<p><em>Virus Sereve Acute Respirator Syndrome Corona Virus 2 (SARS COV-2) is a virus that is also caused by a corona virus which if exposed to this virus will cause a serious infection that has the potential to be life threatening. In various cases, it turns out that infection with the SARS COV-2 virus can have effects on several organs such as the lungs, heart, blood vessels, kidneys and liver. In this regard, some people think that the SARS COV-2 virus is a scary virus that makes people afraid to come to health services so that it has an impact on uncontrolled blood sugar and is prone to complications. To overcome the increase in mortality due to the SARS COV-2 virus with comorbidities with the help of artificial intelligence to build a knowledge-based system in the medical field for diagnosing SARS COV-2 with comorbidities using a combination of Case Based Reasoning and Certainty Factor methods. The Case Based Reasoning method is used as a rule to detect disease symptoms by diagnosing new cases based on old cases. While the Certainty Factor is used to increase the value of confidence and feasibility. The percentage of confidence value given by experts in order to get maximum results.</em></p>

Controversy or Consensus: Launching Small Modular Nuclear Reactors in Romania

Abstract The transition towards net zero by 2050 is underway in the European Union, but its country members are divided over their energy strategies. France, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and Romania support nuclear plants as contributing to carbon neutrality, while Germany, Spain, Denmark, Portugal, and Luxembourg oppose (Reuters, 2023). The study “Between Stability and Sustainability: Nuclear Energy in Romania's Energy Mix” concludes that Romania can benefit from its nuclear facilities and domestic uranium resources, to consolidate its sustainable energy policy. However, new nuclear capacities may pose considerable challenges, especially in terms of costs (Dumitrescu, 2023). Unfortunately, rising costs per megawatt hour are the very reason why NuScale, the operator chosen by Romania to deploy six small nuclear reactors by 2027, canceled their US-based flagship Carbon Free Power Project (Fortune, 2023). Nevertheless, the setback in the home country did not prevent Romanian authorities from licensing the NuScale small modular reactor power plant in Doicești (World Nuclear News, 2023). The watchdog Greenpeace warned about the project’s high costs and the long construction timeframe. It was also emphasized that Romania adopted a technology that had never been tested before. In addition, the location of the new plant had been decided without prior consultation from the local community, claimed the NGO (Greenpeace, 2022). According to the journalists, the local community has been divided between those who want new jobs and people afraid of radiations. Reporters made a parallel between the current situation and a formerly failed Chevron shale gas production investment, due to the strong opposition to fracking (Hotnews, 2024). According to Law Number 35 of 2009, narcotics are substances or drugs that come from plants or non-plants, whether synthetic or semi-synthetic, which can cause a decrease or change in consciousness, loss of sensation, reduce to eliminate pain, and can lead to addiction, which is classified into groups as attached in Law Number 35 of 2009. Narcotics abuse has become a very serious issue faced by various countries, both in developed and developing countries, and one of them is Indonesia. Indonesia, which initially served as a transit country for narcotics trade, has now been turned into a destination for operations, transactions, sales, and production by international narcotics networks. This is evidenced by the numerous fields containing marijuana plants and factories producing narcotics discovered by law enforcement agencies. The research method used is a normative juridical research type, in line with the author's intended purpose, the methodology in the design of the thesis research uses two approaches, namely the Statute Approach and the Conceptual Approach. The Statute Approach is an approach carried out by examining all laws with the concept of law. The research results show that the criminal law system against members of the police force involved in narcotics trafficking, the Criminal Code only recognizes a maximum criminal system. It must be acknowledged that the emergence of this special minimum criminal sanction aims to make people afraid to commit acts as formulated in the Psychotropic Law. Problems arise when, in a specific case, the judge feels that this special minimum criminal penalty is still very severe, and law enforcement imposes criminal sanctions specified in Law No. 35 of 2009 on members of the police force who abuse narcotics, also imposing administrative sanctions, which are sanctions imposed by the relevant institution, in accordance with the main task of the police force as stated in Article 13 letter b, namely enforcing the law. Therefore, every member of the police force is required to be able to investigate and prosecute any form of criminal activity, which would be contradictory if a member of the police force commits a criminal act, as the police force should be a role model for society in implementing the law and regulations in force.

Edukasi Kesehatan Pada Pemeriksaan Radiologi: Perspektif Pemeriksaan Radiografi Genu Dan Mammography Di Desa Tegorejo, Pegandon, Kendal, Provinsi Jawa Tengah

One way to diagnose disease can be done by radiological examination. However, the lack of public knowledge regarding radiological examinations to diagnose disease makes people afraid of carrying out radiological examinations because of the radiation effects they may receive. The aim of the service activities carried out for women in the scope of empowering family welfare in Tegorejo Village, Pegandon, Kendal, Central Java Province is regarding education on radiological examinations to enforce disease diagnoses using the lecture method. It is hoped that this can increase public knowledge regarding radiological examinations, especially regarding genu radiographic examinations to diagnose osteoarthritis and mammography examinations to diagnose mammary carcinoma are expected to help reduce people's fear of radiological examinations. From this service activity, the result was an increase in knowledge regarding genu radiography examination to diagnose osteoarthritis by 94% and an increase in knowledge regarding mammography examination to diagnose mammary carcinoma by 97%.

With the development of information technology and the internet, social media has replaced real social relations with virtual ones. However, virtual social relations carry risks, one of which is Cyberstalking (Rohman & Sugeng 2022) Cyberstalking is a dangerous cybercrime and targets many people, communities, and organizations (Baer, 2020) As a crime, cyberstalking fulfills the elements of a criminal act which results in disruption of social order (Wall, 2007). Thus, cyberstalking is contrary to Islamic principles because it creates an insecure atmosphere. This research is library research using library materials in the form of books, journals, magazines, and other library sources as study material (Sukmadinata, 2010). Researchers will use a descriptive qualitative approach. Cyberstalking is a term used to describe various behaviors that involve repeated threats and/or harassment using electronic mail or other computer-based communications that will make people afraid or concerned for their safety (Gopalan, R.T. 2020). In Islam, these actions are prohibited acts because they contain elements of harassment, threats, harassment, or coercion. In interacting, Islam puts forward the concept of "rahmatan lil alamin" which means being a source of mercy and benefit for all creation (Rouzi, K.S., Suud, F.M., & Chaer, M.T. 2021), emphasizing values such as tolerance, discipline, social care, responsibility answer, and love peace (Nasir, M.S., & Khalilurrahman 2022). In conclusion, cyberstalking is a form of harassment that violates Islamic principles and can cause harm to individuals and society.

Knowledge levels and attitudes of individuals regarding substance use disorder in Turkey

ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the level of knowledge, and attitude of society toward substance use disorder (SUD). Method In this cross-sectional study, a questionnaire form created by the researchers was completed by individuals over the age of 18 between June and July 2022. A total of 1365 individuals (684 women, 681 men) participated in the study. Results The mean age of the participants was 36.22 ± 10.47 years (min:18, max:75). A total of 19.2% did not consider addiction a medical disease, 37.4% thought that addiction was a moral failing, and 37.4% believed that addiction was a voluntary decision. 28.3% thought that only people with weak willpower will become addicted, 42.1% thought that trying substances would not lead to addiction, and 38.4% thought that substances can be quit without medical treatment. A total of 52.7% reported that they were afraid of people with addictions, 22.9% stated that they would not employ SUD patients in their workplace even if they had been treated. Only 36.8% of the participants had received any addiction-related training in their lifetime. Conclusion Our findings display that the level of knowledge about addiction in society in Turkey is low, and there is substantial stigmatization and negative views on people with addictions.

Impacts of household vulnerability on hurricane logistics evacuation under COVID-19: The case of U.S. Hampton Roads

Historical data suggest that when a severe tropical storm or hurricane impacts a community, the vulnerable segment of the population suffers the most severe consequences. With an increased aging population, it is crucial to understand how vulnerability alters evacuation behavior. Emergent variables such as fear of COVID-19 require additional exploration. People afraid of COVID-19 exposure may refuse to evacuate, exposing themselves unnecessarily. Differentiation is critical to evacuation logistics since it is needed to determine what proportion would stay in a local shelter, public or other, rather than evacuating or staying in their home and guide the logistics resource allocation process. This research uses data from a web and phone survey conducted in the Hampton Roads area of U.S. Virginia, with 2,200 valid responses to analyze the influence of social and demographic vulnerability factors and risk perception on evacuation decisions. This research contributes to the existing literature by developing a multinomial order logit model based on vulnerability factors and intended evacuation decisions, including staying at home, looking for a shelter, or leaving the Hampton Roads area. Findings show that race and risk perception are the variables that influence the decision-making process the most. Fear of COVID-19 transmission is also associated with an increased likelihood of leaving homes during evacuation. The variations in findings from previous studies are discussed regarding their implications for logistics emergency managers.

Differences in the psychological portrait of a sociopath, sociophobe and introvert

The relevance of the problem is the need to highlight specific differences in the psychological portraits of a sociopath, sociophobe and introvert to distinguish clearly between seemingly similar concepts. The purpose of the research is to detail the specific features of human mental states, to establish the differential characteristics of a sociopath, sociophobe and introvert, and to distinguish each of these states as a separate independent component of the human psyche. Statistical and analytical methods were used to obtain the necessary results. The main markers of sociophobic behaviour are considered, and it is noted that they can manifest themselves with varying intensity depending on the severity of the symptoms of sociophobia. The author presents a psychological portrait of a sociopath and defines the typology of sociopathy. The main features of an introverted personality are identified, the advantages that introverts have in comparison with extroverts and the main forms of their maladjustment are considered. The specific framework of each concept examined is highlighted, and the differences between them are indicated. It is substantiated that introversion appears in humans from birth and is associated with the specific structure of the brain, while sociopathy and sociophobia are acquired throughout life as a result of psychological and physiological trauma. It is identified that a sociophobe and a sociopath differ in psychological characteristics, as a sociophobe is afraid of people, and a sociopath hates people. It is proved that, unlike sociophobia and sociopathy, introversion is not a mental disorder, but an element of a healthy psyche. The practical significance of the research is that the results will help to distinguish the psychological states of a person, to understand and differentiate the analysed concepts more clearly, to preliminarily determine one’s psychological state, to establish a specific framework for a simplified psychologist’s conclusion, and to identify important details and features of the manifestations of a sociopath, sociophobe and introvert.

Determinants Of Muslim Intention In Yogyakarta To Pay ZIS Online During The Covid-19 Pandemic

The Covid-19 pandemic has become a period of crisis that has brought many changes to people's lifestyles. The Covid-19 pandemic makes people afraid of being infected by physical contact in every activity. Lack of research on this topic, so this study aims to find out how the determinants of people in Yogyakarta to pay zakat infaq and or alms online during the Covid-19 pandemic were modified based on previous research. This study examines data from 119 respondents with a sample of people living or domiciled in DI Yogyakarta, having income and being Muslim, and having paid zakat infaq and or alms online which was taken by random sampling which was then tested using SEM-PLS analysis with analytical tools. WarpPLS 7. The results of the analysis show that the perceived risk (PR) variable can affect all variables in the UTAUT 2 model to pay zakat, infaq, and sedekah or alms (ZIS) online, but cannot influence interest or behavioural intention. Then in the analysis to determine interest, the variables of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and price value cannot influence people's interest in paying zakat infaq and alms online, while facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation and habit can influence it.

Environmental Communication Based on Local Wisdom in Forest Conservation: A Study on Sentajo Forbidden Forest, Indonesia

Abstract This study aims to explore environmental communication based on local wisdom in conserving forests in the Kenegerian Sentajo, Riau Province, Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative approach with an interactive model. Researchers interact and are directly involved in many community activities. The results indicate that environmental communication in forest conservation is based on the local wisdom of the community by using the term Rimbo Larangan. The main communicators and actors are the customary holders, the datuk penghulu and the ninik-mamak (elders) as the highest institutional holders of Kenegerian Sentajo customs. This institution is more powerful than formal government institutions. These traditional stakeholders play an important role in spreading the message to maintain the existence of forbidden forest (Rimbo Larangan). In addition, the community’s desire to maintain customary values has given rise to attitudes and behaviors of people who are aware and care about forest sustainability. This is supported by Islamic values which have encouraged public awareness to have morals or responsibility towards the environment. Some beliefs, storytelling, and myths also reinforce this rule which makes people afraid to break it. The research findings can be used by the community in improving practices of communicating, managing, making rules and redesigning forest for conservation areas that are managed based on indigenous peoples.

AbstractAttempting to capitalize on the gains made during World War II, many labor liberals feared a resurgence of racism and anti-Semitism that threatened to derail prospects for increasing union influence and advancing democracy in the postwar period. To counter the threat of demagogic appeals to workers, Jewish labor organizations and their allies launched a multipronged campaign “to tell biased people that the climate of opinion was against them” and “make people afraid to express overtly their bigotry.” This campaign drew on the insights of an influential network of social scientists, intergroup relations professionals, union and faith community leaders, and labor educators determined to quash the potential rise of domestic fascism with the countervailing force of a powerful union movement and an activist government. In consultation with social scientists and experts on mass persuasion techniques, they recruited a talented group of creative artists to produce posters, cartoons, and comics aimed at bringing their message to a working-class audience. This article reviews the assumptions that guided the climate-of-opinion campaign; examines the imagery, language, and messages artists used in their attempts to counter prejudice among rank-and-file trade unionists; and assesses the impact of these efforts. The mixed results of these activities underscored the serious challenges faced by labor liberals seeking to change entrenched attitudes of racial privilege and supremacy within the unionized working class.

Community Health Center (Puskesmas) is the spearhead of health services in Indonesia that aims to provide health services evenly, integratedly, affordably and thoroughly. The use of health services during the COVID-19 pandemic makes people afraid to seek treatment so that there is a decrease in visits to health centers for treatment so that the utilization of health services becomes less optimal.to know the factors related to the utilization of health services in Puskesmas Kasihan 1 in the new normal era. This type of research is quantitative with cross sectional research design. The sample in this study was all outpatient units at Puskesmas Kasihan 1 Bantul Yogyakarta. Participants were recruited using accidental sampling techniques. The sample numbered 106 respondents. Data analysis used in this study is a multivariate analysis with logistic regression statistical tests.it was obtained that faktors related to the utilization of health services in the new normal era are age, gender, health insurance and disease history factors. The most related factor is the history of disease. A person who has a history of disease will routinely check themselves into the puskesmas kasihan 1 during the COVID-19 pandemic or during the adaptation of new habits (New Normal) while complying with health protocols. with a value of p = 0,000 (p<0,05) with an OR value of 55,692.
