Abstract

The article talks about the difficulties faced by Rais Rasulzadeh, the honored artist of Azerbaijan, returning to Azerbaijan after his life in exile, how he had to live and create in the basement for 12 years of his life because he had no place to stay in his native land, his ancestral home. Despite the conditions in the basement, the artist did not turn from the path he took and, braving all the difficulties, was able to achieve his wishes in the end. Here, the artist's art, starting from Kazakhstan, and through which paths it reached the current period, is reflected in all its details. In the text, the difficulties faced by Rais Rasulzadeh, the grandson of Mammad Amin Rasulzadeh, after returning to his homeland, at which times he made friends, who he supported in art, and many other issues were touched upon. Despite all the difficulties, the artist developed and formed in art and managed to stand out with his unique creativity in the contemporary art of Azerbaijan. The formation of Rais Rasulzade's style stems directly from his love for his homeland, Azerbaijan. The artist, who creates works in various genres, stands out for his works in the landscape genre. The main purpose of the article is that the determined artist can advance on the artistic path full of difficulties without stumbling and thereby become an example for the younger generation. The author explores concepts such as "the life of an artist in exile", "artist's creativity", "difficulties faced by the artist in the homeland", "the place of the artist in the modern art of Azerbaijan".
