Pheromone traps were used to monitor the following tortricid moths, i.e. Adoxophyes orana, Archips podanus, A. rosanus, Hedya nubiferana, Pandemis heparana, Spilonota ocellana, Cydia pomonella, Cydia funebrana and Cydia molesta in the localities Brno-Tuřany (Brno-město), Nebovidy (Brno-venkov) and Prakšice (Uherské Hradiště). Other Lepidoptera non-target species were present in these target-species pheromone traps, i.e. Adoxophyes orana, Agrotis segetum, Amphipoea oculaea, Archips rosanus, Celypha striana, Cydia coronillana, Enarmonia formosana, Epiblema scutulanum, Epinotia huebneriana, Eucosma fervidana, Euxoa tritici, Hedya pruniana, H. nubiferana, Lymantria dispar, Noctua pronuba, Notocelia rosaecolana, N. roborana, Pammene albuginana, P. suspectana, Pandemis cerasana, Pyrausta rectefascialis, P. aurata, Spilonota ocellana, Yponomeuta malinellus and Zygaena purpuralis.

Monitoring Fitofag Lepidoptera in Cabbage Crops in Cluj Area

In Romania most of the damage to cabbage crops is done by snails and members of Lepidoptera family. We wanted to see also which member o Lepidoptera family is most present in cabbage crops. We have done some research, we’ve tested some methods to fight these pests without harming the environment. We have also studied and followed the biological cycle of one of the pests Mamestra brassicae L. We followed 5 members from Lepidoptera family (Mamestra brassicae L., Agrotis ipsilon Hufn., Plutella xylostella L., Autographa gamma I., Helicoverpa armingera Hbn) and concluded with what method is more effective and for which pest.

DESCRIPTION OF PACHNOBIA ORILLIANA

Both sexes of a species of Pachnobia have been collected by Mr. Geo Norman, at Orilla, which I propose to call by the name of orilliana. It is evidently allied to Agrotis hyperborea, which I know only from Milliére's and Herrich-Schaeffer's illustrations. It looks at first sight like a species of Graphiphora (Taeniocampa).All the tibiae are spinose. The head is sunken, eyes naked, abdomen short. The wings are wide, the male antennae shortly pectinate, serose. The color is not unlike that of Graph. incerta, but more olivaceous.
