Something that should be thanked to the Holy Trinity (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit) God Almighty, with the policy of the Government, especially the Minister of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) to publish the lesson books, including the lesson books for Catholic Religious Education and character. Apart from the researcher's gratitude for the publication of Catholic Religious Education and Books, the researcher also as one of the Teachers of Catholic Religious Education and character for the High School Level, that education plays an important role for the development of human for the better life , in terms of critical thinking. However, in realizing Catholic Religious Education and ethics to students, there are still many problems, one of the weakness is, the students' critical thinking skills which has an impact on decreasing their learning outcomes in class. Researcher as the teacher try to solve the problem which is faced in the classroom with a variety of learning models, one of the learning model which is used by the researcher is PBL (Problem Based Learning) .This learning model is implemented by two cycles ,that starting on Friday, September 13, 2024. Hopefully by applying this PBL model which is assisted by the video, can improve the Critical thinking of grade X Catholic students at SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Khalipah , in accordance with the vision and mission of the school and one of the objectives of National education, namely the formation of the Pancasila Student Profile (P3) character contained in the independent curriculum that is being promoted by the current government through the education minister of the Republic of Indonesia, namely Nadiem Anwar Makarim, B.A., M.B.A.

COGNITIVE FEATURE STAGES OF TASKS IN INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATION 3 STUDENT’S BOOK BY AMERICAN CORNER UNTAN: A REVISED BLOOM’S TAXONOMY ANALYSIS

This descriptive and qualitative study aims to assess the relevance of the students' materials to the revised Bloom's taxonomy cognitive domain and the prominent cognition aspect in the lesson book. This study focuses on the English student's book "International Communication 3," brought out by American Corner UNTAN. The proof was reviewed using a proof inventory diagram based on the cognitive dimension to categorize the action as either a query or an instructional activity. The outcome revealed that the textbook has 102 activities. The tasks were divided into 80 (78.4%) remembering, 4 (3.9%) understanding, 10 (9.8%) applying, 4 (3.9%) analyzing, 4 (3.9%) evaluating, and 1 (0.98%) creating. The main bulk task was remembering the lowest section of the revised Bloom taxonomy's cognitive pitch. The quantity of low- and high-order thinking skill tasks in every unit is also variable. As a result, it is essential to do more than employ an English lesson book as a teaching tool to upgrade students' critical thinking skills.

The Circuit in the History of Economic Thought: The Contribution of Ibn Khaldûn

In this tribute to Alain Parguez (1940–2022), I draw attention to the economic thought of the prominent medieval scholar, Ibn Khaldûn (1332–1406), specifically his seminal Al Muqaddimah (1377), which was the introduction (“Prolegomena”) to his universal history (Kitab al Ibar, “Book of Lessons”). While caution should be taken in reading a six-hundred-year-old book, I try to show that Ibn Khaldûn could be considered as a forerunner of the Theory of the Monetary Circuit. In his magnum opus, he attempted to lay down the factors that had pushed civilizations (especially the Arab-Muslim one) to bloom to their peak and to decline thereafter. This led him to examine the economic and social processes governing the history and the causes of wealth. Here Ibn Khaldûn anticipated some economic mechanisms which form the core of the Theory of the Monetary Circuit.

الفلسفة الاجتماعية عند ابن خلدون: دراسة في مفهوم "العمران البشري" وعلاقته بالتقدم

This research deals with Ibn Khaldun’s social philosophy, as contained in his famous introduction, which he wrote as an introduction to his book on history, known as “The Book of Lessons, the Diwan of the Beginner and the News in the Days of the Arabs, Persians, and Berbers, and Those Who Contemporized Them with the Greatest Power.” Due to the multiplicity of topics included in the “Introduction” and their overlap in such a way that it is impossible to separate them, the research was concerned with “human urbanism” in the first place, as it is - according to what the research assumed - the main axis around which Ibn Khaldun’s philosophy revolves, this is through revealing the methodological relationship that links the “science of urbanization” with the science of history, for which Ibn Khaldun stipulated that the historian must understand the phenomena of urbanization and know the causes and reasons that lead to it so that he will be able to distinguish between historical news and its levels of certainty, and separate what is true and real. In it and what is false or delusional. In the context of “urbanization” and its concept, the research shed light on the problem of progress according to Ibn Khaldun, and its connection to the concept of urbanization itself. It reviewed the conditions for achieving progress in human societies based on what can be deduced from the introduction. It is the political, economic, and ideological condition. Then he discussed the main features of progress as a social philosophical problem that was crystallized by Ibn Khaldun's personal interest in politics and society as a scholar and worker in both fields. In addition to its historical coincidence with the eras of decline and decline in Islamic history, which Ibn Khaldun was a witness to in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries.

Persepsi Peserta Didik Terhadap Kompetensi Profesional Guru Bahasa Arab

This Skripsi discusses the students' perception on a professional teacher in Arabic learning at class VIII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Falah Kec. Limboto Barat. The problems in this research were: (1) how is the students' perception on Arabic teacher? (2) What are the professional teachers' inhibitors and efforts in Arabic Learning? The aims of this research were: (1) To know the students' perception on Arabic teacher. (2) To know the professional teachers' inhibitors and efforts in Arabic Learning. This research was a descriptive qualitative research which clearly described all events, things, and situations to an object that researched. The data resources were taken from students, Arabic teachers, and the headmaster of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Falah Limboto Barat. Based on the research result, it was found that the students had a good perception on a professional teacher in Arabic learning. It was proven by the teacher ability related to the behavior and performance so the teacher become a good example for the students, mastering the related science, planning the lesson, evaluating, and understanding the students, communicating with the students, teachers, students' parents or society. The problems found by the researcher were: (1) During the Arabic learning, most of the students could not translate the Arabic sentence well; (2) The lack of school administration and lesson books.

Analysis and comparison of most popular piano teaching method in Iran

The aim of this research is to review and analyze the prominent piano pedagogy methods used in music teaching studios / institute/ centers in Tehran, Iran. For this purpose, supported by library research method, a questionnaire -consisting of pre-designed questions- was distributed among piano teachers in music teaching institutes /studios/ centers in Tehran, quantitatively. The analysis of the obtained results showed the selection of two widely used methods from the methods used resulting from the outcome of the questionnaire and the description of their generalities and details in a qualitative manner. Besides, the findings obtained from the semi-structured interview forms made with the academicians in the field of piano pedagogy are presented with quotations in the tables in the form of themes and sub-themes with content analysis. The results indicated that along with the expansion of communication and the increasing availability of piano teaching methods in Iran, piano instructors do not limit their instruction to merely one or two methods as in previous decades and by updating educational methods, they have been trying to helping students benefit from a more efficient pedagogy as compared with methods used in previous decades. Based on these considerations, the authors obtained the results of the survey through a questionnaire and found that the two piano course lesson books i.e., “Basic Method for Piano” by Michael Aaron and “Easy Piano and Organ Training Course” by John Thomson are teaching methods, much more preferred/accepted by piano teachers and more frequently used in free music studios in Tehran. The authors also tried to analyze the two educational methods in the process of this research to determine the obvious aspects and reasons for the acceptance of these two methods by analyzing each lesson. Therefore, it should be indicated that the two methods of Aaron and Thomson have tried to teach all the executive and theoretical structures of music together from the beginning, considering education for young beginners, and this prominent feature should be considered as the key to their success.

THINKING LIKE A GUITARIST IN SEVENTEENTH-CENTURY ITALY

Placing amateur performers and their instrument of choice at the forefront of inquiry, this article makes a case for the Spanish guitar as an instrument through which knowing subjects sought an epistemology of musical practice, a way-of-knowing-and-doing that could even surpass other musical epistemologies already in circulation during the seventeenth century. Leading this investigation is a handwritten book of lessons wherein there emerges a preference for learning the violin using the principles of guitar playing. Next, I discuss the appearance of annotated guitar tablature in the copy of Giulio Caccini’s Le nuove musiche held in the Library of Congress, which edits Caccini’s songs to purpose their accompaniments for easier guitar playing. Together, these two documents reveal earnest attempts at being musical with a guitar in the hands or guitar playing in the mind, opening us to a world-view that hinges on the guitar as the locus of musical knowledge.

Most of university students use Indonesian language structure in Arabic language writing. So, those sentences become false. The university student just obey to the lesson book that used in learning process as the common, whereas that lesson book still doesn’t pay attention of the differences and the similar from the structure of the main languages and the language that they are studied. Contrastive analysis is an activity to find both of the differences and similar of two languages and also as the solution of the languages’ problem. So, the researcher want to know the effectivity of the lesson book of writing skill by using contrastive analysis theory in Arabic teaching department of State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.Based on that thinking, this research’s purposes are to know about The effectivity of lesson book on writing skill by using Contrastive Analysis .This research uses quantitative approach. And this research’s kind of method is experiment model. For the analysis of this research’s data, are used inferential statistic analysis by using t test.The results of this research is The researcher use test of two chapters using from the teaching material with intact group comparison method, that is by dividing the class become two groups, control group and experiment group. In the test of the first chapter, the score is 26,6 (t-arithmetic) 1,27 (t-table), it means that this teaching material is effective. In the test of the second chapter, the researcher gets the score 16,5 (t-arithmetic) 1,27 (t-table), it means that this this teaching material is effective.

Gerakan Guru Menulis Buku Melalui Pelatihan Online dengan Microsoft Teams bagi Guru Se Kota Salatiga

The recent problems of teacher, among other, is the productivity of writing a book. There are many obstacles that teacher faces, among them, mostly, are the lack of motivation and the lack of knowledge of writing a book. The purposes of this service are: 1) to increase teacher’s motivation for writing a book, 2) to increase teacher’s skill in making a book from a research outcome, 3) to increase teacher’s skill in writing a lesson book and an enrichment book, 4) to increase teacher’s skill in writing a fiction book, 6) to increase teacher’s knowledge of publishing a book. The participants are teachers from all educational levels in Salatiga City amounted to 117 teachers. The method of activity implemented was a Microsoft Teams-aided online training. The training activity included web meeting, discussion, consultation, and assistance for 1 month. The service activity is able to motivate the teachers to write a book based on the right principles of writing a book and to produce a book in accordance with the necessity of the school where the teachers teach.

Review: Ocean: Secrets of the Deep, by Sabrina Weiss and Giulia De Amicis

When I first opened this book, I was somewhat expecting a picture book for very young children, as the images on the cover are in rich color and, while reasonably accurate, not anatomically precise. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find enough information about oceans, ocean life, and the impact and role of the oceans surrounding life on Earth that I had to take a moment of appreciation. The richness of the information in this short book – from oceanography and ocean lore to conservation and protection of our oceans – more than reasonably touches on a wide range of information in a way that is interesting and engaging to the reader. While my initial thought was “children's book,” I can honestly say that I gleaned a bit of new information from this book, or at least it refreshed my memory a bit, but I also found myself really enjoying the way the information is organized in a way that teaches and supports without feeling like a lesson book or a lecture.

Curriculum of Intensive Arabic Lessons For The Language Center at The University of Darussalam Gontor

Learning Arabic in the world was an importance issue of countries. Therefore, the University of Darussalam Gontor has established a presence in its future vision, which is the formation of the university as a center for the teaching of the language of the Qur'an. Therefore, the University of Darussalam established the Language Center, an Arabic language learning center, and intensive training courses using intensive Arabic language textbooks. It is interesting to note that the center of the language used the book of intensive language lessons and did not use books to teach the other Arabic language. As a result, the researcher wanted to search for the method of intensive Arabic language textbooks. This research is an attempt by the researcher to understand the approach of the book of intensive Arabic language courses in view of the standard of organizing the book, advantages, and deficiency.

Organization and Contents of <BooinSooji(婦人須知)> Which is a Newly Discovered Book for Women’s Lessons

이 논문은 새롭게 발굴된 여성교훈서 <부인수지>를 소개할 목적으로 작성되었 다. 서책의 크기는 20.2x31.8cm이고 전체는 80면, 매면 10행으로 이루어진 한글 필사본 자료이다. 1841년 화서학파 문인 중암 김평묵에 의하여 규방의 부녀자들을 가르치고 일깨울 목적으로 저술되었으며 1921년에 재필사된 것이다. 서책의 전체적인 구성은 저술 목적을 담은 서문과 부녀자가 지켜야 할 규범들을 13개의 항목으로 나누어 해당 내용을 설명한 본문, 간행 경위 및 저자와 저술 시기, 필사 시기 등을 기록한 발문으로 이루어져 있다. 본문에 담긴 13개의 항목은 순서대로 ‘시부모 섬기기’, ‘남편 섬기기’, ‘부모 섬기기’, ‘형제 간 우애’, ‘친족 간 화목’, ‘자식 가르치기’, ‘손 대접하기’, ‘종 다스리기’, ‘잡술 경계’, ‘제사 받들기’, ‘음식 차리기’, ‘의복 만들기’, ‘말 조심하기’ 등이다. 이 항목들을 다시 내용에 따라 시부모 남편 부모 섬기기, 형제 친족 간에 화목하기, 자식 가르치기 등을 포함한 ‘가문의 결속과 화합을 위한 가족관계 윤리’ 와 손 대접하기, 종 다스리기, 잡술 경계하기, 제사 받들기, 음식 차리기, 의복 만들기 등을 다룬 ‘가사를 주관하는 기능적 여성상’으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 김평묵은 <부인수지> 매 항목의 앞부분에는 경전에 기반 한 통상적인 경계의 말을 담고, 뒷부분에는 ‘요세 부인’, ‘요세 여자’, ‘요세 사람’, ‘요세’와 같이 당대 여인들의 부적절한 행실을 사례로 들어 소개하면서 시집을 중심으로 한 가족관계의 윤리 및 가사 전반에 이르기까지 유교 정신에 입각한 도덕규범을 당대 부녀자들에게 습득시키고자 한 것을 알 수 있었다. <부인수지>는 조선후기 위정척사의 중심인물인 중암 김평묵의 문집에 전하지 않는 새로운 여훈서 자료라는 점에서 의미가 있다. 또한 1841년 저술된 자료가 1921년 근대에 이르기까지 전승 향유되었다는 점도 눈길을 끈다. 마지막으로 <부인수지>는 유교윤리에 입각한 보편적 규범을 제시하면서도 동시에 저술 당시의 부도덕한 여인상을 소개하여 저술 당시의 사회상을 반영하고 있다는 점에서 의미있는 자료라고 생각된다.This article introduces BooinSooji’, which is a newly developed book for women’s lessons. The size of this book is 20.2x31.8 cm, with 80 pages and 10 lines per page, and it is written in Korean. It was published to teach and enlighten women by Joongam Pyung Mook Kim, who was a scholar of the Hwaseo School, in 1841. Overall organization of the book consists of main body, details of publication, author and time to publish, handwriting time, and so on with 13 items for the norms that women should follow. The 13 items in the main body are ‘serving parents-in-law’, ‘serving husband’, ‘serving parents’, ‘brotherly love among brothers’, ‘harmony among relatives’, ‘teaching children’, ‘treating guests’, ‘treating servants’, ‘warning against witchcraft’, ‘serving ancestral rites’, ‘preparing foods’, ‘making clothes’, and ‘speaking carefully’. These items are grouped into ‘family relationship ethics for and harmony of the family’, including serving parents-in-law, husband, and parents, harmony among relatives and brothers, and teaching children; and ‘functional female role in taking care of the housework’, including treating guests, treating servants, warning against witchcraft, serving ancestral rites, preparing foods, and making clothes. It was known that Pyung Mook Kim tried to teach women the ethical norms of the time based on Confucianism minds regarding the husband’s family, family-oriented relationship ethics, and maintaining the household. This was done with alarming sentences based in the scripture at the start of each item and introducing cases of women’s improper behaviors of the time, such as stories about a modern-day woman’, ‘modernday female’, and ‘modern-day person’ at the end of each item in ‘BooinSooji’. ‘BooinSooji’ holds meaning as a new type of lesson book for women that had not been included in the literature collection of Pyung Mook Kim, who was a main figure of Wejungchuksa in the late Joseon era. It was aso remarkable that the publication in 1841 had been handed down to the modern times in 1921. Lastly, ‘BooinSooji’ is considered to be meaningful literature that demonstrates the social norms at the times of publication by suggesting ordinary expectations based on Confucianism as well as introducing immoral women’s features.

Validity of Physics Lesson book Oriented Metacognitive Strategies for Problem Solving Skills of Teacher Candidates

This was a research and development study which focus on metacognitive strategies to improve the problem solving of physics teacher candidates. Problem solving is viewed as an essential part of physics education for teacher candidates in higher education. Thus, it was necessary to produce a fundamental of physics lesson book which focus on problem solving skills. The objective of this study was to produce a valid physics lesson book. This research was implemented in three phases, namely define, design, and development using the 4-D model of Thiagarajan. Data were collected through validation sheet and had been measured by the experts. Data then analyzed by using descriptive analysis techniques. The result show that the physics lesson book had been declared as a valid instructional device for improving problem solving of physics teacher candidates.

The Development of Learning Package Based on Metacognitive Strategies to Build the Students Character

This study used research and development approach. It focus on metacognition strategis to build the students character. It aims to produce a valid learning device. The main products of learning device consisted of : (1) RPS, and (2) lesson book. The model 4D of research and development was applied, it consisted of 4 phases namely defined, design, development, and disseminate. This article explain the profile of learning device based on metacognition for character building of Introduction to Basic Mathematic. Validity of learning device was measured by the experts. The result of learnig device consisted of RPS and lesson book had been valid.

Investigation of Texts and Images in Life Science Textbooks in Terms of Values

In this research, it was aimed to examine of primary school 3rd grade Life Science textbooks’ texts and visuals of a private publishing firm, which was used in 2016-2017 education year, in terms of value education. Qualitative research methods in the research were carried out in the analytical research design and the data were collected through the documents consisting of the textbooks. In the analysis of the data, content analysis method was taken as basis. A “Value Inspection Form” was prepared by the researcher in accordance with the definitions of Turkish National Education. The situation of the 20 values in textbooks which are aimed to be given to the students in the 3rd grade life science curriculum was investigated by using the prepared “Value Assesent Form”. First, the value expressions in the texts are determined. Then, those carrying the aim of value education from visual expressions have been identified. These data was obtained from text and pictures then coded and classified. The analysis process was done by using NVivo 10 software program. According to the results of the study, it was seen that the most value in the textbook was “Love” and the least value was “Hospitality”. In the texts and images of the Life Science lesson books, it is necessary to make arrangements with more emphasis on the values that students find little such as “patience”, “scientificness”, “love of nature”, “aesthetics” and “hospitality”.

Improving Students' Speaking Ability through Scaffolding Technique

Students often got confused and felt hesitant when they speak English. This situation had caused poor speaking ability, which then lead to serious problem in the teaching-learning process. The application of scaffolding technique in the EFL learning might be the ideal solution; it had some principles that could improve the students’ speaking ability. This research is aimed at finding out the effect of the implementing Scaffolding Technique towards the students’ speaking ability. Participants were 50 (27 males and 23 females) third-semester students, enrolled in a three-year diploma program in Travel and Tourism Business, State Polytechnic of Bali in 2017/2018 academic year. The students in the experimental group were given communicative activities such as brainstorming, business games, simulation, WebQuest, problem-solving, which were carefully designed to necessitate the implementation of the scaffolding technique. The students in the control group were taught by the deductive method of the lesson book. The students’ performance in the post-test was compared for both groups in order to determine whether there were significant differences between the groups in relation to the treatment. Significant differences occurring in the experimental group’s post-test speaking performance when compared to the pre-test indicate that the implementation of scaffolding technique can improve students’ speaking ability. The result of this study indicates scaffolding technique has the potential for use in promoting students’ speaking ability

An Investigation of Students’ Strategies and Methods in Translating English Text into Indonesian

English has important function in every aspect in this era, especially in education side. Someone demanded to know the meaning and function of English word. So that, translation is also the other four skills in mastering English language, besides Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing, Translation is also has main function. The objectives of this research were to find out if the students commit translation in English Text, to describe the method which was applied by the students to translate the English text, to observe the students ability in translate the English text. Therefore, this study seemed very relevant to a case study because it attempted to investigate and explore the student’s strategies in one class of 23 students. In this research, the researcher applied test to the students. In technique of the test, the researcher gave the English text and asked the students to translated the English text as well as possible as they could. There are four criteria to assess the student’s translation, they are message content accuracy, message distinct, equivalences of using language and the last are mechanic appropriateness. The researcher also has done interviewed the translation lecturer regarded as the key of the informant who really knew how far the student’s ability to translate English text. The result of the interview was given to the teacher; showed 4 th semester students still got lot of difficulties, they only used one technique in translate. Especially the words seldom their finds in the English lesson books. Furthermore, the lecturer should be creative by finding the appropriate method of translation for 4 th semester students in translating English text into Indonesian language, and the lecturer also gives always motivation to the students that the text must understand with translate the source language into their target language exactly in Indonesian language. Meanwhile the students also needed longer time to practice in translating text from English text into Indonesian text because they don’t have right method and also lack of vocabulary in translating English text although the lecturer had already given exercise to practice of English text, but it was not enough to build students interest to practice translating English text.
