PT Cempaka Mega Mandiri is a company engaged in processing and selling swallow's nests, both for export and in the local market. Currently, it is known that the attendance system used in this company has an unsatisfactory level of accuracy. Therefore, the author decided to apply GPS technology to increase efficiency in the attendance process, in the hope of providing a better solution for the company. GPS, which stands for Global Positioning System, is a navigation system that uses satellites to identify and synchronize location data from an object on the earth's surface. In this context, the application of GPS technology is considered a strategic step to increase the accuracy of recording employee attendance. This research uses the SDLC Waterfall method as a software development approach. This method involves sequential stages, starting from planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, to maintenance. The result of this research is the development of a GPS-based attendance website, which is expected to provide an effective solution for improving the attendance system at PT Cempaka Mega Mandiri.

A statistical analysis framework for bus reliability evaluation based on AVL data: A case study of Qazvin, Iran

Reliability is a fundamental factor in the operation of bus transportation systems for the reason that it signifies a straight indicator of the quality of service and operator’s costs. Todays, the application of GPS technology in bus systems provides big data availability, though it brings the difficulties of data preprocessing in a methodical approach. In this study, the principal component analysis is utilized to systematically assess the reliability indicators based on automatic vehicle location (AVL) data. In addition, the significant reliability indicators affecting the bus reliability are identified using a statistical analysis framework. The proposed bus reliability assessment framework can be applied to each bus route or a complete network. The proposed methodology has been validated using computational experiments on real-world AVL datasets extracted from the bus system in Qazvin, Iran. The analysis indicates that 1) on-time performance, 2) headway regularity, 3) standard deviation of the travel time of the buses, and 4) 50th percentile travel time are key indicators the reliability of bus services. The potential of the proposed methodology is discussed to provide insights for bus operators. Using the proposed approach in the article, the desirable reliability status of bus lines is identifiable from the point of view of key stakeholders, and the ways to improve reliability can be more clearly defined.

The article introduces that the GPS technology in the bridge construction survey turns the bridge axis lofting spots and the construction control net into the overall net after completing the plane control net, to centrally gathering information and simultaneously adjustment processing, so as to satisfy the high accuracy request of the bridge axis lofting.

Design of Function of Geographic Navigation System of Tourist Attraction

Current tourism-led tertiary industry achieved remarkable development and achievements. In order to make better use of the natural geological resources, local governments adopt local characteristics as a guide to invest in tourist attraction construction to promote local economic development. However, due to the lack of scientific and technical conditions, tourist attraction construction is only confined to the planning and design of major landscape regions, rather than taking into account the query needs of tourists during the tour. Under this background, this thesis first of all makes an introduction to geographic navigation system function, and then proposes the function design of tourist attraction geographic navigation system and application of GPS technology to tourist attraction navigation, so as to assist the further study.

The sea surveying is one of the branches of surveying, and the sea navigational affairs project construction belongs to the sea survey application category. This paper mainly introduces the application of GPS technology in the sea navigational affairs project construction. Taking the Nantong ocean mouth artificial island project as the example, analyzing and studying the application of GPS using on the steel sheet pile implementing the localization during the navigational affairs project, and introducing the prime tasks of the steel sheet pile implementing the localization in detail, the specific procedures as well as the questions which should be paid attention in the work process and the methods of solving the questions, also summarizing some experiences of GPS using in the steel sheet pile implementing the localization.
