The Expanding Medical and Behavioral Resources with Access to Care for Everyone (EMBRACE) (2) plan for single-system reform would not only accomplish these goals but also create an infrastructure that would allow the U.S. health care system to seamlessly integrate 21st-century technologies like electronic health information platforms and evidence-based practice guidelines (3).
