Abstract

This chapter examines the function of in the study of old testament. The theme implies a dual consensus, first it examines what is meant by sociology and second, that can make sense and contribute to the study of the Testament. The Old Testament as a research takes qualitatively different forms in the geophysical natural environment, in the archeological artifacts and in the texts. This situation was the indiscriminate for the application of sociological concepts. The specific methods suitable for analysis of texts in sociological methods include interaction analysis and role analysis. In the old testament priest Ezekiel has clearly broken the limits of his role with his siege game, injured his professional ethics and violated his own economic and social interests.
