Agile project management is an iterative approach that allows you to plan and guide project processes that require special speed and flexibility to achieve project success. It is for this reason that today professionals must master the basic concepts of this work as disciplinary or professionalizing competence. The objective of the study lies mainly in compiling recent research, including the last three years, in relation to Agile Software Project Management, its current situation and its application in practice. The study shows the implementation of the methodology proposed by Kitchenham for the systematic literature review (RSL) analyzing 40 scientific publications, concluding that the agile management of software projects allows efficient and effective management with the application of a standard o priority methodology and with the unavoidable use of software tools of specific use for it.

A Concept Note on Execution and Impact of Agile Software Project Management Methods in Midsized it Product Development Companies

Agile methods are very helpful in cost effective development of software, it will greatly benefit the organizations in IT field. Empirical data comparing the effectiveness and limitations of agile and non-agile approaches would greatly enhance our understanding of the true benefits and limitations of agile processes. In this study we will be analyzing traditional development methods its disadvantages and agile software development methods with its advantages' This research study will be helpful to IT companies for proper implementation of agile software methods and for maximization of profits while minimizing the cost and delivery time.

Results of agile project management implementation in software engineering companies

Agile project management methodologies, tools and techniques have been becoming more and more popular among Russian and foreign software companies. Though the agile software project management methodologies appear to be more flexible and sound alternative to traditional project management approaches, the practice of agile project management implementation needs more research. The article presents the research on the practical results of agile project management implementation in Russian software engineering companies. The survey-based study covers 8 companies and 35 their projects managed with the help of agile methodologies. In contrast to some optimistic researchers of agile practices, the research findings show that in the investigated projects agile project management led to the deterioration of cost and schedule performance. However, the quality, both perceived by clients and assessed by internal technical analysts, improved after the implementation of agile software project management practices.

Review of Effective Human Resource Management Techniques in Agile Software Project Management

Agile-driven human resource approaches are a departure from plan-driven traditional human resource management approaches. Moreover, research and surveys have shown that adopting agile human resource methodologies are an efficient way of excelling in agile software project management with significant advantages in production costs, time-to-market, complexity, and quality improvement over traditional human resource management methodologies. This paper reviews how effective human resource management techniques that can be applied to agile software project management core challenges. Drawing information from the literature issues like framework for agile organizational change and adoption strategies are examined. Data gathered from the organizations suggest that most of them are best suited in adopting new human resource management techniques. In a nutshell, human resource agility drives organizations to sustain a promising paradigm based on lessons learned towards going agile in software project management. Recently, relevant changes have made organizational boundaries more fluid and dynamic in response to the rapid pace of knowledge diffusion and innovation and international competition. This helps to reconsider how to succeed with informaiton technology (IT). The IT has moved beyond the implementation of IT applications to an age of IT-enabled change. The trend towards increasing use of IT continues and the challenge remains how to better manage IT projects in order to maximise their economic benefits. This paper presents a diagnostic use in traditional and agile software project management practices in Brazil. To be able to assess the use of such methodologies in the light of experience, multiple case studies were conducted in three Brazilian organizations, who claimed to manage their software projects adopting practices of both approaches. At the end of the survey, it was found that the project management software in Brazil is done by combining traditional and agile practices. The results were satisfactory, validating the present proposal.
