. 6 of 2014 concerning villages in an effort to increase community income through mobilizing village potential which is formed directly according to community initiatives.Thus, the presence of BUMDes must be seen as a process that includes various changes to the social structure, community participation and existing institutions, as well as pursuing accelerated economic growth. One of the villages that established BUMDes with the aim of strengthening the economy of Bebetin Village, Sawan District, Buleleng Regency is BUMDes Banwa Bharu which was founded in 2009. This type of research uses qualitative research, namely research aimed at describing and analyzing phenomena, events, social activities, attitudes, beliefs, perceptions and thoughts individually and in groups. The research results show that BUMDes Banwa Bharu is a facility or business unit that can help the community increase their income. The role of BUMDes Banwa Bharu in helping overcome the community's economic problems is sufficient, although not optimal. Several business units run by BUMDes Banwa Bharu have been running well, as can be seen from the ease with which people can borrow capital to develop their businesses. Although there is one type of business that is not running, namely tourism management, such as cow racing performance, which is the legacy of the ancestors of Bebetin Village, Sawan District, Buleleng Regency.

Performance of Village-Owned Enterprises and Achievement of Development Goals in Buleleng Bali

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the financial performance of the Village Enterprises "Valli Karya Lestari" and the contribution of its performance to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of Bengkala Village. This research was conducted at Village Enterprises "Valli Karya Lestari" Bengkala Village, Kubutambahan District, Buleleng Regency. The analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative analysis (mix-method). Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that the financial performance of Village Enterprises "Valli Karya Lestari" from the aspects of poor capital, good asset development, business results achieved has decreased, aspects Return On Asset still below standard, and aspects Return On Equity (ROE) has a ratio that is still much lower than the industry standard ratio. Village Enterprises "Valli Karya Lestari" has contributed to 8 programs Village SDGs from18 Village SDGs programs, namely: villages without poverty, healthy and prosperous villages, quality village education, gender equality, villages worthy of clean water and sanitation, jobs and economic growth, village innovation, villages without gaps. Village Enterprises "Valli Karya Lestari" has also contributed to 5 programs Village SDGs it's just not intensive and optimal, namely; villages without hunger, sustainable village settlements, environmentally conscious village consumption and production, Village of peace and justice; partnership to develop villages. Improving financial performance by paying attention to efficiency in the use of assets and own capital. The advice given is to be careful in using external capital because it bears more risk, improving employee performance, exploring village potential together with the village government, increasing village participation capital. coordinate more with the village government in supporting the Village SDGs program.

Association Between Antidiabetic Pattern with Medication Adherence in Type 2 Diabetes Patients at Buleleng Hospital

Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease which requires long-term therapy. Medication adherence plays an important role for therapeutic success in patients with T2DM. Antidiabetic usage pattern might involve with some problems related to medication adherence. Objectives: The aim of this study was to analyze the association between antidiabetic usage pattern with medication adherence. Material and Methods: This observational study was conducted cross-sectionally involving 90 participants of T2DM outpatient at Private Hospital in Buleleng Bali during July-September 2020. Patients were included if aged ≥18 years, received the same antidiabetic for three months before the study, signed informed consent, and provided with complete medical record data. Patients were excluded if appeared to be unwell, pregnant or breastfeeding. Demographic data and antidiabetic usage patterns were collected retrospectively based on the patient's medical records. Probabilistic Medication Adherence Scale (ProMAS) questionnaire was used to assess medication adherence. Data were analyzed with Kruskal-Wallis test. Results: The results showed that 55.6% patients were male, aged 46-65 years (61.1%), education predominantly by elementary school (37.8%), had suffered from DM for 5-10 years (46.7%), with comorbidities (50%), and without complications (77.8%). The antidiabetic usage pattern was dominated by a combination of two antidiabetics (53.3%). Most patients (42.2%) showed moderate-high medication adherence. There was no statistically significant association between antidiabetic usage pattern and medication adherence (p=0.275). Conclusions: A higher rate of medication adherence was found in patients taking combination of two antidiabetics compared to combination of three or four antidiabetics.

ANALYSIS OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC IMPACTS OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC USING FACTOR ANALYSIS

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence the socio-economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses explanatory factor analysis that is an analysis that forms new random factors in which the later formed factors or constructs can be interpreted. The case study was conducted in Sawan Village, Sawan District, Buleleng Bali, with six variables explaining the economic impact, and 16 variables explaining the social impact. The results of the study show that there are three factors that explain the economic impact due to Covid-19. They are the income factor, the purchase of quotas and gadgets, and the expenditure factor with the total variance described being 82,178 percent. Meanwhile, the social impact due to the Covid-19 pandemic is explained by three factors, namely the fear of interacting in public places, the fear factor of doing activities outside the home, and the fear of using public facilities with a total variance that can be explained is 73,609 percent.

POLITENESS STRATEGIES APPLIED BY STUDENTS IN THE CONTEXT OF CLASSROOM IN VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

This study has the purpose to explore the politeness strategies of students in a vocational school, how the teachers and students apply the politeness strategies, and the implication of politeness strategies applied to the student’s good character improvement. Descriptive qualitative research was applied in this study which explored the phenomena of politeness in the teaching-learning process. There were 16 classes which consisted of 464 students of XI grade in one of the vocational schools in Buleleng Bali as the participants of this research. 140 students from the hospitality department and 10 teachers were taken as samples for this study. The sources of the primary input were the teachers’ and students’ interactions in the classrooms which were observed and recorded. Ten transcriptions were collected from the observations of ten teachers observed when they taught in the Tourism Department. These transcriptions then were analyzed and reviewed according to Brown and Levinson’s politeness theory in 1987. This research showed that the vocational students applied some types of expressions such as greetings, thanking, addressing, apologizing, and filling. Some expressions or terms were derived from the daily language, which was applied to soften the students’ and teachers’ interactions. All the expressions were grouped into politeness which is positive and negative. The results of this research could be applied as a recommendation for the teachers and students to make the interaction in the classroom effective. The Association Between Medication Adherence and Blood Pressure Control in End-Stage Renal Disease Patients with Hemodialysis

End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) is a severe kidney disorder that contributes to an increased risk of mortality in the world. This condition is often related with hypertension. Low medication adherence was affecting uncontrolled blood pressure in ESRD. The research aimed to analyze the association between medication adherence and blood pressure control in ESRD patients. This cross-sectional study with 77 respondents was conducted in September 2020 at the Dialysis Unit of the Private Hospital “X” Buleleng Bali by purposive sampling technique. The respondents must be ≥18 years, diagnosed with ESRD and hypertension, underwent hemodialysis (HD) twice a week, received the same antihypertensive for 3 months, have complete medical record data, and signed the informed consent form. Patients with cognitive impairment, unable to communicate, pregnant or breastfeeding, and received the Erythropoiesis Stimulating Agent (ESA) treatment were excluded. Kruskal-Wallis test was used in data analysis. Most of the patients were <65 years (80.52%), male (70.13%), primary education (57.14%), without complications (57.1%), and duration of illness <5 years (89.61%). Patients were in the high adherence (61.04%) and 66.23% of patients had uncontrolled blood pressure. The association between medication adherence and blood pressure control was not significant (p=0.478). However, these results show that high medication adherence could impact on good blood pressure control.

Identification of Motivation and Self-Actualization Dance Studio Students

Student’s motivation in participating in dance lessons in a dance studio can determine the success of the learning process. This study aims to identify the motivation and self-actualization of dance studio students. Research respondents are 220 dance studio students from Denpasar and Buleleng Bali. The research was conducted using a questionnaire distributed through the google form application. The questionnaire consists of 8 question items with predetermined answer choices. The results of the study indicate that hobbies are the main reason for students to choose dance. The self-actualization of students is shown to be sufficient for them to be involved in dance performances.

EFFORTS OF A MINORITY MOSLEM DIASPORA TO BUILD A SOCIAL IDENTITY IN BALI

The Pegayaman Muslim diaspora historically originated from Java. Pegayaman, the village they live in, is one of the largest Islamic villages in Buleleng Bali. For them, Islam is a religion that not only contains a belief system that has abstract values, but also becomes a cultural attribute that distinguishes them from the Balinese Hindu community in its environment. In this context, they must have a social identity to show. The question that can be asked is how this diaspora that resides amidst the majority of the Balinese Hindus build their social identity? The objective of this research is to find out and discuss the efforts done by this community to build their identity. The method used is a sociolinguistic study utilizing a qualitative method. The data collected were in the form of authentic verbal linguistic data, which consist of conversations in five language domains. The data were collected using the (non-)participatory observation method and interviews. Both the participatory and the non-participatory observation took 6 months. Three interviews in five different language domains which involved seven interviewees were carried out. To obtain the data in question, a number of five families and their social networks were taken purposively as research subjects. To ensure data saturation, snowballing technique was also used. A number of important informants such as penglingsir ’adat elderly’, religious and traditional leaders (Guru), penghulu, and mekel or village heads were also involved as data sources. The study found the followings. The most obvious phenomenon is that they use Bahasa Bali in informal language domains by adapting some of its dialectal features. They are also adaptive, accommodative, and assimilable to the Balinese culture and traditions. The accommodation was shown in the implementation of the systems of Subak ‘the Balinese traditional irrigation system’ and Banjar ‘part of a hamlet’. The adaptation was in a number of tradition-related activities: Muludan Base, Muludan Taluh, Penapean, Penyajaan, Penampahan, Ngemanisin, and Ngejot. The assimilation was also seen in the Terms of Address and Terms of Reference used. Through these accommodative and adaptive efforts, they manage to build their social identity with the hope that their existence could be recognized and accepted, and thus they can practice their beliefs and faith, and practice and pass on their culture well

PEMBUATAN DEKORASI RUMAH PENGANTIN DI DWIKA DEKORASI DESA SELAT, BULELENG, BALI

This article contains part of the thesis entitled "Making Bridal Home Decorations in Dwika Decorating Selat Village, Buleleng Bali" qualitative research with the objectives: (1) To describe the existence of bridal house decorations in Dwika Decorating Selat Village, Buleleng, Bali. (2) To find out the materials and tools used in making decorations at the gate of the bride's house (3) To understand and know the process of making decorations for the gate of the bridal house and (4) To find out the designs and motifs used in decorating the gates of the bridal house in Dwika Decorating Selat Village, Buleleng, Bali. The data was obtained through the stages of observation and interviews with the business owner of Deika Decor then the data was processed using the Sparadley model (1980) by analyzing the domain and taxonomy. , Bali . (2) the materials used are teak wood, coconut leaves (young, old, and dry), rope (bamboo rope, macrame rope), paint, wire, and nails, while for scissors, saws, knives (large and small) , pliers, tape measure, hammer, kacip (shooter blade and ordinary kacip), and brush. (3) Making decorations for the gate of the bride's house, namely the ordering process, making the frame, making hisan, and installing it. (4) designs and decorations are of two types, namely traditional and modern designs.

Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam dalam Meningkatkan Harga Diri Muallaf di Buleleng Bali

Islamic guidance and counseling is the process of providing directed, continuous and systematic assistance to each individual so that he can develop his potential or religious na- ture optimally by internalizing the values contained in the Qur’an and Hadith. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of Islamic guidance and counseling in increasing the self-esteem of converts to Islam in Buleleng Bali. This study uses an action research met- hod using a cognitive approach. The results of the research that has been done regarding the process of Islamic Counseling Guidance to increase self-esteem in converts in Buleleng Ba- li, then: the counselee must think positively, make peace with the circumstances experien- ced, and read istigfar every day.

Hubungan Pendidikan dan Paritas Ibu Terhadap Pemilihan KB Di Puskesmas Banjar II Buleleng Bali

KB is used to improve the welfare of mothers and children in order to realize the norms of small families happy prosperous which is the basis of the realization of a prosperous society by promoting birth while ensuring the control of the population. The higher the level of education the more rational the decision-making, one of which is in the use of kb. Parity can affect a person's birth control because the more children are born, the higher the mother's desire to limit birth. This condition will encourage a mother to use birth control. To know the education and parity of the mother to the election of KB in Banjar Health center II Buleleng Bali. This type of research is quantitative with cross sectional design. The study was conducted in July 2020 with a total sample of 236 respondents. Sampling techniques using total sampling. Research instruments use observation sheets. Analyze data using Chi square. The results of the education univariate test surveyed 162 respondents (68.6%), multipara parity 187 respondents (79.2%), hormonal KB 227 respondents (96.2%), age ≤30 ≥30 years 118 respondents (50.0%), not working 142 respondents (60.2%). Educational bivariate test results with KB show p value of 1,000 and parity with KB shows p value 0.947. No education relations and parity of the election of the KB in Banjar Health center II Buleleng Bali.

ANALYSIS BETWEEN THE NUMBER OF ANTIHYPERTENSIVE WITH MEDICATION ADHERENCE IN END STAGE RENAL DISEASE


 End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) is a condition of severe renal damage associated with a higher incidence of hypertension that requires antihypertensive therapy to prevent the worsening disease. Therefore, patients who received more than two types of antihypertensives have affected medication adherence. This study aimed to analyze relationship between the number of antihypertensives and medication adherence in ESRD patients. The study was a cross-sectional design involving 77 participants selected by a purposive sampling technique at Outpatient Private Hospital Buleleng Bali in July-September 2020. Data were collected based on patient’s medical records and the Probabilistic Medication Adherence Scale (ProMAS) questionnaire. The inclusion criteria were ESRD patients aged ≥18 years, with hypertension history, taking the same antihypertensive for three months before the study, sign informed consent, and completed medical record data. Those who were a weak general condition and cognitive impairment were excluded from the study. Data were analyzed using a Kruskal-Wallis test. The results showed that overall, of patients were <65 years old (80.52%), male (70.13%), duration of ESRD <5 years (89.61%), primarily high school (57.14%), and without complications (57.1%). Most patients used a combination of two antihypertensives (35.07%), and 61.04% has a high medication adherence. There was no significant relationship between the number of antihypertensives and medication adherence (p=0.847). Nevertheless, it was still shown that the higher number of antihypertensives in ESRD patients was directly proportional to the lower medication adherence.
 

Kulwap”: a trend of health promotion during the COVID-19 pandemic, Implementation of the STIKES Buleleng Community Partnership Project

The pandemic of COVID-19 has brought the global community into a new perspective of living. Due to the social distancing protocol, face to face meetings should be avoided. This could be a barrier in implementing the previous health promotion programs which were based on group gatherings. Hence, nowadays, the online approach has become a promising strategy. The intensive use of social media platforms in Indonesia serves as a great opportunity to penetrate the public awareness of society. The initiation of “Kulwap” (Kuliah WhatsApp or lecturing by WhatsApp), which is an approach to gather a group of people in a WhatsApp Group and deliver a lecture to this group through the application is also being implemented in STIKes Buleleng Bali. The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of WhatsApp as a media of health promotion. It is a part of the community partnership integrated into the educational process of nursing students. During the program, there were four major topics promoted: Non-Communicable Disease (NCD), Communicable Disease, and Wellness and Child Health Issues. This program succeeded in involving 357 participants who lived in Bali. Based on the participants’ feedback, the engagement was successful due to the use of WhatsApp as the preferred social media platform (84.3%), the beneficial contents being shared during the Kulwap (65.5%), the attractiveness of media being used in the lecture (82.8%) and the way of delivery was easy to be understood (70.3%). Almost all (98.6%) of the participants expressed their willingness to rejoin the program. Therefore, the study concluded that the use of Kulwap serves is an effective and acceptable strategy to establish a health promotion initiative during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Screening Extract EtOAc Sponge Derived Fungi Against Clinical Staphylococcus aureus to Obtain Sustainable Natural Product

The increasing resistance of pathogenic bacteria to various antibiotics worldwide has become a severe problem for medicine and human health. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of extract ethyl acetate (EtOAc) produced by sponge-derived fungi as an antibacterial agent. This study obtained nineteen fungal isolates from the marine sponges in Singaraja, Buleleng Bali, Indonesia. The pathogenic bacteria Staphylococcus aureus was obtained from patients at Abdul Moeloek Hospital, Bandar Lampung. The susceptibility test of Staphylococcus aureus was carried out on nine types of commercial antibiotics using the disk diffusion method. The solid-state fermentation (SSF) method on rice media carried the cultivation and co-cultivation of fungi. The bioactivity of the extract was tested against pathogenic bacteria S. aureus. The results of the susceptibility test to antibiotics showed S. aureus resistance to amoxicillin, ciprofloxacin, erythromycin. Showed that extracts A12RF, A05RF, C36RF had inhibitory activity against the growth of S. aureus at a concentration of 0,5mg/mL. These results indicate that co-cultivation can induce fungi to produce different secondary metabolites. This basic information is essential for further studies related to the production of fungal bioactive compounds through the co-cultivation stage in the SSF process.

Hubungan antara Asupan Gizi dengan Status Gizi Remaja Putri

<p>Three burdens of malnutrition, namely undernutrition, overnutrition, and lack of macronutrients are problems faced by adolescents in Indonesia. Nutritional problems related to development and growth are often experienced by adolescents because the adolescent's body requires more energy and nutrients than children. Previous studies on nutritional intake and nutritional status in adolescents reported inconsistent results. This study aims to determine the relationship between nutritional intake and nutritional status in adolescent girls in Buleleng Bali. This study uses a cross-sectional analytic observational design conducted in two high schools in Buleleng Regency with 163 respondents. The instruments used in this study were a questionnaire, 2x24 hour food recall, weight measurement with a weight scale, height measurement with a mechanical meter, and the World Health Organization (WHO) AnthroPlus software to calculate the body mass index by age (z-score). Spearman correlation test was performed for bivariate analysis and multiple linear regression for multivariate analysis. Bivariate analysis showed that the variables of fat intake (p-value=<0,001) and total energy intake (p-value=0,008) showed a significant correlation with the z-score. In multivariate analysis, the variable that showed a significant relationship with the z-score was fat intake (β=0,023, 95%CI=0,013-0,033, p-value=<0,001). Nutritional intake that has a significant relationship with nutritional status in adolescent girls in Buleleng Regency is fat intake. Limitation of fat consumption needs to be done.</p>

Analisis Bibliometrik Jurnal PARI Periode 2016-2020

Bibliometric analysis was carried out on PARI journal for the period 2016-2020 with the aim of knowing: 1) The number of articles published; 2) Authorization pettern; 3) Degree of collaboration; 4) The gender of the author; 5) The most productive writer; 6) The gender of writer; 7) Author’s institution; 8) The city where the author works; 9) Research topics of interest. The data sources used is the PARI journal which is downloaded from http://ejournal-balitbang.kkp.go.id/ . The data recorded incuded articles, authors, agencies and cities of authors, and keywords. The were proceed using Microsof Exel 2010, and the results were presented in tabular form for discussion. The conclusion obtained is that during 2016-2020 as many as 75barticles were published, with the most articles written individually more (67 titles;89,33%), compare to article written in collaboration (8 titles; 10,67%), and the degree of collaboration is 0.11. A total of 22 female writers (57.89%) are more than 16 (14.11%) male writers. The most productive writer is Ketut Masiani who wrote 8 articles form Balai Besar Riset Budidaya Laut dan Penyuluh Pertanian, Buleleng Bali. Sekolah Usaha Perikanan Menengah Sorong is in the forst place (4;30,77%), for the category of academic institution. In the category of research institution it is known that Pusat Riset Kelautan Badan Riset dan Sumber Daya Manusia Kelautan dan Perikanan (27;43,54%). Critical thinking disposition inventory: Its validity and reliability

In everyday life, we are always faced with problems. In trying to solve problems, we need higher-order thinking. One of higher-order thinking is critical thinking. Critical thinking includes critical thinking dispositions and skills. The critical thinking dispositions are an attitude or soul to develop critical thinking skills. This study aimed to describe the validity and reliability of the inventory of critical thinking dispositions. Testing of inventory used survey research. The testing was conducted at the public senior high schools in Buleleng Bali Indonesia. The population of the study was 4579 students from natural science classes. The samples were determined using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. By the margin of error of 5%, the minimum number of samples needed was 355 people. By considering a return rate of 80%, the number of samples drawn was 444 people. The number of questionnaires returned by the students was 443. The data obtained were analyzed using the moment product correlation statistics and Cronbach’s Alpha to determine the validity and reliability of inventory, respectively. The results showed that the instrument’s validity is in the range of 0.095 to 0.756. Meanwhile, the reliability of the instrument is 0.727. There are two invalid items from 62 items. It can be concluded that this inventory of critical thinking dispositions can be used to measure the critical thinking dispositions of senior high school students.

Identification of local sesars of tejakula buleleng bali with anomaly gravity data using second vertical derivative method

Research has been carried out related to subsurface structures in the Tejakula Buleleng Bali area and its surroundings using the gravity method. This study aims to identify the local Tejakula fault. The data used in this study is gravity anomaly data obtained from observations of Geodetic Satellite (GEOSAT). The method used in interpreting the type of disturbance uses the Second Vertical Derivative method, which then produces two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) fault model interpretations. Based on the results obtained in the study, the condition of the bouguer gravity anomaly value in the Tejakula area and its surroundings at the research location is in the range of 65 mGal to 185 mGal. Meanwhile, based on the Second Vertical Derivative method in determining the type of fault, the Tejakula Fault can be categorized as a mandatory fault with an upward trend.
