The documentary "Alumni 10 Years Later" is a broadcast that covers the lives of various students who attended a multicultural alternative school as elementary school students over a period of 10 years. This study analyzes the identity perception of members of Korean society through the case of the growth process of the alumni who appear in the documentary. This study suggests a change in the direction of multicultural education through a case study of the identity perceptions of members of multicultural societies in documentaries. Multicultural education should be transformed into civic education as a member of the social community. In addition, multicultural education should be transformed into practical education to adapt to a multicultural society. It suggests that education should cultivate the competencies necessary for members of a multicultural society, such as the ability to form equal relationships between people with different backgrounds and characteristics, an attitude of empathy for minorities, and a sense of responsibility to make healthy contributions to the community.
