The Effect of the Rumah Belajar Portal on Critical Thinking Skills of High School Students

In physics education, teachers and students have not fully utilized instructional media that can support critical thinking skills. This research aims to investigate the influence of the Home Learning Portal on the critical thinking abilities of high school students. The population of this study consists of eleventh-grade students at State Senior High School 3 Banda Aceh. The sample includes two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class, with 37 students in each class. The sample selection was conducted through simple random sampling. The research adopts a quantitative approach with an experimental research design. Data collection involves the use of test questions (pretest and posttest). Data analysis includes normality and homogeneity tests as prerequisites, and a t-test for statistical analysis. The critical thinking ability data are obtained from the percentage of indicator achievement. The results of the data analysis indicate that the obtained data are normally distributed and homogeneous. Furthermore, the t-test results show a higher score in the experimental class compared to the control class, with a calculated t-value of 4.191 the tabulated t-value of 1.666. This means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, concluding that there is an influence of the Home Learning Portal on the critical thinking abilities of high school students. The improvement in students' critical thinking skills is evident, with the highest average score observed in the experimental class, particularly in the conclusion indicator, at 89.19% categorized as very good.

Analysis of Critical Thinking Ability of High School Students in Sleman Regency on Virus Material

The benefits obtained if someone think critically is to make students active and effective in life, they can also develop understanding, evaluate different insights, develop problem solving skills so that later students have the ability to analyze further. The purpose of this analysis is to describe the critical thinking abilities of students in Sleman Regency. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method using an essay with 5 questions referring to indicators of critical thinking. Apart from that, the population in this analysis is all state high schools in Sleman Regency with a purposive random sampling technique of 9 schools, totaling 258 students. The results of the research show that students' critical thinking abilities are in the low category, so it is hoped that innovation will be needed in the form of developing methods, media, strategies and learning models that support students' 21st century abilities, especially in the aspect of critical thinking abilities.

KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR REFLEKTIF FISIKA PESERTA DIDIK SMA SE-KOTA MAKASSAR

This research aims to determine the physics reflective thinking abilities of high school students in Makassar City. Reflective thinking is one of the characteristics of formal operational thinking. The sample was class XII students from each of the four schools, namely SMA Negeri 6 Makassar, SMA Negeri 8 Makassar, SMA Negeri 9 Makassar, dan SMA Negeri 18 Makassar totalling 159 students. The research data was obtained by giving a 10-item essay test. The analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results show that the average obtained by high school students in Makassar City is 9,61 and is in the low category. Based on the results of the analysis and interviews that have been conducted, the low ability of students' reflective thinking cannot be separated from various factors that influence it, such as students still solving problems directly, students considering physics to be a difficult subject and memorizing a lot of formulas so that students are less interested in learning physics, and Students still make mistakes in answering questions when given the opportunity to correct their answers.

Development of Cognitive Abilities of high School Students by means of Psychological Training

The main problem: the article examines the development of cognitive abilities of high school students by conducting a theoretical analysis of philosophical, pedagogical, psychological, scientific and methodological works and current directions of its development. Improving the educational process in secondary educational institutions and developing the cognitive abilities of high school students is an urgent problem. Therefore, the task arises of developing the thinking and activity of high school students while studying in secondary educational institutions, teaching them to use their knowledge and skills in new life situations. The implementation of these tasks makes it urgent to search for ways and forms of organizing the educational process, which will contribute to the formation of the skills to plan and organize the cognitive activity of high school students. Purpose: to substantiate the general logical coordinates and methods of reformatting various humanitarian paradigms used in action. Methods: ontological principle of logic with genetic content, method of transforming specific images of objects based on their abstract meaning, method of transition from abstract to concrete language, language of thinking of schematic images of thought and language of methodological theory. activities. Currently, such an update represents a transition to the methods and tools of active learning technology as a means of continuous development of science and school practice, the use of which in most cases helps to increase the interest and activity of adolescents. The results and their significance: logically substantiated universal abstract-concrete coordinates of the universal movement are presented. In relation to life and the world of activity, they can be defined by the coordinates: “standard of living - activity efficiency”, or “action efficiency - time”, or “result - costs”, or “quality - quantity” etc. Clarity of thinking is ensured by the logic of movement vectors descending from the real to the abstract, ascending from the abstract to the real, as well as their combination. The constant need for cognitive activity creates in students a feeling of cognitive satisfaction, seeing the result of curiosity, its planning and organization. This result teaches the teenager to actively seek new cognitive activities and gain experience in mastering the subject.

Development of strength abilities of high school students by means of health fitness

The article highlights the problem of developing strength abilities in high school students by means of fitness in a physical culture and health center. It is emphasized that one of the most effective means of maintaining the proper psycho-emotional and physical condition of schoolchildren in the conditions of war in Ukraine is regular physical activity. In this regard, the improvement of the entire system of physical education, in particular, of high school students, is one of the directions for improving their health, increasing motivation for physical education both in educational institutions and in physical culture and health facilities. Іt is noted that strength fitness classes are popular among high school students, which includes a large number of various training programs that differ in their structure, content, and implementation methods. Thus, the purpose of the study is to highlight the theoretical and methodological features of strength fitness classes for high school students in a physical education and health center. Attention is focused on the fact that the method of using strength exercises in health fitness is significantly different from that in strength and speed-strength sports, since the main task of the classes is not the maximum development of strength qualities, but the improvement of the physical condition of the participants. The basic principles of strength training include the correct selection of strength exercises, repetitions, sets (approaches), the pace of exercises and the amount of weight, rest intervals. The authors defined the means and methods of developing strength abilities, the requirements for planning a fitness program for young men aged 15-17, outlined the criteria for the effectiveness of strength fitness classes, and developed methodical recommendations. Therefore, the technology of developing strength abilities includes: analysis of age, sex, and individual characteristics of the development of strength and speed-strength abilities; implementation of the principles of physical education in the process of strength development; methods of strength development (means and methods of strength development; load and rest; programming, forms of organization of classes); pedagogical control over the development of strength abilities. Means of recovery of working capacity should also be used: massage, vitaminization, rational nutrition.

Gamification and academic ability impact on students' meta-cognition and critical thinking skills

In educational settings, the metacognitive skills and critical thinking abilities of students often show room for improvement. This research aims to find out the influence of gamification methods and academic ability on metacognitive skills and critical thinking ability of high school students in Biology subjects. The independent variable in this research is the application of the Gamification method and a different method, namely the Synchronous-asynchronous method. The moderator variable is the difference in students' academic ability. The dependent variables are metacognitive and critical thinking skills. The instrument used to collect data is a test question developed to measure metacognitive and critical thinking skills. The study comprised two distinct stages. Firstly, the Dick & Carey development steps were used for development research. Secondly, a quasi-experiment was conducted using a 2x2 factorial design with 62 students divided into two groups. The research data was analyzed using the MANOVA statistical analysis technique. Based on the research results, it can be recommended that the Gamification learning method needs to be applied in the classroom with attention to the student's academic abilities.

Technological tools in the development of skills and abilities in the subject of Entrepreneurship and Management

In Ecuador, the subject of entrepreneurship and management is taught to students in the third year of the unified general baccalaureate. However, this subject is taught following a traditional line of text management and expositions that do not allow the student to approach a technology-based education. This study explored how technological tools can be used to improve the skills and abilities of high school students in the Tulcán Educational Unit, Ecuador. The research was carried out under a mixed approach with a descriptive, bibliographic and field scope. Survey and interview techniques were applied to students and teachers of the Institution. Based on the results, a virtual classroom proposal was designed in Moodle 4.1 to awaken the entrepreneurial spirit of students regarding the creation of web pages, logo design, creation of digital advertising, among others. This study concludes that the virtual classroom proposal contributes to improve the teaching-learning process in the subject of Entrepreneurship and Management, adapting to the needs of the students.

Analysis of High School Students' Critical Thinking Ability in Solving Mathematical Problems with Independence Problem-Based Learning (IPBL) Model: A Case Study on Middle Class Students

This research aims to analyze the critical thinking ability of high school students in solving mathematical problems by implementing the Independence Problem Based Learning (IPBL) model. The research method was conducted through a case study involving high school students as research subjects. This case study was conducted on two 10th-grade high school students at SMA Negeri 1 Paguyangan, Brebes, Central Java. The instrument used to measure critical thinking ability was a written test adapted to the context of mathematics. The results showed a significant improvement in students' critical thinking abilities after participating in learning with the IPBL model. Discussion of the results highlights the importance of the IPBL model in enhancing students' critical thinking abilities and its implications in the context of mathematics learning at the high school level. These findings contribute significantly to our understanding of the effectiveness of the IPBL learning model in improving students' critical thinking abilities, as well as demonstrating its relevance in the context of more effective and in-depth mathematics learning at the high school level.

Analysis of students’ scientific reasoning ability on static fluid topics

The aim of the research was to identify the Scientific Reasoning abilities of high school students on the topic of Static Fluids. This type of research is a quantitative survey design. This survey research involved 78 class XII students at a private high school in East Java, Indonesia who had taken the material. This research uses a Scientific Reasoning Test instrument in the form of an essay with 7 questions at the HOTS level with Cronbach’s Alpha reliability of 0.77. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics followed by classification based on the Static Fluid subtopic and level of Scientific Reasoning ability. The survey results show that the average score of students is 20.15 with a concrete operational level. The results of other studies indicate that the subtopics all at the concrete operational level. Meanwhile, if we look at the scientific reasoning indicators, it is found that the proportional reasoning indicators are the most problematic, with an average of 18.43 level 1. Scientific reasoning abilities are related to the mastery of concepts and learning experienced by students, therefore it is necessary to use learning that can explore these abilities such as Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM).

ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA SMA BERDASARKAN PERSPEKTIF SEMIOTIK PEIRCE

This study aimed to analyze and describe the mathematical communication abilities of high school students of the Xth grade based on Peirce's semiotic perspectives. The research method used in this research is descriptive. Sampling techniques using purposive sampling. The instrument for gathering data on this research is a test of mathematical communication skills. All the MIPA 1 class X students were identified through their communication skills tests, and then three students represented the highest category. Tests were carried out on trigonometric derivatives. Further analysis of the entire data is carried out with the following steps: data reduction stage, data presentation stage, and conclusion. The results of the study showed that these high-level students could associate representations seen, make complex mathematical expressions, describe various representations of symbols or images made by students when dealing with mathematics problems, explain clearly and in-depth the mathematic processes they perform, represent a concept (objects) verbally or visually, and associate their representations with relevant concepts or material. Mathematical Communication Ability of High School Students in the Implementation of Experiental Learning Model

The objective of this research is to determine whether the enhancement in mathematical communication skills of students instructed with the experiential learning model surpasses that of students instructed with the conventional learning model. This research is a quasi-experimental research design, with the research sample comprising one experimental class (utilizing the experiential learning model) and one control class (following the conventional approach), each consisting of 20 students. The research instrument employed is a descriptive test comprising a pretest and posttest. Based on the research data analyzed using the N-Gain hypothesis test, it can be concluded that there is an improvement in students' mathematical communication skills in the context of the three-variable linear equation system material. This improvement is more pronounced among students taught using the experiential learning model compared to those instructed using the conventional learning model.

Communicative abilities of high school students from the perspective of ecopsychological types of agent-environment interactions

The paper is devoted to an empirical study of the communicative abilities of high school students in the context of ecopsychological types of agent-environment interactions. The relevance of this topic is explained by the need to develop in high school students the ability for dialogic communication in joint activities. Ecopsychological typology of agent-environment interactions and types of personality orientation in communication were used as theoretical premises. The study was conducted on 85 students in the 10th and 11th grades of Vladimir (30 boys and 55 girls) using the “Personality Orientation in Communication” method. The results obtained from this sample show that in 92.6% of cases the communicative abilities of high school students represent monological types of personality orientation. While the dialogic orientation, corresponding to the agent-generating and agent-joint types of interactions, is presented in only 7.4% of cases. The majority of high school students (56.9%) showed an average level of development of such communicative ability as personality orientation in communication. High school students are most likely to have a subjective position in communication. It is expressed in the desire to use communication to manipulate others (manipulative type of orientation), which corresponds to the agent-object type of communicative interactions. At the same time, a significant portion of high school students are characterized by a desire to take an objective position in communication, submitting to the opinions of others (conformal orientation), which corresponds to the agent-subject type of communicative interactions.

Analysis of the correlation between critical thinking and metacognitive skills of senior high school students in biology Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia

There is a need to map the connection between critical thinking and metacognitive skills of high school students so that educators can determine learning steps to help students obtain optimal learning outcomes and 21st-century skills. The research objective is to Examine the relationship between high school biology students' metacognitive abilities and critical thinking education. It is a quantitative-correlational study. The research sample was 230 grade XI students pursuing science specialization obtained by purposive random sampling from Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The research instrument used is an examination formatted as an essay that has been confirmed by professionals. The research data is the value of critical thinking and metacognitive skills from the results of taking tests in the form of essays. The method of data analysis was used through linear regression analysis using SPSS 23 for Windows. The study's findings indicate a strong correlation between critical thinking and metacognitive abilities of high school students in biology education with a significance value of 0.000 (p ˂ 0.05). It can be seen that critical thinking skills contribute 68.6% to students' metacognitive skills. Therefore, this research finds that there is a substantial correlation between high school biology students' metacognitive abilities and critical thinking. Teachers can use the research findings to identify instructional strategies that foster critical thinking in order to help students become more independent and metacognitive.

Identification of HOTS Problem Solving Ability of High School Students Using Two Tier Diagnostic

The purpose of this study is to describe HOTS problem solving skills for high school students through the use of the 2nd Tier Diagnostic. The research is conducted using the descriptive qualitative method. SMAN Balung MIPA 4 Research subjects at Jember Regency Data Collection Techniques in the form of Written Test Questions and Semi-Structured Interviews Data on Problem Solving Skills using 5 Stages Krulick & Rudnick Stages Read and Think, Explore and plan, select a strategy, Find and Answer, Reflect and Extend. The Two Tier Diagnosis Method is composed of two stages. First, students write down how they get the answers, and second, they write down the reasons why they choose that method. The study showed that students with high mathematical problems solving skills were able to write mathematical symbols well, even write answers consistently, and write the final solution along with the question. Students with moderate abilities were unable to write the mathematical symbols well, and even wrote the stages of completion incorrectly, resulting in the majority of the final answers being wrong.

The Effectiveness of DISTAD Learning Model on Metabolism Material for Critical Thinking Ability of High School Students

Class XII metabolic material has its own level of difficulty compared to other materials, because the material is difficult for the eye to perceive directly and involves a long process of enzymatic reactions. Metabolism learning at SMA Negeri 1 Karangkobar is less interactive causing students to be less critical in understanding material concepts. One alternative to improve critical thinking skills is the DISTAD Learning model (integration of the Discovery Learning model and the Student Teams Achievement Division model). The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the DISTAD Learning model on metabolic material on high school students' critical thinking skills. This research is a quantitative research with the type of experimental research using the Pre-Experimental Design in the form of one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study were students of class XII MIPA 1 to XII MIPA 5 SMA Negeri 1 Karangkobar for the academic year 2022/2023. Sampling was carried out using saturated sampling technique. The data collection technique used the test method and the students' critical thinking skills were tested with the One Sample T-test. The increase in students' critical thinking skills was seen from the average student score after participating in the DISTAD Learning model learning of 78.6 which was included in the high category with 76% of students obtaining grades ≥ KKM. Based on the calculation of the N-Gain test, there was an increase in three aspects of students' critical thinking skills, namely the aspect of giving simple explanations of 0.54, the aspect of making conclusions by 0.38, and the aspect of making further explanations of 0.61, where in the third This aspect shows the moderate category. In the analysis of the One Samples T-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). The conclusion of this study is that the application of the DISTAD Learning model is effective in increasing the critical thinking skills of high school students.

A Profile of Senior High School Students’ Problem-solving Skills on Dynamic Fluid Materials

Physics learning requires problem-solving in the learning process. This research is a pre-experimental study with random samples. This research aims to find out the initial profile of high school students’ problem-solving on dynamic fluid material. The subjects of this study were 108 students of grade XI in senior high school. The problem-solving indicator used ACCES, which consists of 5 indicators. The result shows that the problem-solving abilities of high school students in dynamic fluid material still need to be improved because of several factors. Earning models and media need to be more relevant in supporting students’ problem-solving abilities. This research can be used as empirical evidence that students’ problem-solving skill in dynamic fluid material needs to be improved.

The Effect of Mathematical Habits of Mind and Early Mathematical Ability on Modeling Ability of High School Students

Modeling mathematics serves as a bridge between the processes of translating real-world problems into mathematics. In reality, however, students' mathematical modeling skills, including their knowledge of derivative applications, remain subpar. This study is intended to determine the relationship between mathematical modeling skills, mathematical habits of mind (MHoM), and early mathematical ability (EMA). This research employed a quantitative methodology with mix method sequential explanatory design. The method used a quantitative and qualitative approach. The first quantitative phase is used, then explained more deeply through the qualitative phase. Sample in this study were 36 eleventh-grade students from one of Tasikmalaya's senior high schools. In this investigation, the EMA was the previous semester's math report card grade. A mathematical modeling ability test question and an MHoM questionnaire were administered to students, and the quantitative analysis of the results followed. This study demonstrates that the relationship between MHoM and EMA has a 31.2% modeling capability. In addition, a one-point increase in MHoM and EMA increases the average mathematical modeling ability of pupils by 1,570 and 2,241. Therefore, it can be concluded that MHoM and EMA have a positive effect on mathematical modeling ability.

Development of Project Based Learning With STEAM Approach Model in Improving the Science Literacy Ability of High School Students

Facing today's 21st century learning, teachers need to foster science literacy and consider learning strategies that are appropriate to the conditions and potential of learners. This study aims to develop a PjBL with STEAM approach model in improving science literacy ability of high school students. This study is a development research with the Borg Gall development model. The sample of this study was class X students of SMAN 2 Selong, totaling 35 students. The instruments used to collect data include guidelines for validating learning design, practicality questionnaires and science literacy ability tests on ecosystem materials. The data analysis used in this study used descriptive analysis. Based on the validation analysis, the products developed are included in the valid category indicated by the average score of product validation by 3 experts, namely linguists, material experts and learning technology experts successively 83.91; 84.64 and 83.73. Similarly, in terms of practicality, the products developed are also classified as practical with an average practicality score of 82.63. The product is also classified as effective with a percentage of effectiveness of 88.57%. The product developed has a potential effect in the high category to improve science literacy ability on ecosystem materials with an N-Gain of 0.76

The Influence of the Connected Mathematics Project Model on Mathematics Learning on Students’ Mathematics Learning on Students’ Mathematical Reasoning Abilities at SMAN 2 Rumbio Jaya

This research was motivated by the problem of low mathematical reasoning ability of students in mathematics learning in grade XI SMAN 2 Rumbio Jaya. One solution to overcome this problem is to use the connected mathematics project (CMP) learning model. The purpose of this study was to improve the mathematical reasoning ability of high school students. This type of research is quasi-experimental research or pseudo-experiments involving two classes that are given different treatments, namely the experimental class and the control class. The research subjects consisted of class XI where class XI IPS1 was an experimental class with a total of 19 people and class XI IPS2 in the form of a control class with a total of 21 people. The sample technique uses simple random sampling. Before being given experimental class treatment and control class is first given a test, namely pretest, and after being given experimental class treatment and control class given posttest test. The results of this study, students' mathematical reasoning ability in the control class was found to be on average in the control class of 76.19 while in the experimental class it was found to be an average of 83.00. So that the Connected Mathematics Project model has a significant effect on the mathematical reasoning ability of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Rumbio Jaya. This is evidenced by an independent t-test, where the sig value is 0.000 < 0.05.
