Location Matters: The Role of the Neighborhood Environment for Incident Cardiometabolic Disease in Adults Aging With Physical Disability.

People aging with disability may be limited in their ability to engage in healthy behaviors to maintain cardiometabolic health. We investigated the role of health promoting features in the neighborhood environment for incident cardiometabolic disease in adults aging with physical disability in the United States. Retrospective cohort study. Optum's Clinformatics® Data Mart Database (2007-2018) of administrative health claims. ICD-9-CM codes were used to identify 15467 individuals with a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Multiple Sclerosis, or Spinal Cord Injury. Cardiometabolic disease was identified using ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM codes over 3 years of follow-up. Measures of the neighborhood environment came from the National Neighborhood Data Archive and linked to individual residential ZIP codes over time. Covariates included age, sex, and comorbid health conditions. Cox regression models estimated hazard ratios (HR) for incident cardiometabolic disease. Using a 1-year lookback period, individuals with pre-existing cardiometabolic disease were excluded from the analysis. Net of individual risk factors, residing in neighborhoods with a greater density of broadband Internet connections (HR = .88, 95% CI: .81, .97), public transit stops (HR = .89, 95% CI: .83, .95), recreational establishments (HR = .89, 95% CI: .83, .96), and parks (HR = .88, 95% CI: .82, .94), was associated with reduced risk of 3-year incident cardiometabolic disease. Findings identify health-promoting resources that may mitigate health disparities in adults aging with disability.

A Review of the Literature About Broadband Internet Connections and Rural Development (1995-2022)

This article provides a systematic review of the quantitative social science research on broadband Internet technology in rural areas. Specifically, we summarize the literature on 1) rural broadband availability and adoption behaviors and 2) the implications of these behaviors for rural businesses, public policy initiatives, and regional development. In the studies reviewed, rural areas suffer from both lower availability and lower adoption rates compared to their urban counterparts. However, researchers disagree on whether supply frictions inherent to rural areas or heterogeneous demand and adoption behaviors are the major cause of this outcome. Researchers widely agree that high-speed Internet improves economic outcomes of rural areas, whether it is through increases in business activity or in more general economic development measures (e.g. productivity, jobs, income). Impact evaluations of rural broadband policy initiatives produced mixed results, highlighting the need for a better understanding of agents’ incentives. This review points to four areas for future research. One, assessments of the long-term impact of broadband on rural economies. Two, analyses of the net effect of broadband on economic development outcomes (e.g. migrants, job creation). Three, assessments of economic development impacts associated with broadband speed. Four, assessments of the efficacy of broadband policies.

Predictive Health Monitoring of Multimorbidity: A Simulation Experiment Using OPNET Modeller

Primary health care services are increasingly at the heart of integrated people-centred. They provide an entry point into the health system, ongoing care coordination and a person focused approach. Patient safety incidents involve active events, such as adverse drug events, intervention complications, infections and care failures, prescribing and delayed diagnosis. As a result, patients with multimorbidity are at higher risk of safety issues. In this study, monitoring is conducted on data streams from wearable body sensors enabled by Healthcare Internet of Things, overlapping time series plotting of body parameters, and a rules-based decision engine with artificial intelligence capabilities to detect risky patterns of variations in the body parameters. This research investigates a possible design for predictive health monitoring of multimorbidity that individual hospitals can implement at low costs and high operations effectiveness and feasibility. This research was conducted in OPNET modeller to: (a) Conduct simulation-based testing of a low-level Healthcare 4.0 design for monitoring of multimorbidity; (b) Suggest practical design, operational details, and limitations for predictive health monitoring of multimorbidity. The design details were captured from literature and the simulated design was created for monitoring 105 health sensors by a single hospital in its vicinity of 10 Kilometers radius. The design comprised of edge computing servers in the hospital’s premises connected to a fog computing system for running body area networks of body-attached sensors of 100 individuals. The connections between the edge computing servers and the fog computing system were 100 Mbps broadband Internet connections on Optical Fiber. The simulation was conducted to study effects of mobility of the citizens, effects of TCP session and transmission delays, effects of buffering in the WLAN routers, and effects of TCP congestion windows. The simulation pattern was defined by an operations algorithm designed with the help of technical literature review. The WLAN routers should have high capacity of buffer memories to temporarily store health data streams and large number of receiving channels to avoid information losses. The TCP session timeouts and congestions can be very harmful for individuals being monitored critically. Hence, bandwidth allocation to body area networks should be planned based on the frequency and amount of data needed by the hospitals. The body area networks deployed on individuals should have carefully conducted right sizing of number of parameters, their data volumes, transmission frequencies, and criticality of the individuals. The hospitals should classify patients in different classes based on criticality, data volumes, and frequencies of monitoring needed, and allocate appropriate multi-tiered body area networks for the different patient classes. A one size fit for all approach will fail.

Internet accessibility and incident depressive symptoms in middle aged and older adults in China: A national longitudinal cohort study

BackgroundWith the rapid development of the Internet over the past ten years, its widespread applications and accessibility may cause dynamic changes in the association between internet use and depressive symptoms. ObjectiveWe aim to explore the association between internet accessibility (including broadband connection, internet use, frequency, and devices for internet use), as well as its changes, and the risk of incident depressive symptoms for middle aged and older adults based on a cohort study. Methods8772 participants with three repeat waves of follow-up (average 6.04 years) were included. Cox proportional hazards regressions were used to explore risk effects. Hazard ratios (HRs) and 95 % Confidence Intervals [CI] were presented. ResultsIncidence density for depressive symptoms was 53.89 for every 1000 person-years. The rate of internet usage by middle aged and older adults in China increased evidently from 2012 to 2018 (16.39 % vs 77.41 %). Broadband internet connection (BIC) (HR = 0.80, 95%CI: 0.71, 0.90) and moderate frequency of internet use (IU) (HR = 0.30, 95%CI: 0.10, 0.92) were associated with decreased risk of depressive symptoms. Participants who changed from no internet accessibility to internet accessibility were associated with a lower risk of depressive symptoms (BIC: HR = 0.46, 95%CI: 0.41, 0.51; IU: HR = 0.42, 95%CI: 0.34, 0.51). Using large screen devices (HR = 0.64, 95%CI: 0.45, 0.91) for internet access, instead of phones, was associated with lower risk of depressive symptoms. ConclusionsOlder adults should be encouraged to use the Internet; online time, frequency, and devices for internet use should be considered simultaneously.

Factor Influencing Fixed Broadband Provider Choice Decision (Case Study of IndiHome Consumer Choice)

Since the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, people’s activities have changed drastically due to quarantine and distance restrictions. Almost all activities from school, work, health consultations, sports and others are carried out online from where they live. This gave rise to a new need for the people of Indonesia, namely a broadband internet connection. The demand for fixed broadband internet service providers has increased since the Covid-19 pandemic and is predicted to continue to grow until 2026. This situation opens up enormous business opportunities for fixed broadband internet service providers or what we are familiarly calling Wifi. The number of newcomer brands of fixed broadband internet service providers has created competition. So far, the IndiHome brand still leads the fixed broadband internet service provider market in Indonesia with the largest market share. However, at the end of 2021, to be precise from October to December 2021, IndiHome experienced an increase in the percentage of churn rate (customers who unsubscribe or revoke services). The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence customer decisions in choosing fixed broadband internet service provider products and to provide recommendations to IndiHome. Choice modeling analysis will be used in this research, which is to estimate the probability that the Greater Jakarta citizen will choose a brand of fixed broadband internet service provider. This research was conducted on 201 The author creates a description of the question or stated preference scenario using D-efficient from NGENE software. The resulting scenarios are 28 scenarios with 3 alternatives and 7 attributes, namely product quality, internet speed, price, customer service, brand image, promotions, and bundling packages. Respondents were asked to answer product choices according to brands through a combination of scenarios. The results show several attributes that have significant values. These attributes are the prices for the IndiHome, Biznet and Iconnet brands. Internet speed on the IndiHome brand, Customer Service on the IndiHome and Iconnet brands and Bundling Packages on the Iconnet brand. There are several recommendations for IndiHome to pay attention to attributes that have significant and elastic value.

Adoption of innovative library products and services among library and information science professionals in Nigeria

Information and communication technology (ICT) is pertinent for the provision, management and delivery of a range of qualitative and innovative services to library users, and thus enhance skills acquisitions of library and information science (LIS) professionals. The study assessed libraries/LIS professionals’ extent of adoption of innovative library products and services, level of satisfaction and suggestions for future training experiences. The descriptive survey design of the ex-post-facto type was adopted. A structured questionnaire with a reliability index of 0.83 was used to collect data for the study. A total of 38 respondents out of 58 returned the completed questionnaire and were used for the study. Findings from the study revealed that 28 (73.7%) of the participant libraries have adopted innovative library products and services delivery. Out of this, 23 (60.5%) have adopted the concept to high extent and 3 (7.9%) have not adopted innovative products and services. Reasons for non-adoption included non-applicability of the concept to library services 27(71.1%); inadequate knowledge 4(10.5%), newly established institutions 3(7.9%); poor leadership/management 3(7.9%) and renovation 1(2.6%). The study recommended provision of enabling training supports and facilities such as broadband internet connectivity among others to upskill library information resource professionals.

The Influence of Availability of Internet Connectivity on Teachers’ Integration of Information Communication Technology in Teaching and Learning in Public Primary Schools in Kenya

The study sought to investigate the influence of availability of internet connectivity on teachers’ integration of information communication technology in teaching and learning in public primary schools in Kakamega County, Kenya. The study objectives sought to determine the influence of the degree of internet connectivity in various categories of schools on integration of information communication technology in teaching and learning and in public primary schools in Kakamega County, Kenya and to establish the influence of internet accessibility on integration of information communication technology in teaching and learning in public primary schools in Kakamega County, Kenya. The study used Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge theory. The study used descriptive survey design. The target population of the study was 1County Director of Education, 356 public primary school head teachers and 3204 public primary school teachers. The sample size for the study was 1 County Director of Education, 189 public primary school head teachers and 356 public primary school teachers who were selected using purposive sampling, proportionate sampling, simple random sampling and census sampling techniques. The sample frame for the study consisted of 546 respondents. Data was collected using questionnaires and interview schedule. Data for this study was presented in frequency tables. Both a quantitative and a qualitative analysis of the results was performed. In order to determine the degree of relationship between internet connectivity and teachers’ integration of information communication technology in teaching and learning in public primary schools, the Chi-square (X2) test was utilized. It was anticipated that, the planners and policy makers will use the study’s findings as a basis for revamping the country’s present internet strategy in order to address the problems impending teachers’ integration of information communication technology in teaching and learning in public primary schools, students would graduate with knowledge and abilities that are competitive on a worldwide scale and go on to play an important role in the development of their country. The results of this study showed that, 76.12% of the sampled public primary boarding schools were connected to internet while 23.88%were not connected to internet. 12.84% of the public primary day schools were connected to internet while 87.16% of these categories of schools were not. The Chi-square (x2)test results showed that internet connection in public primary schools was not significantly different in public boarding primary schools than in public day primary schools (X2 =14.249, P Value =0.512). These findings indicate that, most public primary schools were not connected to internet and therefore, teachers’ integration of information communication technology in teaching and learning in public primary schools in Kenya was minimal. The study therefore recommends that, the government of Kenya through the Ministry of Education should offer broadband internet connection packages to teachers at fair installment and payment terms.

Urban–rural continuum: an overview of their interactions and territorial disparities

AbstractThis study provides a quantitative analisis of the interactions between urban and rural areas and related territorial disparities in the European Union (EU). Relevant societal themes such as population changes, access to services, broadband internet connectivity, house prices, tourism and land‐use/cover flows are examined by mean of indicators computed with the most recent data at the highest spatial resolution. The degree of urbanization (cities, towns and suburbs, rural areas) is used to identify territorial differences and to compare EU regions. Results show that rural and remote areas are lagging in terms of relevant territorial assets compared with more urbanized typologies, with strong variations from region to region depending on the analysed theme. The study provides quantitative and graphical information by applying a descriptive statistical analysis of the indicators and a spatial multicriteria assessment to help with decision‐making processes. It concludes by summarizing the most important outcomes with a set of policy recommendations.

Digital inequality: modernization of Kuznets curve in the digital era

Objective: to study the impact of the level of broadband Internet access on income inequality in Russian regions.Methods: econometric modeling using the method of analyzing the relationship between inequality and economic growth, developed by Simon Kuznets, for a sample of 82 Russian regions in 2010–2020.Results: the paper examines the theoretical and practical aspects of income inequality of the population. The basis of many scientific studies is the results obtained by S. Kuznets, repeatedly tested in subsequent works. It is determined that under digital economy, inequality in economic development is also manifested in the spread of broadband Internet access. However, previous studies have not answered whether the further spread of the Internet will lead to increased income inequality. The authors of the study put forward and tested the corresponding hypothesis. Based on the analysis results, the authors draw conclusions about the existence of a nonlinear relationship between economic growth and income inequality, as well as the existence of a link between the spread of broadband Internet access and the reduction of income inequality in the Russian regions. At the same time, the results show that the relationship between the development of broadband Internet access and the Gini coefficient has an inverted U-shaped curve. This relationship is a development or analogue of the Kuznets curve, in which the development of digital infrastructure becomes one of the key factors in reducing inequality.Scientific novelty: a method for analyzing the relationship between income inequality and digital development is proposed, which is based on the results of econometric modeling. A model is substantiated and constructed that characterizes the impact of broadband Internet access on income inequality in Russia.Practical significance: the study results substantiate the need to increase the level of broadband Internet connectivity as one of the indicators of reducing income inequality in the Russian regions and, thus, indicate the directions of regional policy in the field of digital infrastructure development.

PERLINDUNGAN HUKUM INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER TERHADAP PENYALAHGUNAAN BANDWIDTH PADA PRODUK HOME IDPLAY

Many Indonesian people use internet services, one of which is by registering for installation at home from the company PT. Trans Indonesia Supercorridor, this company is a solution to access broadband internet connection. One of the products from PT. Trans Indonesia Supercorridor is a product of Idplay. Some consumers intentionally default on PT. Trans Indonesia Supercorridor by reason of wanting to seek more profit with not much capital, such as reselling the internet it uses to other people, where in the agreement consumers are prohibited from reselling it to other people. The research method used is normative legal research. Based on the specifications of this paper which uses an in concerto research method, the data analysis used is a qualitative approach to secondary data, which means that it includes the content and structure of positive law. Protection carried out by PT. Trans Indonesia Supercorridor (TIS). namely preventive protection such as by reprimanding Mr. X, then PT.TIS also performs repressive protection, namely by terminating Mr. X's internet cable network. The form of sanctions given by PT.TIS to consumers is to ask for compensation by make payments due to bandwidth abuse, but if consumers cannot make compensation in the form of payments according to the amount of losses suffered by PT. TIS then the action taken by PT.TIS is to withdraw the device (ONU) to the consumer.

HoloKinect: Holographic 3D Video Conferencing.

Recent world events have caused a dramatic rise in the use of video conferencing solutions such as Zoom and FaceTime. Although 3D capture and display technologies are becoming common in consumer products (e.g., Apple iPhone TrueDepth sensors, Microsoft Kinect devices, and Meta Quest VR headsets), 3D telecommunication has not yet seen any appreciable adoption. Researchers have made great progress in developing advanced 3D telepresence systems, but often with burdensome hardware and network requirements. In this work, we present HoloKinect, an open-source, user-friendly, and GPU-accelerated platform for enabling live, two-way 3D video conferencing on commodity hardware and a standard broadband internet connection. A Microsoft Azure Kinect serves as the capture device and a Looking Glass Portrait multiscopically displays the final reconstructed 3D mesh for a hologram-like effect. HoloKinect packs color and depth information into a single video stream, leveraging multiwavelength depth (MWD) encoding to store depth maps in standard RGB video frames. The video stream is compressed with highly optimized and hardware-accelerated video codecs such as H.264. A search of the depth and video encoding parameter space was performed to analyze the quantitative and qualitative losses resulting from HoloKinect's lossy compression scheme. Visual results were acceptable at all tested bitrates (3-30 Mbps), while the best results were achieved with higher video bitrates and full 4:4:4 chroma sampling. RMSE values of the recovered depth measurements were low across all settings permutations.

Broadband and entrepreneurship: An empirical assessment of the connection between broadband availability and new business activity across the United States

Research investigating the linkages between broadband and new business activity in countries around the world produce mixed results related to important nuances in this relationship pertaining to industry characteristics, geography, and the skill level of the workforce. Given these nuances, the goal of this study is to investigate the connection between broadband availability and new business activity, building on regional and rural-focused studies within the United States. Specifically, our paper conducts a nationwide assessment of the relationship between broadband and new business activity, in the early years of broadband in the late 1990s/early 2000s when it had the most potential to disrupt industries and open up new entrepreneurial opportunities. Using an instrumental variables approach based on the development of the Internet by the U.S. military, we estimate the impact of broadband availability on total and net new business creation. Results suggest that access to broadband was associated with an increase in new business activity and net creation of new businesses. We also find evidence that access to broadband was important in the creation of businesses in knowledge- oriented industries who benefited from the rise of the Internet. At the same time, we also find broadband may have crowded out business activity in the manufacturing industry. Combined, our results suggest disruptive innovations related to broadband Internet connections are important for small business creation in many, but not all industries. Given these linkages, expanding access to broadband may help generate new business activity and business growth.

A Need for Digitally Inclusive Health Care Service in the United States: Recommendations for Clinicians and Health Care Systems.

The COVID-19 pandemic led to digital health service expansion that widened the existing digital divide. Residing in areas of limited broadband internet connectivity, lacking access to smart devices, and/or having low digital health literacy (ease, comfort, and skills to use technology) pose barriers to receiving health care remotely. This unequal access to health care is further exacerbated for older adults, those with lower income and less education, racial and ethnic minorities, and those who do not speak English. Because an individual's digital access (broadband internet connectivity and access to smart devices) and literacy can affect health care quality and outcomes, it is proposed that those 2 factors should be categorized as a key domain of social determinants of health. In this commentary, the authors highlight digital access and literacy barriers in the context of the United States health care service delivery. They underscore the importance of screening every patient during regular clinical visits for digital access and literacy as social determinants of health, using the electronic health record. The authors believe this will enhance digital health care by creating a more person-centered, inclusive method for clinicians and health care systems to digitally connect to patients of all backgrounds.

Thermal Effect Estimation of Smartphone Virtual Reality Headsets on Human Eye by Finite Element Method

Smartphones (SP) terminals are becoming the most popular media for virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) effects with their central processing unit (CPU) and video capabilities. Simple VR headsets with reasonable costs can host smartphones, and they can together be used for many different applications. But with the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, their usage has become essential for many people working from their homes. VR and AR capabilities provide a much richer experience for entertainment, gaming, and video conferencing. The increasing popularity of 3D virtual worlds add up to this usage. On the technology side, multi-radio connectivity is supported both on terminal and network side. A certain risk may arise when using SP VR headsets for such applications requiring a broadband Internet connectivity. SPs with multi-radio connectivity feature may elevate specific absorption rate (SAR) values in those cases. The smartphone used for VR and AR applications is positioned in front of the eyes; and there is very limited ventilation in VR/AR headsets. Authors’ model aims simulate these exposure scenarios in 4G and 5G mobile telecommunication frequencies by finite element method (FEM); and, possible thermal and non-thermal risks of related electromagnetic (EM) radiation on human eye according to the outputs of the model are discussed.

Telepractice application for the overt stuttering assessment of children aged 6-15 years old.

Despite the importance of delivering speech and language therapy services to children who stutter (CWS), there are barriers to accessing speech and language therapy. One way to improve access for those who may otherwise be deprived of speech and language therapy services, including CWS, is through telepractice (TP). However, there is currently no evidence as to the viability of TP stuttering assessments for CWS. To investigate the validity and reliability, and acceptability of using a TP application to assess overt stuttering behaviour children aged 6-15 years. A total of 30 CWS, aged between 6 and 15 years, were recruited from a speech therapy clinic in King Abdulaziz University Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Children were divided into two testing conditions, either face-to-face (f2f)-led or TP-led testing, and the Stuttering Severity Instrument (SSI-IV) was administered, percentage of syllables stuttered (%SS) was calculated, and severity ratings (SR) assigned, either via f2f or via TP using two laptops with webcams, video conference software and a broadband internet connection. Agreement and reliability of scoring in the two testing conditions were reported in addition to findings from questionnaires exploring children's and their caregivers' perceptions both before and immediately after the TP assessment was carried out. A total of 30 sessions were successfully carried out, with results revealing unsatisfactory levels of agreement when applying the Bland and Altman method. However, when discrepancies were found, these were comparable with those from traditional f2f studies. Generally, parents and children exhibited high levels of satisfaction and held a positive view regarding TP pre- and post-assessment. The results of the study suggest that conducting an overt stuttering assessment via TP for 6-15-year-olds CWS is reliable and valid. Although the TP model posed some (mainly technical) challenges for executing the assessment, high levels of satisfaction were recorded by parents and children alike. The TP system and equipment chosen in this study has provided a basis for the delivery of TP overt stuttering assessment in a clinical setting, thus addressing the barriers to access that are present for CWS. These results are preliminary, but they can be seen as a building block for future research in TP assessment studies for CWS. What is already known on the subject Stuttering treatment via TP has been proven to be feasible and successful across a variety of treatment programs (e.g., Lidcombe, Camperdown). However, the viability of assessing stuttering via videoconferencing has never been explored in children. What this paper adds to existing knowledge Preliminary support for the assessment of overt stuttering in CWS aged 6-15 years via video conferencing. The results justify larger scale studies of this service delivery method. What are the potential or actual clinical implications of this work? The TP system and equipment chosen in this study has provided a basis for the delivery of TP overt stuttering assessment in a clinical setting, thus addressing the barriers to access that are present for CWS aged 6-15 years.

Social Isolation and Safety Issues among Rural Older Adults Living Alone: Perspectives of Meals on Wheels Programs

ABSTRACT Ensuring the safety and social well-being of rural populations, especially rural older adults living alone with complex medical conditions, is challenging, given large, sparsely populated communities and limited resources. Using qualitative data from surveys with 42 rural Meals on Wheels programs from across the U.S., we highlight particular challenges to meeting the social and safety needs of rural older adults living alone. Respondents described challenges, opportunities, and successes in meeting the needs of their clients. We describe these under four domains: main challenges, what can be done to address social isolation and loneliness, safety issues, improving safety, and current successes. We also identify cross-cutting themes related to programs’ rural environment (long distances, inclement weather), infrastructure (housing quality, access to broadband Internet and technological connectivity, road conditions), funding and resource availability, and service provision (availability of health care and partner organizations.) We describe each of these in more detail and also share policy recommendations for improving health and safety of older adults living alone in rural areas, including funding nutrition programs as a health benefit and addressing aging, poor-quality housing stock.

California’s digital divide and the specter of data uncertainty for evaluating broadband coverage

The digital divide is a persistent feature in the United States. While most Americans have access to some form of broadband internet connection, the bandwidth, quality of service (QoS), and choice of providers remain highly variable throughout the country. For example, while the residents of many urban areas can choose between gigabit fiber, cable, or digital subscriber line connections from multiple providers, residents in rural areas often suffer from limited platform and provider choices. A fundamental problem with developing effective public policy for broadband in the U.S. is the lack of reliable data for estimating the geographic coverage of broadband service. This paper aims to highlight how data uncertainty can negatively impact coverage estimations in subtle and not-so-subtle ways. The state of California serves as our study area. This paper suggests a combination of uncertain broadband data combined with Census data errors co-mingle to create a variable snapshot of local broadband provision and geographic coverage. We provide several strategies for dealing with these uncertainties to improve the evaluation of broadband in California and the United States.

Science Tutors’ Use of ICT in Planning: The 21st Perspective

The purpose of the study was to find out how Science Tutors use ICT in planning Science Education lessons in Primary Teachers’ Colleges (PTCs) in Uganda. A mixed methods approach was adopted where survey and case study designs were used. The data was collected using survey, interviews, documentary analysis and observation. The respondents used for data collection were administrators, student teachers and science tutors. The objectives that guided the study were finding out ICT tools used by science tutors and investigating how science tutors use ICT Tools in planning Science Education Lessons. It was discovered that ICT tools in PTCs were inadequate, science tutors mainly used smart phones and calculators, and developed text-based materials and had some ICT skills. In conclusion, colleges are less equipped with ICT tools and tutors need to be empowered with current ICT skills for planning science lessons. It was recommended that government organizes ICT refresher courses for science tutors, Colleges be equipped with ICT tools and administrators to provide broad band internet connection. This article is intended to help science teacher educators, administrators and science tutors in reflecting on their roles in promoting the teaching of science education using ICT.
