Abstract

We report on an empirical investigation concerning the concept of spatial imagination of first grade pupils. The ability of 57 children is investigated to reproduce configurations of cubes which are represented in one of the following three media: with real cubes, in a graphical representation, in a newly developed plane material of cardboard. The reproduction is asked for in the same three media.
