Abstract

Covid-19 is a very serious threat to the survival of people around the world and various fields of life activities are forced to change the system from what should be offline to online in order to keep it running smoothly, one of which is in the field of education. PJJ is indeed the right choice during the pandemic to break the chain of the spread of Covid-19. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the zoom meeting cloud application on the ability to understand students' concepts and determine student responses in using the zoom meeting cloud application for lectures. The research was carried out at the Adiguna Maritime Indonesia Polytechnic with a sample of 25 students in the General Physics course using purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a student response instrument in the form of a questionnaire and an instrument for understanding concepts in the form of an essay. The conclusion obtained in the study is that Zoom Cloud Meetings are quite effectively used as an alternative media for online learning on Dynamic Electricity material, especially during the covid-19 pandemic and student responses are very satisfied while using Zoom Cloud Meetings as an alternative online learning media

Introduction

Materi Pokok Listrik Dinamis merupakan salah satu sub-bab yang ada pada mata kuliah Fisika Umum. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai formatif mahasiswa untuk materi Listrik Dinamis yang masuk kategori Baik 10% dan sangat baik 4%. Upaya untuk bertahan selama maraknya penyebaran covid-19, seluruh sistem diberbagai bidang harus tetap berlangsung yang pada akhirnya memaksa merubah sistem dari yang seharusnya offline menjadi online. Salah satu aktivitas yang berubah konsepnya adalah bidang pendidikan, yakni dari awal sistem pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah offline/luring (luar jaringan) berubah menjadi daring (dalam jaringan)/Pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ). Secara yuridis pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) merupakan pola pembelajaran yang berlangsung dengan adanya keterpisahan antara guru dan anak didik. Salah satu pembelajaran jarak jauh yang dapat diimplementasikan pada mahasiswa adalah dengan video conference. Pemanfaatan video conference dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh dapat membantu anak didik dan pendidik tetap melakukan interaksi tatap muka meskipun tidak berdekatan
