Determinants in Used Car Purchase Results

The automotive industry in Indonesia continues to experience rapid growth amidst intense competition among companies to create flagship products. This development is spurred by various factors, including lifestyle changes and the increased social status of the population. This research investigates the factors influencing the decision to purchase used cars in Jakarta, particularly among individuals aged 18-40. The automotive industry in Indonesia is undergoing rapid growth driven by lifestyle developments, increased community mobility, and enhanced social status. The purchase of used cars has become an intriguing phenomenon in the dynamics of the automotive industry, with consumers influenced by economic considerations, diversity in model and brand choices, and individual preferences. The respondents in this study are individuals aged 18-40 who are interested in purchasing used cars in Jakarta. A survey method is employed to collect data, with questionnaires distributed to randomly selected respondents. Data analysis is conducted to identify the key factors influencing the decision to purchase used cars. Purchasing used cars is an interesting phenomenon observed in the dynamics of the automotive industry. Consumers in this purchasing process are influenced by several factors, including economic considerations such as affordable prices and lower depreciation values compared to new cars. Additionally, the diversity of model and brand choices is also an important consideration for consumers when choosing used cars. The findings of this research are expected to provide deeper insights into the preferences and needs of consumers when buying used cars in Jakarta. These findings can serve as a guide for used car manufacturers and the automotive industry as a whole in designing more effective

Quality And Productivity Analysis Of The Putty Dispenser In The Armature Balancing Process

An electric motor is a device that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. One of its important components is the armature which functions as the center of movement. Armature is paired with another component of electric motor. In order to achieve a good quality of electric motor, armature quality must be controlled through a standard experiment called balancing test. An adhesive material called putty will be added into armature if the balancing test result is not up to standard. This study conducted in one of automotive industry in Indonesia. The company face a problem in balancing test process. Putty addition carried by factory workers only based on their estimation, resulting in the mass of putty used not in accordance with predetermined standards and also inconsistent, so that the balancing process takes a long time. This research offer a solution for the problem, i.e. putty dispenser to replace the manual putty-picking process with a standardized semi-automatic one. The research objective is to analyze the quality and productivity of the putty dispenser tool design in the armature balancing process. Through 100 armature samples consist of type A and type B, this study examines the quality of the putty mass provided using the most frequently occurring value and uses the independent T-test method to examine the hypothesis that there is a real difference in cycle time before and after the putty dispenser tool. Frame strength testing was also carried out using Solidworks software simulation with 632 N loading. The results of the research on the putty dispenser tool are that the frame used is proven safe, a decrease in cycle time with a percentage of 34.16%, an increase in productivity of 34.13%, also improved quality through the aspects of %NG reduction of 42.29%, and a standardized and constant putty mass of 100 mg for armature type A and 200 mg for armature type B.

The automotive industry in Indonesia is growing rapidly with electric car sales increasing significantly by 2022. Hyundai is one of the largest electric car manufacturers in Indonesia, supported by the IK-CEPA (Indonesia-Korea Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement), a bilateral free trade agreement between Indonesia and South Korea in various fields such as trade in goods, services and other economic cooperation. The Indonesian government is also active in supporting the development of the electric vehicle industry through fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, as well as cooperation with Hyundai Motor Group in training electric vehicle technicians. Sales of electric cars in several brands and types such as Hyundai Kona EV, Hyundai Ioniq EV, and Lexus UX300e have increased from 2020 to October 2023, showing public interest in electric cars. Hyundai Ioniq 5 became the best-selling electric car in Indonesia in 2022, while the newly released Wuling Air EV in August 2022 also received attention for its affordable price and unique design. Indonesia has the largest nickel reserves in the world, so it has a great ability to make electric vehicle batteries. This will drive the development of the electric car industry in the country, with strong government support and increasing sales, the automotive industry, especially electric cars, will have a bright prospect to continue growing in the future.

PENGARUH KOMITMEN PERUSAHAAN, KUALITAS PRODUK, DAN KUALITAS PELAYANAN TERHADAP LOYALITAS KONSUMEN

The development of the automotive industry in Indonesia has become an integral part of the country's economic growth. Along with population growth and increasing people's purchasing power, demand for motorized vehicles has soared, making Indonesia one of the largest automotive markets in Southeast Asia. However, in the midst of this rapid growth, Indonesia is also faced with increasingly fierce competition. This happened to the largest manufacturer in Indonesia, namely Toyota Auto 2000, where there was a decline in sales in the period 2017 to 2023. This research aims to investigate whether company commitment, product quality and service quality have an impact on the sales performance of Toyota Auto 2000, which in the end can create and maintain customer loyalty. The research method applied is a quantitative approach with an explanatory research type, which aims to explore the relationship and impact of the variables studied. The research population consisted of Toyota Auto 2000 consumers in the Bekasi area, with a sample determined based on a formula for a minimum sample size of 10 times the number of indicators used, resulting in a sample of 100 respondents. Data was collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale as a measurement tool, and data analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The research results show that company commitment and product quality have a significant positive impact on consumer loyalty, while service quality does not have a significant impact on consumer loyalty, which provides important insights regarding aspects that need to be improved in order to overcome declining sales and increase customer loyalty. at Toyota Auto 2000. Assessing The Financial Feasibility Study of QRS Company New Branch

The automotive industry in Indonesia, especially motorcycles, grows every year. This creates a bright future for Indonesia's motorcycle sector in particular. Established in 2000, QRS Company is a business engaged in the motorcycle spare parts industry in Tasikmalaya. After seeing the rapid growth of motorcycle users in Indonesia and the significant increase of their revenue, QRS Company wants to expand their business by creating a new branch. Feasibility study is a study that is conducted to assess whether the project is profitable or not. This research begins by conducting projections from financial statements to estimate the QRS Company financial condition in the future. This research was made using capital budgeting analysis. This study aims to assess the financial feasibility and also the risk in capital budgeting by using sensitivity analysis and simulation analysis. Expansion project carried out by QRS Company can be categorized as feasible. The calculation shows that the NPV of the project is positive valued. The payback period of the QRS Company expansion project is faster than the maximum return period of 5 years. The IRR is smaller than the WACC. In addition, the risk analysis shows that the expansion project of QRS Company has a low risk.

Effect of Net Profit, Debt & Operating Cash Flow on Dividend Policy in Automotive Companies Listed on the Idx During the Covid-19 Pandemi Era (2020-2021)

Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of net profit, bank debt and cash flow whether it has a significant effect on dividend payments in automotive companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the Covid 19 pandemic era (2020-2021). As we know, the automotive industry has received several tax conveniences during the Covid 19 pandemic. 
 Methodology: The data used in this study uses secondary data published on the website http://www.idx.co.id. This study uses quantitative analysis methods, namely with statistics such as regression analysis and classical assumption tests.
 Implication: The results of the study show that net income, debt and cash flow have an effect on dividend payout, we expect that this result should be used in the development of automotive industry in Indonesia.

Rancangan Kriteria Sustainability untuk Evaluasi Strategic Supplier di Industri Otomotif X dengan Metode QFD

The strategic supplier evaluation process is a decision-making problem that has many criteria and objectives related to both qualitative and quantitative factors. In the strategic supplier evaluation process, the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method can translate issues of critical stakeholder needs, starting from conceptual needs into several strategic supplier evaluation criteria that can be used as a reference. One of the most important pieces of information is that by using the QFD method, the weight of the evaluation criteria is derived from the ranking of the importance of stakeholder needs together with the weight of the relationship between stakeholder requirements and evaluation criteria. According to the results of the literature study, most previous studies used economic criteria with a single stakeholder. This research will use sustainability criteria with multi-stakeholders. This research will design the selection of sustainability criteria for evaluating strategic suppliers for the PT X automotive industry in Indonesia using the QFD method. The results of the second House of Quality (HOQ) from QFD, are twenty sustainability criteria for evaluating strategic suppliers for the automotive industry.

Computer Vision Implementation in Scratch Inspection and Color Detection on The Car Roof Surface

The automotive industry in Indonesia is one of the important pillars in the manufacturing sector. High speed productivity and high-level quality of their products are required for increasing the company value. The car roof inspection is still in low speed and inadequate quality control method for most of the car company’s manufacturing production line. This inspection process is highly dependent to human expertise and skill of the assembly operators. This study purposes to increase the productivity in the inspection line by eliminate human error using computer vision. This research aims to find an automatic and accurate method for visual inspection of the color quality and scratch defect on car roof surfaces, using the data generated from the standardized database QR Code. The proposed solution uses MobileNet-SSD method of computer vision in recognizing scratch defects, while color detection of the roof is attained through hue saturation method. The study employs data capture from a camera and compares the amount of object inspected in real time. The scratch inspection with 70 image samples and 4000 training steps results in a 3.33% error with color detection and inspection success rate of 80%.

Identification of Critical Factors in Product Change in The Automotive Industry

Electric vehicles are a future transportation option that has the advantages of reducing air pollution and being environmentally friendly. Battery-based electric vehicles are still relatively new in Indonesia and have not received public attention like conventional oil-fueled vehicles. Electric vehicles such as electric cars have been socialized, but there are still many assumptions that electric cars are still not roadworthy because they are still in the development process. Presidential regulation number 55 of 2019 is expected to be the legal basis for boosting the development of electric vehicles in Indonesia. This study address to explore and identify the main impact factors of product change on the automotive industry in Indonesia. To identify this case, the model was built based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) which was expanded in the context of the adoption of electric vehicles. This study aims to identify what factors can affect product changes in the automotive industry. This model is formed by main constructs: individual behavior, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control, as well as three other factors identified from the literature review and interviews. Based on this research, it was found that three factors can have an impact on product changes in the automotive industry. These three factors are subjective norms, perceived risk, and logistical incentives. Apart from these three factors, other supporting factors are also expected to be able to develop the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia.

VUCA PRIME IMPACT ON PERFORMANCE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY IN INDONESIA

This study aims to identify and analyze the potential challenges of VUCA to the development of the automotive industry in Indonesia and their impact on company performance. The method used in this research is descriptive and verification research methods. The research sample was 255 respondents based on manager-level positions and above using purposive sampling method.In research VUCA will use VUCA Prime (VUCAP). The results showed that partially VUCAP had a positive and significant effect on agile leadership and company performance. VUCAP had a positive and significant effect on Strategic business. VUCAP had a positive and significant effect Organizational change. VUCAP has a positive and significant effect on the performance of automotive industry companies in Indonesia. Agile leadership is intervening the influence between VUCAP and company performance. Organizational change is intervening between VUCAP and company performance. Strategic business is intervening between VUCAP and company performance in automotive industry companies in Indonesia.

Identify the Determinant Factors Affecting Cash-Holding of the Automotive Industry in Indonesia

Managers need to determine the company's optimal cash holding. However, it is also important to understand the factors that influence the company's cash holding. The study uses a panel data regression analysis tool, with a sample of 12 companies selected by purposive sampling during the 2015-2020 period. The selected regression model is the fixed effect model. The results of the investigation show that the profitability and liquidity factors have a significant effect on cash holding. Profitability has a negative effect, and liquidity has a positive effect.

Success Factors of Electric Vehicle Commercialization: A Literature Review

The sales growth of motorcycles in Indonesia is increasing. It has reached 120 million units in 2022. It shows that the automotive industry in Indonesia has very high economic potential. However, the increasing number of vehicles can cause new problems related to the environment. Most motorized vehicles in Indonesia use non-renewable energy, such as fossil fuels. Since fossil fuels have a negative impact on the environment, electric-powered vehicles are introduced. Local Indonesian manufacturers have had electric motorbikes since 2018. However, the number of sales of electric motorbikes in Indonesia is still far from the target set by the Government. One obstacle in achieving electric motorcycles' sales target is readiness for product commercialization. Multiple factors influence the success of product commercialization. Indonesia's ability to manufacture and sell products of interest to the public plays an essential role in the success of the commercialization of electric motorbikes. The right commercialization strategy can encourage local electric motorcycle manufacturers to compete with non-local producers. Therefore, this study aims to explore future research opportunities related to success factors and obstacles to the commercialization of electric motorcycles. The survey results show that fuel cells, batteries, energy storage systems, charging infrastructure, durability, cost, and innovation are often discussed in previous studies related to commercialization.

Damage experienced in the car is handled by experts or expert technicians. Diagnosis of damage is carried out by a technician based on signs of initial damage to the car. This encourages experts to develop new computer systems to support human work. The development of computers today has undergone many very rapid changes, along with the increasing and complex human needs. then we need a method or system that can diagnose damage to the car. One of them is by utilizing artificial intelligence technology. One sub-field of artificial intelligence is an expert system. By utilizing expert system technology can be produced a system to diagnose car engine damage. This expert system discusses the diagnosis of web-based Toyota Innova damage using the forward chaining method. With the aim of helping the community to diagnose the damage to the Toyota Innova car engine.

 ABSTRACT
 The development of the automotive industry in Indonesia is very fast and tends to increase every year, in line with the needs and demands of the community for adequate transportation facilities. It is proven by the increasingly crowded city streets and the increasingly congested traffic by motorized vehicles. And followed by the birth and growth of new companies that always try their best to gain and maintain the existing market share.
 This study aims to determine 1) To find out whether product quality has an effect on purchasing decisions. 2) To find out whether there is an effect on price on purchasing decisions. 3) To find out whether product quality and price affect purchasing decisions. This study uses a quantitative approach. The survey method was chosen as the primary data source. The survey method focuses on collecting data from respondents who have certain information, thus enabling researchers to solve problems. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire or questionnaire instrument. In this study, the population was consumers at the Honda Motor Palace dealer. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling with a total sample of 93 people. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire with a Likert scale.
 The results showed that: 1) there was a positive effect of product quality on purchasing decisions. 2) there is a positive effect of price on purchasing decisions. 3) there is a positive influence of product quality and price together on purchasing decisions.

Capability Factor Identification and Influence Assesment on Supply Chain Resilience in Indonesian Automotive Industry

The Automotive Industry is one of the business lines affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. The pandemic causes instability in the Indonesian economy from demand and sales. The supply chain is a long process consisting of parties involved directly or indirectly in fulfilling customer needs: suppliers, manufacturers, shipping, warehouses, checking, and the customers themselves. In an increasingly dynamic and volatile global environment, various events threaten to disrupt supply chain operational activities. For example, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused supply chain management to be very vulnerable due to closing access and lockdown policy. Therefore, the designed supply chain system must withstand disruptions and recover quickly at a minimal cost. Supply Chain Resilience (SCR) is the ability of the supply chain to survive, adapt, and overcome operational disruptions that can damage the supply chain system so that the supply chain can quickly recover from disruptions and reconstruct the supply chain to be stronger than before. SCR has attributes that enable companies to anticipate and overcome disruptions. The Automotive Industry in Indonesia needs to identify what capabilities have been or will be used to anticipate supply chain disruptions which are then quantified to find out which capabilities have the most effect on increasing supply chain resilience. The method used in this study is DEMATEL (Decision Making Trial And Evaluation Laboratory) - ANP (Analytic Network Process) based, which can visualize causal relationships between factors through a cause-and-effect diagram and show the extent to which these factors influence each other.

Partnership Analysis of Two Wheel and Four or More Automotive Industry MSMEs in Indonesia

The objectives of this study are: (1) to analyze the development and contribution of micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) partnerships in the Automotive Industry sector in Indonesia; (2) analyze the pattern and principle of partnership of MSMEs in the Automotive Industry in Indonesia; (3) analyzing the support of the central and local governments for the automotive industry partnership in Indonesia; (4) explore the placement of MSMEs in the National Industrial Estate and (5) develop a strategy for developing and expanding the partnership of MSMEs in the automotive industry in Indonesia. The methodology used is descriptive exploratory and SWOT analysis. The results of the study: (1) inductive statistics give the results that there are 1,474 Number of 2-wheel and 4-wheeled 2-wheeled automotive MSMEs with 2 wheels as many as 659 and 815 4 wheels in Indonesia, West Java by 66%, Banten by 14%, East Java 9%, DKI Jakarta 5%, Central Java 4%, and Riau Islands 1% and other provinces below 1%; (2) partnership patterns and principles in the form of agreements/contracts/supply chains of automotive partnership cooperation between MSMEs and large automotive companies; (3) government support regulations to form a special village center for MSMEs, Link & Match partnerships, People's Business Credit Programs, provide direct cash funds to MSMEs during the COVID-19 epidemic; (4) MSMEs have not yet been placed in Industrial Areas mandated by Law Number 40 of 2007 and Government Regulation Number 142 of 2015 and (5) the position and strategy of MSMEs is an aggressive maintenance strategy and a selective maintenance strategy.

Current Readiness Status of Electric Vehicles in Indonesia: Multistakeholder Perceptions

As a net oil importer since 2004, Indonesia’s success in developing fuel economy and infrastructure for electric vehicles would be vital to ensuring energy security and decarbonization from the transport sector. Following the Presidential Regulation on the Acceleration Program for battery-based EV for Road Transportation in 2019, the Indonesian government provides incentives for the domestic production of EVs. However, as EV technology is relatively new for the domestic automotive industry in Indonesia, it needs to go through stages of development to achieve full readiness in society. This study analyses the key stakeholders’ perceptions of EV industries using the Japanese technology readiness assessment (J-TRA) to better understand the current readiness level of EVs in Indonesia. Primary data are collected through interviews with an EV start-up company, experts in the EV field, government officials in charge of the national EV projects, and EV end-users. Extensive literature related to success stories of EV adoption in other countries was conducted as the basis for this study. The results showed that key stakeholders agree that EV technology has reached a high readiness level in technology development. Most of the stakeholders voted that the readiness bottleneck is commercialization, safety, and integration parameters. Furthermore, an elaborate policy recommendation gathered from both literature reviews and interviews with related stakeholders is presented.

Model Kualitas Layanan Produk Sepeda Motor Pada Industri Otomotif di Indonesia

The purpose of this study is to obtain the concept of a service quality model for motorcycle products in the automotive industry in Indonesia. Furthermore, the concept that will be formed expected to enrich the insights of interested parties in service management and opportunities for improving the implementation of service quality, especially for motorcycle product manufacturers in the automotive industry in Indonesia, which can then be used as a tool to compete. fellow manufacturers of motorcycle products in Indonesia. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach, with the method of collecting data through in-depth interviews. After the interview, transcription was carried out and continued with the data analysis. From the analysis of the data, the research found several themes of service quality dimensions, consist of: (a). Technical quality namely technology, (b). Functional quality, namely safety, security, comfort and convenience. The main functional quality from the user's perspective is security. Based on the results of the study, these dimensions are the focus of services that must be provided by motorcycle manufacturers, as a tool to compete with other motorcycle manufacturers.

Peramalan Pelayanan Service Mobil (After-Sale) Menggunakan Backpropagation Neural Network (BPNN)

The automotive industry in Indonesia, primarily cars, is getting more and more varied. Along with increasing the number of vehicles, Brand Holder Sole Agents (ATPM) compete to provide after-sale services (mobile service). However, the company has difficulty knowing the rate of growth in the number of mobile services handled, thus causing losses that impact sources of income. Therefore, we need a standard method in determining the forecasting of the number of car services in the following year. This study implements the Backpropagation Neural Network (BPNN) method in forecasting car service services (after-sale) and Mean Square Error (MSE) for the process of testing the accuracy of the forecasting results formed. The data used in this study is car service data (after-sale) for the last five years. The results show that the best architecture for forecasting after-sales services using BPNN is the 5-10-5-1 architectural model with a learning rate of 0.2 and the learning function of trainlm and MSE of 0.00045581. This proves that the BPNN method can predict mobile service (after-sale) services with good forecasting accuracy values.
