The Impact of the Pandemic on the Performance of Industrial Construction Projects in Indonesia

The Covid-19 outbreak has caused economic downturns and recession. In 2021, Covid-19 cases in Indonesia has a significant increase. The construction sector in Indonesia faced substantial challenges due to the pandemic, evidenced by contracted growth. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the construction industry cannot be viewed solely from an economic perspective but must consider various factors. Issues in the construction industry affect project performance. Previous research could not interpret the relationship between individual pandemic impacts and project performance levels. Therefore, this study aims to determine factors Covid-19 pandemic affects construction project performance in Indonesia. The study identifies five factors that may influence project performance: (1) challenges in implementing social distancing, (2) movement restrictions, (3) challenges of working from home (WFH), (4) planning for worker limitations, and (5) use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Data was collected using questionnaires distributed to project managers in the construction industry. Primary analysis was conducted using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results indicate that three variables significantly impact project performance in the construction industry. The level of movement restrictions during the pandemic (lockdown) and the planning for worker limitations negatively affect project performance, while movement restrictions positively affect the challenges of implementing social distancing.

Analysis of Standard Time for Making Gasket at PT. Nichias Rockwool Indonesia

Nichias Rockwool Indonesia is a pioneer in heat protection materials and technology protection in various industrial sectors. PT. Nichias Rockwool Indonesia has several main products which are divided into three parts, namely rockwool, sealing gasket, and autoparts. The production process involves machines such as forming, winding, marking and so on. In order to increase production capacity, PT. Nichias Rockwool Indonesia uses a target completion time for a product. Therefore, it is necessary to calculate the standard time in the completion of the gasket assembly process. Process standard time in a company allows a uniform period of time used to complete production within a company. The measurement of working time to be carried out in this study uses the stopwatch time study method. This method is done by measuring time by observing and recording work operation times. This time data will then be calculated standard time. The number of research data is 150 data taken from selected trained operators. Factors of adjustment and allowances (allowance) using the Westinghouse method. The result of this research is that the cycle time is 21.67 seconds, the normal time is 23.62 seconds, and the standard time is 28.34 seconds. Production capacity before the standard time was only 553 gaskets per day, after calculating the standard time it increased to 889 gaskets per day or 54.97%.

Designing a Mobile Application for Pool Water Quality Monitoring Based on the Internet of Things

Changes in temperature, pH, and turbidity in concrete fish ponds greatly impact to the fish survival. Initial observations showed that among 3.067 fish seeds, 1.633 fish (53%) died and only 1.434 fish (47%) was successfully harvested. The application of water quality monitoring devices from concrete pools designed based on the Internet of Things technology has been tested. The monitoring equipment will not function optimally without an application that functions to receive monitoring data and then take action. Pool water quality monitoring equipment connected to the cloud using a GSM network connection. The recorded data is then displayed on the water quality monitoring application that designed using the Android operating system. Application design is developed using a User-Centered Design approach, where the design process was carried out by considering several variables: ease for use, clarity of information delivery, the fulfillment of needs, and appearance. Based on the results of the design evaluation, weaknesses can be determined, namely, difficulty to find the search menu for click history data, find the refresh button, read the results of searching for historical data, and read data in tables and graphs. Based on this, further improvements can be made to improve the application being made. The monitoring equipment is expected to provide information to pond managers to immediately take action if changing in pH and temperature beyond the limit so that the fish mortality rate can be minimized.

Analisis Ekonomi Usaha Peternakan Ayam Pedaging Pola Kemitraan Inti-Plasma di Kabupaten Lamongan

Kabupaten Lamongan merupakan kabupaten dengan populasi ayam pedaging tertinggi di Jawa Timur pada Tahun 2017-2018. Peluang usaha di bidang peternakan ayam pedaging merupakan usaha yang dianggap menjanjikan, siklus pemeliharaan yang hanya memakan waktu sekitar 35 hari membuat peternak tidak perlu menunggu waktu yang lama untuk menikmati hasil, apalagi telah berkembang peternakan dengan pola inti-plasma. Dengan hubungan mutualisme dimana banyak peternak yang memiliki keterbatasan modal, sementara perusahaan mitra juga membutuhkan tempat pemelihaaran ayam pedaging yang tidak hanya berfokus pada satu wilayah maka berkembanglah pola kemitraan inti-plasma antara perusahaan dengan peternak. Penelitian ini menganalisis sisi ekonomi usaha peternakan dengan pola kemitraan inti-plasma dengan PT. CA Unit Lamongan sebagai studi kasus. Peternak-01 dengan rangka kandang dari beton dan bahan lain kayu dan bambu, memiliki nilai investasi sebesar Rp. 450.000.000 (kapasitas 14.000 ekor) diestimasikan berumur 30 tahun, dengan berpatokan pada pendapatan bersih pada siklus terakhir sebesar Rp. 25.160.000,- dan tingkat suku bunga 3% menghasilkan nilai NPV sebesar Rp. 2.826.618.448, nilai ROR 28,54%, Payback Period 2,28 tahun. Sedangkan Peternak-02 dengan rangka kandang dari kayu dan bahan lain dari bambu, memiliki nilai investasi sebesar Rp. 250.000.000 (kapasitas 12.000 ekor) diestimasikan berumur 15 tahun, dengan berpatokan pada pendapatan bersih pada siklus terakhir sebesar Rp. 21.830.000,- dan tingkat suku bunga 3% menghasilkan nilai NPV sebesar Rp. 1.497.984.299, nilai ROR 33,47%, Payback Period 1,14 tahun. Hasil analisis sensitivitas juga dapat disimpulkan investasi usaha peternakan pola kemitraan inti-plasma layak dilakukan.

IT Audit of Online Single Submission (OSS) Application version 1.1 with COBIT 5.0

Investment and One Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP) is a government agency that serves licensing and investment that uses the information system from BKPM RI, OSS 1.1. DPMPTSP of XYZ City found several obstacles in the use of OSS 1.1, including OSS 1.1 unable to display reports based on the type of permit, there were some licenses that were not integrated yet, there was no link with the licensing agency, so an OSS 1.1 system audit was needed. with a case study in DPMPTSP XYZ City. This audit aims to determine the OSS system capability level 1.1. which refers to the implementation process in DPMPTSP. The method used is descriptive qualitative with primary data type in the form of data from interviews with DPMPTSP. Data collection was carried out by interview and question methods from the COBIT 5 domain. Based on the results of an audit of research conducted using the CobIT 5.0 framework, resulting in a level of capability and recommendations. The current OSS system capability level 1.1, Evaluate, Direct and Monitor (EDM) domains are at capability level 2.6 (Managed), Align, Plan and Organize (APO) domains are at capability level 2.4 (Managed), Build domain, Acquire and Implement (BAI) are at capability level 2.3 (Managed), Deliver domains, Service and Support (DSS) are at capability level 2.3 (Managed), Monitor, Evaluate and Assess (MEA) domains are at level capability 2.6 (Managed). In this condition OSS 1.1 system governance has been implemented well in XYS City DPMPTSP with several recommendations to DPMPTSP so that it can be submitted to BKPM RI to improve OSS 1.1 system governance so that it runs more optimally.
