Customs are powerful environmental determinants that shape and separate one group from many others, often taking generations to evolve. When it comes to academia, it is no different. From the founding of the first universities to our present day, there have been two major components of academic morality that have undergone significant changes: academic institutionalism and academic dissemination of knowledge and skills. It can be difficult to adjust to such changes, especially when certain practices once served our predecessors well but their time has passed. However, with the right mindset and an openness to learning from the past and improving on it, we can ensure that our next colleagues will make the most of what their predecessors have left behind and take their knowledge and skills to the next level.

PEMAHAMAN KASIH KARUNIA BERDASARKAN ROMA 3:23-24 DALAM INTEGRITAS AKADEMIK MAHASISWA STIPAK MALANG TAHUN AJARAN 2021/2022

Romans 3:23-24 says that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” This verse explains that all people are sinners by nature, and had indeed sinned, and had fallen short of the glory of God. Then, academic integrity is behavior that is honest, fair, and fulfills academic morals carried out by someone. The purpose of this study was to determine the understanding of grace of STIPAK Malang students in semester VIII of the academic year 2021/2022 based on Romans 3:23-24, academic integrity of STIPAK Malang students in semester VIII of the academic year 2021/2022, and understanding of grace based on Romans 3:23- 24 in the academic integrity of STIPAK Malang students in semester VIII of the 2021/2022 academic year. The research method used in this research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The results of the research are that the understanding of STIPAK Malang students for the 2021/2022 academic year about grace based on Romans 3:23-24 has not been fully implemented in academic integrity, but is still being tried to be applied. The advice given by researchers to STIPAK Malang students for the 2021/2022 academic year is to have academic integrity because they already understand grace and are also prospective PAK teachers.

Research on the Construction of Postgraduate Academic Morality

The construction of postgraduate academic morality is a problem that all postgraduates must face. There are some problems in the construction of postgraduate academic morality, such as insufficient academic integrity, insufficient academic norms and insufficient academic spirit. After analyzing the reasons of academic morality, academic evaluation, academic supervision and academic self-discipline, the academic morality of postgraduates is promoted to develop deeper, broader and more comprehensive. We must strengthen moral education, improve the evaluation system, strengthen moral supervision, cultivate moral self-discipline, and strictly punish the system to improve the academic moral level of graduate students.

The Academic Demoralization of Students in Online Learning During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Academic moralization, which has been internalized through educational institutions with teacher supervision at schools, now falls into a decline in line with the implementation of distance education due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. This article aims to show that an educational system that does not offer in-person teaching leads to students ignoring the values of academic morality, such as plagiarism, discipline, and responsibility. This article employs a qualitative descriptive method by relying on online news mapping data as a secondary source and verified data from interviews with elementary school students as the primary source. The results of this study indicate that online education as a learning solution during the pandemic has caused students to plagiarize, cheat, rely on others to complete their tasks, and lose an overall sense of discipline and responsibility. This study suggests a new direction of moral education that does not only rely on teacher supervision but rather builds the wisdom of students' independence upon learning.

Pendekatan Agama Membaharui Kondisi Psikologis Siswa Terindikasi Nomophobia

The development of technology communication in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has become epidemic and has not only given a negative impact on youth communities in big cities but also to all residents in the Indonesian regions. When communication technology began to develop in Indonesia, it was assumed not to be considered as causing problems in academic values, morals, and student faith, so teachers and spiritual counselors did not feel the need to anticipate. Nowadays, dependence on cellphones facilitating digital communication and online games become difficult to overcome and has develops nomophobia. Based on the WHO reference, the Indonesian government has declared that since 2018 the addiction to online games has enters the category of psychiatric disorders. This research is an attempt to find a solution to overcome the disorders, so that questions about psychological conditions of students indicated with nomophobia can be renewed through religious approaches. Religion has a basic function where its essence be able to direct views or orientation, motivate and help humans tobehave properly according to their beliefs. Results of this study are expected benefiting teachers and observers of Education in the era of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution in overcoming the problem of nomophobia which can seize the human health.

A transcription of a 2019 conversation with Duke historian E. Roy Weintraub on his intellectual development over the 1980s from mathematician to economist to historian. The conversation also explored Weintraub’s early and continuing attempts to forge new ways to study the history of contemporary economics, and the role of science studies in providing a natural language for such explorations. The interview will be translated by Giraud and published in French in the journal Zilsel: Science, technique, societe.

The construction of evaluation system for academic medical doctoral dissertation

Objective To explore and establish a kind of dissertation evaluation system which can fully reflects the characteristics of academic medical doctoral training. Methods 41 medical doctoral dis-sertation evaluation systems and related literatures were collected, to get the current situation of this disser-tation evaluation system in our country and find the key points of various evaluation systems. A question-naire survey was conducted among 350 doctoral supervisors coming from 6 universities so as to define the framework and connotation of evaluation indicators. Using the Delphi expert consultation method, the con-notation of evaluation indicators and composition as well as the weight of various indicators was improved. Results The doctoral supervisors who participated in the research considered that building the disserta-tion e-valuation system should follow the principle of science, innovation and fairness, and the evaluation frame-work should have secondary index and evaluation elements. The evaluation contents concluded choosing topic, literature review, basic theory and professional knowledge, paper writing, innovation, re-search ability and academic morals and so on. And on the basis of this, the paper explored and developed a more scientific and comparative dissertation quality evaluation system with medical specialty. Conclusion The cultivation u-nits should take the educational goal of evaluation target and the requirements of awarding degree into consideration, seeking opinions fully to the first-line supervisors and combing quantitative and qualitative evalu-ation effectively with scientific and operable principles when specifying evaluation system. Most studies on tropical conservation questions are conducted by researchers of developed countries from the north. This geographic disconnection was recently criticised by Mammides et al. Here, we reflect on their findings and add further views from scientist’s and journal editor’s perspectives. We argue that journals are, a priori, most strongly interested in research questions and approaches that will likely increase their scientific impact and prestige. This is rarely compatible with publishing articles on questions with restricted global impact or based on single taxa. We question whether small changes in the editorial policy of international conservation journals will considerably improve the geographic diversity in key conservation publications. Rather, thematic scopes of the leading conservation journals should be modified, preferably in close collaboration with leading conservationists from the south. We are convinced that long-term investments in the tropics will create a stronger local scientific community, thus bolstering academic morale, and finally may lead to an increase in the submission and acceptance rate of articles written from scientists from these regions.

Effective measures to strengthen the honesty and credit education for postgraduates in scientif-ic research platform

Molecular medicine and cancer research center in Chongqing Medical University adhered to academic honesty and credit education, established original laboratory records system, regularly carried out seminar and improved paper submission program thus to reject academic miscon- ducts from the source, guarantee the authenticity of the data and improve the academic moral level of postgraduates. On the basis of experimental records standardization, 3 level inspection system including tutors, departments and graduate school plays a very important role in setting up the good habit, getting more reliable experimental results and preventing the happening of misconduct in scientific research. To strengthen the academic morality standard for promoting the further development of ophthalmology

It is imperative and urgent to strength the academic ethic construction in ophthalmology in China. In the rapid development of ophthalmology in recent years, there exit some manifests of academic ethic anomy and unhealthy climate. We should adopt some effective measures to standardize the academic behavior, and clean and create the favourable academic behavior, in order to promote the academic activities in ophthalmology. The rule on the academic ethic standard by Chinese Ophthalmological Society published in this journal is an important measure for strengthening the academic ethic construction in ophthalmology, and deserve to be noted and practiced by all of ophthalmologists and visual researchers.

Academic Loyalties and Professional Disobedience

ABSTRACT A conflict of duties would be a relation of duties in which one of them would annul the other (wholly or in part). But a conflict of duties and obligations is inconceivable Immanuel Kant, 1785 In this paper the issue of academic morality is raised in the context of real challenges to academic integrity, such as the application of invalid standard subject evaluations. In particular, five spheres of academic loyalties are postulated. The paper touches on a number of traditional moral positions and assesses them in regard to satisfying the demands of an academic ethics; that is, for their effectiveness in providing an adequate framework for the resolution of conflicts of duty. These positions are found to be wanting in scope or particular applications. The paper concludes by suggesting that the ethical foundations of academic conduct are not obvious and, thus, universities are vulnerable to external social forces which may vitiate their traditional role–the pursuit and promulgation of truth.
