Abstract

The many-body problem of a Fermion-system interacting by means of a separable potential, which is not restricted to act only between opposite momenta, is investigated using the Klein-Prange formalism. We apply the ladder approximation including hole-hole scattering and self-energy terms. It is shown, that even if singularities of the Gottfried type are present, the problem may be treated in a fully consistent way. For weak coupling the connection with the theory of super-conductivity and recent results ofPrange is established. The integral equation for the two point function contains terms, which may be neglected in the weak coupling limit, whose influence for the strong coupling case however has not yet been investigated.
