The purpose of this study is to develop a new type of pantyhose which is superior in the moisture absorption.In this paper, the end-use property was examined using eight kinds of trial pantyhose which differ in mixture ratio of cupro fiber and yarn structure respectively.The obtained results were summarized as follows : 1) The abrasion resistance and breaking strength changed according to the mixture ratio of cupro fiber . When twisted union yarns made of the cupro and nylon fibers were used as covering yarn, those properties decreased with increasing of the ratio. However, when the twisted union yarns were used as filament yarn of every other course in Kohhen type of pantyhose, the above-mentioned tendency did not recognized .2) The percentage of cupro fiber in yarns of the durable pantyhose (above-mentioned Kohhen type) was about 40%. The regain was about two times that of a commercial nylon pantyhose .3) This pantyhose was thin and had lower values in air permeability resistance, although denier of yarns used were relatively great. This pantyhose had lower values in plastic strain, higher in tensile recovery property, but had higher in extension resistance in course direction . Therefore, some attention must be paid to the designing in dimension.
