Productivity and Quality of Facilities and Infrastructure as Support for RRI Tolitoli Broadcasting

This research aims to answer the basic problems faced by Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Tolitoli in increasing the productivity and quality of broadcasting facilities and infrastructure. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive research methods, this research was conducted at the Republic of Indonesia Radio Public Broadcasting Institute (LPP RRI) Tolitoli over a three-month period. Primary data was obtained through direct observation and in-depth interviews with six informants selected purposively. The research results show that RRI Tolitoli faces a number of challenges in increasing productivity and broadcast quality, especially related to poor infrastructure conditions. Through analysis of productivity and quality variables, research findings highlight the need for improvements in technical and managerial aspects. Although RRI Tolitoli has demonstrated a strong commitment to providing quality broadcasting services, there is still room for significant improvement in terms of technical infrastructure and resource management. The recommendations resulting from this research can become the basis for continuous improvement efforts in public broadcasting in Indonesia, with the main aim of meeting public demands for broadcasting that is informative, high quality and has a positive impact.

An ANALYSIS OF DVB-T2 TV BROADCAST TESTING DRIVE TEST AND FIELD STRENGTH METHODS IN THE JAKARTA SERVICE AREA

Indonesia has adopted DVB-T2 as the technology standard for terrestrial digital television broadcasting. This research aims to test and analyze the reception quality of DVB-T2 TV broadcasts in the DKI Jakarta service area. The research was conducted using drive test and field strength methods to test and evaluate the quality of digital television broadcasts. Tests were conducted in various locations in the DKI Jakarta service area using the Gsertel Hexylon TV Analyzer technical device to test DVB-T2 TV broadcast signals. The field strength test results were more accurate and higher values were generated than the drive test. Several parameters such as signal level and MER are evaluated and analyzed to find out what affects their values. The transmitter parameter settings such as modulation, FEC code rate, FFT Mode, Guard Interval, and Pilot Pattern greatly affect the signal level and MER values. The optimization performed on CH 24 also managed to maintain its signal level value of 18.19 dB and its MER of 55.01 dBµV to maintain broadcast stability during a technical failure of the transmitter on CH 1.

Strategi TVRI Medan dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas Siaran di Era 4.0

This research examines TVRI Medan's strategies for improving broadcast quality in the era of 4.0 using qualitative descriptive qualitative research methods, data collection techniques such as observation and interviews. The results show that TVRI Medan's strategies for enhancing broadcast quality in the 4.0 Era involve the use of the latest technology, development of digital platforms, collaboration with educational institutions and local creative agencies, and more active interaction with the audience. TVRI Medan's success in improving broadcast quality is attributed in part to the availability of adequate broadcasting technology support. This significantly influences the quality of broadcast programs, as the general public tends to prefer media with high-quality content. TVRI continues to enhance quality to adapt to changing media trends, improve the appeal and quality of broadcasts, and develop innovative content.

Student Responses to the Policy of KPID West Java Regarding Religious Programs in Television

The study aimed to explain and analyze Student Responses to Policy Circular Number 1 of 2022 KPID West Java concerning Religious Programs in Television. Policy Circular containing guidelines for radio and television broadcasting institutions in West Java regarding how religious broadcasts should be carried out. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method with a single case. Primary data were obtained from in-depth and focused interviews with informants, field observations in the form of notes about situations and events, and informant data. Researchers selected all informants in this study using purposive and snowball sampling techniques. College students are aware of the circular letter through the West Java KPID website and social media, watch religious broadcasts that offend other religions, appreciate this circular letter, and hope that the quality of religious broadcasts will increase and support national integration. College students participate actively by criticizing religious issues, being responsive in reporting violations of religious programs, and educating those closest to them about broadcasting policies. The research conclusion is that West Java KPID Circular Letter Number 1 of 2022 is relevant in overcoming broadcasting problems developing in West Java. KPID is responsive in its efforts to create inter-religious harmony and national integration through its policies.

E-commerce Live Streaming Interaction Quality, Immersion Experience and Consumer Purchase Intention

Abstract With the rapid development of the digital economy, the wave of e-commerce live broadcasting has swept all walks of life and become the new force of online shopping. Based on the S-O-R model, this paper establishes a theoretical model affecting consumers’ purchase intention. It puts forward relevant research hypotheses from the dimensions of seller-consumer interaction, anchor-consumer interaction, and consumer-to-consumer interaction of e-commerce live broadcast interaction. Then, effective sample data are collected through the questionnaire survey method, and multiple regression analysis and correlation analysis models are used to explore the interrelationship between interactive quality, immersion experience, and consumers’ purchase intention in e-commerce live broadcasting. The analysis shows that the interactive quality, perceived usefulness, responsiveness, and mutual assistance of e-commerce live broadcast positively affect consumers’ immersion experience and purchase intention (Sig. <0.05), consumers’ immersion experience has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention (Sig. <0.05), and immersion experience has an important mediating role between perceived usefulness, mutual assistance, and purchase intention. This paper centers on the interactive quality and immersion experience. It puts forward corresponding enhancement suggestions for live e-commerce, which provides a basis for the development of marketing strategies for live merchants and has certain theoretical significance and practical significance.

COMMUNICATION IN THE INITIAL IMPLEMENTATION OF DIGITAL TV MIGRATION IN BEKASI CITY

The migration from analog to digital television or analog switch-off (ASO) represents a solution to overcome various limitations of analog systems. Digital television offers multicasting capabilities, enabling multiple transmission signals through a single channel, thereby addressing spectrum constraints faced by analog television. This study explores communication strategies during the initial phase of analog switch-off in Bekasi City. Theoretical frameworks like diffusion of innovations highlight the importance of communication in disseminating information and facilitating technology adoption. This research uses qualitative approaches to investigate community responses and satisfaction with digital television. Findings indicate that direct information from local officials and media channels significantly influences public readiness and acceptance of digital television. The study aligns with diffusion theory stages, illustrating how knowledge acquisition, persuasion, decision-making, implementation, and confirmation phases influence community adoption. Effective communication, supported by clear regulations and governmental policies, accelerates technology adoption and enhances user satisfaction. Insights from this study underscore the importance of proactive government support and targeted communication strategies in successful ASO implementation. The findings contribute to understanding how effective communication can facilitate technology transitions and improve broadcast quality and user experience in digital television.

The Role of the Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission in Improving the Quality of Local Religious Broadcasts

This research examines the participation and activities carried out by the Yogyakarta Province Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID) to improve the quality of broadcasting of religious shows as local broadcasts. KPID Yogyakarta Province is a supervisory body and takes action if broadcasting institutions do not comply with broadcasting regulations. As a state regulatory body with authority at the local level to improve broadcast quality, KPID Yogyakarta Province can take action if violations are found regarding broadcasts presented by broadcasting institutions. Using a qualitative approach with the application of descriptive analysis techniques, this research uses the theory of role aspects according to Biddle and Thomas in the form of Expectation, Norm, Performance, Evaluation, and Sanction. The results of this research produced several findings. First, in the expectation aspect, KPID Yogyakarta Province hopes that religious shows can become events that are popular and needed by the public. Second, regarding the Norm aspect, KPID Yogyakarta Province uses the 2002 Broadcasting Law No. 32, Broadcasting Behavior Guidelines / Broadcast Program Standards (P3/SPS), and 2016 Regional Regulation No. 13 concerning Broadcasting Operations as a valid guideline for improving the quality of local broadcasts on religious broadcasts. Third, in terms of performance, KPID Yogyakarta is involved in intense activities with local television stations, the government, and the community. Fourth, in the Evaluation and Sanction aspect, Yogyakarta Province KPID follows up on indications of violations and gives several award categories in the form of the best Religion and Belief Broadcasts every year to broadcasting institutions that have complied with broadcasting regulations.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR TELEVISION BROADCASTING EQUIPMENT IN RUSSIA

The operation of uncertified broadcasting equipment located in 85 regions of Russia is the most important problem in the development of regional broadcasting networks in the absence of system requirements for network transmitters and earth stations of satellite repeaters in the «Digital Broadcasting Television. System of terrestrial terrestrial digital television broadcasting of the second generation DVB-T2. Second generation terrestrial digital television broadcasting system DVB-T2» domestic standard. Standard system requirements are the basis for actualization of requirements to the equipment during its certification. Requirements for network transmitters and earth stations of satellite repeaters in single-frequency broadcasting networks based on the author's research, published in domestic and foreign articles, protected by patents of the Russian Federation, are presented. In particular, the system requirements to the equipment for regional multiplex formation, metrological support of SFN (Single Frequency Network) operation and distributed system of DVB-T2 standard broadcasting quality monitoring are formulated. Requirements for assessing the efficiency of SFN networks, which will make it possible to further modernize existing regional networks to improve their reliability and the quality of television and radio broadcasting in all 85 regions of the Russian Federation, and to certify equipment in accordance with the resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation are also presented. The results of the author's research will make it possible to develop a system project for the creation of digital terrestrial television broadcasting in four new regions of Russia. The prospects for the development of DVB-T2 standard equipment at the program level are considered.

Evaluation of DVB-T2 Digital TV Propagation Performance in the Bali Broadcast Area

The development of terrestrial television broadcasting technology in the world today is switching from analog broadcasting systems to digital broadcasting systems. Analog Switch Off (ASO) is the period when analog broadcasts are stopped and replaced with digital broadcasts. Through the jargon "Clean Picture, Clear Sound, Advanced Technology" people will feel better quality than analog TV. In the era of digital broadcasting, TV viewers not only watch broadcast programs but can also get additional facilities such as EPG (Electronic Program Guide) to find out the programs that have been and will be aired later. With digital broadcasting, there is the ability to provide interactive services where viewers can directly rate the sound of broadcast programs in addition to the presence of features that can be utilized, such as features related to disaster information. In this study, an evaluation of the performance of DVB-T2 Digital TV propaganda will be carried out in the Bali service area. The quality of digital TV broadcasts in the Bali broadcast area is influenced by signal propagation which is parameterized by parameters C / N (or S / N), Modulation Error Rate (MER), Bit Error Rate (BER) by measuring at the test point or location of the test point/test measurement which is the outermost limit of the service area under the Minister of Communication and Information no 23 / PER / M.KOMINFO / 11/2011. So this research can be produced a map of the quality of broadcasting services in Bali which can be used as an indicator to avoid Bali from blank spot areas that can be recommended for Digital TV operators in Bali for repeater installation planning.

ANALYSIS OF FM BROADCAST RADIO SIGNAL RECEPTION IN BORDER AREAS USING SEVERAL ANTENNA MODELS

Information is now a basic need for every people, including the people in border areas. Therefore, it is an obligation for the government to provide information media that can be reached by all levels of society, one of which is FM radio broadcast media. This research aims to identify and assess the quality of FM radio broadcasts in the border area of Sambas Regency using several antenna models which in the area is a vulnerable area of signal leakage by neighbouring countries and far from Indonesian broadcast transmitters. The assessment of FM radio broadcast quality is carried out with the determination of SINPO (Signal, Interference, Noise, Propagation, Overall) values and field strength meter measurements. The data obtained were analysed using the Miles and Hubberman interactive data processing technique. From the research conducted, it was found that 10 Malaysian FM radio broadcast channels and 2 broadcast channels from Indonesia where the dominant broadcast was received better by the yagi antenna. There were also broadcasts whose frequencies fell out of compliance with the regulations.

The Analysis of the Artistic Innovation of LED Lighting in Gymnasiums Based on Intelligent Lighting Control Systems

With people's attention to and participation in sports, large-scale and comprehensive gymnasiums have sprung up nationwide. Unlike previous small gymnasiums, large modern gymnasiums have more robust functions, more intelligent control, and humanization. However, some shortcomings remain, such as too centralized control and inflexible control. Therefore, intelligent control and energy saving of lighting will become the development direction of lighting systems. To ensure the normal progress of sports events and the quality of TV broadcast, the requirements of gym lighting are increasingly stringent, so the lighting control system of gyms has higher requirements accordingly. To solve these problems, this paper designs a gym intelligent control lighting system based on LED bus, which can adapt to the corresponding lighting scenes of different venues. The experimental results show that the intelligent lighting control system designed in this paper can run normally and stably, and can complete the detection of crucial working parameters. This system can automatically control the light and dark and switch off according to the indoor lighting brightness, achieving a sound energy saving effect, improving the lighting environment, and achieving the desired goal.

Developing the positive performance of satellite channels by improving product presentation processes in their television programmes

In the age of communications that we live in, many technological developments have taken place in the field of broadcasting, as in every field. With these developments, broadcast quality has increased and the number of TV channels has increased, with the digital method of programming in particular, the fact that the audience can watch the broadcast they want at any time has resulted in the ad generation going by without watching it, and as a result, reaching and keeping consumers more difficult. to the content of the message. In light of all these developments, brands have sought to convey their messages by reaching consumers through alternative channels other than traditional advertising channels in their media strategies (Chalaby, J. K. (2016)). As a result of these searches, applications that we call product placement, which can be defined as “the integration of branded products with communication media such as series, TV shows, music videos, video games, computer games, and especially movies”, have become such the practices are "alternatives to traditional forms of marketing communications that are becoming more expensive and less efficient in reaching target audiences."

Bit rate required for mono audio object in object-based audio program compressed with MPEG-H 3D Audio

Advantage of object-based audio (OBA) is that customization of the reproduced sound by individual listeners is allowed. To design the broadcasting system and transmission line for OBA, bit rate estimation of OBA program is essential; thus, how much bit rate is required for mono audio object is critical information. The bit rate required for mono audio object in OBA program compressed with MPEG-H 3D Audio is investigated using 12 mono test materials in terms of whether the broadcast quality is met. The obtained results are statistically analyzed and the bit rate meeting the broadcast quality and the bit rate of the detection limit for each mono test material is derived.

On the Design of an Algorithm for Mobility Management Over Fog Geographical Allocation for Healthcare Applications

Healthcare applications need an immediate response with minimal latency. Fog computing provides real-time monitoring and computation at the network edge so the data collected by Internet of Things (IoT) devices can be analyzed with minimal cost in real-time. However, dealing with end-user mobility becomes even more challenging with fog-assisted IoT healthcare frameworks because low latency in mobility support and fog node locating is a vital prerequisite. In this paper, we propose a fog node (FN) allocation and mobility-adapted fog computing architecture. The architecture is based on an algorithm that offers low latency for location-sensitive operations and service stability with high data broadcast quality for user mobility in fog computing. In our proposed architecture, it is no longer obligatory to either carry out a job on, or redirect it to, the cloud but instead connect with other FNs to continue with a request for a new job. The proposed architecture minimizes average network lateness by 40%–50%, bandwidth by 30%–40%, and end-to-end communication by 35%–55%. Additionally, the utilization of the FN computational resources is maximized.

Biotelemetric Experiment in the Radiotelegraphic Bureau of the Maritime Department (1912). A New Episode from the History of the Development of Russian Science

The minutes of the meeting of the Society of Marine Physicians in St. Petersburg dated October 30, 1912, which describes an experiment on the transmission of biomedical data via telecommunications, are published. The head of the workshop of the Radiotelegraph depot A.K. Nikiforov developed a device for remote transmission of the sound picture of the heart, using his own designs of amplifiers and microphones. The experiment was conducted with the participation of doctor A.G. Makarov. The results indicated insufficient broadcast quality and required technical refinement of the device. Comparison with the effectiveness of similar experiments in other countries shows that in the studied period of time, the general level of technical development did not fundamentally allow solving the problem of high-quality transmission of biomedical data over a distance. The fact of the experiment revealed by the author, which occurred against the background of institutionalization of scientific research in the Radiotelegraph Depot, is extremely important from the point of view of systematization of the history of domestic scientific research in the field of biotelemetry. When studying archival materials, the processes of institutionalization of scientific work in the Radiotelegraph Depot were revealed, including regulatory support, creation of organizational structures, distribution of goals and objectives, financing, and resource provision. The formal structuring of scientific activity formed the context for scaling research into other fields of knowledge, which created the basis for A.K. Nikiforov's scientific and design activities in the field of biomedicine. The scientist-engineer made a contribution to the accumulation of knowledge and the future formation of dynamic biotelemetry as a separate scientific direction.

Client-server system for monitoring the quality of TV broadcasting in Russia

The strategy for the development of television and radio broadcasting in the Russian Federation until 2025 specifically states the need to ensure the reliability of uninterrupted television and radio broadcasting. The quality of DVB-T2 broadcasting is estimated by the data transmission rate and the bit error rate BER (Bit Error Ratio) stability margin «at the last mile» in the retransmitters’ broadcast zones. The distributed client-server system of broadcast quality monitoring in RF, proposed in the article, uses the necessary equipment, including BER sensors based on programmable receivers combined with single-board microcomputers implemented on SoC processors. Collection and processing of data in broadcasting areas with the help of the proposed monitoring system will allow specialists engaged in practical network development to make an objective conclusion about the necessity and ways of SFN network reconstruction to provide uninterrupted TV and radio broadcasting in RF. Modernization and technical re-equipment of SFN networks will provide a solution to the problems related to certification of satellite earth stations and transmitters of SFN networks, provision of various services and broadcasting services of DVB-T2 standard to the population with high quality.

The quality of television news in Indonesia

This research aims to explore the watching patterns of the people of Indonesia with a specific focus on how they consume news programs on television. Indonesian democracy condition is draining much information energy every year. The war for information among broadcasting institutions has stirred worry among the general public regarding the quality of the content broadcast by national television stations. Virtually no medium is safe from the touch of politics, and news programs, in particular, are often highly political. Due to the urgency of this research to measure the quality of programs, not the number of viewers, the informants of this study are industry experts and academics. Their knowledge, experience, and insight into the television industry make them exceptionally qualified to assess television programs' quality critically. The results of the evaluation and deepening of the experts can be concluded by several aspects of the quality of news programs: The intervention of media owners is still evident and even conspicuous in the balance of news in an industry where broadcasting institutions are explicitly manipulating news content, especially when it concerns political issues. Concerning critical power, several news programs fail to arouse a critical rationale. News is delivered from one perspective only. The supervision aspect is still deficient because the shocking and horrible are intrinsically appealing. Subjectiveness in the news is widespread, especially in the selection of titles and narratives that simply justify the reporters' words.

Innovation Model of Journalism Education Based on Information Technology under the Background of New Media

In recent years, as a new way of information dissemination, new media has brought a huge impact on traditional media. New media is the most important and popular communication medium in the new century, and the communication mode promotes the transformation of the whole society. With the continuous updating of mobile devices and the continuous increase of various news dissemination channels, which accelerates the speed of information dissemination, it also puts forward a test for the quality and effectiveness of news broadcasting. With the continuous development of information technology, the reform of education informatization continues to advance. At present, journalism education research has become a hot topic in journalism research, and journalism professional education faces many challenges in the context of educational informatization. It needs to take corresponding measures to innovate teaching concepts and teaching methods, so as to meet the requirements of education reform for journalism. This paper studies the development trend of new media. It is based on the effective application of information technology means to teaching and scientific research and aims to promote the progress and development of journalism education. This paper studies the impact of different audio sample durations on retrieval accuracy and retrieval speed and finds that the corresponding recall rate when the query sample audio length is 5 seconds is 82.5%. When the time length is 10 seconds, the recall rate is relatively improved by 13.2%. This paper discusses the innovation of journalism education under the background of informatization. In this paper, through the investigation of journalism college students' analysis of the problems existing in the current education and the synthesis of their suggestions, it is more prominent that 90% of them believe that improving teaching methods is the most important. Senior students have more prominent opinions on the issue of practical teaching. Practical teaching has become an important part of higher education with Chinese characteristics. It is an important way to guide students to integrate theory with practice and cultivate students' comprehensive quality and innovative consciousness.

Digital Governance on Broadcasting Industry

The development of media based on the internet has not dampened the existence of television broadcasts, because the penetration of information through television is still the highest. In terms of broadcast infrastructure quality, Indonesia lags behind other countries. Indonesia still uses analog channels while other countries have turned off analog broadcasts and switched to digital broadcasts. On top of that, it is necessary to describe the migration policy of analog television broadcasts to digital broadcasts that supports the improvement of television broadcast quality in Indonesia, and the prospects for the post-migration broadcast industry from analog television to digital broadcasting. The result is an analog switch off (ASO) which encourages efficient use of frequency bands in Indonesia. However, it is suspected that the implementation of digital television free-to-air (FTA) migration could damage the broadcast business structure. By 2022, there will be 103 licensed digital broadcasters and 728 broadcasters who will migrate to digital. The number of broadcasts will have an impact on the level of competition between broadcasting institutions to get cake as a source of life. In terms of nice breadth, niche overlap, and nice, all major broadcasts will still dominate the competition map in the broadcast industry. Meanwhile, local broadcasting institutions that are established in the regions will find it difficult to compete.

Developing Digital Photomicroscopy.
