El Cuestionario de Salud General de Goldberg (GHQ-28): Una revisión sistemática

In order to facilitate the understanding of tools that monitor general health, we developed a systematic review of the Goldberg General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28) to determine the risk factors that explain the psychological problems that were identified in the general population. Previously, a bibliometric approach was carried out to identify research trends on the scientific literature of the GHQ-28. We use Web of Science and Scopus as information sources to retrieve scientific production on GHQ-28, from 2016 and 2021 in English and Spanish. We retrieved 45 studies obtained by search equations, including only 33 systematic review studies after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria. A massive increase in post-covid-19 pandemic mental health problems was identified, being reported using the GHQ-28 instrument. Common risk factors are identified that inform mental health deterioration. The instrument is useful for the early identification of symptoms and the formulation of prevention and intervention programs in favor of the mental health of the human population.

Food Security Challenges for Hospital Sustainability

Background: Food security and safety are becoming major concerns worldwide. Providing food security and safety in hospitals is particularly challenging since their populations are diverse in dietary and nutritional requirements and more vulnerable to foodborne illnesses. The aim of this research is to promote hospital sustainability by addressing food security and food safety. Method: This study uses a quantitative method with a bibliometric study approach. This research has 212 articles from the Scopus database. All the documents were collected simultaneously in August 2022. The selected article encompassed the years from 2017 to 2021, including document type, publication stage, source type, language, and subject area. The data was analyzed using VOSviewer and NVivo analytical tools. Results: The results of the studies on food security and safety increased from 2017-2022 with current trends in hospital sustainability, food waste, and waste management in food. Our study has identified four clusters: hospital food services, hospital sustainability, nutrition, and food safety. Food security is positively correlated with assessment, challenges, measurement, status, and sustainability (Pearson correlation score is 1). Disease control, proper waste management, and environmental health are all associated with food safety (Pearson correlation score ±0.79-0.64). Conclusion: Food safety and security are critical to achieve hospital sustainability, therefore awareness-raising efforts must continue. It is recommended that hospital stakeholders, food service providers; public and private sectors adopt policies and guidelines to disseminate information on food safety and security concerning hospital sustainability.

Global Research Trends on Factors Affecting Tuberculosis (TB) Adherence and Dropout: A Bibliometric Study

ABSTRACT Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the significant global health challenges, especially in resource-limited countries. Adherence to TB treatment is key to successful therapy and preventing the emergence of drug resistance. However, dropout rates or discontinuation of treatment before completion remains a major problem that needs to be addressed. This study aims to analyze global trends in research focusing on factors affecting TB treatment adherence and dropout through a bibliometric approach. Using the Publish or Perish application, relevant scientific articles with keywords such as treatment adherence, tuberculosis, treatment dropout, and influencing factors were searched from 2017 to 2024. A total of 50 articles from Google Scholar were further analyzed to identify by publication year, country, publisher, citation, and article type. The data was then processed using VOSviewer to visualize the relationship between keywords and research trends through Network Visualization, Overlay Visualization, and Density Visualization. The results of the analysis showed that Indonesia is the country with the highest number of publications, demonstrating a great commitment in addressing the TB challenge. Articles published in reputable journals, especially those adopting systematic and meta-analysis approaches, show great impact with a high number of citations. Bibliometric visualizations reveal that the focus of research lies on factors such as treatment, adherence, health workers, and access. In addition, family and community support was also found to be an important element in ensuring treatment adherence. In conclusion, this study emphasizes the need for a comprehensive and collaborative approach in improving TB treatment adherence and preventing dropouts. Further research in this area is needed to address existing gaps and develop more effective strategies in the fight against TB. Bibliometric Mapping of Factors Influencing Compliance in Nursing Care Documentation

ABSTRACT Accurate and complete nursing documentation plays an important role in ensuring the quality of nursing care and patient safety. However, adherence to documentation standards among nurses often remains a challenge that affects the overall quality of medical records and clinical interventions. This study was conducted to map research trends and factors affecting compliance in nursing documentation through a bibliometric analysis approach. The main objective of this study was to identify the main topics, key factors, as well as emerging publication trends related to nursing documentation compliance over the past few years. This study used the Publish or Perish application to collect 50 scientific articles published between 2016 and 2024, with keywords such as "compliance", "completeness", and "nursing care documentation". The data obtained was then analyzed using VOSviewer to visualize the bibliometric network based on the keywords that appeared in the literature. Through Network Visualization, Overlay Visualization, and Density Visualization, this study identified the main keywords such as "completeness", "motivation", "knowledge", and "compliance" that were most frequently discussed in related studies. The results of the analysis showed that documentation completeness and its influencing factors, such as nurse motivation and knowledge, are the main focus in the documentation compliance literature. In addition, the publication trend shows a significant increase in 2020 and 2021, most likely related to the COVID-19 pandemic situation that drives increased attention to the quality of documentation in healthcare. The conclusion of this study shows that adherence in nursing documentation, specifically related to the completeness, motivation, and knowledge of nurses, is an important topic that continues to grow in research. Although technologies such as electronic medical records are also relevant, the focus of research seems to be more on behavioral factors that influence documentation quality. This study provides guidance for researchers to identify gaps in the literature that could be further explored, especially in the development of more effective and integrated documentation systems. Exploring Trends in Chemical Education: A Bibliometric Analysis (2019-2024)

A Bibliometric analysis is essential to comprehensively evaluate the progress and impact of chemical education research. The purpose is to analyze the visualization of bibliometric mapping on the network between keys, the most frequently discussed topics, and recommendations for research opportunities on the topic of Chemical Education. This research is quantitative descriptive research with a bibliometric approach. The stages carried out include the data collection process, checking and refilling bibliographic attributes, then bibliometric analysis using VOS viewer software. Data collection is done by searching for Scopus indexed journal articles through Publish or Perish (PoP). Data from Publish or Perish (PoP) is filled in and completed in the author keywords section manually using desktop Mendeley software then integrated into the VOS viewer software for mapping. The results of the analysis of keyword mapping in Scopus indexed scientific articles from 2019-2024, it is known that in the last 5 years, in Scopus indexed journals there are 462 different keywords and form 2072 connecting lines and 35 clusters. The keywords with the strongest links based on VOS viewer include: chemistry education (27), first-year undergraduate/general (25), curriculum (22), general public (20), green chemistry (18), systems thinking (18), high school/introductory chemistry (16), upper-division undergraduate (14).

Comprehensive Bibliometric Analysis and Systematic Review of Two Decades of Food Vendors Study: Deciphering the Dynamics of Food Vendor Research

This study examines food vendor research over a two-decade period (2005-2023), using both bibliometric and systematic review approaches. Using data from the Scopus database with 421 articles, the study shows a significant increase in research production, with a focus on food security, consumer behavior, and the influence of COVID-19. The bibliometric analysis reveals major study issues, such as food safety, sustainability, and the informal sector, while a systematic examination of the top 20 most-cited publications provides additional insight into the research landscape. This review emphasizes the need of include time in food accessibility studies, the need for a more nuanced understanding of food deserts, and the increased interest in organic vegetable marketing and insect eating. Also this is the first article which completely drafted in the perspective of food vendors. The study concludes by identifying limitations and suggesting future research directions, emphasizing the importance of an interdisciplinary approach, incorporating qualitative methods, focusing on specific regions, investigating the impact of the internet, and delving deeper into purchasing habits, sustainability, and socioeconomic impacts. This thorough analysis lays the groundwork for future research, encouraging the creation of more fair, sustainable, and resilient food systems.

Narratives of growth of formative technological innovation systems based on a knowledge perspective: the case of medical devices

Purpose This study aims to analyze the narratives of growth during the initial stages of development of the medical device technological innovation system (TIS). This paper used micro/nanofluidic-based point-of-care testing (mnPOCT), a breakthrough technology in the health-care sector. Design/methodology/approach This study presents a framework that includes measures of knowledge breadth and sharing mechanisms based on cognitive and actor-based networks. The framework integrates bibliometric, network and statistics-based approaches with a focus on the first decade of mnPOCT development. Findings In addition to the typical patterns of technological emergence, the mnPOCT sector exhibits distinctive characteristics. This paper observed significant scientific content and a high geographic concentration. Although small- and medium-sized enterprises, particularly startups, detonate knowledge development, large companies play a subtle yet impactful role as innovation mediators. Interfirm alliances are sparse, reflecting the complementarities between startups and large firms throughout the innovation value chain. These alliances show a significant correlation with SME knowledge creation. Research limitations/implications This study provides researchers and practitioners with guidelines for assessing the dynamics of the growth of technologies in the earliest stages of growth through knowledge and implications for research strategy toward the development and deployment of effective system interventions. Originality/value The study of formative TISs presents challenges because of the nascent characteristics and uncertainties surrounding emerging technologies. Current discussions on the narratives of growth of emerging TISs are limited to broad descriptions, which hinder understanding of these formative stages. This study offers a unique approach to assessing the initial stages of technological evolution. Moreover, it contributes to the existing literature by providing guidelines for managing new technologies for R&D researchers and practitioners.

Bibliographical Exploration of Public Relations and Diplomacy: Public, Organisational, and Civil Society Perspectives

Abstract: This paper aims to describe, infer and interpret the corpus of references extracted from the book “Diplomacy, Organisations and Citizens. A European Communication Perspective” (Sebastião & Spínola, 2022), a collective volume published as an output of a three-year research and educational project exploring the intersection of public relations with public, organisational and civil society diplo¬macy, from a European perspective. A mixed methods approach of quantita¬tive and statistical techniques in conjunction with social network analysis (SNA) was applied to a corpus formed out of 785 unique entries corresponding to the book references. Borrowing from bibliometric approaches, the techniques of di¬rect citation networks, co-citation networks, and topic networks were used to map perspectives used in the book. Results point to a clear linguistic preference for English, to a saliency of journal articles overlapping with the increase in re¬search accessibility through digitalisation, to a clear dominance of a few journals coming from the fields of public relations and public diplomacy, and to a clear alignment of the perspectives on public, organisational and civil society diplo¬macy at the intersection of public relations and diplomacy, albeit from a debatable European perspective. The research is relevant to any scholar or practitioner in¬terested in how public relations and the democratised forms of diplomacy intersect and influence each other. It can also serve as a roadmap to how the explo¬ration of the bibliographical universe of a research project can be used as a self-reflection and evaluation tool. Comprehensive Utilization of Avocado in Biorefinery: A Bibliometric and Co-Occurrence Approach 2003–2023

In recent years, the consumption of avocado, both fresh and processed, has experienced a significant worldwide increase due to its recognized nutritional value and beneficial health effects. However, this industrial processing generates a substantial amount of underutilized byproducts, primarily the peel and seed, leading to significant environmental and economic challenges. Fortunately, these residues are rich in bioactive phytochemicals, making their recovery an excellent opportunity to enhance the sustainability and profitability of the modern avocado industry. This bibliometric analysis utilizes data from the Scopus platform to explore the comprehensive utilization of avocado waste. By employing a biorefinery approach and computational tools, the study aims to identify and extract value-added compounds with potential applications in the food, pharmaceutical, chemical, and cosmetic industries. The results highlight that the most relevant research topics are currently focused on sustainable and comprehensive biotransformation of avocado byproducts. Additionally, there is a growing emphasis on methods for extracting valuable products, characterizing their properties, and identifying potentially exploitable active compounds. Furthermore, research is increasingly exploring the environmental and economic factors associated with new research advancements, such as emerging environmental regulations, certifications, substitutes, and technological applications. One key gap identified in recent research advancements is the lack of a sustainable diagnostic framework for avocado utilization processes in a cascade system (multiple high-value consumer products and by-products such as bioplastic). This suggests a crucial area for future research efforts.

Bibliometric Analysis: Mapping the Role of Intellectual Capital in Enhancing Excellence Competing Colleges

In the knowledge economy, competitive advantage in Higher Education (HE) is based on intangible assets of Intellectual capital such as quality in teaching, research, innovation, image, reputation and stakeholder relations. Several studies have been conducted to analyze how intellectual capital contributes to competitive advantage in different contexts. However, it is still rare in the higher education sector. This study aims to fill this gap by providing knowledge mapping and evaluating articles , the role of intellectual capital contribution to competitive advantage in higher education. This study was conducted through a literature study using a bibliometric meta-analysis method approach . This study analyzed 13 publications taken from the Google Scholar database. The results of the study propose the development of variables that are able to improve the relationship between the role of intellectual capital contribution to competitive advantage in higher education comprehensively. The fields of leadership style, innovation and university performance are often associated with the context of university competitive advantage.

Research trends of collaborative governance in climate change: a bibliometric analysis

Purpose Climate change, a complex global issue, has prompted a wide range of actors – from nations to tiny communities – to seek solutions to mitigate its consequences. The growing emphasis on collaborative governance has resulted in substantial research on the topic. This paper aims to address the existing research void by using a bibliometric approach to investigate the evolution of studies on collaborative governance in the context of climate change. Design/methodology/approach This study conducted a bibliometric mapping of research on collaborative governance on climate change issues from the first study presented in 2007 to the research conducted in 2023, using 222 articles derived from the Scopus database and Web of Science. Steps for comprehensive bibliometric literature mapping via the VOSviewer software. Findings The study includes a complete overview of significant themes, including the most cited research, contributions from authors, countries, and institutions, as well as network analysis including co-citation, bibliographic coupling, and co-occurrence. Notably, the study looks at which countries have made the most substantial contributions, with the United States dominating with 40 studies over the last decade. The analysis reveals that collaborative governance in climate change, emphasizing its importance as a tool for governments and communities to mitigate climate risks. This is consistent with research emphasizing the need for coordination across multiple players to accomplish effective climate adaptation. The paper focuses on nine diverse research clusters, including community engagement, urban governance, disaster response and economic implications. Research limitations/implications This study is restricted to bibliometric analysis, which is conducted using sources from the Scopus and Web of Science databases. Future research is required to investigate the use of additional databases that offer a wider range of sources. In the interim, this investigation provides an overview of the concept of Collaborative Governance, which has the potential to serve as a strategy for the adaptation and resilience to climate change in global regions, cities and urban areas. Originality/value This study conducts a rigorous bibliometric review that improves our theoretical knowledge and practical use of collaborative governance in addressing climate change. It reveals innovative trends, research gaps and important recommendations for future studies, strengthening the strategic approach to collaborative climate action.

A Decade in Blockchain: A Bibliometric Reflection on the Growth and Interdisciplinary Reach of a Disruptive Technology

This study seeks to deliver a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of blockchain research undertaken from 2013 to 2023. It seeks to map the field’s evolution, highlight emerging trends, and identify key contributors and thematic areas. Understanding these aspects is crucial for guiding future research and policymaking in the rapidly growing domain of blockchain technology. The study utilises a systematic bibliometric analysis approach and the Scopus database was used for collecting data. The analysis includes keyword trends, citation patterns, author productivity, and network analysis. The results reveal significant expansion and diversification in blockchain research, with 13,369 publications and 52,009 contributing authors. Key metrics include a total citation count of 266,483 and an average of 19.93 citations per paper, underscoring the field’s scholarly impact. The study identifies core research themes such as smart contracts, security, IoT integration, and emerging topics like AI and sustainability. The findings highlight the interdisciplinary nature of blockchain research and its global distribution, with notable contributions from China and the United States. The study’s reliance on selected databases and predefined keywords may exclude relevant grey literature and industry reports. Future research should integrate these sources for a more complete view. This study provides a panoramic view of blockchain research, offering valuable insights into its development, current state, and future directions. Identifying key trends, influential contributors, and emerging themes contributes to the academic discourse and supports strategic planning for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers engaged in blockchain technology.

Mapping The Growth of ESG Research: A Bibliometric Analysis Using Bradford's, Lotka's, and Zipf's Laws

Objective: The objective of this study is to investigate the growth and development of research on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors using bibliometric analysis. The aim is to understand the publication trends in ESG research and identify influential authors, key themes, and opportunities for future studies. Theoretical Framework: The research is grounded in key bibliometric laws such as Bradford's law (journal productivity), Lotka's law (scientific productivity of authors), and Zipf's law (word frequency analysis). These laws form the basis of the study and provide a solid framework for understanding the evolution of ESG research. Method: This study adopts a bibliometric analysis approach, using data from the Web of Science and Scopus databases. A total of 699 articles from 345 journals and 1,574 authors were analyzed. Techniques like citation analysis, co-citation analysis, bibliographic coupling, and network analysis were employed to assess publication patterns and collaborations. Data was processed using R software and Bibliometrix. Results and Discussion: The results reveal a significant increase in ESG-related publications, particularly after 2013, with annual growth of 39.97%. The study identifies influential authors, such as Hebbe and Buallay, and explores the themes of sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and governance. In the discussion, the results are contextualized within the broader ESG framework, highlighting the role of ESG in corporate behavior and investment strategies. Research Implications: The study provides insights into how ESG research can inform policy-making and corporate decision-making. The findings highlight the importance of ESG factors in sustainable development and suggest future research avenues in areas like digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by offering a comprehensive overview of ESG research, utilizing innovative bibliometric techniques to track its evolution. The originality lies in the use of multiple bibliometric laws to analyze ESG trends, making it valuable for researchers and practitioners looking to understand current and future directions in ESG.

How research contributions of professor Jiju Antony have influenced the field of quality management: an appraisal and critique

PurposeThe purpose of this study is to apply bibliometric techniques to critically examine the contributions of Professor (Dr) Jiju Antony in the domain of quality management research over a period close to 30 years (i.e. 1995 to 2023).Design/methodology/approachThe study incorporates a bibliometric analysis approach using VoSviewer software package to critically examine the contributions and trends in publications on Scopus indexed publications of Antony, followed by an industry wide evaluation of contributions made. Thematic analysis of the bibliographic data was imported in comma-separated values (CSV) format by selecting Antony (last name) and Jiju (first name) in the author search tab in Scopus. The search was made on September 09, 2023 and bibliographic records of 429 documents were considered for the analysis. The analysis was carried out in terms of most frequent keywords used, sources with most frequent publications, thematic analysis of most cited works and global collaborations.FindingsAntony has focused his research interest largely in the domain of quality management, publishing his research in top rated journals in the domain with a broad network of international collaborators. Antony has received 18,802 and 40,947 citations in Scopus and Google Scholar, respectively. This signifies the impact that Antony has created through his research publications. His major contributions are on the topics of six sigma, lean six sigma, continuous improvement, critical success factors and quality management practice implementations in various organizations. Diverse methodologies both qualitative and quantitative were utilized to conduct his research. However, his body of work is not without criticism. Such criticism includes the limited scope of work, with narrow focus on ISO 9001 and QMS standards, Total Quality Management (TQM). Critique also highlights the necessity for more depth, following insufficient exploration of distinctions between TQM and operational excellence (OPEX) methodologies like lean, six sigma, kaizen and agile. Antony’s work has yet to consider a diverse range of industry sectors, in terms of implementation of quality management principles, geographical location, the impact of national culture on corporate performance and explore data quality influence on decision-making. Notably, there is clear opportunity to consider the service sector in future research.Originality/valueTo best of the authors’ knowledge, there are few previous studies conducted using bibliometric analysis for analyzing the work of an individual. Therefore, the present study aims to set a trend whereby bibliometric analysis can be used to recognize and critically asses the contributions of other researchers in their respective domains.

Current research trends in child poverty and psychological resilience research: A bibliometric analysis approach

AbstractThe first of the sustainable development goals is to end poverty by 2030. Although many individual, social, and psychological resources have been proposed to reduce poverty, little is known about psychological resilience factors and related variables in reducing it. While the literature on childhood poverty and psychological resilience indicates that there was a relationship between these variables, it also draws attention to the fact that a growing interest in the need to consider psychological factors in reducing child poverty. Contextually, this study is bibliometric research that aims to reveal the current research trends about child poverty and psychological resilience. The researcher reviewed the Web of Science to highlight current trends in child poverty and resilience research and found 1065 relevant documents that met the inclusion criteria. The research used co‐occurrence, citation, and bibliographic coupling techniques from the bibliometric analysis type. Research results showed that poverty, resilience, children, protective factors, youth, parenting, COVID‐19, stress, and mental health were the nine significant clusters where the poverty and resilience keywords were gathered (items = 120, links = 988, total link strength = 1646). The United States had the most publications and was the most collaborative country. The most associated SDG target was good health and well‐being. Research trends underline that the five most studied keywords were resilience, poverty, children, health, and risk. Thematic map results indicated that socioeconomic status, childhood, and adjustment topics were important, well‐developed, and structuring themes, while resilience, poverty, and children topics were essential themes but still needed to be well‐developed. The research findings highlight the importance of resiliency factors that can potentially reduce child poverty. The results also give researchers essential insights into socioeconomic, mental, psychological, and environmental factors that they can use in their intervention practices holistically in reducing child poverty.

Fostering the Value of Religious Tolerance among Students through the Development of Potential Issues

Religious tolerance is a global priority amidst diverse beliefs and interests. This research explores potential issues in student religious tolerance for educational stakeholders. The study uses a qualitative bibliometric approach with descriptive data analysis. Findings indicate an increasing but modest trend in religious tolerance research over the past 14 years (2010-2024), peaking in 2023 with 65 articles. Electronic journals (e-journals) are the largest source of such research, with 150 publications. Four productive researchers from Jambi University produced two publications: Arizal Dwi Kurniawan, Nur Aini, Marlina Susanti, and Anisa Andrian. The study identifies several potential future research areas in student religious tolerance, including religion, mutual respect, analysis, tolerance, character education, data, institutions, teachers, Islamic religion, literature review, Islamic education, school, challenges, literacy, strategy, teacher, multicultural Islamic education, student ability, integration, multicultural education, society, tolerance, literature study, child, and concept.

Scientific production on robotic metabolic and bariatric surgery: a comprehensive bibliometric analysis on its current world status.

Robotic metabolic and bariatric surgery (RMBS) has emerged as an innovative approach in the treatment of severe obesity by combining the ergonomic precision of robotic technology and instrumentation with the established benefits of weight loss surgery. This study employs a bibliometric approach to identify local research trends and worldwide patterns in RMBS. The research methodology used "robotic" and "metabolic" or "bariatric surgery" to search Web of Science. Articles that were published prior to December 31st, 2023, were included. The analyses were developed using the Rayyan and Bibliometric, in R Studio. 265 articles from 51 different journals were included. Scientific production of RMBS experienced a significant annual growth rate of 21.96% from 2003 to 2023, resulting in an average of 12.6 papers published per year. A high correlation (R2 = 0.94) was found between the year and number of articles. The mean number of citations per document was 13.25. Approximately 90% of the journals were classified as zone 3, according to the Bradford categorization. International collaboration was identified in 10.57% of cases, with the University of California and the University of Illinois being the most common organizations. The countries with the highest number of corresponding authors, in descending order, were the United States of America, China, and Switzerland. Scientific production in RMBS has experienced sustained growth since the first original publications in 2003. While it has not yet reached the volume, impact, and international collaboration seen in studies related to non-robotic metabolic and bariatric surgery, RBMS holds potential that remains to be explored.
