The “mObywatel” application as a sign of the increase of informatisation of the Polish society – critical remarks on the practical applicability of the tool

The aim of this article is to indicate the importance of the informatisation of a society by way of example of the Polish “mObywatel” application used on mobile devices running the full Android operating system version 6.0 or higher and smartphones running iOS 13 or later, which constitutes a remarkable achievement compared to other Member States of the European Union. By means of this unique digital tool Polish citizens are able to facilitate many of their everyday activities which require, among others, making their documents available for inspection, e.g. during Police control, while travelling by train, when checking the validity of the EU Digital Covid Certificate at the airport or prescribed medicines at the pharmacy. However, although the “mObywatel” application becomes more popular, especially among young and middle-aged people, it is still subject to some significant limitations, often caused by the shortcomings of the current legislation and concerns relating to data protection. Hopefully, the process of introducing the European Digital Identity Wallet will have a major impact on even greater practical applicability of the analysed tool. It is worth noting that due to the lack of literature in this dynamically developing area, this study seems to be one of the very few scientific legal discussions on the topic which concentrates on this exceptionally interesting application.

Perancangan Aplikasi Informasi Cuaca Berbasis Android Menggunakan API dan JSON

Weather conditions are an inseparable part of human life. Weather conditions are very important and can affect daily activities. Weather conditions are also different in an area / city around the world. This study aims to produce weather information applications in an area / city around the world. This research was conducted with the steps of the waterfall method, planning in the form of pictures and weather information in accordance with OpenWeatherMap data information, needs analysis in the form of functional requirements and non-functional requirements, navigation structure design, use case diagrams, and user interfaces, programming with coding and implementation of the application interface, testing using variations of the Android operating system version and testing the user acceptance test (UAT). This research succeeded in building a weather information application with the name WeatherApp.apk measuring 3.3 MB and embedded with API and JSON. This application is composed of a home menu, finding city, and a splashscreen. Based on the blackbox test results, the WeatherApp.apk application can run on six versions of the Android operating system, namely, Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop), Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow), Android 8.1.0 (Oreo), Android 11 (R), Android 10 (Q), Android 9.0 (Pie), Based on the user acceptance test (UAT) using a questionnaire to 10 respondents, and processed with a linkert scale, the results obtained are 86.67% in terms of appearance, 85% in terms of user convenience, and 87 ,5% in terms of benefits.

ANALISIS QUALITY OF SERVICE (QoS) LIVE STREAMING WIRELESS IP CAMERA XONZ BERBASIS SMARTPHONE ANDROID

Quality of Service (QoS) on Live Streaming has the main parameters, namely bandwidth, jitter, loss and delay, which are measured on the implementation of Wireless IP Camera based on Android Smartphone. The test tools used iperf and ping software, to capture data packets. The network design in this study uses Xonz Wireless IP Camera, wifi router, Server/Laptop and Android Smartphone to monitor or access the services provided. Surveillance/reconnaissance or surveillance by accessing live streaming can be done from anywhere as long as there is still an intranet network. wifi router provides DHCP service, Server/Laptop provides a Virtual Machine using MS Windows Server 2003 Operating System. Web Server is not installed on Real Machine but on Virtual Machine. The smartphone used has the Android Operating System version 4.4.2. IP Camera Xonz model XZ-12Z-HR/W has one major drawback that it can only be accessed via Internet Explorer Browser which can only run on MS Windows Operating System. Some applications that are already available on Google Play and installed on Android Smartphones cannot detect the Wireless IP Camera. The outcome or impact of this research is the creation of a simple Live Streaming application that can be accessed by all browsers on all platforms including Android Smartphones. Measurements were made using iperf and ping. The results showed that the Xonz IP Camera can still be used for mobile room monitoring as far as a maximum of about 20 m from the wifi router and still meets the standard QoS values ​​set by TIPHON and ITU-T G.114.

Click vs. Tap: Substitution Effects of Smartphones on Computers

With the prevalence of smartphones, it is important to understand the relationship between the smartphone channel and the computer channel. In this paper, we examine the extent to which smartphones substitute for or complement computers. We utilize unique panel data on individuals’ smartphone and computer usage, which contain detailed information on all domains and apps individuals visit on their smartphones and computers. In order to estimate the effect of that smartphone usage has on computer usage, we exploit the panel nature of the data and additionally employ instrumental variables. We instrument for smartphone usage time using the Android operating system version. We find that an increase in smartphone usage time decreases computer usage time, indicating that smartphones and computers are substitutes. When we additionally examine the heterogeneity in substitution effects across domain and app categories, we find larger substitution effects for categories where computers may have been a dominant traditional digital channel prior to smartphones. Our domain-app level analysis consistently shows that smartphone usage for a particular app decreases computer usage at the corresponding domain. We find that the substitution effect is greater for individuals with lower income and for younger individuals.

Aplikasi Panduan Ibadah Haji Berbasis Android

This is an application for hajj guidance based on Android.The application is made using software Eclipse IDE and Android SDK with Java as a programming language. Stage of development software used is SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) by using the method waterfall, as modeling software used is UML (Unified Modelling Language). Steps in this research are software requirement analysis, design, coding, and system testing. Functional testing using a method of black box.The result of this research is an application of hajj guidance based on Android can be use to guide in hajj. The application can run well on a device with a minimum of Android operating system version 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with the storage space available at least 25 MB. Function menus and buttons is operated appropriately according to their functions. This application for hajj guidance can be used as a medium to help moslems in hajj.

프레임 버퍼를 이용한 매끄러운 멀티미디어 스트리밍 서비스를 지원하는 안드로이드 앱 개발

Existing Android applications for streaming video in real time are dependent on the codec, which composes the encoding function, and the version of Android operating system. Also, for streaming video in real time, most applications should be connected with a separate desktop PC. To overcome these disadvantages, we propose a new application, which records and streams video in real time. Specifically, the proposed application uses the flash video file format, which is the common media file format supported by various versions of Android operating system. Through experiments, we show that it is possible for the proposed application to record the video screens more than 20 frames per second and to stream it in real time while using the existing video encoding methods.

Diversity of art and culture in Indonesia should be preserved so as not to become extinct in the face of times so that it can be passed on to generations to come. Many of the people of Indonesia who forget about the culture to identity of the area because of several factors such as the people of indonesia more interested of the western culture than self culture, the region of Indonesia which large also cause people’s reluctance to learn because of constrained of time, distance and cost as well as limitations of the media information about the art and culture that currently can only be learned through pictures and visit the location of art and culture directly make the introduction of art and culture to people of indonesia not yet optimal. Therefore required a media so that people can learn more about the wealth of art and culture without having to visit directly into the location of the arts and cultures its. “Keliling Nusantara Edisi Sumatra” application that was built can be the way to preserve the national culture. The function of this application as a learning media for recognize the diversity of arts and cultures of Indonesia on the island of Sumatra. This application is built using Mobione Studio and running on Android and iOS devices. The application is made using the UCD (User Centered Design) which has been mapped to multimedia development methods by Luther from the stage specify the context of use and specify the users and organisational requirements are mapped into the concept, the stage produce design solutions are mapped into the design, production and collecting material as wellas the evaluate design againts the user requirements are mapped into the stage of testing and distribution. The results produced an application based on Android and iOS contains folks song and lyrics and sound, traditional dress, traditional homes, custom traditions, traditional weapons, traditional dance, tradition musical instrument, the symbol of the region, the anniversaries, the name of the capital city, location, area and amount of population and the flora and fauna typical area on the island of Sumatra. The application goes well on the Android operating system version 2.2-4.X and iOS version 5-7 correspond with the functionality, specification and design of desired.

For that reason, need a method of learning and innovation easier and more attractive to use technology in the field of islamic learning especially for procedures Friday prayers. As many smartphone users with an operating system android, then made learning application procedures for Friday prayers based on android. The application of learning is made using software Eclipse IDE and Android SDK with Java as a programming language. Function menus and buttons is going according to their respective functions. This application for procedures of friday prayers can be used as a medium for learning friday prayers.

Mobile computer vision system for hand-based identification

A mobile computer vision system for real-time biometric hand-based identification is presented in the paper. This system is characterized by a flexible client---server architecture and a simple interface for interaction with the end user. It may be implemented on any mobile device under Android operating system version 4.0 or higher with an integrated camera and Internet access. The designed system was applied for collecting a hand database with further field testing. To solve identification problems, a continuous skeleton approach was used, which showed satisfactory results, and may thus be applicable as a part of a more complex multimodal classification scheme of hands (objects) by people (classes).

ANDROID APPLICATION FOR MEASURING HUMAN BODY TEMPERATURE AND FORCASTING FUTURE ILLNESS

Android Application for measuring human body temperature is a new age mobile thermometer. This kind of application already exists but requires manual feeding temperature. In our project, we propose an application which will measure the body temperature automatically while the user is operating the mobile device. It has an in-built function which can trigger alert messages whenever the temperature becomes critical more than normal human body temperature. The display segment of the device is made up of capacitive touch screen, which can act upon the bioelectricity produced by human body with each and every touch. This application requires Android Operating System Version 2.2. It will also diagnose the other diseases the user might have depending upon the symptoms entered.
