The donor organ shortage is still a "bottleneck" problem in the field of liver transplantation, and has been limiting the development of liver transplantation. In order to effectively expand the source of donor organs, transplant experts have also been thinking about technological innovation to solve this outstanding problem. Split liver transplantation is an effective strategy to solve the difficult problem, and it is a highly focused and applied technology in the transplantation field in recent years. However, the perioperative complication rate of split liver transplantation is still high. In order to further improve the perioperative management of split liver transplantation, the Enhanced Recovery after Surgery Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association organized experts from multiple disciplines and formulated the consensus to improve the perioperative management of split liver transplantation and further demonstrated and formulated this consensus according to the principles of evidence-based medicine. This consensus provides recommendations from three aspects: preoperative evaluation, intraoperative operation, and postoperative management, in order to provide reference for centers that are conducting or planning to conduct split liver transplantation.
