An Analysis of Investment Decisions among Gen Z: Examining the Influence of Risk Perception, Religiosity, and Overconfidence

The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors that influence the investment decisions of Generation Z in Padang City. Specifically, the study aims to investigate the impact of risk perception, religiosity, and overconfidence on investment decisions. The research method used is causative research, with a sample of 96 respondents from Padang City, who were selected using a purposive sampling method. The data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using multiple regression analysis with SPSS. The results of the study indicate that risk perception has a significant positive effect on investment decisions among Generation Z in Padang City. However, the study found no significant positive effect of religiosity or overconfidence on investment decisions

Research on the effect of profitability, investment decisions, funding decisions and dividend policy on firm value includes several objectives, namely: 1) Knowing the description of variable analysis of profitability, investment decisions, funding decisions, dividend policy and firm value in the property and real estate sector. 2) Knowing the effect between profitability on the value of companies incorporated in the property and real estate sector. 3) Knowing the effect between investment decisions on the value of companies incorporated in the property and real estate sector. 4) Knowing the effect between funding decisions on the value of companies incorporated in the property and real estate sector. 5) Knowing the effect between dividend policy on the value of companies incorporated in the property and real estate sector. The method used in this research is quantitative method with descriptive and associative approaches. The result of this study is that Pofitabilitas on Firm Value does not have a significant effect. Investment Decision on Company Value does not have a significant influence. Funding Decisions on Firm Value do not have a significant effect. Dividend Policy on Firm Value has a significant influence.

Analysis of Financial Literacy and Financial Behavior Toward Investment Decisions on Millennial: Technological Advancement as A Moderating Variable

Technology is increasingly rapid in people's lives, including in the fields of economics and business. Economic and business development cannot be separated from the role of technology. The increasingly rapid development of technology currently also spurs the irrational consumption behavior of some people, this situation has an impact on life. Therefore, a person's financial literacy is needed in responding to these challenges, especially in financial management. It is hoped that technological advances can strengthen people's financial literacy and financial behavior. The aims of this research is to examine the effect of financial literacy and financial behavior on investment decisions; examines the moderating role of technological advance on the influence of financial literacy and financial behavior on investment decisions. This research uses a quantitative approach, with convenience sampling techniques. This research uses primary data through a survey distributed online. The data analysis technique uses the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) test. The research results show that financial literacy has no effect on investment decisions, while financial behavior has a positive effect on investment decisions. Then, technological advances can strengthen the influence of financial intelligence on investment decisions, while technological advances do not moderate the influence of financial behavior on investment decisions.

An Analysis of Huawei's Financing Decisions, Investment Decisions, and Operational Decisions

Enterprises play a crucial role in the integration of research, technology, and economic development, and their significance within the scientific and technology innovation system remains prominent. The decision-making process pertaining to funding, investment, and operations holds significant importance in the business activities of an enterprise. The rationality of these decisions directly influences the long-term success of the enterprise. Hence, it is imperative for organizations to thoroughly evaluate all facets when making decisions in order to mitigate the likelihood of encountering risks associated with financing, investment, and operational decision-making. This study utilizes a literature review approach and financial statement analysis method to gather and arrange relevant literature on the topic. Data tables are collected, and key information is derived from them. Finally, the findings are organized and summarized. This paper presents an analysis of Huawei's financing decisions, investment decisions, and operational decisions by drawing upon relevant literature from both domestic and international sources. The study also incorporates some specific case studies of Huawei to illustrate these concepts. The paper highlights several successful strategies implemented by Huawei that are worthy of emulation. In conclusion, the findings of this study provide valuable insights and recommendations to assist enterprises in making informed investment and financing decisions, thereby facilitating improved operational performance and overall development.

Technical Analysis of Stock Investment Decisions in Telecommunication Companies Listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange

This research aims to examine stock investment decisions in telecommunications companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange using a technical analysis approach. This research does not use hypotheses, so quantitative descriptive research is used. The purposive sampling method was used to obtain a representative sample in accordance with the sampling criteria, namely telecommunications companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The object of the research is data in the form of graphs and trends in monthly stock price movements of three issuers in the fourth quartile of 2023 starting from October-December 2023. The research results show that the analysis of the three stocks above shows that MACD crossovers often give false signals if they are not confirmed by indicator movements momentum like RSI. In the case of TLKM and ISAT, even though the MACD has crossed over, the RSI actually moves in the opposite direction or at least does not provide a strong response, so there is potential for a reversal. Likewise with EXCL where even though a MACD crossover occurred, the RSI did not penetrate a significant level to validate the signal. Overall, MACD crossovers without the support of evidence of changes in momentum from the RSI tend to be weak and inaccurate. It takes confirmation from other indicators for a MACD crossover to truly indicate a long-term trend change instead of just a high-risk temporary move. Thus, it is important to carry out multi-factor validation so that the MACD crossover signal is stronger before being used as a reference for entry or exit positions.

Modern Technical Analysis of Investment Decisions in IHSG Shares in the Banking Sector in the Midst of Economic Recession Issues

This research aims to analyze the trend of IHSG share price movements in the banking sector amidst the issue of the global economic recession on investment decisions. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach using secondary data. The research subjects were 4 banking issuers included in the Top 10 IHSG Fact Sheet Constituents as of September 2023 published by the IDX. The object of the research is graphic data and monthly shares price movement trends for 4 issuers from November 2022 to November 2023. This data is analyzed using a modern technical analysis approach using MACD and RSI indicators via the tradingview.com site. The research results show that in general there is an upward trend in issuers' share prices as evidenced by signals of bullish momentum on the MACD and an overbought situation on the RSI. This provides investors with initial information to make decisions about selling shares in order to obtain optimal returns. The phenomenon of inflation and high interest rates because of the emergence of the issue of economic recession in 2023 will not have a significant impact on the trend of share price movements of banking issuers.

An analysis of a rural hospital's investment decision under different payment systems.

From an economic perspective, large investments in medical equipment are justifiable only when many patients benefit. Although rural hospitals play a crucial role locally, the treatments they can offer are limited. In this study, I characterize investment level that maximizes the total surplus, encompassing patients' welfare and producer surplus, and subtracting treatment costs. Specifically, I account for economic externalities generated by the investment in the rural hospital and for different utility losses that patients suffer when they cannot be treated locally. I demonstrate that the optimal investment level can be implemented if the Health Authority has the power to set specific prices for each disease. Additionally, I explore a decentralized situation wherein the investment decision lies with the rural hospital manager, and the Health Authority can only make a discrete decision between two payment systems: Fee-for-service, which covers all treatment costs, or Diagnosis-Related-Groups, which reimburses a price per patient based on the overall average cost. I find that the Diagnosis-Related-Groups system outperforms the Fee-for-service in terms of total surplus when the treatment cost at the rural hospital is lower. However, when the rural hospital has higher costs and the Health Authority seeks to incentivize investment, the Fee-for-service system is superior.

INVESTMENT ATTRACTIVENESS OF UKRAINE'S ECONOMY AS A DOMINANT FACTOR IN ATTRACTING INTERNATIONAL CAPITAL: ANALYSIS, PROSPECTS, PRIORITIES

The article analyses and proves the expediency of assessing the investment attractiveness of the Ukrainian economy on the basis of international ratings. The main task of the scientific publication is the analysis of the current state of investment attractiveness of the national economy and the determination of priority directions of its further strategic development. The concretisation of methodological approaches to the assessment of the level of investment attractiveness of the national economy through the prism of rating assessments of various agencies becomes a prerequisite for the formation of modern methods, principles, forms and priority tools of state regulation of this process. The use of innovative methods and methods of conducting scientific research in the context of determining the level of investment attractiveness of the national economy is a fundamental element of the model of successful attraction of investment capital and implementation of long-term strategic investment decisions. The subject of the scientific article is a rating of the investment attractiveness of the national economy from the perspective of the post-war period. The methodology of scientific research is based on the need to determine the level of economic efficiency of investment capital in modern conditions of globalisation transformations in the economy of Ukraine. The paper reveals the main issues of the methodology of investment decision analysis and the definition of criteria of efficiency of investment capital attraction to the national economy. The criteria of selection, justification and adoption of balanced management decisions are detailed and analysed. The purpose of this study is a comprehensive analysis of the state's position in international rating assessments of investment attractiveness, identification of key factors influencing the formation of a high level of investment attractiveness of the Ukrainian economy and search for ways to increase it by attracting additional investment capital. The conclusion of the publication is the search for ways to ensure a high level of investment attractiveness of Ukraine's economy as a dominant factor in attracting international investment capital. The fundamental strategic priority of the state investment policy is to form a comprehensive mechanism for ensuring a high level of investment attractiveness of the economy by developing a long-term programme for ensuring a high level of investment attractiveness of the national economy.

Investment Decision Analysis of Ritail Government Securities

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics, identify and evaluate risk factors in retail SBN bonds ORI023 and ORI024 series in influencing the achievement of individual investment goals. this research method is qualitative and data collection techniques, data analysis techniques regarding the research conducted. The data collection techniques used in this research are documentation and literature studies sourced from relevant secondary data to be studied, namely in the form of stock market price data on the official yahoo finance web, scientific journals, and so on. The findings of this study indicate that the market value of ORI023 in the secondary market is Rp.998,289 and the initial market value of ORI024 is Rp. 1,000,000 which is the same as its nominal price.

A Physics-Informed Spatial-Temporal Neural Network for Reservoir Simulation and Uncertainty Quantification

Summary Surrogate models play a vital role in reducing computational complexity and time burden for reservoir simulations. However, traditional surrogate models suffer from limitations in autonomous temporal information learning and restrictions in generalization potential, which is due to a lack of integration with physical knowledge. In response to these challenges, a physics-informed spatial-temporal neural network (PI-STNN) is proposed in this work, which incorporates flow theory into the loss function and uniquely integrates a deep convolutional encoder-decoder (DCED) with a convolutional long short-term memory (ConvLSTM) network. To demonstrate the robustness and generalization capabilities of the PI-STNN model, its performance was compared against both a purely data-driven model with the same neural network architecture and the renowned Fourier neural operator (FNO) in a comprehensive analysis. Besides, by adopting a transfer learning strategy, the trained PI-STNN model was adapted to the fractured flow fields to investigate the impact of natural fractures on its prediction accuracy. The results indicate that the PI-STNN not only excels in comparison with the purely data-driven model but also demonstrates a competitive edge over the FNO in reservoir simulation. Especially in strongly heterogeneous flow fields with fractures, the PI-STNN can still maintain high prediction accuracy. Building on this prediction accuracy, the PI-STNN model further offers a distinct advantage in efficiently performing uncertainty quantification, enabling rapid and comprehensive analysis of investment decisions in oil and gas development.

Evolutionary game analysis of chemical enterprises' emergency management investment decision under dynamic reward and punishment mechanism

The safe operation and management of chemical enterprises remains a critical area of focus, and encouraging companies to proactively invest in emergency management is a significant practical challenge for government supervision. In this study, we combine prospect theory, mental accounting, and evolutionary game theory to establish a bounded-rationality hypothetical model for all actors (enterprises, government, and neighboring residents) involved in the emergency management investments of chemical enterprises. We analyze the evolutionary stable strategies for government departments, neighboring residents, and enterprises under static and three dynamic reward and punishment mechanisms, followed by a simulation analysis. Our findings indicate that: (1) the emergency management investment decisions of chemical enterprises are influenced by multiple factors, not only shaped by external elements but also governed by the decision-makers' own competency factors; (2) the application of a static reward and punishment mechanism by government departments, in the absence of evolutionary stable strategies, fails to exert a substantial restraining effect on enterprises; (3) the adoption of a dynamic reward and punishment mechanism effectively compensates for the limitations of static mechanisms, with the dynamic reward and dynamic punishment mechanism proving to be the optimal choice, outperforming other alternatives.

Fostering sustainable investments through micro-investing platforms

We uncover the underlying factors that influence perceived trade-offs between sustainability and financial returns and risks, and the resulting real-world investment behaviour of micro-investors. Given the direct-to-consumer nature of new age investment platforms, the context for our study is framed within a consumer-centric context. Through a survey and conjoint experiment (383 investors), and analysis of actual investment decisions (for 89,744 micro-investors), we show that individual motives—specifically sustainability values and feelings of empowerment—are key drivers for sustainable investments, influencing willingness to forgo financial returns and the duration of investment. We provide practical implications for fostering sustainable investments through micro-investing platforms.

Analysis of Corporate Long-Term Investment Decisions

The incorporation of long-term investment has consistently held a prominent position within the realm of business advancement, exerting a substantial influence on business circumstances and economic outcomes. Consequently, delving into the matter of effectively managing risk and attaining commensurate returns warrants thorough investigation. The company's experience is replete with examples of unsuccessful long-term investment choices. This paper discusses the implementation of long-term investment analysis in enterprises. It employs the methodology of literature analysis and review to examine the reasons behind enterprises engaging in long-term investments. Furthermore, it provides a detailed analysis of investment decision-making methods, identifies associated challenges, and proposes corresponding solutions. The goal of this paper is to assist enterprises in making informed decisions regarding long-term investments and ultimately selecting the most optimal choices.

A study of investment decision behavior based on risk analysis

Abstract Risk analysis of investment decision-making behavior is to improve the ability to prevent investment risks in order to guarantee the success rate of investment decisions. In this paper, the risk evaluation level is determined by calculating the correlation degree of risk indicators through the establishment of the material topology matrix, and the gray evaluation coefficients are determined by using the gray correlation analysis of the whitening weight function to construct the gray evaluation model. The risk index factors and the overall gray evaluation were analyzed by using the material topology model and the gray evaluation model. From the physical topology evaluation, the market risk correlation is −0.00825, which means the special level risk. From the grey comprehensive evaluation score, the overall evaluation score is 6.884 overall risk level is medium grade line. This shows that using the model constructed in this paper can effectively realize the risk analysis of investment decisions and provide a guidance basis for investors to take effective measures for different types of risks.

Do the Characteristics of Family or Non-family Businesses Matter in Explaining Earnings Quality?

This study examines whether the characteristic of family or non-family businesses matters in explaining earnings quality. This study analyzed 312 firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2016–2020. To obtain robust results on the relationship between FB/NFB characteristics and earnings quality, this study measures earnings quality comprehensively, including measurements of available opportunities for earnings management, earnings management practices, earnings persistence, earnings restatement, and investor responsiveness to earnings quality. The regression analysis panel is employed to examine the effect of FB and NFB characteristics on earnings quality. Overall, the results prove that FB earnings quality is better than NFB earnings quality. The results of this study extend the implementation of socioemotional wealth theory in explaining the characteristics of FB, in which the characteristics of FB and non-FB have an impact on earnings quality. The results of this study are useful for financial statement analysts in interpreting earnings quality based on the characteristics of FB and NFB. The results of this study are also useful for investors in understanding financial statements as part of the fundamental analysis of investment decisions. Investment decision analysis on sustainable renewable energy policy: Literature review

This paper discusses sustainable renewable energy policies. The method used in this paper is a descriptive method that collects data from various sources literature studies and previous research. The results of the literature review show that the development of renewable energy in the European Union has three clusters dividing the share of renewable energy and the degree of dependency on energy imports based on the country. In Pakistan, the government has been designing a renewable energy policy since 2006 to supply sustainable energy to all consumers. In Nigeria, the electricity crisis and the need to reduce greenhouse gases spurred the development of renewable energy. Denmark has moved to wind power sources by increasing the share of renewable energy in the domestic electricity supply. The government encourages local ownership in the renewable energy sector, and many neighborhoods are connected to district heating systems that use renewable energy such as biomass. Increased investment in renewable energy technology will aid in addressing global energy concerns and hastening the transition to a low-carbon economy.

China-ASEAN Location Investment Decisions-Analysis from Enterprise Level

Since the 21st century, with China's reform and opening up, China has welcomed the rapid development and growth brought by the opening up of its economy, and China's investment strategy has slowly shifted to the international market. The trade and foreign direct investment between China and ASEAN have also received much attention in academia, with rich academic achievements in recent years. However, few studies have studied the impact factors and investment performance of enterprise heterogeneity on the location selection of direct foreign investment of Chinese enterprises from the perspective of micro-level enterprise data, with even fewer academic research focused on China-ASEAN studies. 
 
 Based on the above background, this paper will focus on the discussion and analysis of enterprise location investment decisions by taking enterprise heterogeneity factors and host country factors as cross-factors. First of all, this paper analyzes the various characteristics using the published data of China's investment in ASEAN from 2004 to 2013. In the empirical regression part of the paper, it combines the enterprise heterogeneity factors and the host country location factors into the Logit model to explore how the host country factors affect the investment decisions of enterprises in ASEAN. Therefore, this paper tests the grouping regression and corporate regulatory effect of the ten ASEAN countries, and finds that the corporate factor and the host country factor offset each other to a certain extent. This paper further expands the feasibility of the research on ASEAN location investment based on the theory of enterprise heterogeneity, and also provides a supplementary perspective for the relationship between enterprise heterogeneity and location selection strategy.

An Investment Decision Model for Underground Urban Utility Tunnel Based on MIVES and Real Option Theory from a Sustainable Perspective

Although the importance of urbanization, urban renewal and sustainable development have been increasingly recognized, with the accelerating process of urbanization, the urban above-ground space is no longer sufficient for the process of urbanization, and downward development of the city has become inevitable. Underground Urban Utility Tunnel (UUUT) is an effective measure to promote the sustainable development of urban underground space (UUS). However, decision makers still cannot fully consider the economic, social, environmental and technological factors, as well as the future risks of the project and the value of flexibility in management. In this paper, an investment decision model for UUUT is proposed that combines the Integrated Value Model for Sustainable Assessment (MIVES) and the real option theory, which comprehensively considers the social, economic, environmental and technological impacts, and assists the government in carrying out the investment decision analysis of UUUT from a sustainability perspective by applying the real option theory to the economic evaluation process. The primary process of this study can be divided into four steps. (1) establishment of the investment decision index system for UUUT; (2) determination of the quantitative criteria for each indicator; (3) calculation of the feasibility of UUUT; and (4) a case study to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed model, as well as the achieved results. The proposed investment decision model can be used as an auxiliary tool in the early planning stage of UUUT, and also for the comparison and selection of different options for UUUT.

Analysis of Stock Investment Decisions through Price Earnings Ratio (A Case Study on Construction Service Companies)

The objective of this study is to analyze investment decisions using the Price Earnings Ratio (P/E Ratio) approach. The sample companies for this study are construction service companies that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2021. This study combines descriptive and quantitative methods. The results indicated that PT. Waskita Karya Tbk., PT. Wijaya Karya Tbk., PT. Adhi Karya Tbk., and PT. Pembangunan Perumahan Tbk. are sequentially the company with the highest investment priority. This priority scale can be taken into account by investors when making investments.
