Regulation system by voltage booster transformer

In this article, the features of the oscillatory circuit are investigated in order to determine the possibility of their application for controlling thrusters when building new, simple and reliable circuits for regulating booster voltage stabilizers from the value of the supply voltage. In Ferro resonant circuits connected to a voltage source with low internal resistance, with a certain combination of parameters, oscillations are excited at the fundamental frequency, the initial phase of which has a shift relative to the initial phase of the applied voltage.

Experimental analysis of a prototype voltage stabilizer using an optoelectronic proximity voltage relay

This article discusses the issues of experimental analysis of power quality indicators when using a voltage stabilizer using an optoelectronic proximity voltage relay. Where, the booster voltage stabilizer, the magnetizing windings of which are switched using non-contact voltage relays made on the basis of semiconductor devices, as well as the duration of the transient process when switching active and active-inductive loads connected to the output of the stabilizer. In addition, the article provides information regarding the performance of the developed prototype voltage stabilizer using an optoelectronic contactless voltage relay and verification of an experimental study of the operation of installations with their use. Also presented is material on the experimental study of a prototype voltage stabilizer using an optoelectronic contactless voltage relay in various operating modes. Summarizing the results of experimental studies of a prototype voltage stabilizer using an optoelectronic contactless voltage relay, it can be stated that it fully meets the requirements for such devices and can ensure reliable operation of the power supply network of household electrical consumers.

Coulomb interactions in a low-voltage focussed ion beam system

To be able to further optimise a low-voltage focussed ion beam system with immersion lenses and booster principle it is necessary to investigate the influence of Coulomb interactions in such a system in more detail. Therefore, Monte Carlo simulations have been done for an example system consisting of two immersion lenses separated by a drift space set to high potential (booster voltage) using both the commercial software package IMAGE by Mebs Ltd. and the programme MONTEC developed by G.H. Jansen. Parameters varied here are the total column length, the working distance as well as the internal operating mode of the objective lens. Results will be presented for landing energies of 3, 2 and 1keV.

Narrowing of the electron energy spectrum in the ILU-10 accelerator

Results of numerical and experimental investigations of electron energy spectrum narrowing by applying an external boosting HF voltage to the grid-cathode gap of a triode HF gun in the ILU-10 single-cavity pulsed accelerator (electron energy, 5 MeV; mean beam power, 50 kW; operating frequency, 116.3 MHz) are described. These results showed that, without a booster HF voltage, 62% of the beam power is within 5% of the energy spread and, after a booster voltage of the operating frequency is applied, as much as 74% of the beam power falls within these limits. Finally, at a booster voltage of the third harmonic, 93% of the beam power lies within 5% of the energy spread.
