Development of School-Based Comprehensive Sexuality Education Module in Junior High School

Adolescent's sexual changes without being accompanied by the proper arrangements can make young people caught in risky sexual behavior which affects their future. Various challenges in giving sex instruction encourage the realization of comprehensive school-based sexuality education that's compelling in avoiding risky sexual behavior in adolescents. The objectives of this study are (1) Development of comprehensive school-based sex education using the ADDIE model. (2) Validation of a comprehensive school-based sex education module. The research method is research and development using the ADDIE model. A questionnaire served as the instrument. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that (1) the module design and development process followed five steps of the ADDIE model as follows: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. (2) Based on the content expert validation, the module was suitable for use with improvements. There were some comments given by experts about the module. The average of student's questionnaires fell into the good category.

Hubungan Teman Sebaya dan Religiusitas dengan Perilaku Seksual Beresiko pada Remaja

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between peers and religiosity with risky sexual behavior in adolescents. The research design is a cross sectional study with simple random sampling technique. This research was carried out at the Al-Kautsar Muhammadiyah Sarilamak Modern Islamic Boarding School. The sample consisted of 70 people, data collection in this study was by questionnaire, data analysis was univariate and bivariate analysis. The research that has been carried out shows that there is a significant relationship between peers and religiosity and risky sexual behavior. This means that there is a significant relationship between peers and religiosity and risky sexual behavior in adolescents. The greater the influence of peers and religiosity, the less risky sexual behavior tends to be in adolescents.

Kualitas Komunikasi Keluarga terhadap Pencegahan Perilaku Seksual Berisiko pada Remaja

Risky sexual behavior is a big problem for adolescents and a challenge for parents in taking care of their adolescents. Efforts can be made to prevent the problem of risky sexual behavior by improving the quality of family communication at home. Communication is important so that adolescents are more open and close to their parents, so they can avoid negative behavior The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the quality of family communication and the prevention of risky sexual behavior in adolescents. The type of research is descriptive-analytic with cross-sectional design. The population in this study was 124 people with a total research sample of 61 people taken using random sampling technique. The test was conducted with SPSS using the Pearson correlation test. The results show that there is a relationship between the quality of family communication and the prevention of adolescent risky sexual behavior, P-Value 0.04. Further research needs to be done by paying attention to nursing interventions that can support the improvement of family communication towards adolescents so that efforts to prevent risky sexual behavior in adolescents increase.

How's Knowledge, Attitudes, Family Roles, and Source of Information as Risky on Premarital Sex Behavior?

Risky sexual behavior in adolescents has been identified as being unsafe without legal marriage ties and may lead to various health problems. This integrative review aimed to identify and discuss the determinants of factors related to premarital sex behavior in adolescents. The evaluation was carried out in 14 studies that met the inclusion criteria. The factors evaluated consist of knowledge, attitudes, family roles, and individual information sources. This systematic review study used the PRISMA protocol with several databases, including CINAHL, DOAJ, Scopus, Garuda, Google Scholar, and PUBMED in the 2015-2020 year of publication. It found that there was a significant relationship among those four factors, which is knowledge, attitudes, family roles, and sources of information on premarital sex behavior in adolescents. The conclusion of this study it is strongly recommends that promoting healthy premarital sex behavior can be reached by utilizing education promotion strategies for adults, the quality of family parenting, and a smart use of technology.

Prevention of risky sexual behavior in primary healthcare: a best practice implementation project.

Sexually transmitted infections are a public health problem affecting 45% of adolescents and young adults worldwide. The evidence suggests that primary care settings are uniquely positioned to provide an opportunity for these preventive interventions. The aim of this project is to improve nurses' interventions for preventing risky sexual behaviors in adolescents attending nursing consultations in a primary healthcare unit. An audit and feedback were conducted by the JBI Model and Implementation Framework. Five audit criteria representing best practice recommendations for preventing risky sexual behaviors in adolescents were used. Barriers to compliance with the best practices were identified, and strategies were adopted to overcome them. A follow-up audit was conducted using the same approach as the baseline audit. Compliance rates improved in four criteria from baseline audit to follow-up audit. Through auditing and feedback, evidence-based interventions were implemented to prevent sexual risk behavior in adolescents in primary care settings. Further best practice implementation projects should be conducted to improve adolescent health outcomes.

The Adolescent’s sexual behavior and its correlates: A Systematic Review

Abstract
 
 Adolescents aged 13-15 years are a group vulnerable to risky sexual behavior. Many studies have been conducted to find the factors that influence it. This paper aims to analyze scientific evidence of factors that influence adolescent sexual behavior from various research results. The study design was a literature review on the adolescent population. Researchers conducted a literature search from empirical studies spanning the years 2017-2022 identified through the Scopus, Ebscohost, Science direct, Sage, Proquest, Springer Link and Google Scholar databases. The initial search found 8399 articles, which were narrowed down to 14 articles through inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. The study includes research with various quantitative and qualitative designs taken from several countries. The data were analyzed using a qualitative synthesis approach. The results of the analysis show that there are many factors related to risky sexual behavior in adolescents. These factors are grouped into 4 major groups. Interpersonal factors (the role of peers), social environmental factors (economic activities, tourist interests, social norms,), individual factors (biological responses, ignorance, knowledge, lack of information, religious understanding, attitudes, self-esteem, motivation, use of social media), family factors (social economy, closeness of parents, communication between parents and children).

Overview of Risky Sexual Behaviour Among Teenagers in Bajera Village, Selemadeg District, Tabanan Regency, Bali, 2022

Teenagers' dating style at this time tends to be risky, for example by kissing, touching sensitive parts, until some have had a relationship like husband and wife. This incident is inseparable from the sociodemographic characteristics of the adolescents themselves which include age, gender, education level, family roles, peers roles, and exposure to pornographic media. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of risky sexual behavior in adolescents in Bajera Village, Selemadeg District, Tabanan Regency Bali in 2022. This study was a descriptive study with cluster random sampling as a sample in Banjar Dinas Bajera Jero. The research sample was 99 people using google form. Adolescent characteristics were assessed by univariate technique including risky sexual behavior. Data processing is done with a computerized system. The results showed that the risky sexual behavior of adolescents in Bajera Village was in the less category as many as 86 (86.87%) respondents. For the sociodemographic characteristics of adolescents in the form of the highest age at the end of 63 (63.64%), the highest gender was in women 57 (57.58%), the highest education level was in SMA / equivalent 45 (45.46%), the highest family role was in good category 49 (49.50%), the highest peer role in the less category 79 (79.80%), and internet media as the pornographic media of choice the most.

Perbadingan Faktor Resiko Perilaku Seksual Beresiko Remaja Pedesaan dan Perkotaan di Indonesia

This study aims to analyze the comparison of risk factors for risky sexual behavior in rural and urban adolescents. The method used is Literature Review using the request database, Springer Link and Google Scholar. The results of the study, there were six articles that were analyzed and provided an overview of the risk factors for risky sexual behavior in adolescents in rural and urban areas. The risky sexual behavior of female adolescents in urban areas who have had sexual intercourse is higher than in rural areas, but male adolescents are higher in rural areas than in urban areas. Peer factors are also a trigger for risky sexual behavior in adolescents in rural and urban areas. Lifestyle factors such as drinking alcohol and using narcotics in rural areas are more associated with lifestyles of drinking alcohol and smoking than adolescents in urban areas, while consuming illegal drugs is the most common thing in urban areas. The information exposure factor in rural areas is still very low compared to urban areas. In conclusion, there are several factors that influence adolescents in rural and urban areas to engage in risky sexual behavior including; gender, peer factors, the presence of parents and community figures and lifestyle.

A model of self-regulation in preventing risk sexual behavior among adolescents

The inability to control themselves causes adolescents to have low self- regulation and causes engage in risky sexual behavior which can cause serious problems such as sexually transmitted diseases, disability, and death. This study aims to develop a self-regulation model based on the theory of planned behavior to prevent risky sexual behavior in adolescents. Explanatory observation with a cross-sectional approach to 140 adolescents in four high schools/vocational schools selected using a convinience sampling. Data collection used questionnaires, focus group discussion (FGD), and expert discussions. Data analysis using partial least square. The development of a self-regulation model based on the theory of planned behavior toward preventing risky sexual behavior in adolescents has the best path, namely the path from background factors (X1) to subjective norms (X3) to personal regulation (X6) and behavioral self-regulation (Y1). The direct effect shows that intention (X4) has a direct effect on self-regulation (Y1). Intention is an important domain for forming a behavior through attitudes, subjective norms, and behavioral control so that self-regulation will be formed to prevent risky sexual behavior in adolescents. Adolescents should be given the training to improve self-regulation to be able to take action to prevent risky sexual behavior.

Risky sexual behavior and associated factors among in-school adolescents: a school-based, cross-sectional study

Despite increased sexual education, secondary school students in Nigeria are still engaging in risky sexual behavior. This may be due to various social, psychological, and physical factors. The study looked at how family structure, peer pressure, and self-esteem affected the likelihood that adolescents in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, would engage in risky sexual behavior. For this study, a descriptive research design using correlational data was adopted. The study adopted the purposive sampling method in selecting 200 in-school adolescents. Valid and standardized instruments including risky sexual behavior rating scale (α=0.758), peer pressure scale (α=0.714), self-esteem scale (α=0.826) and family structure scale (α=0.827) were used for information gathering. Three research questions were raised and answered.
 Data collected was analyzed using simple percentages, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple regression statistical method at the 0.05 level of significance. Findings revealed that risky sexual behavior of secondary school students is significantly correlated with peer pressure (r=.594; p<.05), self-esteem (r=.605; p<.05), and family structure (r=.521; p<.05). The value of R=.783 and adjusted R2=.613 were observed. The analysis of variance, performed on the multiple regressions, yielded an F-ratio value of 98.056. In terms of the magnitude of contribution, self-esteem made the most significant contribution (β=.509; t=8.647; p<0.05) to the prediction, followed by peer pressure (β=.342; t=3.545; p<0.05) and family structure (β=.223; t=1.348; p<0.05).
 Based on these findings, it was concluded, that peer pressure, self-esteem, and family structure influence risky sexual behavior of adolescents. It is therefore recommended, that students’ sense of self is very important and should be improved and also that students should be guided, particularly in meeting different categories of people in the school setting, such as peers, teachers, and others with varying degrees of sexual attitudes because it affects the students’ sexual behaviors.

SEXUAL BEHAVIOR DETERMINANT FACTOR IN ADOLESCENTS IN KEBAYORAN LAMA SELATAN VILLAGE IN 2020

Future threats are posed by the high prevalence of risky sexual behavior in adolescents. The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing sexual behavior among adolescents in Kelurahan Kebayoran Lama Selatan in 2020. The research study design used a cross-sectional with a total sample of 194 respondents. The sampling technique was snowball sampling and the analysis used was descriptive. It shows that half of all adolescents have risky behavior, namely 165 people (85.1%), but a quarter of them have non-risk behavior (14.9%). The distribution of majority of respondents has peer influence 25.3%, more information sources in watching pornography on friends 43.3%, internet mass media that is often seen 36.6%, the frequency of pornography in the category is sometimes 39.7%, partner pornography when alone 24.2% and their lover/girlfriend 17.5%, the reasons for watching pornography were 28.4% of curiosity and 16.0% of sexual desire, and the role of good parents in educating children 95.4%. Sexual behavior in adolescents in Kebayoran Lama Selatan Village shows that there are still many teenagers who engage in risky sexual behavior. This research is expected to facilitate the needs of adolescents so that they can channel their energy and make good use of their free time.

Pengaruh Sosial Ekonomi Pada Perempuan Terhadap Pernikahan Dini (Studi di Kecamatan Pemayung, Batanghari)

The aim of the study was to analyze the socio-economic influences on the occurrence of early marriage and the causes of young women marrying early in Pemayung District, Batanghari Regency, Jambi Province. This research is a mixed research type (mix method), namely presenting quantitative data as the main data by using multivariate statistical analysis of multiple logistic regression while qualitative data by conducting interviews and documentation. The research sample was 80 girls aged <19 years and 80 girls >20 years with a ratio of 1:1. The research variables were the age of mother's first marriage, mother's education, father's education, teenage girls' education and parents' income. Data were analyzed using multiple logistic regression. Factors that influence the occurrence of early marriage are the education of young women (P-Value 0.000; OR 30.429; 95% CI = 7.057-131.199), father's education (P-Value 0.004; 0.367; 95% CI = 0.186-0.727) and parents' income ( P-Value = 0.000; OR 5.707; 95% CI = 529-20.373) means that the factor that most influences the occurrence of early marriage is the education of young women. It is known that the education of adolescents in the low category is 30 times the risk of experiencing early marriage. The results of the in-depth interviews also found another reason why young women marry early because of unwanted pregnancies and risky sexual behavior in adolescents. Efforts can be made by providing economic strengthening programs to poor families who are at risk of early marriage so as to increase access to schooling for young women and increase access to services and education on reproductive health for adolescents and their parents.

Relationship Between Alcohol Consumption and Risky Sexual Behaviors Among Adolescents and Young Adults: A Meta-Analysis.

Objectives: Adolescents exposed to alcohol have increased risky sexual behaviors (RSBs); however, the association between alcohol consumption and RSBs has to be systematically and quantitatively reviewed. We conducted a meta-analysis of the literature to systematically and quantitatively review the association between alcohol consumption and RSBs in adolescents and young adults. Methods: We searched for qualified articles published from 2000 to 2020 and calculated pooled odds ratios (ORs) using the random-effect model. We also conducted meta-regression and sensitivity analyses to identify potential heterogeneity moderators. Results: The meta-analysis of 50 studies involving 465,595 adolescents and young adults indicated that alcohol consumption was significantly associated with early sexual initiation (OR = 1.958, 95% confidence interval (CI) = 1.635-2.346), inconsistent condom use (OR = 1.228, 95% CI = 1.114-1.354), and having multiple sexual partners (OR = 1.722, 95% CI = 1.525-1.945). Conclusion: Alcohol consumption is strongly associated with RSBs, including early sexual initiation, inconsistent condom use, and multiple sexual partners among adolescents and young adults. To prevent the adverse consequences of alcohol consumption, drinking prevention programs should be initiated at an early age and supported by homes, schools, and communities.

A Comparative Case Study of the Implementation of a Digital App-Based Platform Aimed at Reducing Sexual Risk in Adolescents and Young Adults

Risky sexual behaviors in adolescents and young adults often result in negative outcomes, such as sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unwanted pregnancies. This case study compares the experience of implementing a digital app-based platform aimed at reducing adolescent sexual risk behavior in a rural medical clinic and a university-based mental health clinic in an effort to better understand how the cliexa-OPTIONS mobile app can inform care and enhance the overall quality of treatment in very different clinical health settings. Clinicians in charge of the implementation of the digital app report that it opens up more transparent discussions with patients/clients, allowing them to provide better care in both medical and mental health settings. The differences in context provide different demographic-related challenges at the two sites. Challenges in online recruitment and workflow were evident only at the university-based mental health clinic as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Implementers at both sites indicated a highly positive overall experience with cliexa-OPTIONS and a desire to use the digital app in the future. Patient/client satisfaction surveys indicate that patients/clients enjoy using the digital app and find it easy to use.

Perilaku Seksual Berisiko Pada Remaja di Kabupaten Banyumas

Background: Risky sexual behavior that is generally carried out by adolescents is an activity that is often carried out when dating, namely holding hands, kissing, and petting and having sex while dating. The increasing percentage of teenagers who have had premarital sex will also increase the negative impacts that can occur, such as teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, to social impacts in society. Aim:The purpose of this study was to identify risky sexual behavior in adolescents in Banyumas Regency. Methods: This research is a quantitative research with cross sectional research design. The sample of this research is junior high school, high school and vocational school students who attend school in Banyumas Regency. The sampling technique with probability stratified random sampling has been used and obtained 452 respondents. Results: The result show the respondents with risky sexuality were 251 respondents (55.5%). It is known that 231 teenagers with unsafe risky sexual behavior (51.1%) and 20 teenagers with unsafe behavior (4.4%). Most (251 respondents) have held hands with their partners (68.13%), hugged their partners' bodies (49.40%), masturbated (34.66%) and hugged their partners (27.09%). Conclusion: The high percentage of adolescents who have had premarital sexual intercourse will also increase the adverse effects that can occur, such as teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, to social impacts in society.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ADOLESCENT KNOWLEDGE AND THE ROLE OF PARENTS WITH ADOLESCENT RISKY SEXUAL BEHAVIOR IN BATUROTOK VILLAGE, SUMBAWA REGENCY

Abstract BACKGROUND : These days teenagers relationship and dating styles tend to be risky and negative. The results of a preliminary studies showed that several teenagers conveyed their dating pattern, usually holding hands and hugging at school. It was known that not much reproductive health education given to students due to the meager condition of schools and villages. Based on data obtained from the local civil registry office, 30% of the 66 brides who registered marriages in 2020 were a teenagers. Meanwhile, there were data obtained from the Public Health Center showed that 18% by total 28 pregnant women who came for a general check up were a middle and late teens. In addition, the health worker in the village explained that in the last two years there have been several cases of teenagers being exposed to sexually transmitted infections, as well as unwanted pregnancies, some of that case was the result of abused by their parents. The purpose of this research was to analyze the relationship between adolescent knowledge and the role of parents with risky sexual behavior in adolescents in baturotok village, Sumbawa Regency. METHOD : the design of this research is using a cross sectional with a simple random sampling. The ammount of the sample used is this research are 100 respondents. I spread the questionnaire directly accross the students of this school. The independent variables of this research are adolescents knowledge and parents. And the dependent variable of this research is risky sexual behaviour. This research is using Spearman rho statistical correlation analysis in SPSS 21.0 for windows. RESULT : The result of this research indicate that there was a correlation between adolescent knowledge toward a risky sexual behavior(p=0,000, rs=0,681). There was no significant relationship between parents role and risky sexual behavior in Baturotok Village, Sumbawa Regency (p=0,551, rs=-0,060). CONCLUSION : The higher level of adolescent knowledge, would tends the sexual behavior to be low risk and not risky. While the role of parents does not have a significant on the risky sexual behavior of a adolescents in Baturotok village, Sumbawa Regency.

Relations Between Adolescent Sensation Seeking and Risky Sexual Behaviors Across Sex, Race, and Age: A Meta-Analysis.

Sensation seeking (SS)-the seeking of novel and intense sensations or experiences and the willingness to take risks for the sake of such experiences-has been shown to be related to various risky sexual behaviors (RSBs) in areas such as multiple sexual partners, condom use, and sexual initiation. The aims of the current meta-analysis were to examine (1) how SS relates to specific RSBs in adolescents and (2) how the overall relationship between SS and RSB differs across sex, race, and age. Overall, a total of 40 studies met the inclusion criteria for our meta-analysis examining the relationship between SS and RSB, contributing 102 effect sizes. RSB variables included unprotected sex; multiple sexual partners; hazardous sexual activity; sexual initiation; virginity status; and history of sexually transmitted disease (STD) diagnosis. Moderating effects of sex, race, and age were also examined. The overall mean effect size of the correlational relationship between adolescent SS and RSB was statistically significant, as were the mean effect sizes of the relationships between SS and RSB subgroups, except for history of STD diagnosis. Race and age did not significantly moderate the overall relationship between SS and RSB; however, results indicated that SS and RSB relations were stronger in females compared to males. Our findings suggest that adolescents with elevations in SS tendencies tend to engage in more RSBs compared to their peers with lower levels of SS, increasing their risk of unplanned pregnancy and STD acquisition.

Risk-taking behavior and biopsychosocial theory for predicting risky sexual behavior of adolescents in Islamic Boarding Schools

Background: Risky sexual behavior in adolescents occurs in several cities in Indonesia, including in students in Islamic boarding schools. The phenomenon of risky sexual behavior is found in adolescents in Islamic boarding schools. This study aimed to analyze the factors that influence risky sexual behavior on a biopsychosocial basis. Method: This study used a cross-sectional observational analytical design, explaining the relationship between variables through hypothesis testing. The samples of this study were adolescents from Islamic Boarding Schools in Probolinggo. A total of 346 adolescents were selected by multistage random sampling. Data were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) test. Results: The results showed that the independent variables contributed 43.8% to risky sexual behavior, and the model had a good fit. There is a significant relationship between biological maturation, self-perceptions, perception of social and spiritual, and perceptions of sexual on risky sexual behavior. Conclusion: The results of this study revealed that the model of risky sexual behavior viewed from risk-taking behavior and biopsychosocial theory could be used as a theoretical basis for carrying out activities related to health-promotive and preventive actions for adolescents, which focus on individual, family and peer group factors.

ANALIYSIS OF SEXUAL RISKY FACTORS FOR ADOLESCENTS IN THE KOTO TINGGI HEALTH CENTER IN LIMA PULUH KOTA 2020

Risk sexual behavior will increase the chance of someone who does it bring unwanted consequences such as pregnancy outside marriage / unwanted pregnancy, acts of abortion, dropping out of school, psychosocial disorders, sexually transmitted diseases and being infected with HIV / AIDS. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors associated with risky sexual behavior in adolescents in the working area of the Koto Tinggi Health Center in Lima Puluh Kota 2019,The method used is a quantitative research method of analytic study using a cross sectional approach, the sampling technique using proportional stratified random sampling of 196 respondents. Data collection tool uses a questionnaire. Data analysis used chi square test and multiple logistic regression. The result of the statistical test shows that there is a relationship between age, knowledge, the role of peers, access to information, family roles, lifestyle, religious understanding of risky sexual behavior, and there is no relationship between the role of school and sex on risky sexual behavior of adolescents in the work area Koto Tinggi Health Center in Lima Puluh Kota 2019. The results showed that the most dominant factor influencing risky sexual behavior was access to information. It is expected that the Ministry of Health, schools and the BKKBN can implement the Youth Care Health Services Program optimally.
