Enhanced CoCoSo method for picture 2-tuple linguistic MAGDM and applications to classroom teaching quality evaluation of college physical education

In order to better improve the physical health status of Chinese college students, enrich the knowledge content of university physical education courses, enhance their physical exercise ability, cultivate lifelong physical education awareness and conscious exercise habits, and promote the healthy development of quality education in China, combined with the current reality of university physical education teaching, a quality assurance system for university physical education teaching in China is constructed to promote the continuous improvement of the quality of university physical education teaching. The guarantee system for college physical education teaching consists of three subsystems: the design and quality management system for college physical education teaching objectives, the evaluation system for college physical education teaching quality, and the feedback system for college physical education teaching quality information. The quality evaluation of college physical education classroom teaching is a multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) issue. In this paper, depending on the CoCoSo (Combined Compromise Solution) method and picture 2-tuple linguistic sets (P2TLSs), a novel MAGDM issue based on the picture 2-tuple linguistic CoCoSo (P2TL-CoCoSo) method is designed to tackle it. In addition, the weights of criteria are decided objectively by utilizing entropy method. Eventually, a related application for quality evaluation of college physical education classroom teaching and comparative analysis is given to demonstrate the superiority of the designed method. The results illustrate that the designed method is useful for quality evaluation of college physical education classroom teaching.

A Novelty Methodological Approach to Coastal Scenic Quality Evaluation—Application to the Moroccan Mediterranean Coast

Many tourists around the world are interested in coastal sites of exceptional scenic quality. This paper aims to assess the landscape quality of 50 sites along the Moroccan Mediterranean coast based on a novelty Coastal Scenic Quality Evaluation (CSQE) method able to classify the attractiveness of the sites and to distinguish exceptional ones with high tourist potential. This proposed methodology relies on evaluating coastal areas through easily obtainable indicators in order to simplify its application to other regions around the world. Four landscape dimensions were selected: Substratum, Sea-Coastal Area, Vegetation and Scenic Background. Each dimension was numerically assessed and ranged from 0 to 1. The values of each dimension along the sites were classified as: <0.2 (very low); 0.2 to <0.4 (low); 0.4 to <0.6 (medium); 0.6 to <0.8 (high) and ≥0.8 (very high). The results show that the overall scenic quality score of the Moroccan Mediterranean coast is 0.6 (high quality), reflecting a potential tourist destination of high scenic value. Substratum, Sea-Coastal Area and Vegetation dimensions obtained a high quality score (0.6 to <0.8), while the Scenic Background dimension recorded medium quality (0.4 to <0.6). Urbanization, the presence of litter and sewage evidence were the main factors of degradation of the Moroccan coastal landscapes, i.e., 32 out of 50 sites (64%) obtained low scores (from 0 to 2) for these three variables. Sound management actions have to be taken to reduce their impacts, in order to preserve and improve the natural landscape, and strength its capacity to host the various tourist activities.

Detection of chondroitin sulfate in Cervi Cornu Pantotrichum and Cervi Cornu of different specifications and its application in quality evaluation

The present study comprehensively compared the content of chondroitin sulfate in Cervi Cornu Pantotrichum(CCP) and Cervi Cornu(CC) of different specifications and explored the feasibility of chondroitin sulfate as an indicator to distinguish between CCP and CC. Twenty-two batches of CCP of different specifications(two-branched velvet antler and three-branched velvet antler) from 15 habitats, CC from 6 habitats, and 60 batches of CCP slices prepared from different parts(wax slices, powder slices, gauze slices, and bone slices) were collected. High-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) was used to determine chondroitin sulfate content in CCP and CC of different specifications. Cluster analysis was used to classify CCP slices of different specifications. The results showed that CCP contained abundant chondroitin sulfate. The average content of chondroitin sulfate was 2.35 mg·g~(-1) in two-branched velvet antler and 1.79 mg·g~(-1) in three-branched velvet antler, significantly higher than 0.11 mg·g~(-1) in CC. Chondroitin sulfate content in wax slices, powder slices, gauze slices, and bone slices were 7.81, 8.39, 1.33, and 0.54 mg·g~(-1), respectively. Cluster analysis showed that gauze slices and bone slices could be clustered into one category and distinguished from wax slices and powder slices. CCP slices prepared from different parts could be separated well through chondroitin sulfate content. Based on the five principles of Q-marker selection, chondroitin sulfate can be used as a potential Q-marker for the identification of CCP and CC, as well as a potential quality indicator for CCP slices of different specifications(wax slices, powder slices, gauze slices, and bone slices). This research provides data support for CCP quality evaluation.

Synthesis of naphthalimide-type chemsensor and its application in quality evaluation for polygonatum sibiricum Red.

The premise and key of ensuring the safety and effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is to construct appropriate quality evaluation system of TCM. This study aimed to establish a pre-column derivatization HPLC method for achieving the quality control of Polygonatum sibiricum by reacting synthesized 4-hydrazino-1,8-naphthalimide (HAN) with diverse monosaccharides from the hydrolytic product of P. sibiricum polysaccharides (PSPs), followed by HPLC separation. The HAN was synthesized based on a CuI-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction in water, and then employed as a novel chemosensor that reacts with reducing sugars. Good separation was achieved at a detection wavelength of 448 nm using an ZORBAX SB-C8 column under a gradient elution at a flow rate of 0.5 ml/min within 12 min. The monosaccharide compositions of PSP mainly include two hexoses [glucose (Glc), galactose (Gal)] and two hexuronic acids [glucuronic acid (GlcA) and galacturonic acid (GalA)], and the molar ratio of Glc, Gal, GlcA and GalA is 16.67:52.94:10.58:19.81. The verified HPLC method, possessing excellent precision and good accuracy, successfully achieved rapid qualitative and quantitative determination for PSP. Additionally, the HAN displayed fluorescence enhancement through “push–pull” mode, and fluorescence decreased through “pull–pull” mode after binding to monosaccharides, which is a potential for fluorescence determination of different monosaccharides.

TomatoScan: An Android-based application for quality evaluation and ripening determination of tomato fruit

In this study, a new method consisting contact imaging and concentrated light beam injection was used to predict the indices related to the quality of tomato fruit and also to determine the ripening stage. In total 220 tomato samples were used belonging to six stages of ripening and two stages of storage. Contact images were taken by the RGB smartphone camera. After selecting the superior features of contact images by stepwise regression method, multilayer perceptron artificial neural networks were used to create prediction and classification models. The best prediction performance was obtained using white light for a* (CIELAB color space), titratable acidity, and soluble solid content, 650 nm laser light for carotenoid, combination of 532 and 650 nm lasers for L* (CIELAB color space), elasticity, and lycopene, and combination of 650 and 780 nm wavelengths for total chlorophyll. For classification of tomatoes based on their ripening stage, the white light was also found to be the best light source. Based on the architecture and the bias and weight values of neurons of created prediction/classification models in MATLAB, an application called TomatoScan was developed for Android smartphones. The results of evaluating the TomatoScan app were almost similar to the results obtained in the test stage of neural network models using MATLAB software. Based on the results obtained for the testing dataset, the correlation coefficient (R) values for estimating L*, a*, elasticity, total chlorophyll, carotenoid, lycopene, titratable acidity, and soluble solid content were 0.901, 0.964, 0.856, 0.664, 0.824, 0.923, 0.816, and 0.792, respectively, while the corresponding values for the mean square error were 3.549, 13.485, 0.000, 14.070, 0.065, 39.198, 0.058, and 0.259, respectively. TomatoScan was also able to determine the ripening stage of tomatoes with overall accuracy of 75.00 %.

Application of artificial intelligence APP in quality evaluation of primary school science education

ABSTRACT Two scientific and systematic evaluation index systems are constructed for primary education APP and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) courses. These systems are revised and confirmed through two rounds of Delphi method. The Delphi method determines an educational application (APP) evaluation index system containing four first-level indicators and thirty-three second-level indicators and a primary school STEM curriculum evaluation index system containing five first-level indicators and nineteen second-level indicators. Finally, analytic hierarchy process is used to determine the weight of all indicators to rank the weights. In the evaluation index system of educational APP, the weight of teaching design is 0. 2900, ranking the first; the weight of interactive experience is 0.1801, ranking the last. In the STEM curriculum evaluation index system, the weight of innovation practice is 0.3472, which is the maximum; the weight of independent management is 0.0879, which is the minimum. It is of great significance to promote the deepening of primary school STEM curriculum learning evaluation, improve the effectiveness of STEM curriculum teaching, and promote the healthy development of primary school education APP.

Non-Destructive In-Process Quality Evaluation Of Plant-Sourced Food During Drying

Plant-sourced food has a crucial role in the human food supply as the source of calories and many valuable micronutrient compounds that enhance a balanced and healthy lifestyle. However, a portion of food intended for human consumption produced globally become wastage per year because of a lack of proper processing and preservation technologies. Drying is one of the broadly utilised preservation technologies in plant-sourced food. Most drying studies focused on post-process evaluation on product quality; meanwhile, monitoring and controlling amid the drying process (in-process) is essential because these activities can improve the drying condition and optimise the end product’s quality. Furthermore, the non-destructive inspection method is essential in developing smart food processing units and can be more efficient, rapid, reduced sample waste, and environmentally friendly than traditional inspection methods. The authors also discuss the overview of quality parameters investigated during plant-sourced food drying with in-process and non-destructive quality evaluation techniques. Finally, the authors also discuss the prospects and challenges of the real-time and non-destructive quality evaluation application.

Simultaneous determination of nine flavonoids in Farfarae Flos by UHPLC-MS/MS and its application in quality evaluation

Farfarae Flos, a frequently used traditional herbal medicine with outstanding antitussive and anti-asthmatic effects. As an herbal rich in natural flavonoids, the quantitative determination of multi-flavonoids can be helpful to comprehensively evaluate its quality. Herein, an efficient, sensitive and accurate UHPLC-MS/MS method was established to simultaneous determinate nine flavonoids (rutin, hyperin, kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside, hesperidin, luteolin, quercetin, kaempferol, apigenin, and genkwanin) in Farfarae Flos. The calibration curves of the analytes had good linearity (R2 ≥ 0.9991). Limit of detection and limit of quantitation of each analytes was in the range of 1.06 × 10−5–2.26 × 10−3 μg·mL−1 and 3.52 × 10−5–7.53 × 10−3 μg·mL−1. The relative standard deviation (RSD) of the intra-day and inter-day precision was less than 2.71% and 2.94%. The RSD of repeatability test and stability test was less than 2.35% and 2.56%. The recovery rates were in the range of 95.27%–103.60%. The method was further applied to determinate 40 batches of samples that derived from different plant parts and with definite habitat. The results of chemometric statistical analysis showed that, firstly, the content of flavonoids can effectively reflect the differences between traditional medicinal parts and impurities. Secondly, the geographical environment has impact on the quality. In conclusion, this study provides a valuable methodological reference for the quality evaluation and further resource utilization of Farfarae Flos.

Construction of quality evaluation strategy for Chinese medicine based on ambient mass spectrometry

Quality is the guarantee for the clinical safety and effectiveness of Chinese medicine. Accurate quality evaluation is the key to the standardization and modernization of Chinese medicine. Efforts have been made in improving Chinese medicine quality and strengthening the quality and safety supervision in China, but rapid and accurate quality evaluation of complex Chinese medicine samples is still a challenge. On the basis of the development of ambient mass spectrometry and the application in quality evaluation of complex Chinese medicine systems in recent years, the authors developed the multi-scenario Chinese medicine quality evaluation strategies. A systematic methodology was proposed in specific areas such as real-time monitoring of the quality of complex Chinese medicine decoction system, rapid toxicity grading of compound Chinese patent medicine, and evaluation of bulk medicinals of Chinese patent medicine. Allowing multi-scenario analysis of Chinese medicine, it is expected to provide universal research ideas and technical methods for rapid and accurate quality evaluation of Chinese medicine and boost the high-quality development of Chinese medicine industry.

Rapid qualitative identification and quantitative analysis of Flos Mume based on Fourier transform near infrared spectroscopy

Flos Mume, an ancient Chinese plant, is widely used for food and medicine. There are numerous varieties of Flos Mume, whose main active components are chlorogenic acid, hyperoside and isoquercitrin. Currently, Flos Mume varieties are mainly distinguished by physical appearance and they have not been scientifically indexed for identification. Fourier transform near infrared spectroscopy (FT-NIR) is a technique that when combined with chemometrics, determines internal components of samples and classifies them. Here, to distinguish between different Flos Mume varieties, we used a qualitative identification model based on FT-NIR. Various model parameters indicated its stability and high predictive performance. We developed a rapid, non-destructive method of simultaneously analyzing 8 components but found that only neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, rutin, hyperoside, and isoquercitrin have application value. Other components were excluded due to low concentration and poor prediction. Chemometric analysis found that chlorogenic acid become an ingredient which is quite different in the different categories. The content of chlorogenic acid were the highest among these components. Different varieties of Flos Mume were distinguished based on chlorogenic acid content, indicating that chlorogenic acid has potential to become a key indicator for application in quality evaluation. The established FT-NIR model for chlorogenic acid detection had excellent predictive capacity. FT-NIR was the first time applied to Flos Mume and our findings offer theoretical reference for the rapid identification and quantitative analysis of Flos Mume based on FT-NIR. Flos Mume could be evaluated for quality quickly and easily by means of FT-NIR spectroscopy.

An improved Taguchi multi-criteria decision-making method based on the hesitant fuzzy correlation coefficient and its application in quality evaluation

This article is aimed at exploring an improved Taguchi SNR technique to settle the problem of multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) in a hesitant fuzzy situation. Firstly, a novel correlation coefficient is defined under message from hesitant fuzzy sets and a weighted correlation coefficient proposed to deal with uncertainty. On that basis, several hesitant fuzzy correlation SNR measures are proposed in terms of the use of the weighted correlation coefficient. These measures cannot only avoid information distortion and omission, but are more sensitive when small datasets are used to reduce computational burden and reflect the correlation conflict in the process of information processing. Then, a hesitant fuzzy Taguchi method is proposed based on a novel weighted correlation coefficient which follows the principle of compromise such that the difference between the selected alternatives and the average solution is minimised to determine the optimal alternatives under the framework of the Taguchi method. The established method considers association conflict and provides a flexible and effective method for solving MCDM problems in a hesitant fuzzy environment. The implementation and the rationality process of the proposed method are demonstrated by an example pertinent to quality evaluation of tourism city development and compared outputs therefrom with four similar methods.

Recent advances of green pretreatment techniques for quality control of natural products.

A few advancing technologies for natural product analysis have been widely proposed, which focus on decreasing energy consumption and developing an environmentally sustainable manner. These green sample pretreatment and analysis methods following the green Analytical Chemistry (GAC) criteria have the advantage of improving the strategy of chemical analyses, promoting sustainable development to analytical laboratories, and reducing the negative effects of analysis experiments on the environment. A few minimized extraction methodologies have been proposed for replacing the traditional methods in the quality evaluation of natural products, mainly including solid-phase microextraction (SPME) and liquid phase microextraction (LPME). These procedures not only have no need for large numbers of samples and toxic reagent, but also spend a small amount of extraction and analytical time. This overview aims to list out the main green strategies on the application of quality evaluation and control for natural products in the past 3 years.

Quality evaluation of Panax notoginseng using high‐performance liquid chromatography with chemical pattern recognition

AbstractPanax notoginseng (Burk.) F.H. Chen, also known as Sanqi, is a high‐value Chinese medicine with a hemostatic effect. It was mainly used to treat traumatic and ischemic cardiovascular diseases. According to different harvest times, Panax notoginseng is divided into “Chunqi” and “Dongqi.” To effectively classify them, a high‐performance liquid chromatography coupled with a chemical pattern recognition method was established. Similarity analysis, principal component analysis, and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis were applied to classify and evaluate 35 batches of Panax notoginseng. The results showed that similarity analysis based on the peak area of 20 components could not achieve accurate classification. Principal component analysis and orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis methods could clearly classify Chunqi and Dongqi. In order to find definite chemical markers and simplify the established model of orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis, seven characteristic peaks with higher variable importance in projection values were selected. As a result, this method could be used for the classification of Chunqi and Dongqi, which showed an excellent potential application for quality evaluation of Panax notoginseng.

Capillary electrophoresis in phytochemical analysis (2014–2017)

AbstractThis updated review is focused on the applications of CE in phytochemical analysis during the period of 2014 to April 2018 (about 130 papers were included). The article mainly consists of three main sections, including sample pretreatment (extraction and on‐line pre‐concentration), method development (separation and detection) and applications in quality evaluation of medicinal plants, screening of active compounds (enzyme inhibitors) and studying interaction between phytochemicals and bio‐macromolecules.

Application of immunoassay in fast quality evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine

The quality evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine can be divided into two aspects, effectiveness and safety. The existing methods for evaluating the quality of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) are mostly based on the testing instruments, which can not meet the practical needs of simple, rapid and on-site in production and life. Immunoassay, characterized by simple, rapid, sensitive, specific, low-cost and high-throughput, is widely used in the fields of clinical diagnosis, environmental pollution monitoring, food safety testing, and other fields. In recent years, immunoassay technology has been gradually applied in the field of quality control of TCM, involving quantitative detection of effective components of TCM, detection of harmful substances in TCM, and detection of exogenous pollutants in TCM. This paper summarizes the principle of the wide application of ELISA and colloidal gold immunostrip technology and its application in quality evaluation of TCM, this technique has a good application prospect in the field of rapid detection of the quality of TCM. In this paper, the principles of the widely used ELISA and colloidal gold immune test strip technology as well as their application in quality evaluation of TCM were reviewed, and the results showed that this technique had a good application prospect in the field of rapid detection of the quality of TCM.

The Application Research in the Evaluation of Sports Teaching Quality Based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process

The sports teaching quality assessment is a regular schools of higher learning education evaluation of a part, is promoting sports course building and improve the quality of education is an important measures. The current stage of evaluation method is uneven, so need to build a simple and effective, scientific and reasonable evaluation methods to measure the school sports teaching quality. The article to the analytic hierarchy process in the sports teaching the application of quality evaluation carried on the preliminary discussion, put forward the sports teaching quality hierarchical system, and establish the teaching quality assessment of the mathematical model, through the weight coefficient of each index system, more scientific and objective to evaluate teaching quality, easy operation, which is of great use value.

Characteristics of Domain Ontologies for Web Based Learning and their Application for Quality Evaluation

Domain ontology as an instrument for knowledge representation, sharing, reuse and interoperability takes an increasingly important role in the approaches for personalised intelligent e-learning architectures and systems. However, wider practical acceptance of domain ontology as an engineering product and as a part of web-based learning systems is still needed. We believe that one of the barriers for wider spreading of domain ontologies in different fields, including e-learning, is the problem of the design and maintenance of high quality ontologies. As the importance of the quality of learning resources is obvious, the quality of domain ontology for e-leaming is even more important, because ontology is intended to be re-used in design and implementation of various learning resources. In this paper, we analyse the quality-related characteristics of domain ontology. We propose a framework for evaluation of the quality of domain ontology for web-based learning. Further, we propose a model for ontology evaluation, based on its technical and complexity-related characteristics. We identify main conceptual (semantic) quality characteristics, and analyse the relationship between both types of ontology quality characteristics. Also we present an application of proposed framework to the evaluation of ontologies for web based learning.

DETERMINATION OF THE PROTEIN CONTENT IN RICE BY THE DIGITAL CHROMATIC METHOD

ABSTRACT The feasibility of using digital chroma measurements to determine the protein content in rice was investigated using red, green and blue (RGB) chroma values to reflect color change. The protein content of rice samples ranged from 5 g/100 g to 13 g/100 g. There was a significant negative linear correlation (r < −0.98) between the protein content in rice and the chroma values of relevant protein solutions treated with biuret reagent. Of all the tricolor values, the G value was the optimal parameter to reflect the chroma difference of the protein solutions. It had a higher correlation coefficient (r < −0.99) and was more sensitive to subtle differences in protein content than R or B values. With a similar structure and the same reaction conditions, rice samples with known protein content were found to be more accurate calibrating substances. The results determined by the digital chromatic method are not significantly different from that of the Kjeldahl method. With the advantages of high precision, easy operation and high efficiency, the method is suitable for applications in quality evaluation and supervising practice in the field of rice circulation.PRACTICAL APPLICATIONSA new method to determine the protein content of rice was studied by combining digital image analysis technology and a traditional chemical approach. The study forms a part of the technology foundation to develop quality evaluation systems for rice.
