Abstract
It is the biggest advantage of e-Learning that allows ubiquitous study over time and place. In this new online learning environment, teachers and learners do not have to be at the same time and place. It has a significant meaning in terms of better accessibility to the learning opportunities as well as enhanced efficiency in education. On the other hand, however, there is also growing concern about e-Learning: academic courses in the university generally involves a significant amount of presentation, debate, and mutual interaction, which is impracticable in e-Learning. Others are also concerned that the efficiency of e-Learning may be compromised due to the difficulty in management of learners. To overcome these shortcomings, real-time e-Learning classes are being suggested recently. Real-time e-Learning classes are not constrained by the limits of time and space, allowing ubiquitous participation and interaction between the teacher and students. We propose a smart e-Learning model using Zoom platform in the beginner - intermediate level Chinese language course. In addition, the review on the efficiency of this smart e-Learning model and the statistical analyses of the survey results with learners’ feedback will be suggested.
