Research on the Development of New Energy Automobile Industry Cluster in Anhui Province from SWOT Perspective

The development of new energy vehicle industry cluster has become an inevitable trend of the development of China's new energy vehicle industry. Anhui province should seize the historical opportunity of the great development of new energy vehicle industry and promote the development of Anhui new energy vehicle industry cluster.On the basis of the development status of new energy automobile industry in Anhui province, through SWOT analysis, the development of new energy automobile industry cluster, the research found that in Anhui province, policy, market and talent advantages, there are certain opportunities in new energy vehicle demand and oil prices, but in technology, infrastructure and regulatory disadvantages, and competition threats from external new energy automobile enterprises.Then, the SO strategy analysis, WO strategy analysis, W O strategy analysis and WT strategy analysis were analyzed with the SWOT matrix.In addition, suggestions are put forward on how to overcome the competitive threat from internationally famous new energy vehicle enterprises and reduce the disadvantages in technology, infrastructure and supervision in the development of Anhui New energy vehicle industry cluster, in order to provide reference and thinking for the development of Anhui new energy vehicle industry cluster.

Exploration and Practice on the Cultivation of Postgraduates Majoring in Electronic Information in Chongqing Under the Background of <i>Made in China 2025</i>

In 2015, the State Council issued <i>Made in China 2025</i>. The cultivation of professional postgraduates under the background of <i>Made in China 2025</i> has become a hot spot. At the same time, <i>Made in China 2025</i> also puts forward new requirements for talent cultivation in Chinese universities. Chongqing has the largest electronic information industry cluster in the world and the largest automobile industry cluster in China. Electronic information is the largest pillar industry in the city. At present, there are few colleges and universities in Chongqing to train electronic information professionals (Masters), which is very mismatched with the rapid industrial development in Chongqing. As a result, the current situation of the existing training system of master's training in electronic information in Chongqing can not meet the talent demand of the electronic information industry in Chongqing. This paper carries out the exploration and practical research on the postgraduate training system from the aspects of the setting of the interdisciplinary curriculum system, the reform of the training mode guided by the industrial demand, the perfect cross-training process, the construction of the curriculum system with Chongqing and industry characteristics under the needs of the new economy, and the construction of innovative practical projects that meet the new requirements and highlight the leading role of enterprises. Combined with the positioning of "local, open and applied", this paper meets the needs of local social and economic development for advanced applied talents of electronic information, constructs the curriculum system of graduate students majoring in electronic information, and creatively explores new countermeasures for the cultivation of graduate students majoring in electronic information under the new situation, to improve the traditional cultivation mode of professional master students in Colleges and universities, Apply the connotation of new engineering to the reform of training mode, effectively improve the training quality of master's degree students majoring in electronic information, and provide a strong guarantee for the training of senior technical talents facing the electronic information industry (especially the electronic information industry in Chongqing).

Does Entrepreneurship Contribute to Innovation Performance When Considering Spatial Spillover Effects? Evidence From the Automobile Industrial Cluster in China

Entrepreneurship, as one of the important factors to promote industrial innovation, is closely related to the development of the regional economy. Based on the methods of Kernel density and standard deviation ellipse, this article presents the spatio-temporal patterns of entrepreneurship and innovation performance. The article also examines the spatial spillover mechanism of entrepreneurship on innovation performance by establishing spatial Durbin models. The heterogeneous results of the spatial regression models in six clusters are also discussed. The final results show that the spatio-temporal patterns of entrepreneurship are gradually presenting three major hot spots and two secondary hot spots while the spatio-temporal patterns of innovation performance are presenting four major hot spots and a secondary hot spot; the spatial distribution of both entrepreneurship and innovation performance are changing regularly; the spillover effects of entrepreneurship and innovation performance are both significant; the spatial spillover mechanisms in six automobile industrial clusters are different. The results can provide empirical support for decision-making in the automobile industry in China in the future.

Prediction of Global Value Chain Based on Cognitive Neural Network -Take Chinese Automobile Industry as an Example.

Cognitive artificial neural network is a hot research field which is an important part of human intelligence research. In recent years, artificial neural network has been used in the fields of neuroscience, computer science, cognitive science, mathematics and physics. With the Chinese automobile industry as the research object, the global value chain as the research tool, and the promotion of Chinese automobile industry cluster as the research objective, This paper deals with information processing by simulating neural activity in the brain according to the cognitive artificial neural network to study the upgrading of Chinese automobile industry cluster, and puts forward the related suggestion on the upgrading of Chinese automobile industry cluster. This study believes that in order to promote the upgrading of Chinese automobile industry cluster, it’s essential to promote the independent innovation of enterprises in the cluster and indispensable to strengthen government support, which has certain guiding significance to the development of Chinese automobile industry cluster.

How Can a Firm Innovate When Embedded in a Cluster?—Evidence from the Automobile Industrial Cluster in China

In the era of the knowledge economy, knowledge management is increasingly important. Knowledge management ability is one of the core factors influencing enterprise competitiveness, affecting innovation performance and sustainable development. To test the impact mechanism of the knowledge management of enterprises on innovation performance, a multilevel structural equation model was established using data from the automobile industry in China, with “knowledge management” (KM) as the independent variable, the three dimensions of absorptive capacity as the mediating variables, and “innovation performance” (IP) as the dependent variable at the firm level. At the cluster level, the innovation milieu of the cluster was introduced into the model. The results show that the three dimensions of absorptive capacity all significantly mediate the relationship between knowledge management and innovation performance. The innovation milieu of the cluster had a direct cross-level effect on the innovation performance of enterprises and a positive cross-level moderated effect on the relationship between explorative learning and innovation performance. These results support the promotion of enterprise innovation ability and the creation of an innovation milieu in the automobile industry in China.

Impacts of industry clusters with innovation on the regional economy in Japanese depopulating society after the Great East Japan Earthquake

In this paper, we will take the concepts of Porter’s (On competition. Harvard Business School Press, Cambridge, 1998, Econ Dev Q 14(1):15–34, 2000) clusters and present an analysis of the feasibility of economic development in Japanese disaster regions under rapid population decline, utilizing two new industry clusters with innovation. The two clusters used are the automobile industry cluster, which targets the entire disaster region and whereby innovation comes from coagglomeration with different industries in mega-regions, and the food industry cluster, which target individual disaster-struck prefectures, focusing on their leveraging of local resources. This paper applies the dynamic two-regional computable general equilibrium model. We construct scenarios for each of these two clusters, and evaluate each new industry cluster model’s economic effects on disaster regions. A simulation analysis for scenarios of these two new clusters with positive and higher productivity in the coagglomerated industries reveals the following two effects: (1) that economies of agglomeration attained from vertical and horizontal coagglomeration have the effect of boosting real GRP and productivity on the macro level when the two new industry clusters are formed jointly rather than individually, and (2) that they contribute to long-term sustained growth in disaster region economies, reducing the gap between their growth and that of other regional economies. This can be interpreted to mean that the usual policies adopted, such as subsidies and corporate tax cut policies, are unable to counteract economic stagnation that comes as a result of a sharp decline for population numbers in disaster regions; it offers a conclusion that the agglomeration externalities seen from improved productivity in the formation of the new food/automobile industry clusters can offer sustained economic development in disaster regions.

Process window calculation and pressure locus optimization in hydroforming of conical box with double concave cavities

With the enhancement in the functional integration of components and concentration on lightweight materials, complex sheet metal parts are widely used in automobile and aviation industrial clusters. Consequently, the sheet hydroforming process has become an attractive fabricating technology for forming lightweight materials and complicated products. In this research, the hydrodynamic deep drawing (HDD) process of a composite conical box with double concave cavities was investigated through theoretical analysis, numerical simulation, and process experimentation. Furthermore, the process window diagram (PWD) was calculated using the stress analytical model combining material properties with workpiece geometrical features. The influence of cavity pressure loading locus on the forming quality of the fabricated part and the deformation behavior of aluminum alloy was explored. The forming results indicated that the initial pressure, full pressure, and loading locus are the fundamental parameters directly related to the forming quality and dimensional accuracy. For the conical part with composite features, the reasonable initial pressure value is crucial for the thickness homogeneity of the double concave characteristics, whereas the magnitude of the full pressure is vital for improving the quality of the conical feature. In addition, the optimal loading locus of the cavity pressure is characterized by two turning points, which are related to the punch corner radius, die shoulder radius, blank thickness, and angle of the conical feature.

A research on the cluster competitiveness evaluation of the Chinese automobile industry based on cuckoo-AHP

Purpose The purpose of this study is that on the basis of the competitive edge theory, source mechanism and evaluation approaches of industrial cluster competitiveness, combined with international trends in the automobile industry and the features of Chinese automobile industrial cluster development, an evaluation index system about cluster competitiveness of auto industry is built with comprehensive consideration of factors such as cluster development environment, external scale effect and internal competitiveness from the perspective of value chain of automobile industry. Design/methodology/approach An evaluation index system for automobile industrial cluster competitiveness was realized by integrating current strengths and future growth capacities with multidimensional, dynamic and comprehensive characteristics, which included 3 second-level, 10 third-level and 16 fourth-level indices. In the light of evaluation methods, a group intelligence optimization algorithm – (cuckoo search) – and traditional methods of complex decision-making system – analytic hierarchy process (AHP) – were combined to propose the cuckoo-AHP evaluation method. It was applied for the calculation and optimization of weight values in an automobile industrial cluster competitiveness evaluation index for the purpose of obtaining better scientific and more reliable results. Findings The research might further enrich the evaluation theory of automobile industrial cluster competitiveness and also can be useful for showing how traditional evaluation methods can be combined with intelligent algorithms to carry out better automobile industrial cluster competitiveness evaluations. In addition, studies of channels for kick-starting Chinese auto industrial cluster competitiveness are expected to provide references for how to enhance the cluster competitiveness of the Chinese automobile industry. Practical implications Changsha and Liuzhou, the Guangxi automobile industrial clusters as the two empirical analysis objects selected for this paper, are geographically adjacent to each other. The automobile industries of the two cities are local pillar industries with the strong support of the local government. Both clusters have their own advantages and weak points with different characteristics of cluster development, and they enjoy a representative significance amongst China’s numerous auto industrial clusters that are taking shape. Comparative analysis of both clusters serves as a good reference for the objective evaluation of the competitiveness of Chinese automobile clusters in terms of their real and practical developments and in respect of the success of reasonable scientific and industrial cluster policies. Originality/value Multidimensional, dynamic, integrated evaluation index systems are constructed around automobile industrial cluster competitiveness, which has taken into account developments in current strengths and future growth capacity. The cuckoo-AHP evaluation method has been formed by combining the traditional decision-making method known as AHP with a new meta-heuristic optimization algorithm called “cuckoo search”. Both have been used in evaluations of automobile industrial cluster competitiveness in Liuzhou and Changsha, which will be beneficial for enriching automobile industrial cluster competitiveness evaluation theory and new evaluation methods that will enable better evaluations of automobile industrial cluster competitiveness.

According to the automobile industry cluster situation at present, the paper introduces the method and train of thought of automobile industry cluster based on GIS from demand analysis, data base design, function design and so on. Also demonstration analysis in one automobile industry cluster. In construction, use client layer, web layer, business logic layer and data layer to design the system architecture. It improved the system maintenance performance, used Oracle and ArcSDE to access space data and attribute data, and mass data storage management. Research results maybe give some significance reference for design and implementation of automobile industry cluster.

Theorising the Failure of Technological Innovation Diffusion in the Nigerian Automobile Industry: The Case of Ford Motors Nigeria

This study examines the impact of knowledge transfer in the Nigerian automobile industry. Attempts at technological transfer in the Nigeria automobile industry date back to 1962; between 1962 till date (2012), automobile technological diffusion was by direct transfer of technological knowledge through the establishments of assembly plants (including Volkswagen of Nigeria (VWON), Peugeot Automobile of Nigeria (PAN), STEYR Nigeria, Anambra motor company (ANAMCO) and Leyland Nigeria). These attempts failed as all the assembly plants are now (as at 2012) closed down. This study relying on the qualitative research methodology and employing narrative/discuss analyses, recommends diffusion of technology through the establishments of automobile industrial clusters, which was the route Malaysia and South Africa (both developing economies like Nigeria) employed towards economic and industrial successes. The industrial cluster development will increase the engineering technological and innovation capability within the Nigerian automobile industry and make Nigeria to be competitive in the global automobile market.

Simulation Research in Mutualism Behavior of Automobile Industry Cluster

This paper adopts the concept and mechanism of mathematical ecology theory, researches the revolutionary of automobile industry chain by setting up mutualism model of two species. Results of simulation show that automakers are more sensitive to the change of environmental resource. Automakers depending on suppliers excessively will increase the structural risk of the industry. Exporting the German Model: The Establishment of a New Automobile Industry Cluster in Shanghai

Recent work has provided evidence that the establishment of new industry clusters cannot be jump-started through policy initiatives alone. This evidence does not imply, however, that the genesis of a new cluster cannot be planned at all. Especially in the context of a developing economy, it seems useful to reinvestigate the relation among economic development, the strategies of multinational firms, and state intervention in this respect. Drawing from the case of the automobile industry and its supplier system in Shanghai in which German firms play an important role, we provide empirical evidence of the evolution of a new cluster that is supported by the state in various forms and characterized by a focal, hierarchically structured production system. We use a multidimensional approach to clusters, which leads to a more nuanced understanding of the evolution and growth of a cluster than that provided by earlier accounts. This approach allows us to distinguish the development of the Shanghai automobile industry cluster along its vertical, horizontal, external, institutional, and power dimensions. We provide evidence that another dimension—“culture”—plays an important role, especially in its relation to issues of power and institutions. The role of this dimension is demonstrated in the case of German firms, which tap into the Chinese innovation system. This system is characterized by particular business relations, institutions, norms, and various social practices that are new to German firms. We demonstrate how this difference creates problems in establishing local production and supplier relations and how these problems can be overcome.
