Abstract

How does "sustainable eating" and "sustainable clothing" look like? How can the main actors of the food and textile industries be motivated to make sustainable future scenarios come true? The so-called "COSY-Workshops", organised by the Institute for Economy and the Environment at the University of St. Gallen (IWÖ-HSG), deal with these questions. Some main actors of the Swiss food and textile industries were invited to create visionary scenarios and take first steps to implement them. The present article describes the visionary ecological scenarios as developed by the participants and critically reflects the workshops processes and results in the food and textile industries.
