With the development of technology and the purpose of a stronger television, with new services, the process of mediated interaction has increased and became a challenge of Brazilian digital terrestrial television system. In television news, the audiovisual informative product with a wider scope in society, the use of interactive applications provides a more active position of viewers, that, because of the TV with integrated return channel, they can take part of the programs, instead of looking for another devices. The incorporation of surveys, targeted subjects, chat, additional informations and quiz already lends itself as a trend and gives to the television news a configuration closer to an electronic magazine. So, this article presents a case study focused on the Brazilian Digital TV news, based on the prototype developed by LAVID, where some trends are pointed to the interactive JPB(television news affiliate of Glob TV in Joao Pessoa).
