Deterministic approach to assess landslide susceptibility and landslide activity in the Central-Western Region of Slovakia

Quantitative assessments in landslide susceptibility evaluation are typically dominated by statistical analyses. However, this paper employs a deterministic approach to construct such maps, specifically focusing on the stability assessment of shallow landslides with slip surfaces generally not exceeding 5 m in depth at a regional scale. The study area chosen for this research is the landslide-prone region between Hlohovec and Sereď towns in the central-western part of Slovakia. Our focus is on the activation of shallow landslides, representing the youngest, third generation of landslide evolution in the area. For the stability assessment, three scenarios were considered using deterministic analysis: a scenario involving dry slopes, a scenario under partially saturated conditions, and a scenario of fully saturated slopes. This approach enables the assessment of stability conditions based on qualitative parameters derived from both field and laboratory research. The results from the deterministic analysis aid in defining different stages of activity within the landslide body. These Landslide susceptibility maps were verified directly in the field, and most landslides reactivated from 2011 to the present fell into the class with the safety factor below 1.0. In comparison with the landslide hazard map created by using bivariate statistical analysis, it was observed that 89.97% of the area is in a very high level of landslide hazard, given a safety factor below 1.0. This highlights the effectiveness of the deterministic approach in capturing the vulnerability of the region to shallow landslides.

Support of Characteristics, Physical Environmental and Psychological On Quality Of Life Of Patients With DM Type II

Background: Diabetes mellitus is one of the diseases that ranks high in the list of non-communicable diseases in Indonesia. Factors that can affect quality of life such as physical environment and psychological. Objective: This study aims to examine the relationship between characteristic, physical environment and psychological on quality of life of type II diabetes mellitus patients at the Barombong Public Health Center, Makkasar City. Methodology: This study is a quantitative research with an analytical observational approach using a cross-sectional design. The population size in this study is 578 individuals, sample calculation using the WHO formula yielded a sample size of 385 individuals with predefined exclusion an inclusion criteria. The sampling technique employed is simple random sampling (SRS), and the hypothesis test used is chi-square. Results: Bivariate statistical analysis shows that there is a relationship between quality of life and age (p=0,000), duration of illness (p=0,000), temperature (p=0,000), noise (p=0,000), positive feelings (p=0,000), thinking, learning, and concentration (p=0,000), self-esteem (p=0,000), while variables that are not associated with quality of life are gender (p=0,111), marital status (p=0,228) and social support (p=0,645). Based on logistic regression analysis, it was found that the factors that most influence quality of life are duration of illness (p=0,000) and positive feelings (p=0,000). Conclusion: Length of suffering and positive feelings are the most dominant variables associated with quality of life with a probability level of 99.8%.

Presurgical Reduction of the Cleft Palate: Serendipitous Benefit of the Stanford Orthodontic Airway Plate Treatment (SOAP) for Infants with Robin Sequence.

Narrowing of the palatal cleft is often observed in infants with Robin sequence (RS) treated with the Stanford Orthodontic Airway Plate treatment (SOAP) even though SOAP is utilized primarily to establish airway patency. The current study quantified dimensional changes of the cleft palate (CP) in infants with RS treated with SOAP. A retrospective chart review. Infants with RS and CP who completed SOAP and had maxillary arch models at both pre- and post-treatment time points at a single tertiary referral hospital between September 2019 and July 2023. Maxillary arch models were measured and analyzed using Bivariate statistical analysis. Seventeen infants were included in the study. The median age (min, max) was 6.7 weeks (1.1, 21.9) at pre-treatment and 26.6 weeks (18.7, 37.0) at post-treatment. The median Obstructive Apnea Hypopnea Index was 36.2 events/hour (8.1, 103.1) at pre-treatment and 4.1 events/hour (1.9, 8.6) at post-treatment. The pre-treatment width of CP decreased by an average (± standard diviation) of 6.37 mm (± 3.55, p < 0.001) at post-treatment. The ratio of the posterior cleft width to the total maxillary arch width decreased from 40% (± 9.1) at pre-treatment to 22% (± 11) at post-treatment (p < 0.001). The dimensions of CP reduced significantly during SOAP in infants with RS and CP treated for their severe upper airway obstruction. The findings highlight a potential benefit of SOAP that may contribute favorably to the palate repair surgery.

Patient Safety Culture from a Nursing Perspective in a Chilean Hospital.

Patient safety culture is relevant both in the delivery of care and in the training of nursing staff, its purpose being to prevent and reduce risks associated with health care. This research aims to evaluate patient safety culture from the perspective of the nursing teams in a highly complex public hospital in the city of Valparaíso, Chile. A cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach applying descriptive, bivariate, and inferential statistical analysis was conducted on 259 nurses and nursing assistants from 13 adult medical-surgical units of the Carlos Van Buren hospital. The participants were obtained through a non-probabilistic convenience sample, answering the hospital survey on Patient Safety Culture version 2.0 (HSOPS 2.0), adapted to the Chilean population. The best-evaluated dimension was communication and receptivity; the worst was the support administrators provide for patient safety. This study identified the weaknesses and strengths of the hospital, the most worrying weakness being the shortage of human capital, material, and financial resources necessary to improve patient safety. Discharging Care Orders in England and Wales: A New Typology of Applications and Outcomes

Abstract A care order represents one of the most significant state interventions in England and Wales. The end of a care order is equally important, often meaning a withdrawal of statutory support and monitoring, and children returning home to birth parent(s), living with kinship carers or living independently. Despite its importance, little is known about the discharge of care orders. This article reports on the findings of the first study of the discharge of care orders in England and Wales. Casefile data from 323 children’s records were analysed using descriptive and bivariate statistical analysis. Qualitative data from the same records were collected and analysed thematically. Interviews and focus groups were also held with forty-one professionals involved in discharge. Based on the findings, this article reports on a new typology of discharge applications. The typology represents six distinctly different types of application varying on: process and application outcome; length of proceedings; applicant motivation and age and views of the child. The typology developed indicates that differentiated legal and social work processes may be needed to better meet the needs of children and families. This article concludes by presenting recommendations for policy, practice and research in this field.

Scope of practice of oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeons: a public perception survey

ABSTRACT Purpose The purpose of this study is to determine the public’s perception of the scope of practice for oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeons (OFPRS). Methods A 49-question survey was distributed by QualtricsⓇ to a panel similar to the US demographic composition. Responses collected underwent bivariate statistical analysis. Result A total of 530 responses were obtained, with most respondents being white, female, over the age of 35, from the Midwest, and with at least a college education or above. Most respondents did not think ophthalmologists or optometrists were surgeons, and only 158 people (29.8%) knew the primary specialty of OFPRS was ophthalmology. Board certification was preferred by 98.87% of respondents, and 95.28% preferred ASOPRS-trained OFPRS. Conclusions Our study highlights the gap in knowledge about OFPRS as a field, the qualifications and training required, and the scope of practice. Notably, even for OFPRS-specific procedures, PRS remained the leading subspecialist chosen for interventions such as orbital decompression (58.5% vs. 71.5%), orbital reconstruction (57.9% vs. 74.2%), enucleation/evisceration (48.1% vs. 53.4%), optic nerve-related surgery (39.8% vs. 43.4%), orbital cancer resection (42.8% vs. 46.8%), and tear duct surgery (41.9% vs. 52.5%). Additionally, most respondents did not feel that facial fillers, laser skin resurfacing, eyelid cancer removal, or cataract surgery were within the OFPRS scope of practice.

Exploring the Causes of Low Literacy Rate: A Case Study of District Lasbela, Balochistan

The aim of this study is to examine the basic causes and consequences of the low literacy rate in the district of Lasbela Balochistan, Pakistan. Education plays a predominant role and has a cross cutting influence on all features of human life. It is an energetic speculation for economic and human improvement. The most fundamental and important need for each individual and for society at large is education. The purpose of this study was to ascertain the literacy rate in district Lasbela using descriptive research methodology. A sample of 200 respondents was selected to collect data form nine tehsils of Lasbela district with help of self-administered close ended questionnaire. Mixed methodology was adopted to scrutinize research problems. The study made use of univariate and bivariate statistical analysis methods, data visualization, and the chi-square test of independence. Software called SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) is also utilized for statistical applications and data analysis. The result of the study indicates that low earnings of family (poverty), poor management in education and dropout of students have a moderate and statistically significant effect on the illiteracy rate respectively. For policy recommendations some constructive measures have been suggested such as induction of qualified and skills teachers, best management system in educational sector, opportunities for local people in jobs and free and feasible education for the students at all levels. The socio-economic impacts of COVID-19 on selected mining companies in Limpopo Province, South Africa

This study explores the socio-economic impacts of the pandemic on mining value chains, using a mixed-methods approach. A thematic analysis, based on open-ended survey questions and interviews, was performed to determine the impacts on value chains and employee welfare and determine the coping mechanisms. The survey data, gathered from 408 respondents in Limpopo Province of South Africa, provided quantitative information. Bivariate statistical analysis was used to discern variations in responses between various occupational groups. The results indicate differentiated impacts among occupational groups, including loss of revenue, disruptions of the value chain, and welfare disruptions. Despite these challenges, the study found that some new safety measures helped the mining industry better handle the impacts of COVID-19. In conclusion, the study highlights the importance of taking proactive steps to make the mining industry more resilient. It emphasises the need for support, especially for communities that are vulnerable in times of crisis. The findings suggest that, moving forward, the mining industry should be prepared for future challenges by adopting innovative solutions and ensuring the well-being of its workers.

Evaluating Prescriber Adherence to a Standardized Postoperative Opioid Prescription Protocol for Cubital Tunnel Surgery

Concerns regarding the ongoing opioid epidemic have led to the implementation of standardized postoperative opioid-prescribing protocols for many common hand surgical procedures. This study investigated patient- and procedure-specific factors affecting adherence to a standardized postoperative opioid-prescribing protocol after cubital tunnel surgery. A retrospective review of patients who underwent primary cubital tunnel surgery within one academic medical system between October 1, 2016 (after the implementation of a standardized postoperative opioid-prescribing protocol) and March 1, 2020 was performed. Patients aged <18 years or with a history of revision surgery, prior traumatic ulnar nerve injury, additional concurrent surgical procedures, or a surgeon not participating in the protocol were excluded. Patient demographics, comorbidities, prior opioid history, and surgical variables were recorded. The primary outcome was adherence to the standardized postoperative opioid-prescribing protocol. A bivariate statistical analysis was performed. Ninety-eight patients were included. The median initial postoperative prescription amount was 75 morphine equivalent units (100% of protocol target) for 78 patients (80% of cohort) who underwent in situ decompression and 75 morphine equivalent units (50% of protocol target) for 20 patients (20% of cohort) who underwent decompression with ulnar nerve transposition. Forty-nine percent of initial opioid prescriptions adhered to protocol, compared with 26% below target and 26% above target. In the bivariate analysis, recent opioid prescriptions within 3 months preoperatively were associated with improved prescriber protocol adherence; longer tourniquet time and anterior transposition were associated with prescriptions below target, and in situ decompression was associated with prescriptions above target. Variation in postoperative opioid-prescribing patterns persists despite the implementation of a standardized postoperative opioid-prescribing protocol. Recent opioid prescriptions were associated with protocol adherence, possibly reflecting increased provider vigilance in this patient population. Aquifers Recharge Potentiality Evaluation using Bivariate and Multivariate Statistical Analysis: A Case Study in Malwathu Oya River Basin

An aquifer is a body of porous rock or sediment saturated with groundwater that plays a vital role in the hydrological cycle. Due to rapid population growth and urbanization, these valuable resources face threats like climate changes, pollution, and over-exploitation. Overdraft, where extraction exceeds recharge, can lead to groundwater depletion. Although Sri Lanka is not considered a water- scarce country, it faces rising water demands due to rapid population growth. Especially in dry zones, groundwater is crucial for drinking and agriculture; unauthorized agro-wells exacerbate groundwater issues. Therefore, this research aims to assess groundwater recharge potential zones in Malwathu Oya river basin using Bivariate and Multivariate statistical analysis. Comparing these techniques will lead to the precise identification of potential recharge areas. And this study primarily focuses on the implementation of GIS to find solutions for this kind of challenge without performing field investigations. Therefore, eight conditioning factors; water level, electrical conductivity, lithology, soil, slope, lineament density, drainage density and land use were selected as groundwater recharge influencing factors. The well inventory database consisted of 380 well locations and, out of these, 70% was considered as the training dataset, and the remaining 30% was taken as the testing data set. Groundwater recharge potential maps (GRP) were developed in ArcGIS 10.8, based on the results obtained from Frequency Ratio (FR), Logistic Regression (LR) and their ensemble method. For testing the accuracy of the FR model, test well locations were cross tabulated with the GRP map, and the highest well percentage was achieved in high groundwater recharge potential zone (37.39%). In the LR model, cross-tabulation results showed that 62.61% of testing wells were in the very high potential zones. The ensemble method of FR and LR revealed that 53.04% of test wells fall into the very high potential class. Hence, it can be assumed that LR predictions are more reliable than the FR model. To further validate the LR model and ensemble model, Receiver Operating Characteristics curve method was used. The Area Under the Curve (AUC) values for Success rate curve (SRC) and prediction rate curve (PRC) in LR method were 63% and 57% respectively. In ensemble method, the AUC values for SRC and PRC were 89% and 75%. These results indicate that the LR model is relatively poor estimator, whereas FR and LR ensemble method is relatively good estimator to evaluate groundwater recharge potential in Mulwathu Oya river basin.&#x0D; &#x0D; Keywords: Area under curve, Frequency ratio, GIS, Groundwater recharge, Logistic regression&#x0D;

Osteo-morphometric Approach to the Heads of Dromedaries (Camelus dromedarius, L, 1758): Case of the Algerian Targui Population

Background: This study, conducted on a sample of 60 bones, provides an in-depth analysis of the main characteristics of dromedary skulls, their variability and the correlations between their various parts. These data have made it possible to isolate measurements that could provide a general overview in camel craniometry. This area lacks research and this work, by focusing on sexual dimorphism, which is an important diagnostic factor, aims to deepen the understanding of the Targui population in the Ouargla region of Algeria. Methods: This study comprising a total of 30 males and 30 females Targui, organized into 4 groups: 15 young adult males (aged 5 to 9 years), 15 adult males (over 10 years), 15 young adult females (aged 5 to 9 years) and 15 adult females (over 10 years). The skulls are collected after slaughter. Each cranium was weighed and then measured using a caliper (15 linear measurements: 7 length measurements, 6 width measurements, 2 skull height measurements). The data underwent univariate, bivariate and multivariate statistical analysis. Results: For each measured variable, males are larger than females. The lateral width of the neurocranium CL5 shows the highest level of sexual dimorphism with an index close to 55%, followed by weight, which reaches 28.74%. This dimorphism is clear in the skull: males not only have larger bones but also longer ones, as is the case with cattle. This is a significant difference compared to other ruminants such as sheep or goats, where bone length is not a dimorphic parameter.

Predictors of surgical difficulty in upper third molar removal: a prospective cohort study.

Upper third molar (U3M) removal is a common surgical procedure. The aims of this study were to assess the patient-specific, radiological and surgical factors related to the difficulty of U3M removal, and to determine the incidence of intraoperative and postoperative complications. A prospective cohort study was carried out in adult patients undergoing U3M removal. Operative time, surgeon-reported difficulty and the Parant classification were used to assess extraction difficulty. Clinical, radiological and surgical factors were recorded to determine their relationship with surgical difficulty. A descriptive, bivariate and multivariate statistical analysis was carried out. A total of 250 patients were included. The mean operative time was 10.4 (±12.3) minutes, mean surgeon-reported difficulty was 3.2/10 (±2.3). The multivariate analysis showed greater impaction against the second molar and greater soft tissue and bony impaction to significantly increase operative time and surgeon-perceived difficulty. Additionally, surgeon experience was related to perceived difficulty. The overall incidence of intraoperative complications was 0.8%, and no postoperative events were recorded. Upper third molars in close relation with the roots of the adjacent second molar and with soft tissue and bony impaction are significantly more difficult to extract. Perceived difficulty was related to surgeon experience. This procedure appears to produce few intra- and postoperative complications.

Landslide Susceptibility Analysis of Jugal Rural Municipality, Sindhupalchok

Hilly and mountainous areas of Nepal, with challenging terrain, young geology, and heavy monsoon rainfall, are susceptible to landslides and slope instability. To analyze and prepare landslide susceptibility maps, this study selects a typical hilly area, the Jugal Rural Municipality in Sindhupalchok district. Twelve factors contributing to landslides were considered, including slope, aspect, elevation, geology, land use, proximity to roads and drainage, plan curvature, profile curvature, NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index), soil type and rainfall. Moreover, 286 landslides were identified using high-resolution satellite imagery and field verification as the landslide inventory. These landslides were then randomly divided into two sets: 70% for training and 30\% for validation. Bivariate statistical analysis was performed using factor maps and the landslide inventory map. Notably, the analysis revealed a Prediction Rate (PR) of 9.35 for 'Land use', the highest among all factors considered. Since land use is a dynamic factor, we recommend conducting an analysis of land use changes and their impact on landslide susceptibility. Such an assessment would be invaluable during the planning and execution phases of development projects in Nepal's disaster-prone regions.

A retrospective review of the impact of immunization eCare plans in community-based pharmacy setting

BackgroundThe Pharmacist Electronic Care (eCare) plan is an electronic documentation and billing platform that allows for exchanging and integrating pharmacy patient care information. eCare plans make it easier for pharmacists to track recommendations and referrals to both patients and providers and to bill for services. ObjectivesTo determine the impact on the type and number of vaccines administered after the completion of immunization eCare plans and to examine sociodemographic differences in patients who received immunizations were documented in an eCare plan in a community-based pharmacy setting. Practice DescriptionBremo Pharmacy is an independently owned pharmacy located in Richmond, Virginia. Bremo Pharmacy offers a medication synchronization program targeting patients for enrollment in compliance packaging and clinical services. Practice InnovationBremo Pharmacists use eCare plans to track patient and provider interactions, goals, and medication-related information. Pharmacists used eCare plans to document vaccine recommendations and interactions with patients as a tool to increase vaccinations. Evaluation MethodsReports were generated to extract data containing information from each eCare plan during the intervention period and the number and type of vaccines administered 1 and 2 years before the intervention. Percent change was used to calculate the change in vaccines administered between years. The sociodemographic data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and bivariate statistical analysis using SAS 9.0 (Cary, NC). ResultsThere were a total of 1105 immunization eCare plans completed. An increase of 136.6% in vaccines administered occurred after the implementation of the eCare plans. While the number of vaccines administered increased, no significant differences were found in vaccine uptake by gender or age. ConclusionImmunization eCare plans are a useful tool to help pharmacists increase the number of vaccines administered in an independent pharmacy.

Analysis of internal gamma-ray dose to the public from brick as building material in Tamil Nadu, India.

Natural radioactivity due to 238U, 232Th and 40K in brick samples from Tamil Nadu was determined using gamma-ray spectrometry. The mean activity concentrations of 238U, 232Th and 40K, 69±6, 62±6 and 462±23Bqkg-1, are slightly greater than the world recommended limits of 35, 45 and 420Bqkg-1, respectively, and they are compared with a similar work carried out across the world. The radiological parameters such as radium equivalent activity, Raeq (193±17Bqkg-1), internal hazard index, Hin (0.71±0.06), and activity utilisation index, AUI (1.43±0.13), was lower, whilst absorbed dose rate, DRin (89±8 nGy h-1), annual effective dose equivalent, AEDEin (0.43±0.04mSv y-1), and excess lifetime cancer risk, ELCRin (1.52±0.13mSv y-1), are slightly greater than the world's recommended limit. Bi-variate statistical analysis was performed to corroborate the relationship between radionuclides and radiological hazards.

Abstract Background: Parenting style is one factor supporting the achievement of children's speech and language development according to their age stages because proper parenting is very important so that children can have good growth. The family is the first container that influences the development of children's vocabulary comprehension abilities. Parenting style is closely related to the development of vocabulary comprehension skills in children, the better the parenting style, the better the child's ability to understand vocabulary. Purpose: This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between parenting styles and the ability to understand vocabulary in children with intellectual disabilities in SLB Surakarta. Methods: Research using quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study were children with intellectual disabilities at SLB Surakarta. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling. The number of respondents in this study were 30 respondents. Data analysis was carried out by using descriptive and bivariate statistical analysis tests. Spearman Rank's test is used for bivariate analysis. Results: The results of the analysis test with Spearman Rank's found a relationship between parenting styles and the ability to understand vocabulary. It is proven based on the analysis of the data obtained a significance of 0.001 where if it is less than 0.05 then Ha (alternative hypothesis) is accepted and the correlation coefficient (r) was -0.683. Conclusion: There is a relationship between parenting style and the ability to understand vocabulary in children with intellectual disabilities in SLB Surakarta. The Effect of Shift Work on Fatigue in Processing Workers at PTPN IV Kebun Adolina Serdang Bedagai District

Work fatigue is aconditions experienced by the workforce which can result in a decrease in vitality and work productivity. Fatigue is a state of tiredness associated with working long hours, long periods without sleep, or the requirement to work hours out of sync with the body's biological rhythms. Work fatigue will reduce performance and increase the level of work errors. Increased work errors will provide opportunities for work accidents in the industry, as well as reduce work effectiveness. This study aims to determine the effect of work shifts on fatigue in processing workers at PTPN IV Kebun Adolina, Serdang Bedagai District. This type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional research design. A total of 70 respondents were sampled by probability sampling. Univariate and bivariate statistical analysis using the chi-square test. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was an effect of shift work on fatigue in processing workers. The results of statistical tests using chi-square obtained a p-value of 0.001 &lt;0.05. To overcome this, the company can provide drinks and provide additional nutritious food.

Occurrence and Outcomes of Acute Cerebrovascular Events in Patients with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma

Background Stroke or Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) is one of the leading causes of mortality in the world whether it be ischemic or hemorrhagic 1,2. There has been an association of increased incidence of stroke in patients with cancer due to multiple factors 3. Regarding hematologic malignancies, there have been studies to assess the risk of developing stroke in patients with Hodgkin lymphoma (HL), however the information on non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is limited and not well understood4. We conducted a retrospective case-control study to assess the incidence, risks, and complications and length of stay of patients with current or prior history of NHL who developed an ischemic stroke. Methods This case-control study identified 29,632 patients older than 18 years, with or without CVA and with or without active or history of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL) who were admitted to diverse private hospitals between 2018-2022. The patients were divided into two groups, one with current or prior NHL (n=10,699) and a control group of patients (n=18,933) with similar characteristics. Patients with active hemorrhagic stroke, pregnancy, malignancies other than NHL, prior hemorrhagic or ischemic stroke, infective endocarditis, atrial fibrillation, and acute coronary syndrome on admission were excluded. We compared patient's characteristics and the risk of developing a stroke based on the presence or absence of NHL as well as the factors that increased hospital mortality. Length of stay was evaluated as a secondary outcome. Bivariate statistical analysis was used to calculate the odds ratios using RStudio 4.2.2 and JMP Pro 16.0 for all data analysis. Results Of the group with NHL 46.39 % (n=4958) were female, and 53.61% (n=5729) were male, 42% were current or former smokers (n=4497), 27.49% (n=2941) had diabetes, 44.68% (n=4780) had hypertension; 3.34% (357) of them passed away. Of the control group 57.51 % (n=10876) were female, and 42.49% (n=8036) were male, 35% were current or former smokers (n=6763), 16.43% (n=3111) had diabetes, 28.89% (n=5469) had hypertension; 0.47% (n=88) of them passed away. The mean length of stay of patients with stroke was 7.99 days in the NHL group, and 5.99 days in the control group. Regarding the admissions due to stroke, there were 214 patients in the group with NHL, and in the control group where there were 113. Patients with NHL are more likely to have a CVA compared to the control group (OR 2.39 p&amp;lt;0.0001 CI 1.47~3.85) Patients who have NHL are more likely to die (OR=6.08 p&amp;lt;0.001) CI 4.77~7.74) compared to patients without NHL from all causes. Conclusion Patients with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma have an increased risk of developing a stroke compared to patients with similar characteristics but without NHL (or other malignancies). It was also noted that patients had an increased length of stay. Other variables and characteristics of patients that were identified to be more likely to have a CVA and statistically significant for this sample are already well-known risk factors for CVA including diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease. However, this study aimed to isolate those variables to identify the risk for stroke in this unique population. Our study limitation is the broad spectrum of NHL and possible confounders between the different variants of NHL. More studies are needed to investigate this. Assessment of Levels of Anxiety and Fear of Covid-19 in a Population of Pregnant Women in Spain.

The aim of the study was to assess the levels of fear and anxiety in the particularly vulnerable population group of women during pregnancy. Cross-sectional study between March 2022 and July 2022 involving 978 pregnant women aged 16 to 50 years. It was carried out based on the scale for the assessment of fear and anxiety in pregnant women (AMICO_Pregnant) and the collection of sociodemographic data. Normality analysis was performed prior to univariate and bivariate statistical analysis. The sample was composed of a total of 978 pregnant women. The mean of the AMICO_Pregnant scale was intermediate (5.04 points; SD=2.36). The bivariate analysis showed a statistically significant relationship between the AMICO_Pregnant scale and the following variables: vaccination schedule status, contact with the disease, weeks of gestation, altered delivery or birth plan. Women with pregnancies closer to term, with no contact with the disease, without a complete vaccination schedule, or who had undergone changes in their delivery or birth plans, showed higher levels of fear and anxiety.
