Research on the Principles of Translation and Dubbing of Translated Films under the Threshold of Intercultural Perspective

Amidst the deepening tide of globalization, cultural exchange emerges as a pivotal conduit knitting together disparate nations and peoples. The art of dubbing, serving as a significant modality of cultural dissemination, finds its role in intercultural communication increasingly conspicuous. Dubbing transcends mere linguistic conversion; it engenders the transmission and reshaping of cultures, constituting a process of cultural creation in its own right. Consequently, the exploration of intercultural principles in dubbing assumes paramount significance in fostering global cultural exchange. Against the backdrop of globalization, the dubbing of films faces unprecedented challenges and opportunities. On the other hand, with technological advancements and the application of innovative strategies, the methods and means of dubbing are in constant evolution, offering myriad possibilities for cross-cultural dissemination.

A Study of Innovation Factors Affecting Organisational Performance

This study aimed to develop a multi-linear regression model to explore the impact of innovation factors on the organizational performance of ADNOC. It employed a quantitative research approach in collecting and analysing the numerical data statistically. Correlation results found that there are significant positive relationships between all constructs, indicating that as one variable increases, the other tends to increase as well in the interconnections among marketing, management, process, organization structure, and organizational performance within the studied context. While, for the multi-linear regression model, it was found that the correlation coefficient of 0.503 between the predictors and the dependent variable, indicating a strong relationship. Furthermore, with the coefficient of determination, it suggests that 50.3% of the selected independent variables collectively explain the variance in the dependent variable. This equation model can be directly applied to ADNOC's organizational performance by inputting the values of the innovation factors/variables into the equation. The established equation holds potential benefits for organizations aiming to enhance performance through the application of innovative strategies.

The article monitors and analyzes the main strategies for the development of hotel and restaurant enterprises and, accordingly, increase their efficiency and competitiveness; the process of organization and economic planning of hotel and restaurant enterprises has been improved. It is investigated that the enterprises of hotel and restaurant industry of Ukraine partially provide the necessary quality indicators for the provided services, and this is the reason for the insufficient level of competitiveness of services in the domestic market and in European countries. An urgent problem of planning and organizing the activities of hotel and restaurant enterprises is the use of innovative strategies and areas of long-term development to increase the level of competitiveness and quality of services provided. This will intensify innovation processes in Ukraine in the field of services. Innovative strategies and promising areas of development of hotel and restaurant enterprises are extremely important in the management of hotel and restaurant complexes. Innovative strategies in the hotel and restaurant industry are cost-effective and feasible provided a high level of profitability, improving the service process, expanding the range of services, reducing costs, increasing competitiveness, improve and optimize the work of all hotel or restaurant services. The application of innovative strategies in the process of hotel and restaurant enterprises allows them to compete in the field of service. In conditions of fierce competition and rapidly changing market conditions, it is very important not only to focus on the internal state of affairs of the enterprise, but also to develop a long-term strategy. Economic activity requires constant innovation. All services offered by hotel and restaurant enterprises must be introduced in modern innovative ways. This is the basis for successful business, maintaining a consistently high level of competitiveness and improving the quality of service. The selection of the optimal innovation strategy for a hotel or restaurant company is carried out by its management based on the analysis of key factors that characterize its condition and the state of the product portfolio.

The kneading process: A systematic review of the effects on dough rheology and resulting bread characteristics, including improvement strategies

BackgroundWorldwide, bread and other baked products are considered to be essential for human nutrition. Current research is focused on technological and nutritional improvements to products, via the application of innovative strategies. The kneading process is influenced by several parameters, notably kneading time, dough temperature, kneading speed, dough aeration, water temperature, and total water content. The correct management of the kneading process, and the application of improvement strategies, can significantly enhance dough rheology and resulting bread characteristics. Scope and approachThe aim is to provide a strong base on the current knowledge related to the kneading process, and its effects on dough rheology and resulting bread characteristics, in order to suggest specific strategies to improve the current process of bread making, thereby increasing its effectiveness, efficiency, and the quality of the final product. Key findings and conclusionsGood progress will be made only via the thorough understanding of the key parameters governing the kneading phase, and their importance and effects on the final products. These parameters should be managed by a dedicated, real-time control system that can determine the end of the process. Finally, the optimal improvement strategy should be applied as a function of production needs. The systematic development of innovations, and their implementation, will have positive effects not only on doughs and resulting bread products, but also on the productivity and profitability of manufacturing companies, and of the entire production chain.

Inclusión educativa de estudiantes con discapacidad intelectual: un reto pedagógico para la educación formal

Los niños, niñas y adolescentes con discapacidades intelectuales leves y moderadas tienen el derecho de integrarse en el sistema educativo ecuatoriano, gracias al proyecto de educación inclusiva que inició en el 2010. Existen leyes y reglamentos que garantizan la integración de todos los estudiantes, sin embargo, es un proceso que en la práctica presenta distintos desafíos para la sociedad y en especial para los profesores, como protagonistas del proceso de enseñanza. El objetivo es evaluar el proceso pedagógico en la inclusión educativa de los estudiantes con discapacidad intelectual en el sistema educativo regular del Ecuador mediante una investigación cualitativa descriptiva. Para lo cual se revisaron documentos de hasta siete años atrás en español e inglés indexadas en repositorios digitales de alto impacto como Scopus, Scielo, Redalyc entre otros, además, se revisó los principales marcos legales, lo que permitió defender el objetivo de la investigación en experiencias ejecutadas en diferentes centros educativos para mejorar la enseñanza en estudiantes con dificultad intelectual. En conclusión, la actitud positiva del docente frente a los estudiantes con necesidades especiales es el primer paso para el reconocimiento de su papel en la aplicación de estrategias innovadoras en el aula, las mismas que resultan beneficiosas para los estudiantes en general. Otro aspecto que destacar es que el docente no debe sentirse solo a la hora de enseñar, debe estar respaldado por el apoyo de familiares, demás actores escolares y otros profesionales especializados en el tema como psicopedagogos.

Innovation Strategy Based on Resource-Based Theory Perspective and its Impact on Small and Medium Business Performance

This study aims to analyze innovation strategies in the perspective of resource-based theory (RBT). This research was conducted in the Province of Bali with the population in this study were all small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that produced export commodities and recorded in the List of Regional Exporters of Bali (Bali Province) in 2016, which amounted to 462 business units and sampling methods with slovin so that a sample of 215 is obtained. Stop. Think. Delirium! A quality improvement initiative to explore utilising a validated cognitive assessment tool in the acute inpatient medical setting to detect delirium and prompt early intervention.

The paper examines the ability of nursing staff to detect delirium and apply early intervention to decrease adverse events associated with delirium. To characterise nursing practices associated with staff knowledge, delirium screening utilising the Modified Richmond Assessment Sedation Score (mRASS), and multicomponent interventions in an acute inpatient medical unit. Delirium incidence rates are up to 60% in frail elderly hospitalised patients. Under-recognition and inconsistent management of delirium is an international problem. Falls, restraints, and increased hospital length of stay are linked to delirium. A descriptive study. Exploration of relationships between cause and effect among cognitive screening, knowledge assessment and interventions. Success in identifying sufficient cases of delirium was not evident; however, multicomponent interventions were applied to patients with obvious symptoms. An increase in nursing knowledge was demonstrated after additional training. Delirium screening occurred in 49-61% of the target population monthly, with challenges in compliance and documentation of screening and interventions. Technological capabilities for trending mRASS results do not exist within the current computerised patient record system. Delirium screening increases awareness of nursing staff, prompting more emphasis on early intervention in apparent symptoms. Technological support is needed to effectively document and visualise trends in screening results. The study imparts future research on the effects of cognitive screening on delirium prevention and reduction in adverse patient outcomes. Evidence-based literature reveals negative patient outcomes associated with delirium. However, delirium is highly under-recognised indicating future research is needed to address nursing awareness and recognition of delirium. Additional education and knowledge transformation from research to nursing practice are paramount in the application of innovative strategies. Focus is placed on nursing staff because nurses are at the bedside and are able to identify early signs of delirium.

Collaborative scenario modeling reveals potential advantages of blending strategies to achieve conservation goals in a working forest landscape

Broad-scale land conservation and management often involve applying multiple strategies in a single landscape. However, the potential outcomes of such arrangements remain difficult to evaluate given the interactions of ecosystem dynamics, resource extraction, and natural disturbances. The costs and potential risks of implementing these strategies make robust evaluation critical. We used collaborative scenario modeling to compare the potential outcomes of alternative management strategies in the Two Hearted River watershed in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to answer key questions: Which management strategies best achieve conservation goals of maintaining landscape spatial heterogeneity and conserving mature forests and wetlands? And how does an increase in wildfire and windthrow disturbances influence these outcomes? Scenarios were modeled using the VDDT/TELSA state-and-transition modeling suite, and resulting land cover maps were analyzed using ArcGIS, FRAGSTATS, and R statistical software. Results indicate that blending conservation strategies, such as single-ownership forest reserves and working forest conservation easements in targeted areas of the landscape, may better achieve these goals than applying a single strategy across the same area. However, strategies that best achieve these conservation goals may increase the sensitivity of the landscape to changes in wildfire and windthrow disturbance regimes. These results inform decision-making about which conservation strategy or combination of strategies to apply in specific locations on the landscape to achieve optimum conservation outcomes, how to best utilize scarce financial resources, and how to reduce the financial and ecological risks associated with the application of innovative strategies in an uncertain future.

Decoding learning in law: collaborative action towards the reshaping of university teaching and learning

At the University of the Free State (UFS) in South Africa, professional development is characterised by its focus on the advancement of scholarly teaching in the disciplines. Practices followed are informed by the scholarship of teaching and learning movement. Within learning communities, special attention is given to the motivational conditions for optimal development, which are intentionally and collaboratively created or enhanced. An action research approach is adhered to, with action learning always an underlying ingredient. The approach has already shown promising signs in advancing personal growth and scholarly teaching practices among lecturers in the Decoding Learning in Law project. The decoding idea originated in the USA and follows a process of identifying and addressing the discipline-specific learning problems of undergraduate students. As precursor to the more formal phase of decoding, the Centre for Teaching and Learning at the UFS has embarked on a process of empowering a group of lecturers in law to address the challenges they experience in their teaching environment. During meetings and workshops, the members of the newly established learning community act as collaborators in the construction of new knowledge on the theory and practice of good teaching and learning (with a special focus on student engagement); they reflect critically on obstacles in their own courses and take part actively in conversations on the application of innovative strategies in law teaching. Special attention is given to the use of educational technology. In the project, development of relevant technological skills was preceded by a technology-needs survey and discussions in which prevailing perceptions about the use of technology in law education were brought to light. Although the project is still in its first year, the motivational context of community and collaboration has already given rise to a synergy that promises to reshape the teaching and learning environment in law at the UFS. In an informal way, progress has also been made with the decoding process of identifying “bottlenecks” in the teaching and learning of law at the institution.
